CLV(i)
2 `Son of man, say to the leader of Tyre:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Because your heart has been high, And you do say:A el I [am], The habitation of Elohim I have inhabited, In the heart of the seas, And you [are] man, and not El, And you give out your heart as the heart of Elohim,
3 Lo, you [are] wiser than Daniel, No hidden thing have they concealed from you."
4 By your wisdom and by your understanding You have made for you wealth, And make gold and silver in your treasuries."
5 By the abundance of your wisdom, Through your merchandise, You have multiplied your wealth, And high is your heart through your wealth."
6 Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Because of your giving out your heart as the heart of Elohim,
7 Therefore, lo, I am bringing in against you strangers, The terrible of the nations, And they have drawn out their swords Against the beauty of your wisdom, And they have pierced your brightness."
8 To destruction they bring you down, You die by the deaths of the wounded, in the heart of the seas."
9 Do you really say, `I [am] Elohim,' Before him who is slaying you? And you [are] man, and not El, In the hand of him who is piercing you."
