24 Whereupon he cried and said, Father, Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
25 And Abraham said, Son, remember that thou receivedst thy good things in thy life time; and Lazarus in like manner, his evil things. But now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
26 But besides all this, there is betwixt us and you, a huge gulf fixed; so that they, who would go hence to you, cannot. Neither can they who are there, cross over to us.
