¹ And they came to the other side of the sea, to the region of the Gerasenes. ² And of Him having gone forth out of the boat, immediately out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit met Him, ³ who had the dwelling in the tombs. And no longer was anyone able to bind him, not even with chains, ⁴ because he often had been bound with shackles and chains, and the chains had been torn in two by him, and the shackles had been shattered, and no one was able to subdue him. ⁵ And constantly all night and day in the tombs and in the mountains, he was crying out and cutting himself with stones. ⁶ And having seen Jesus from afar, he ran and fell on his knees before Him. ⁷ And having cried in a loud voice, he said, “What to me and to You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I adjure You by God, do not torment me.” ⁸ For He was saying to him, “You come forth out of the man, unclean spirit!” ⁹ And He was asking him, “What is your name?” And he answered saying, “My name is Legion, because we are many.” ¹⁰ And he begged Him numerous times that He would not send them out of the country. ¹¹ Now there was a great herd of pigs there near the mountain, feeding. ¹² And they begged Him, saying, “Send us into the pigs, so that we may enter into them.” ¹³ And He allowed them. And the unclean spirits having gone out, entered into the pigs, and the herd—about two thousand—rushed down the steep bank into the sea, and they were drowned in the sea. ¹⁴ And those feeding them fled and proclaimed it to the city and to the country. And they went out to see what it is that has been done. ¹⁵ And they come to Jesus and see the man possessed by demons sitting, clothed and sound minded—the one having had the legion—and they were afraid. ¹⁶ And those having seen it related to them how it happened to the one being possessed by demons, and concerning the pigs. ¹⁷ And they began to implore Him to depart from their region. ¹⁸ And He having entered into the boat, the one having been possessed by demons was begging Him that he might be with Him. ¹⁹ And He did not permit him, but He says to him, “Go to your home, to your own, and preach to them how much the Lord did for you and had mercy on you.” ²⁰ And he departed and began to proclaim in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him; and all were marveling. ²¹ And Jesus having passed over again in the boat to the other side, a great crowd was gathered to Him, and He was beside the sea. ²² And one of the synagogue rulers comes, named Jairus, and having seen Him, falls at His feet, ²³ and he begs Him much, saying, “My little daughter is holding at the end, that having come, You would lay the hands on her, so that she might be cured, and she shall live.” ²⁴ And He departed with him. And a great crowd was following Him and pressing in on Him. ²⁵ And a woman, being with a flux of blood twelve years, ²⁶ and having suffered much under many physicians and having spent everything of hers, and having benefited in no way, but rather to the worse having come, ²⁷ having heard concerning Jesus, having come up in the crowd behind, she touched His clothing. ²⁸ For she was saying, “If I shall touch even His garments, I will be healed.” ²⁹ And immediately her flow of blood was dried up, and she knew in the body that she was healed from the affliction. ³⁰ And immediately Jesus, having known in Himself the power having gone forth out of Him, having turned in the crowd, said, “Who touched My garments?” ³¹ And His disciples were saying to Him, “You see the crowd pressing in on You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’” ³² And He was looking around to see the one having done this. ³³ And the woman, having been frightened and trembling, knowing what had been done to her, came and fell down before Him, and told Him the whole truth. ³⁴ And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you; go in peace and be sound from your affliction.” ³⁵ While yet He is speaking, they come from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying, “Your daughter is dead; why do you trouble the Teacher still?” ³⁶ But Jesus, having heard the word spoken, says to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not fear; only believe.” ³⁷ And He did not allow anyone to follow with Him, except Peter, and James, and John the brother of James. ³⁸ And they come to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and He beholds a commotion, and much weeping and wailing. ³⁹ And having entered, He says to them, “Why do you make a commotion and weep? The child is not dead, but sleeps.” ⁴⁰ And they were laughing at Him. And He, having put all outside, takes with Him the father and the mother of the child, and those with Him, and enters in where the child was. ⁴¹ And having taken the hand of the child, He says to her, “Talitha, koum!” which is translated, “Little girl, I say to you, arise!” ⁴² And immediately the girl arose and began walking, for she was twelve of years. And immediately they were overcome with great amazement. ⁴³ And He instructed them strictly that no one should know this; and He commanded to be given to her to eat.

²⁸ And He having come to the other side, to the region of the Gadarenes, two being possessed by demons met Him, coming forth out of the tombs, extremely violent, so that no one was able to pass by that way. ²⁹ And behold, they cried out saying, “What to us and to you Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?” ³⁰ Now there was far off from them a herd of many pigs feeding. ³¹ And the demons were begging Him, saying, “If You cast us out, send us away into the herd of pigs.” ³² And He said to them, “Go!” And having gone out, they went away into the pigs, and behold, all the herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea and perished in the waters. ³³ And those feeding them fled, and having gone away into the city, they related everything, including the matter of those being possessed by demons. ³⁴ And behold, all the city went out to meet Jesus. And having seen Him, they begged Him that He would depart from their region.

³⁵ And on that day, evening having come, He says to them, “Let us pass over to the other side.”

