THE HEALING OF YECHIZQI YAH
In those days Yechizqi Yah is sick unto death: and Yesha Yah the prophet the son of Amos comes to him and says to him, Thus says Yah Veh, You, misvah concerning your house: for you die and live not. 2 And Yechizqi Yah turns his face toward the wall, and prays to Yah Veh, 3 and says, Remember, I beseech; O Yah Veh, I beseech you, how I walked at your face in truth and with a heart of shalom, and worked what is good in your eyes. - and Yechizqi Yah weeps with great weeping. 4 And the word of Yah Veh comes to Yesha Yah, saying, 5 Go, and say to Yechizqi Yah, Thus says Yah Veh, Elohim of David your father, I hear your prayer; I see your tears: behold, I add to your days fifteen years: 6 and I rescue you and this city from the palm of the sovereign of Ashshur; and I garrison this city: 7 and this is a sign to you from Yah Veh, that Yah Veh works this word he worded: 8 Behold, I turn back the shadow of the degrees which descends in the sun dial of Ach Az ten degrees backward. - thus the sun turns back ten degrees, by which degrees it had descended. 9 The inscribing of Yechizqi Yah sovereign of Yah Hudah, concerning his sickness, when he enlivened from his sickness: 10 I - I say, in the severing of my days, I go to the portals of sheol: I overlooked the remnant of my years. 11 I say, I see not Yah - Yah in the land of the living: I scan humanity no more with the settlers of the deceased. 12 My generation pulls stakes and exiles from me as the tent of a tender: my life - severed as a weaver: he clips me from the thrum: from day to night you shalam me: 13 I equate until morning; as a lion, thus he breaks all my bones: from day to night you shalam me. 14 As a horse or a swallow, thus I chirp: I coo as a dove: my eyes languish on high: O Yah Veh, I am oppressed; be my pledge. 15 What word I? He says to me and he works: I walk gently all my years in the bitterness of my soul. 16 Adonay, by these is life, and in all these is the life of my spirit: thus you fatten me and enliven me. 17 Behold, for shalom I was bitterly embittered: and you attached to my soul from the pit of ruin: for you cast all my sins behind your back. 18 For neither sheol spreads hands to you, nor death halals you: they who descend into the well expect not your truth. 19 The living - the living, he spreads hands to you, as I this day: the father makes known your truth to the sons. 20 Yah Veh - ready to save me: so we strum my strummings all the days of our life in the house of Yah Veh. 21 For Yesha Yah says, Let them bear a lump of figs and massage it on the ulcer, and live. 22 And Yechizqi Yah says, What is the sign that I ascend to the house of Yah Veh?
