14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 And he who spoke to me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city, and its gates, and its wall.
16 And the city was laid out in a square, its length equal to its breadth: and he measured the city with the rod, twelve thousand stadia. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17 And he measured its wall, a hundred and forty-four cubits, according to man's measurement, which the angel was using.
18 And the wall was made of jasper: and the city of pure gold, like clear glass.
19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald;
20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst.
21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each gate made of a single pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.
