2 Chronicles 15:8-15 And when Assa heard these words, and the prophecy of ‘Oded the prophet, he was strengthened, and he put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had captured from the mountain of Ephraim; and he renewed the altar of the Lord, that was before the porch of the Lord.

Leeser⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁸ And when Assa heard these words, and the prophecy of ‘Oded the prophet, he was strengthened, and he put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had captured from the mountain of Ephraim; and he renewed the altar of the Lord, that was before the porch of the Lord. ⁹ And he assembled all Judah and Benjamin, and those that sojourned with them out of Ephraim and Menasseh, and out of Simeon; for they had joined him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the Lord his God was with him. ¹⁰ And so they assembled themselves at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Assa. ¹¹ And they sacrificed unto the Lord on the same day, of the booty which they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep. ¹² And they entered into the covenant to seek the Lord the God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul; ¹³ So that whosoever would not seek the Lord the God of Israel should be put to death, from the small even up to the great, whether it be man or woman. ¹⁴ And they swore unto the Lord with a loud voice, and with joyful shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets. ¹⁵ And all Judah rejoiced because of the oath; for with all their heart had they sworn, and with their whole desire did they seek him, and he let himself be found by them: and the Lord gave them rest on every side.
