⁹ But whenever you hear of wars and insurrections, do not be terrified; for these things must happen first, but the end will not come immediately."

¹ A Psalm of David, before he was anointed. The Lord is my light and my Savior; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defender of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? ² When evildoers drew near against me to eat up my flesh, my persecutors and my enemies, they fainted and fell. ³ Though an army should set itself in array against me, my heart shall not be afraid; Though war should rise up against me, in this am I confident.

¹ For the end, for the sons of Korah; A Psalm concerning secret things. God is our refuge and strength, a help in the afflictions that have come heavily upon us. ² Therefore will we not fear when the earth is troubled, and the mountains are removed into the depths of the seas.

⁷ He shall not be afraid of any evil report; his heart is ready to trust in the Lord.

²⁵ And you shall not be afraid of alarm coming upon you, neither of approaching attacks of ungodly men. ²⁶ For the Lord shall be over all your ways, and He shall establish your foot, that you not be moved.

¹² Let them not say, It is hard, for whatsoever this people says, is hard; but do not fear their fear, neither be dismayed.

¹² I, even I, am He that comforts you; consider who you are, that you were afraid of mortal man, and of the son of man, who have withered as grass. ¹³ And you have forgotten God who made you, who made the sky and founded the earth; and you were continually afraid because of the wrath of him that afflicted you; for whereas he counseled to take you away, yet now where is the wrath of him that afflicted you?

¹⁹ I am pained in my bowels, my bowels, and the sensitive powers of my heart. My soul is in great commotion, my heart is torn. I will not be silent, for my soul has heard the sound of a trumpet, the cry of war, and of distress: it calls on destruction. ²⁰ For all the land is distressed. Suddenly my tabernacle is distressed, my curtains have been torn in two.

⁶ And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not disturbed; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. ⁷ For nation shall rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. ⁸ But all these things are the beginning of sorrows.

⁷ But whenever you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be disturbed; for these things must occur, but the end is not yet. ⁸ For nation will be raised up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and disturbances. These are the beginnings of birth pangs.

⁸ And He said: "Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am He,' and, 'The time has drawn near.' Therefore do not go after them.

¹⁸ But not a hair of your head shall by any means perish. ¹⁹ By your patient endurance you shall possess your souls.

²⁸ Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near."
