John 16:16-22

Worrell(i) 16 A little while, and ye no longer behold Me; and again a little while, and ye will see Me." 17 Some of His disciples, therefore, said to one another, "What is this that He saith to us, 'A little while, and ye behold Me not; and again a little while, and ye will see Me;' and, 'Because I go to the Father?'" 18 They said, therefore, "What is this that He saith, 'A little while?'—we know not what He saith!" 19 Jesus knew that they wished to ask Him, and He said to them, "Do ye inquire among yourselves about this that I said, 'A little while, and ye behold Me not, and again a little while, and ye will see Me!' 20 Verily, verily, I say to you, that ye will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice: ye will be made sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy. 21 A woman, when she is in travail, has sorrow, because her hour came; but, when she bears the child, she no longer remembers the anguish, because of the joy that a man was born into the world. 22 And ye, therefore, now, indeed, have sorrow; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one takes away from you.
