CAB⁽ⁱ⁾ ²² saying, "The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and to be killed, and to be raised on the third day." ²³ Then He said to them all, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. ²⁴ For whoever desires to save his life shall lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake shall save it. ²⁵ For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost?
