THE PARABLE EXPLAINED
When anyone hears the word of the sovereigndom and comprehends not, the evil one comes and seizes what is spored in his heart: this is that spored by the way side. 20 And that spored on the rocky is whoever hears the word: and straightway takes it with cheer; 21 yet has he no root in himself but is temporary: for when tribulation or persecution become because of the word, he is straightway scandalized. 22 And that spored in the thorns is whoever hears the word: and the anxiety of this eon and the deceitfulness of riches strangle the word; and he becomes unfruitful. 23 And that spored in the good soil is whoever hears the word and comprehends: and now bears fruit and produces - some indeed a hundredfold; some sixty; some thirty.