²⁶ And they sailed down to the region of the Gerasenes, which is opposite Galilee. ²⁷ And He having gone forth upon the land, a certain man out of the city met Him, having demons, and a long time he was not wearing clothing and did not abide in a house, but in the tombs. ²⁸ And having seen Jesus, having cried out, he fell down before Him and said in a loud voice, “What to me and to You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore of You that You might not torment me!” ²⁹ For He was commanding the unclean spirit to come out from the man. For it had seized him many times, and he was bound, being kept with chains and shackles. And breaking the chains, he was driven by the demon into the deserts. ³⁰ And Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” And he said, “Legion,” because many demons were entered into him. ³¹ And they were begging Him not to command them to depart into the abyss. ³² And there was a herd of many pigs feeding there in the mountain, and they begged Him that He would allow them to enter into them; and He allowed them. ³³ And the demons having gone out from the man, entered into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake, and was drowned. ³⁴ And those feeding them, having seen that having taken place, fled and reported it to the city and to the country. ³⁵ And they went out to see that having taken place, and they came to Jesus and found the man from whom the demons had gone out sitting, clothed, and being of sound mind, at the feet of Jesus. And they were afraid. ³⁶ And those having seen it related to them how the one having been possessed by demons was healed. ³⁷ And all the multitude of the surrounding region of the Gerasenes asked Him to depart from them, because they were seized with great fear. And He, having entered into the boat, turned back. ³⁸ But the man from whom the demons had gone was begging Him to be taken with Him. But He sent him away saying, ³⁹ “Return to your house, and relate all that God has done for you.” And he departed, proclaiming through the whole city all that Jesus had done for him.

²³ And immediately there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,

²⁶ And having thrown him into convulsions, and having cried in a loud voice, the unclean spirit came forth out of him.

³⁰ For they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit.”

¹ And again He began to teach beside the sea. And a great crowd was gathered together to Him, so that He, having entered into a boat, sat in the sea, and all the crowd was on the land, close to the sea.

⁸ For He was saying to him, “You come forth out of the man, unclean spirit!”

²⁵ But immediately, having heard about Him, a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit, having come, fell at His feet.

²⁷ And He having gone forth upon the land, a certain man out of the city met Him, having demons, and a long time he was not wearing clothing and did not abide in a house, but in the tombs.

⁴² And while he was coming near, the demon threw him down, and threw him into convulsions. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit and healed the boy, and gave him back to his father.

¹⁸ and whenever it seizes him, it throws him down; and he foams and gnashes his teeth, and is withering away. And I spoke to Your disciples, that they might cast it out, and they had no power.” ¹⁹ And answering him He says, “O unbelieving generation! Until when will I be with you? Until when will I bear with you? Bring him to Me.” ²⁰ And they brought him to Him. And having seen Him, the spirit immediately threw him into convulsions, and having fallen upon the ground, he began rolling around, foaming. ²¹ And He asked his father, “How long a time is it that this has been with him?” And he said, “From childhood. ²² And often it casts him both into fire and into waters, that it might destroy him. But if You are able to do anything, having compassion on us, help us.”

²⁹ For He was commanding the unclean spirit to come out from the man. For it had seized him many times, and he was bound, being kept with chains and shackles. And breaking the chains, he was driven by the demon into the deserts.

⁷ For every species both of beasts and of birds, both of creeping things and things of the sea, is subdued and has been subdued by the human race, ⁸ but no one of men is able to subdue the tongue; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

⁴⁴ You are of your father the devil, and you desire to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he might speak falsehood, he speaks from the own; for he is a liar, and the father of it.

⁴¹ And demons also were going out from many, crying out and saying, “You are the Son of God.” And rebuking them, He did not allow them to speak, because they knew Him to be the Christ.

¹⁷ Having followed Paul and us, she was crying out, saying, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to you the way of salvation.”

¹⁹ You believe that God is one. You are doing well! Even the demons believe that, and shudder!

³ And the one tempting, having come to Him, said “If You are Son of God, speak, that these stones may become loaves of bread.”

²⁹ And behold, they cried out saying, “What to us and to you Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?”

¹⁶ And Simon Peter answering said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

⁶³ But Jesus was silent. And the high priest said to Him, “I adjure you by the living God, that You tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God.”

²⁴ saying, “What to us and to You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are, the Holy One of God!”

¹¹ And the unclean spirits, whenever they beheld Him, were falling down before Him and crying out, saying, “You are the Son of God.”

⁶¹ But He was silent, and did not answer. Again the high priest was questioning Him, and says to Him, “Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?”

³² He will be great, and He will be called Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David,

³⁴ “Ha! What to us and to You, Jesus of Nazareth? Are You come to destroy us? I know who You are, the Holy One of God!”

³⁵ But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He is kind to the ungrateful and evil.

²⁸ And having seen Jesus, having cried out, he fell down before Him and said in a loud voice, “What to me and to You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore of You that You might not torment me!”

³¹ But these have been written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing, you may have life in His name.

³⁶ And as they were going along the road they came upon some water, and the eunuch says, “Behold, water! What prevents me to be baptized?”

¹³ Now some of the itinerant Jews, exorcists, also attempted to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those having evil spirits, saying, “I adjure you by Jesus, whom Paul proclaims.”

