Sawyer⁽ⁱ⁾ ² Then she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them, They have taken away the Lord from the tomb, and we know not where they have laid him. ³ Then went Peter and the other disciple, and came to the tomb. ⁴ And the two ran together; and the other disciple outran Peter and came first to the tomb, ⁵ and stooping down saw the bandages lying, but he went not in. ⁶ Then Simon Peter came following him, and went into the tomb, and beheld the bandages lying, ⁷ and the napkin which was on his head not lying with the bandages but folded up in a place by itself. ⁸ Then the other disciple who came first to the tomb also entered in, and saw and believed; ⁹ for they did not yet know the Scripture, that he must rise from the dead.
