Acts 18:12-17

BLB(i) 12 But Gallio being proconsul of Achaia, the Jews with one accord rose up against Paul and led him to the judgment seat, 13 saying, “This man persuades men to worship God contrary to the Law.” 14 Now Paul being about to open the mouth, Gallio said to the Jews, “If indeed it was some unrighteousness or wicked crime, O Jews, according to reason I would have endured with you. 15 But if it is a question about a word, and names, and in reference to your law, you will see to it yourselves. I resolve not to be a judge of these things.” 16 And he drove them from the judgment seat. 17 Then all of them, having seized Sosthenes the ruler of the synagogue, began to beat him before the judgment seat. And it mattered nothing to Gallio about these things.
