ECB⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁵ and say to him, Behold, you age; and your sons walk not in your ways: now set us a sovereign to judge us - as all the goyim. ⁶ And the word is evil in the eyes of Shemu El, when they say, Give us a sovereign to judge us. - and Shemu El prays to Yah Veh. ⁷ And Yah Veh says to Shemu El, Hearken to the voice of the people in all they say to you: for they refuse not you; but they refuse me; - that I not reign over them. ⁸ According to all the works they worked since the day I ascended them from Misrayim even to this day; wherewith they forsake me and serve other elohim, thus also they work to you:
