¹³ Καὶ (And) ἀποστέλλει (He sends forth) δύο (two) τῶν (of the) μαθητῶν (disciples) αὐτοῦ (of Him) καὶ (and) λέγει (says) αὐτοῖς (to them), “Ὑπάγετε (Go) εἰς (into) τὴν (the) πόλιν (city), καὶ (and) ἀπαντήσει (will meet) ὑμῖν (you) ἄνθρωπος (a man), κεράμιον (a pitcher) ὕδατος (of water) βαστάζων (carrying). ἀκολουθήσατε (Follow) αὐτῷ (him).

⁹ καὶ (Also) γὰρ (for) ἐγὼ (I) ἄνθρωπός (a man) εἰμι (am) ὑπὸ (under) ἐξουσίαν (authority), ἔχων (having) ὑπ’ (under) ἐμαυτὸν (me) στρατιώτας (soldiers); καὶ (and) λέγω (I say) τούτῳ (to this one), ‘Πορεύθητι (Go),’ καὶ (and) πορεύεται (he goes); καὶ (and) ἄλλῳ (to another), ‘Ἔρχου (Come),’ καὶ (and) ἔρχεται (he comes); καὶ (and) τῷ (to) δούλῳ (the servant) μου (of me), ‘Ποίησον (Do) τοῦτο (this),’ καὶ (and) ποιεῖ (he does it).”

¹⁸ Ὁ (-) δὲ (And) εἶπεν (He said), “Ὑπάγετε (Go) εἰς (into) τὴν (the) πόλιν (city) πρὸς (unto) τὸν (a) δεῖνα (certain man) καὶ (and) εἴπατε (tell) αὐτῷ (him) Ὁ (the) Διδάσκαλος (Teacher) λέγει (says), ‘Ὁ (The) καιρός (time) μου (of Me) ἐγγύς (near) ἐστιν (is); πρὸς (with) σὲ (you) ποιῶ (I will keep) τὸ (the) πάσχα (Passover), μετὰ (with) τῶν (the) μαθητῶν (disciples) μου (of Me).’” ¹⁹ καὶ (And) ἐποίησαν (did) οἱ (the) μαθηταὶ (disciples) ὡς (as) συνέταξεν (directed) αὐτοῖς (them) ὁ (-) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus), καὶ (and) ἡτοίμασαν (prepared) τὸ (the) πάσχα (Passover).

² καὶ (and) λέγει (says) αὐτοῖς (to them), “Ὑπάγετε (Go) εἰς (into) τὴν (the) κώμην (village), τὴν (-) κατέναντι (before) ὑμῶν (you), καὶ (and) εὐθὺς (immediately), εἰσπορευόμενοι (entering) εἰς (into) αὐτὴν (it), εὑρήσετε (you will find) πῶλον (a colt) δεδεμένον (having been tied), ἐφ’ (upon) ὃν (which) οὐδεὶς (no one) οὔπω (not yet) ἀνθρώπων (of men) ἐκάθισεν (has sat); λύσατε (having untied) αὐτὸν (it), καὶ (also) φέρετε (bring it). ³ καὶ (And) ἐάν (if) τις (anyone) ὑμῖν (to you) εἴπῃ (says), ‘Τί (Why) ποιεῖτε (are you doing) τοῦτο (this)?’ εἴπατε (say), ‘‹Ὅτι› (Because) Ὁ (the) Κύριος (Lord) αὐτοῦ (of it) χρείαν (need) ἔχει (has), καὶ (and) εὐθὺς (soon) αὐτὸν (it) ἀποστέλλει (He will send) πάλιν (back) ὧδε (here).’”

