39 Because of this, they were not able to believe, because Isaiah said again,
40 ‘He has blinded their eyes and he has hardened their heart; in order that they should not see with their eyes and should perceive with their heart and should turn and that I might heal them.’
41 Isaiah said these things, when he saw his glory, and he spoke concerning him.
42 Nevertheless even many out of the rulers also believed in him, but they were not confessing it because of the Pharisees, in order that they might not become expelled from the synagogue;
43 for they loved the glory from men rather than the glory from God.
