Luke 14:7-11 And he put forth a parable to those which were bidden , when he marked how they chose out the chief rooms ; saying unto them,

9 G2532 And G2564 he that bade [G5660] G4571 thee G2532 and G846 him G2064 come [G5631] G2046 and say [G5692] G4671 to thee G1325 , Give [G5628] G5129 this man G5117 place G2532 ; and G5119 G756 thou begin [G5672] G3326 with G152 shame G2722 to take [G5721] G2078 the lowest G5117 room.

10 G235 But G3752 when G2564 thou art bidden [G5686] G4198 , go [G5679] G377 and sit down [G5657] G1519 in G2078 the lowest G5117 room G2443 ; that G3752 when G2564 he that bade [G5761] G4571 thee G2064 cometh [G5632] G2036 , he may say [G5632] G4671 unto thee G5384 , Friend G4320 , go up [G5628] G511 higher G5119 : then G4671 shalt thou G2071 have [G5704] G1391 worship G1799 in the presence G4873 of them that sit at meat [G5740] G4671 with thee.

11 G3754 For G3956 whosoever G5312 exalteth [G5723] G1438 himself G5013 shall be abased [G5701] G2532 ; and G5013 he that humbleth [G5723] G1438 himself G5312 shall be exalted [G5701] .