³⁰ λέγων (saying), “Ὑπάγετε (Go) εἰς (into) τὴν (the) κατέναντι (ahead) κώμην (village), ἐν (in) ᾗ (which) εἰσπορευόμενοι (entering) εὑρήσετε (you will find) πῶλον (a colt) δεδεμένον (having been tied), ἐφ’ (on) ὃν (which) οὐδεὶς (no one) πώποτε (ever yet) ἀνθρώπων (of men) ἐκάθισεν (has sat); καὶ (and) λύσαντες (having untied) αὐτὸν (it), ἀγάγετε (bring it). ³¹ καὶ (And) ἐάν (if) τις (anyone) ὑμᾶς (you) ἐρωτᾷ (asks), ‘Διὰ (Because of) τί (why) λύετε (do you untie it)?’ οὕτως (thus) ἐρεῖτε (will you say), ‘Ὅτι (Because) Ὁ (the) Κύριος (Lord) αὐτοῦ (of it) χρείαν (need) ἔχει (has).’” ³² Ἀπελθόντες (Having departed) δὲ (then), οἱ (those) ἀπεσταλμένοι (having been sent) εὗρον (found it) καθὼς (as) εἶπεν (He had said) αὐτοῖς (to them). ³³ λυόντων (On untying) δὲ (then) αὐτῶν (of them) τὸν (the) πῶλον (colt), εἶπαν (said) οἱ (the) κύριοι (masters) αὐτοῦ (of it) πρὸς (to) αὐτούς (them), “Τί (Why) λύετε (untie you) τὸν (the) πῶλον (colt)?”

¹⁰ Ὁ (-) δὲ (And) εἶπεν (He said) αὐτοῖς (to them), “Ἰδοὺ (Behold), εἰσελθόντων (having entered) ὑμῶν (of you) εἰς (into) τὴν (the) πόλιν (city), συναντήσει (will meet) ὑμῖν (you) ἄνθρωπος (a man), κεράμιον (a pitcher) ὕδατος (of water) βαστάζων (carrying); ἀκολουθήσατε (follow) αὐτῷ (him) εἰς (into) τὴν (the) οἰκίαν (house) εἰς (into) ἣν (which) εἰσπορεύεται (he enters); ¹¹ καὶ (and) ἐρεῖτε (you shall say) τῷ (to the) οἰκοδεσπότῃ (master) τῆς (of the) οἰκίας (house), ‘Λέγει (Says) σοι (to you) ὁ (the) Διδάσκαλος (Teacher), “Ποῦ (Where) ἐστιν (is) τὸ (the) κατάλυμα (guest room), ὅπου (where) τὸ (the) πάσχα (Passover) μετὰ (with) τῶν (the) μαθητῶν (disciples) μου (of Me) φάγω (I may eat)?”’ ¹² κἀκεῖνος (And he) ὑμῖν (you) δείξει (will show) ἀνάγαιον (an upper room) μέγα (large), ἐστρωμένον (furnished); ἐκεῖ (there) ἑτοιμάσατε (prepare).” ¹³ Ἀπελθόντες (Having gone) δὲ (then), εὗρον (they found it) καθὼς (as) εἰρήκει (He had said) αὐτοῖς (to them); καὶ (and) ἡτοίμασαν (they prepared) τὸ (the) πάσχα (Passover).

⁵ Λέγει (Says) ἡ (the) μήτηρ (mother) αὐτοῦ (of Him) τοῖς (to the) διακόνοις (servants), “Ὅ (Whatever) τι (anyhow) ἂν (-) λέγῃ (He may say) ὑμῖν (to you), ποιήσατε (do).”

¹⁴ Ὑμεῖς (You) φίλοι (friends) μού (of Me) ἐστε (are) ἐὰν (if) ποιῆτε (you do) ἃ* (what) ἐγὼ (I) ἐντέλλομαι (command) ὑμῖν (you).

¹³ καὶ (And) οὐκ (not) ἔστιν (there is) κτίσις (creature) ἀφανὴς (hidden) ἐνώπιον (before) αὐτοῦ (Him); πάντα (all things) δὲ (however) γυμνὰ (are uncovered) καὶ (and) τετραχηλισμένα (laid bare) τοῖς (to the) ὀφθαλμοῖς (eyes) αὐτοῦ (of Him) πρὸς (to) ὃν (whom) ἡμῖν (is our) ὁ (-) λόγος (reckoning).

⁹ καὶ (and) τελειωθεὶς (having been perfected), ἐγένετο (He became) πᾶσιν (to all) τοῖς (those) ὑπακούουσιν (obeying) αὐτῷ (Him), αἴτιος (the author) σωτηρίας (of salvation) αἰωνίου (eternal),
