1 Samuel 20:3 וישׁבע swore עוד moreover, דוד And David ויאמר and said, ידע certainly knoweth ידע certainly knoweth אביך Thy father כי that מצאתי I have found חן grace בעיניך in thine eyes; ויאמר and he saith, אל Let not ידע know זאת this, יהונתן Jonathan פן lest יעצב he be grieved: ואולם but truly חי liveth, יהוה the LORD וחי liveth, נפשׁך and thy soul כי but a step ביני between ובין המות׃ me and death.
