Hebrews 2:14-18

CLV(i) 14 Since, then, the little children have participated in blood and flesh, He also was very nigh by partaking of the same, that, through death, He should be discarding him who has the might of death, that is, the Adversary, 15 and should be clearing those whoever, in fear of death, were through their entire life liable to slavery." 16 For assuredly it is not taking hold of messengers, but it is taking hold of the seed of Abraham." 17 Whence He ought, in all things, to be made like the brethren, that He may be becoming a merciful and faithful Chief Priest in that which is toward God, to make a propitiatory shelter for the sins of the people." 18 For in what He has suffered, undergoing trial, He is able to help those who are being tried."