²⁰ And in a short time the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

¹⁴ Therefore, since the children have partaken of blood and of flesh, He also likewise took part in the same things, so that through His death He might destroy the one holding the power of death, that is, the devil,

¹ For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, having met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and having blessed him,

⁴ For if God did not spare the angels having sinned, but having cast them down to Tartarus, in chains of gloomy darkness, delivered them, being kept for judgment;

⁸ The one practicing sin is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. For this reason the Son of God was revealed, so that He might destroy the works of the devil.

⁶ And the angels not having kept their own domain, but having abandoned the own dwelling, He keeps in eternal chains under darkness, unto the judgment of the great day;

¹² Because of this, rejoice O heavens, and those dwelling in them! Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great fury, knowing that he has a short time.”

¹ And I saw an angel descending out of heaven, holding in his hand the key of the Abyss, and a great chain. ² And he seized the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. ³ And he cast him into the Abyss, and shut and sealed it over him, so that he should not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed. After these things it is necessary for him to be released for a little time.

²⁵ And Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent, and come forth out of him!”

²⁵ And Jesus, having seen that a crowd was running together, rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him, and you may enter into him no more.” ²⁶ And it came out, having cried out and having thrown him into many convulsions; and he became as if dead, in order for many to say that he was dead.

¹⁸ And she continued this for many days. And Paul having been distressed and having turned, said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out from her.” And it came out that hour.

⁴⁵ Then it goes and takes with itself seven other spirits more evil than itself; and having entered in, they dwell there, and the last of that the man becomes worse than the first. So also will it be unto this evil generation.”

⁵³ Or do you think that I am not able to call upon My Father, and He will furnish to Me presently more than twelve legions of angels?

¹⁵ And they come to Jesus and see the man possessed by demons sitting, clothed and sound minded—the one having had the legion—and they were afraid.

³⁰ And Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” And he said, “Legion,” because many demons were entered into him.

²¹ When the strong man being armed might guard his house, his possessions are in peace. ²² But when one stronger than he, having come upon him, shall overcome him, he takes away his complete armor in which he had trusted, and he divides his plunder. ²³ The one not being with Me is against Me; and the one not gathering with Me scatters. ²⁴ When the unclean spirit is gone out from the man, it passes through waterless places, seeking rest and not finding any. Then it says, ‘I will return to my house, from where I came out.’ ²⁵ And having come, it finds it swept and put in order. ²⁶ Then it goes and takes seven other spirits more evil than itself, and having entered, they dwell there; and the last of that man becomes worse than the first.”

²² And the scribes, those having come down from Jerusalem, were saying, “He has Beelzebul,” and “By the prince of the demons He casts out the demons.”

¹³ And He allowed them. And the unclean spirits having gone out, entered into the pigs, and the herd—about two thousand—rushed down the steep bank into the sea, and they were drowned in the sea.

³⁰ Now there was far off from them a herd of many pigs feeding.

³² And there was a herd of many pigs feeding there in the mountain, and they begged Him that He would allow them to enter into them; and He allowed them.

³¹ Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have all of you to sift like wheat. ³² But I begged for you, that your faith may not fail. And you, when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”

¹¹ so that we should not be outwitted by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his schemes.

⁸ Be sober-minded; watch. Your adversary the devil prowls about as a roaring lion seeking whom to devour,

³² And He said to them, “Go!” And having gone out, they went away into the pigs, and behold, all the herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea and perished in the waters.

²² who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, angels and authorities and powers having been subjected to Him.

¹¹ They have a king over them, the angel of the abyss. His name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in the Greek, he has the name Apollyon.

⁵ And a mouth was given to it, speaking great things and blasphemy, and it was given authority to act forty and two months. ⁶ And it opened its mouth unto blasphemies against God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, those dwelling in heaven. ⁷ And there was given to it to make war with the saints, and to overcome them. And authority was given to it over every tribe and people and tongue and nation.

⁷ And when the thousand years shall have been completed, Satan will be released out of his prison,

³³ And those feeding them fled, and having gone away into the city, they related everything, including the matter of those being possessed by demons. ³⁴ And those feeding them, having seen that having taken place, fled and reported it to the city and to the country.

²⁴ And the news of Him went out into all Syria. And they brought to Him all the sick having various diseases and oppressing pains, and being possessed by demons, and having seizures, and paralytics—and He healed them.

³³ And the demon having been cast out, the mute man spoke. And the crowds marveled, saying, “Never thus was it seen in Israel.”

²⁹ Or how is anyone able to enter into the house of the strong man, and to plunder his goods, unless first he binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.

⁴ because he often had been bound with shackles and chains, and the chains had been torn in two by him, and the shackles had been shattered, and no one was able to subdue him.

¹³ who has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of His beloved Son,

⁷ For God has not given us a spirit of cowardice, but of power, and of love, and of self-control.

³⁴ And behold, all the city went out to meet Jesus. And having seen Him, they begged Him that He would depart from their region.

⁷ And having cried in a loud voice, he said, “What to me and to You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I adjure You by God, do not torment me.” ⁸ And having seen, Simon Peter fell at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, Lord. For I am a sinful man.”

³⁷ And all the multitude of the surrounding region of the Gerasenes asked Him to depart from them, because they were seized with great fear. And He, having entered into the boat, turned back.

