Worrell⁽ⁱ⁾ ³ Let no one deceive you in any manner; because that day will not come, unless the falling away come first, and the man of lawlessness be revealed—the son of perdition; ⁴ he that opposes himself against, and exalts himself above, all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he sits in the temple of God, exhibiting himself as God. ⁵ Do ye not remember that, when I was yet with you, I was wont to tell you these things? ⁶ And now ye know what hinders his being revealed in his own season; ⁷ for the mystery of lawlessness is already working: only He Who hindereth will hinder, until He is taken out of the midst.
