18 And I also say to you, that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My assembly, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
19 I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven; and whatsoever you shall bind on the earth shall have been bound in Heaven, and whatsoever you shall loose on the earth shall have been loosed in Heaven."
20 Then He charged the disciples that they should tell no one that He was the Christ.
21 From that time began Jesus to show to His disciples, that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and high-priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised up.
22 And Peter, taking Him aside, began to rebuke Him, saying, "God be merciful to Thee! this shall not be to Thee."
23 But, turning, He said to Peter, "Get behind Me, Satan! you are a stumbling-block to Me; because you are not thinking of the things of God, but the things of men."
24 Then said Jesus to His disciples, "If any one wishes to come after Me, let him disown himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me;
25 for whosoever wishes to save his soul shall lose it, and whosoever shall lose his soul for My sake shall find it;
26 for what will a man be profited, if he gain the whole world, and suffer damage as to his soul? or what will a man give as an exchange for his soul?
27 For the Son of Man is about to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then will He render to each one according to his work.
28 Verily I say to you, there are some of those standing here, who will not taste of death, till they see the Son of Man coming in His Kingdom."