³⁹ And having come, they appealed to them, and having brought them out, they were asking them to go out of the city.

¹⁷ And they began to implore Him to depart from their region.

¹⁵ And one of them, having seen that he was healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice, ¹⁶ and he fell on his face at His feet, giving thanks to Him. And he was a Samaritan. ¹⁷ And Jesus, having answered, said, “Were not the ten cleansed? But where are the nine?

⁴² And he was saying, “Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom!” ⁴³ And He said to him, “Truly I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

²³ But I am pressed between the two, having the desire to depart and to be with Christ, indeed very much better, ²⁴ but to remain in the flesh is more necessary for your sake.

²⁹ “Come, see a man who told me all things I ever did. Can it be that this is the Christ?”

¹ “Men, brothers, and fathers, hear now my defense to you.” ² And having heard that he was addressing them in the Hebrew language, they became even more quiet. And he says, ³ “I am a Jew, a man born in Tarsus of Cilicia and brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, having been instructed according to the exactness of the Law of our Fathers, being a zealous one of God, even as you all are this day, ⁴ who persecuted this Way as far as death, binding and betraying to prisons both men and women, ⁵ as also the high priest and the whole elderhood bears witness to me, from whom also having received letters to the brothers, I was on my way to Damascus to bring also those being there, bound to Jerusalem, in order that they might be punished. ⁶ But it happened to me, journeying and drawing near to Damascus about noon, that suddenly a great light out of heaven shone around me, ⁷ and I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me?’ ⁸ And I answered, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And He said to me, ‘I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting.’ ⁹ And those being with me indeed beheld the light, but they did not hear the voice of the One speaking to me. ¹⁰ Then I said, ‘What shall I do, Lord?’ And the Lord said to me, ‘Having risen up, go to Damascus, and there it will be told you concerning all things that it has been appointed you to do.’ ¹¹ And while I could not see from the brightness of that light, I came to Damascus, being led by the hand by those being with me. ¹² And a certain Ananias, a devout man according to the Law, borne witness to by all the Jews dwelling there, ¹³ having come to me and having stood by me, said to me, ‘Brother Saul, receive your sight.’ And the same hour I looked up at him. ¹⁴ Then he said, ‘The God of our fathers has appointed you to know His will, and to see the Righteous One, and to hear the voice out of His mouth. ¹⁵ For you will be a witness for Him to all men of what you have seen and heard. ¹⁶ And now why do you delay? Having arisen, be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on His name.’ ¹⁷ And it happened to me, having returned to Jerusalem and of my praying in the temple, I fell into a trance ¹⁸ and saw Him saying to me, ‘Make haste and go away with speed out of Jerusalem, because they will not receive your testimony about Me.’ ¹⁹ And I said, ‘Lord, they themselves know that in each of those synagogues I was imprisoning and beating those believing on You. ²⁰ And when the blood of Your witness of Stephen was poured out, I myself also was standing by and consenting and watching over the garments of those killing him.’ ²¹ And He said to me, ‘Go, for I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’”

⁴ Then indeed all the Jews know my manner of life which is from youth, having been from its beginning among my own nation and in Jerusalem, ⁵ knowing me from the first, if they would be willing to testify, that according to the strictest sect of our religion I lived as a Pharisee. ⁶ And now I stand being judged for the hope of the promise having been made by God to our fathers, ⁷ to which our twelve tribes hope to attain, serving in earnestness night and day, the hope concerning which I am accused by the Jews, O king. ⁸ Why is it judged incredible by you if God raises the dead? ⁹ Therefore I indeed in myself thought I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth, ¹⁰ which also I did in Jerusalem. And I also locked up many of the saints in prisons, having received the authority from the chief priests; and they being put to death, I cast against them a vote. ¹¹ And in all the synagogues, punishing them often, I was compelling them to blaspheme. And being exceedingly furious against them, I kept persecuting them even as far as to foreign cities, ¹² during which, journeying to Damascus with the authority and commission of the chief priests, ¹³ at midday on the road, O king, I saw, a light from heaven above, the brightness of the sun, having shone around me and those journeying with me. ¹⁴ And of all of us having fallen down to the ground, I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ ¹⁵ Then I said, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And the Lord said, ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. ¹⁶ But rise up and stand on your feet. For I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you a servant and a witness both of that which you have seen of Me, and of the things in which I will appear to you, ¹⁷ delivering you out from the people and from the Gentiles to whom I am sending you, ¹⁸ to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those having been sanctified by faith in Me.’ ¹⁹ So then, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, ²⁰ but both first to those in Damascus and Jerusalem, and all the region of Judea, and to the Gentiles, I kept declaring to repent and to turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance. ²¹ On account of these things the Jews, having seized me being in the temple, were attempting to kill me. ²² Therefore having obtained help from God unto this day, I have stood bearing witness both to small and to great, saying nothing other than what both the prophets and Moses said was about to happen: ²³ that Christ would suffer. As first through resurrection from the dead, He is about to preach light both to our people and to the Gentiles.” ²⁴ Now of him saying these things in his defense, Festus said in a loud voice, “You are insane, Paul! The great learning turns you to insanity!” ²⁵ But Paul says, “I am not insane, most excellent Festus, but I speak words of truth and sobriety. ²⁶ For the king understands concerning these things, to whom also I speak using boldness. For I am persuaded none of these things are hidden from him, for none of these things is done in a corner. ²⁷ Do you believe the prophets, King Agrippa? I know that you believe.” ²⁸ Then Agrippa said to Paul, “Within so little time do you persuade me to become a Christian?” ²⁹ Then Paul said, “I would wish anyhow to God, both in a little and in much, not only you but also all those hearing me this day to become such as I also am, except these chains.”

