²³ And saying is Joseph to all the Egyptians, "Behold! Buy do I you today, with your ground, for Pharaoh. Lo! for you there is seed, and sow shall you the ground.

²⁷ And the seven emaciated and evil young cows coming up after them, seven years are they. And the seven empty spikes, blasted by the burning east wind, are coming to be seven years of famine.

⁶ For this two years the famine is within the land, and there are still five years in which there is no plowing or harvesting.

¹ {A Davidic Psalm{ Happy is he who is acting intelligently toward the poor and needy; In a day of peril, Yahweh shall provide his escape."

³⁶ And He shall cause the famished to dwell there; They shall establish a city of dwelling. ³⁷ They shall sow fields and plant vineyards, And they shall get a fruitful yield."

⁵ It is good when a man is gracious and obliging; He shall sustain his affairs with right judgment.

²⁶ The populace shall revile him who withholds cereal grain, Yet blessing is on the head of him who retails."

¹¹ He who serves his ground shall be satisfied with bread, Yet he who pursues empty dreams lacks heart wisdom."

²³ The tillage of the destitute may yield much food, Yet it is swept up when there is no judgment."

⁶ Sow your seed in the morning, and do not let your hand rest at evening, For you have no knowledge wherein this may succeed, whether this or that, Or whether both of them are alike good."

²⁴ The entire day will the plowman plow? To sow, will he open and harrow his ground? ²⁵ Should he not equalize its surface, and scatter sesame, and cumin be sprinkling, and place the chief crop of wheat and barley, with millet and spelt at its boundary?

¹⁰ For, as descending is the downpour and the snow from the heavens, yet there it is not returning, but rather soaks the earth, and causes it to bear and to sprout, and gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater,

⁴⁵ Who, consequently, is the faithful and prudent slave whom the lord places over his household to give them nourishment in season?

¹⁰ Now may He Who is supplying seed to the sower, and bread for food, be furnishing and multiplying your seed and be making the product of your righteousness grow,
