3 But when thou art doing an act of charity, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand is doing;
4 that thine act of charity may be in secret; and thy father who seeth in secret will himself reward thee openly.
5 And when thou prayest, be not like the hypocrites. Because they love to pray standing in the synagogues and at the corners of the streets that men may observe them; verily I say to you, They have their reward.
6 But as for thee, when thou wouldst pray, retire to thy closet, and having shut the door pray to thy father who is in secret, and thy father who seeth in secret will reward thee openly.