²⁵ And there followed Him great crowds from Galilee, and the Decapolis, and Jerusalem, and Judea, and beyond the Jordan.

³¹ And again having departed from the region of Tyre, He came through Sidon, to the Sea of Galilee, through the midst of the region of the Decapolis.

¹ And having entered into a boat, He passed over and came to the own city.

⁴⁰ And when Jesus returned, the crowd received Him, for they were all looking for Him.

¹¹ And having come into the house, they found the Child with His mother Mary, and having fallen down, they worshiped Him. And having opened their treasures, they offered to Him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh.

¹⁸ Of Him speaking these things to them, behold, a certain ruler having come, was kneeling down to Him, saying, “My daughter presently has died; but having come, lay Your hand upon her, and she will live.” ¹⁹ And having arisen, Jesus followed him, also His disciples. ²⁰ And behold a woman having had a flux of blood twelve years, having come up behind Him, touched the fringe of His garment. ²¹ For she was saying within herself, “If only I shall touch His garment, I will be healed.” ²² And Jesus, having turned and having seen her said, “Take courage, daughter. Your faith has cured you.” And the woman was cured from that very hour. ²³ And Jesus having come into the ruler’s house and having seen the flute players and the crowd making a commotion, ²⁴ He says, “Go away, for the girl is not dead, but sleeps.” And they began to laugh at Him. ²⁵ And when the crowd had been put outside, having entered, He took hold of her hand, and the girl arose. ²⁶ And this report went out into all that land.

³³ And the woman, having been frightened and trembling, knowing what had been done to her, came and fell down before Him, and told Him the whole truth.

³⁵ While yet He is speaking, they come from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying, “Your daughter is dead; why do you trouble the Teacher still?” ³⁶ But Jesus, having heard the word spoken, says to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not fear; only believe.”

³⁸ And they come to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and He beholds a commotion, and much weeping and wailing.

⁴¹ And behold, a man whose name was Jairus came, and he was a ruler of the synagogue, and having fallen at the feet of Jesus, he began begging Him to come to his house, ⁴² because he had an only daughter, about twelve years old, and she was dying. And as He went, the crowds were pressing around Him. ⁴³ And a woman being with a flux of blood for twelve years, who, having spent all her living on physicians, was not able to be healed by anyone. ⁴⁴ Having come behind Him, she touched the fringe of His cloak, and immediately her flux of blood stopped. ⁴⁵ And Jesus said, “Who is the one having touched Me?” But all were denying it. Peter said, “Master, the people surround You and press in.” ⁴⁶ But Jesus said, “Someone touched Me, for I know power has gone out from Me.” ⁴⁷ And the woman, having seen that she was not hidden, came trembling, and having fallen down before Him before all the people, she declared for what cause she touched Him, and how she was healed immediately. ⁴⁸ And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you; go in peace.” ⁴⁹ Of Him still speaking, one comes from the synagogue ruler, saying, “Your daughter has died; trouble the Teacher no longer.” ⁵⁰ But Jesus having heard, answered him, “Fear not; only believe, and she will be saved.” ⁵¹ And having entered into the house, He did not allow anyone to go in with Him, except Peter and John and James and the father and the mother of the child. ⁵² And all were weeping and mourning for her. But He said, “Do not weep; for she is not dead, but sleeps.” ⁵³ And they were laughing at Him, knowing that she was dead. ⁵⁴ And He having taken hold her of hand, called out, saying, “Child, arise!” ⁵⁵ And her spirit returned, and she arose immediately; and He directed to be given to her to eat. ⁵⁶ And her parents were amazed; and He instructed them to tell no one what had happened.

¹⁴ And answering, the ruler of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, was saying to the crowd, “There are six days in which it behooves one to work. Therefore coming, be healed in these, and not on the day of the Sabbath.”

²⁵ And as Peter was entering, Cornelius, having met him, having fallen at the feet, worshiped him. ²⁶ But Peter lifted him up, saying, “Rise up, I myself am also a man.”

¹⁵ And after the reading of the Law and of the Prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying, “Men, brothers, if there is any word of exhortation among you toward the people, speak.”

⁸ And Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord, with his all household. And many of the Corinthians hearing believed and were baptized.

¹⁷ Then all of them, having seized Sosthenes the ruler of the synagogue, began to beat him before the judgment seat. And it mattered nothing to Gallio about these things.

⁸ And I, John, am the one hearing and seeing these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel showing these things me.

³ And having stretched out the hand, He touched him saying, “I am willing; be you cleansed!” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

⁵ And He was not able to do any work of power there, except having laid the hands on a few sick, He healed them. ⁶ And He was amazed because of their unbelief. And He was going around the villages, teaching.

