Luke 10:30-37

BLB(i) 30 Jesus having taken it up, then said, “A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among robbers, who both having stripped him and having inflicted wounds, went away having left him half dead. 31 Now by chance a certain priest was going down on that road, and having seen him, he passed by on the opposite side. 32 And likewise also a Levite having come to the spot, and having seen him, passed by on the opposite side. 33 But a certain Samaritan journeying came to him, and having seen him was moved with compassion, 34 and having approached Him, he bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and having put him on his own beast, he brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 And on the next day, having taken out two denarii, he gave them to the innkeeper and said, ‘Take care of him, and whatever more you might expend, I will repay you on my returning.’ 36 Which of these three seems to you to have been a neighbor of the one having fallen among the robbers?” 37 And he said, “The one having shown compassion toward him.” Then Jesus said to him, “You go and do likewise.”
