⁵ And he who [is] over the house, and he who [is] over the city, and the elders, and the supporters, send unto Jehu, saying, `Your servants we [are], and all that you say unto us we do; we do not make any one king--that which [is] good in your eyes do..

⁸ and they say unto Joshua, `Your servants we [are].' And Joshua said unto them, `Who [are] you? and whence come you?.

¹¹ `And our elders, and all the inhabitants of our land speak unto us, saying, Take in your hand provision for the way, and go to meet them, and you have said unto them, Your servants we [are], and now, make with us a covenant;"

⁴ And the king of Israel answers and said, `According to your word, my lord, O king:I [am] your, and all that I have..

³² And they gird sackcloth on their loins, and ropes [are] on their heads, and they come in unto the king of Israel, and say, `Your servant Ben-Hadad has said, Let me live, I pray you;' and he said, `Is he yet alive? he [is] my brother..

¹⁴ and Hezekiah king of Judah sends unto the king of Asshur to Lachish, saying, `I have sinned, turn back from off me; that which you put on me I bear;' and the king of Asshur lays on Hezekiah king of Judah three hundred talents of silver, and thirty talents of gold,

⁷ And served him have all the nations, and his son, and his son's son, till the coming in of the time of his land, also it; and done service for him have many nations and great kings." ⁸ And it has come to pass, the nation and the kingdom that do not serve him--Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon--and that which puts not its neck into the yoke of the king of Babylon, with sword, and with famine, and with pestilence, I lay a charge on that nation--an affirmation of Yahweh--till I consume them by his hand."

¹⁷ You do not hearken unto them, serve the king of Babylon, and live. Why is this city a waste?

²⁶ If anyone should be serving Me, let him be following Me, and where I am, there My servant also shall be. And if anyone should be serving Me, the Father shall be honoring him."