¹³ And they were casting out many demons, and were anointing many sick with oil, and healing them.

²⁵ But immediately, having heard about Him, a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit, having come, fell at His feet. ²⁶ Now the woman was Gentile, Syrophoenician by race, and kept asking Him that He should cast forth the demon out of her daughter. ²⁷ And He was saying to her, “Permit the children to be satisfied first; for it is not good to take the children’s bread and to cast it to the dogs.”

³² And they bring to Him a man who was deaf and who spoke with difficulty, and they implore Him that He might lay the hand on him.

²³ And having taken hold of the hand of the blind man, He led him forth out of the village, and having spit upon his eyes, having laid the hands upon him, He was asking him if you see anything.

¹⁸ and with their hands they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it shall never hurt them; they will lay hands upon the sick, and they will be well.”

³⁸ And having risen up out of the synagogue, He entered into the house of Simon. And Simon’s mother-in-law was oppressed with a great fever, and they appealed to Him for her.

⁴⁰ And at the setting of the sun, all, as many as had any ailing with various diseases, brought them to Him, and having laid the hands on each one of them, He would heal them.

² And a certain servant of a centurion, who was valued highly to him, being sick, was about to die. ³ And having heard about Jesus, he sent elders of the Jews to Him, begging Him that having come, He might save his servant.

¹² And as He drew near to the gate of the town, also behold, one having died was being carried out, the only begotten son of his mother; and she was a widow. And a considerable crowd of the town was with her.

¹³ And He laid the hands upon her, and immediately she was made straight and began to glorify God.

⁴⁶ Therefore He came again to Cana of Galilee, where He had made the water wine. And there was in Capernaum a certain royal official whose son was sick. ⁴⁷ Having heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and was asking that He would come down and heal his son; for he was about to die.

³ Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, “Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.”

⁶ whom they set before the apostles. And having prayed, they laid the hands on them.

¹⁷ And Ananias went away and entered into the house; and having laid the hands upon him, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, the One having appeared to you on the road by which you were coming, has sent me that you may see again and be filled of the Holy Spirit.”

⁸ And it came to pass, the father of Publius was lying, oppressed with fevers and dysentery, toward whom Paul, having entered and having prayed, having laid the hands on him, healed him.

¹⁴ Is anyone among you sick? Let him call near the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, having anointed him with oil in the name of the Lord. ¹⁵ And the prayer of faith will save the one ailing, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he might be one having committed sins, it will be forgiven him.

⁹ And He spoke to His disciples, that a boat might wait upon Him, on account of the crowd, that they might not press upon Him. ¹⁰ For He healed many, so as for as many as had diseases to press upon Him, that they might touch Him.

²⁰ And He comes to a house, and a crowd comes together again, so that not even are they able to eat bread.

³¹ And His disciples were saying to Him, “You see the crowd pressing in on You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’”

⁶ And Jesus was going with them. And already, He being not far distant from the house, the centurion sent friends, saying to Him, “Lord, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy that You should come under my roof.

⁴² because he had an only daughter, about twelve years old, and she was dying. And as He went, the crowds were pressing around Him.

⁴⁵ And Jesus said, “Who is the one having touched Me?” But all were denying it. Peter said, “Master, the people surround You and press in.”

¹ In these times, the myriads of the crowd having been gathered together so as to trample upon one another, He began to say to His disciples first, “Take heed to yourselves of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

³ And he was seeking to see Jesus, who He is. And he was not able because of the crowd, for he was small in stature.

³⁸ Jesus from Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all those being oppressed by the devil, because God was with Him.

¹¹ And behold, a woman having a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and she was bent over and not able to lift herself up to the full.

⁵ And a certain man was there, himself being thirty and eight years in infirmity. ⁶ Jesus, having seen him lying and having known that he has been a long time already, says to him, “Do you desire to become well?”

²² For the man on whom this sign of healing had taken place was more than forty years old.

³³ And he found there a certain man named Aeneas, who was paralyzed, lying on a bed for eight years. ³⁴ And Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you; rise up and make the bed for yourself.” And immediately he rose up.

³⁶ and were begging Him that only they might touch the fringe of His garment, and as many as touched were cured.

⁵⁶ And wherever He entered into villages or into cities or into fields, they were laying the ailing in the marketplaces and were begging Him that only they might touch the fringe of His clothing; and as many as touched Him were being healed.

¹⁵ so as even to bring out the sick into the streets, and to put them on cots and mats, that of Peter coming, at least the shadow might envelop some of them.

¹² so that even handkerchiefs or aprons from his skin were brought to the ailing, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits left.

¹⁰ For He healed many, so as for as many as had diseases to press upon Him, that they might touch Him.

³⁴ And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you; go in peace and be sound from your affliction.”

²¹ At that very hour, He healed many of diseases and afflictions and evil spirits, and He granted many blind to see.

¹⁷ And it came to pass on one of the days that He was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law were there sitting by, who were come out of every village of Galilee, and of Judea, and of Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was there for Him to heal.

¹⁹ And the whole multitude were seeking to touch Him, because power was going out from Him and healing all.

⁴⁶ But Jesus said, “Someone touched Me, for I know power has gone out from Me.”

