1 And I was placed on the sand of the sea, and I saw a beast coming up out of the sea having seven heads and ten horns, and on its horns ten crowns, and on its heads a name of blasphemy.
2 And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and its feet as of a bear, and its mouth as the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave it his power and his throne and great authority.
3 And I saw one of its heads as if wounded to death; and this deadly wound of it was healed; and the whole earth followed this beast with admiration.
4 And they worshipped the dragon who had given the beast authority; and they worshipped the beast, saying, "Who is like this beast? Who is able to fight with it?"
5 And to it was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies. And power was given it to make war forty-two months.
6 And it opened its mouth for blasphemy against God, to slander his name and his tabernacle and them, who dwell in heaven.
7 And power was given it to make war against the saints and to conquer them; and authority was given it over every tribe and tongue and nation;