⁹ But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of the One having called you out of darkness into His marvelous light,

¹² And the day began to decline, and the Twelve having come, said to Him, “Dismiss the crowd, that having gone into the surrounding villages and countryside, they might lodge and might find provisions; for we are in a desolate place here.”

⁴¹ And they feared with great fear and were saying to each other, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?”

¹² And having seen him, Zechariah was troubled, and fear fell upon him.

²⁹ And she was troubled at the statement and was pondering what kind this salutation might be.

⁴⁷ And the woman, having seen that she was not hidden, came trembling, and having fallen down before Him before all the people, she declared for what cause she touched Him, and how she was healed immediately.

² And behold, they were bringing to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. And Jesus, having seen their faith, said to the paralytic, “Take courage, son; your sins have been forgiven.”

²² And Jesus, having turned and having seen her said, “Take courage, daughter. Your faith has cured you.” And the woman was cured from that very hour.

²⁹ And immediately her flow of blood was dried up, and she knew in the body that she was healed from the affliction.

⁵² And Jesus said to him, “Go, your faith has healed you.” And immediately he received sight and began following Him on the way.

⁵⁰ And He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

⁴⁸ And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you; go in peace.”

¹⁹ And He said to him, “Having risen up go forth; your faith has cured you!”

⁴² And Jesus said to him, “Receive sight! Your faith has healed you.”

⁹ This man heard Paul speaking, who having looked intently at him and having seen that he has faith to be healed,

¹⁸ And He said, “Go into the city unto a certain man and tell him the Teacher says, ‘My time is near; I will keep the Passover with you with My disciples.’”

²² And one of the synagogue rulers comes, named Jairus, and having seen Him, falls at His feet,

¹⁷ And going forth on His journey, one having run up and having knelt down to Him, was asking Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I might inherit eternal life?”

⁶ And Jesus was going with them. And already, He being not far distant from the house, the centurion sent friends, saying to Him, “Lord, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. ⁷ Therefore neither did I count myself worthy to come to You; but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.

⁴⁹ Of Him still speaking, one comes from the synagogue ruler, saying, “Your daughter has died; trouble the Teacher no longer.”

²⁵ Truly, truly, I say to you that an hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those having heard will live.

²¹ Then Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.

²⁵ Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; the one believing in Me, even if he should die, he will live.

²⁸ And having said these things she went away and called her sister Mary secretly, having said, “The Teacher is come, and He calls you.”

³² Therefore Mary, when she came to where Jesus was, having seen Him, fell at His feet, saying to Him, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.”

³⁹ Jesus says, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of the one having died, says to Him, “Lord, he stinks already, for it is four days.”

²⁸ And having come into the house, the blind men came to Him, and Jesus says to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They say to him, “Yes, Lord.” ²⁹ Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith be it to you.”

²⁰ And He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly I say to you, if you have faith as of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. And nothing will be impossible for you.”

²³ And Jesus said to him, “If You are able? All things are possible to the one believing.”

⁵⁰ But Jesus having heard, answered him, “Fear not; only believe, and she will be saved.”

⁴⁸ Therefore Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will never believe.” ⁴⁹ The royal official says to Him, “Sir, come down before my child dies.” ⁵⁰ Jesus says to him, “Go, your son lives.” The man believed the word that Jesus said to him, and he went on his way.

⁴⁰ Jesus says to her, “Did I not say to you that if you should believe, you will see the glory of God?”

¹⁸ who against hope, in hope believed, for him to become the father of many nations, according to that having been spoken, “So shall your offspring be.” ¹⁹ And not having become weak in the faith, he considered his body already having become dead, being about a hundred years old, and the lifelessness of Sarah’s womb. ²⁰ Yet he did not waver through unbelief at the promise of God, but was strengthened in faith, having given glory to God, ²¹ and having been fully assured that what He had promised, He is also able to do. ²² Therefore also “it was credited to him unto righteousness.” ²³ Now it was not written on account of him alone that “it was credited to him,” ²⁴ but also on account of us, to whom it is about to be credited, to those believing on the One having raised Jesus our Lord out from the dead,

² And after six days, Jesus takes with Him Peter and James and John, and brings them up into a high mountain by themselves alone. And He was transfigured before them,

³³ And He takes Peter and James and John with Him; and He began to be greatly awe-struck and deeply distressed.

⁵¹ And having entered into the house, He did not allow anyone to go in with Him, except Peter and John and James and the father and the mother of the child.

⁴⁰ And Peter having put all outside and having bowed the knees, prayed. And having turned to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise!” And she opened her eyes, and having seen Peter, she sat up.

¹ This third time I am coming to you. “In the mouth of two or three witnesses every matter will be established.”

²³ And Jesus having come into the ruler’s house and having seen the flute players and the crowd making a commotion, ²⁴ He says, “Go away, for the girl is not dead, but sleeps.” And they began to laugh at Him.

¹⁷ saying: ‘We piped for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge and you did not wail.’

⁵² And all were weeping and mourning for her. But He said, “Do not weep; for she is not dead, but sleeps.” ⁵³ And they were laughing at Him, knowing that she was dead.

³⁹ And Peter having risen up, went with them, who having arrived, brought him into the upper room. And all the widows stood by him, weeping and showing the tunics and garments that Dorcas had made, being with them.

¹¹ He said these things, and after this He says to them, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I go that I may awaken him.” ¹² Therefore His disciples said, “Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will get well.” ¹³ Now Jesus had spoken of his death, but they thought that He speaks of the rest of sleep.

¹⁰ But Paul having descended, fell upon him, and having embraced him, he said, “Do not be alarmed, for his life is in him!”

³⁰ Because of this, many are weak and sick among you, and many are fallen asleep.

¹³ But we do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those having fallen asleep, so that you should not be grieved, just as also the rest, those having no hope. ¹⁴ For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with Him those having fallen asleep.

¹⁰ the One having died for us, so that whether we might watch or we might sleep, we may live together with Him.

⁶ Do not give that which is holy to the dogs, nor cast your pearls before the pigs, lest they shall trample upon them with their feet, and having turned, tear you to pieces.

²⁴ He says, “Go away, for the girl is not dead, but sleeps.” And they began to laugh at Him. ²⁵ And when the crowd had been put outside, having entered, He took hold of her hand, and the girl arose.

⁵³ And they were laughing at Him, knowing that she was dead. ⁵⁴ And He having taken hold her of hand, called out, saying, “Child, arise!”

¹⁴ Now the Pharisees, being lovers of money, were listening to all these things, and they were ridiculing Him.

³² Now having heard of a resurrection of the dead, some indeed began to mock him, but some said, “We will hear you concerning this again also.”

³¹ And having come to her, He raised her up, having taken hold of the hand. And the fever left her, and she began to minister to them.

⁴¹ And having been moved with compassion, having stretched out His hand, He touched him and says to him, “I am willing, be cleansed.”

¹⁴ And having come up, He touched the bier; and those bearing it stopped. And He said, “Young man, I say to you, Arise!” ¹⁵ And the dead man sat up and began to speak, and He gave him to his mother.

⁵⁴ And He having taken hold her of hand, called out, saying, “Child, arise!” ⁵⁵ And her spirit returned, and she arose immediately; and He directed to be given to her to eat.

²⁸ Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming in which all those in the tombs will hear His voice, ²⁹ and will come forth—those having done good to the resurrection of life, and those having done evil to the resurrection of judgment.

⁴³ And having said these things, He cried out in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!” ⁴⁴ The one having been dead came forth, the feet and hands being bound with linen strips, and his face bound about with a soudarion. Jesus says to them, “Unbind him and allow him to go.”

⁴⁰ And Peter having put all outside and having bowed the knees, prayed. And having turned to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise!” And she opened her eyes, and having seen Peter, she sat up. ⁴¹ And having given her his hand, he raised her up. And having called the saints and the widows, he presented her living.

¹⁷ as it has been written: “I have made you a father of many nations.”—before God whom he believed, the One giving life to the dead and calling into being the things not even existing,

²¹ who will transform our body of humiliation, conformed to the body of His glory, according to the working enabling Him even to subdue all things to Himself.

²⁷ And all were astonished, so as to question among themselves, saying, “What is this new teaching? With authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him!”

⁵¹ And He went up to them into the boat, and the wind ceased. And exceedingly in abundance they were amazed in themselves,

³⁷ And they were astonished above measure, saying, “He has done all things well. He makes both the deaf to hear and the mute to speak.”

¹⁰ and they recognized him, that he was the one sitting for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple. And they were filled with wonder and amazement at that having happened to him. ¹¹ Now as he is clinging to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch called Solomon’s, greatly amazed. ¹² But having seen it, Peter answered to the people: “Men of Israel, why do you wonder at this? Or why do you look intently on us as if by our own power or godliness we have made him to walk? ¹³ The God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified His servant Jesus, whom indeed you betrayed and disowned in the presence of Pilate, that one having adjudged to release Him.

⁴ And Jesus says to him, “See that you tell no one. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.”

³⁰ And their eyes were opened. And Jesus strictly instructed them, saying, “See that no one knows!”

¹⁶ and He warned them that they should not make Him known— ¹⁷ so that it might be fulfilled that having been spoken by the prophet Isaiah, saying: ¹⁸ “Behold My servant, whom I have chosen, My beloved, in whom My soul has found delight. I will put My Spirit upon Him, and He will proclaim justice to the Gentiles.

⁹ And as they were descending from the mountain, Jesus instructed them, saying, “Tell to no one the vision, until the Son of Man is risen out from the dead.”

⁴³ And having sternly warned him, He sent him away immediately.

¹² And He would rebuke them much, so that they should not make Him known.

³⁶ And He instructed them that they should tell no one. But as much as He kept instructing them, they were proclaiming it more abundantly.

¹⁴ And He ordered him to tell no one: “But having gone, show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing, as Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.”

⁵⁶ And her parents were amazed; and He instructed them to tell no one what had happened.

³⁰ And it came to pass in His reclining with them, having taken the bread, He blessed it; and having broken it, He began giving it to them.

⁴² And they gave to Him part of a broiled fish. ⁴³ And having taken it, He ate it before them.

⁴¹ I do not take glory from men,

⁴¹ not to all the people, but to the witnesses having been chosen beforehand by God, to us who did eat with and drink with Him after His rising out from the dead.
