¹ Woe to shepherds destroying, And scattering the flock of My pasture, An affirmation of Yahweh." ² Therefore, thus said Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, Against the shepherds who feed My people, You have scattered My flock, and drive them away, And have not inspected them, Lo, I am charging on you the evil of your doings, An affirmation of Yahweh." ³ And I do gather the remnant of My flock Out of all the lands whither I drove them, And have brought them back unto their fold, And they have been fruitful, and multiplied." ⁴ And I have raised for them shepherds, And they have fed them, And they fear no more, nor are affrighted, Nor are they lacking--an affirmation of Yahweh." ⁵ Lo, days are coming--an affirmation of Yahweh, And I have raised to David a righteous shoot, And a king has reigned and acted wisely, And done judgment and righteousness in the earth." ⁶ In his days is Judah saved, and Israel dwells confidently, And this his name that Yahweh proclaims him, `Our Righteousness.'" <sup>7</sup> Therefore, lo, days are coming, An affirmation of Yahweh, And they do not say any more, Yahweh lives who brought up The sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt, <sup>8</sup> But--Yahweh lives, who brought up, And who brought in, the seed of the house of Israel, From the land of the north, And from all the lands whither I drove them, And they have dwelt on their own ground!" <sup>9</sup> In reference to the prophets:Broken has been my heart in my midst, Fluttered have all my bones, I have been as a man--a drunkard, And as a man--wine has passed over him, Because of Yahweh, and of His holy words." <sup>10</sup> For of adulterers has the land been full, For because of these has the land mourned, Dried up has been the pleasant places of the wilderness, And their course is evil, and their might--not right." <sup>11</sup> For both prophet and priest have been profane, Yea, in My house I found their wickedness, An affirmation of Yahweh." <sup>12</sup> Therefore is their way to them as slippery places, Into thick darkness they are driven, And they have fallen in it, For I bring in against them evil, The year of their inspection, An affirmation of Yahweh." <sup>13</sup> And in prophets of Samaria I have seen folly, They have prophesied by Baal, And cause my people--Israel--to err." <sup>14</sup> And in prophets of Jerusalem I have seen a horrible thing, Committing adultery, and walking falsely, Yea, they strengthened the hands of evil doers, So that they have not turned back Each from his wickedness, They have been to me--all of them--as Sodom, And its inhabitants as Gomorrah." <sup>15</sup> Therefore, thus said Yahweh of Hosts, concerning the prophets:Lo, I am causing them to eat wormwood, And have caused them to drink water of gall, For, from prophets of Jerusalem Has profanity gone forth to all the land." <sup>16</sup> Thus said Yahweh of Hosts:You do not hearken unto the words Of the prophets who are prophesying to you, They are making you vain things, A vision of their own heart they speak, Not from the mouth of Yahweh." <sup>17</sup> Saying diligently to those despising The word of Yahweh:Peace is for you, And [to] every one walking in the stubbornness of his heart they have said:Evil does not come in unto you." <sup>18</sup> For who has stood in the counsel of Yahweh, And sees and hears His word? Who has regarded My word, and hearkens? <sup>19</sup> Lo, a whirlwind of Yahweh--Fury has gone out, even a piercing whirlwind, On the head of the wicked it stays." <sup>20</sup> The anger of Yahweh does not turn back Till His doing, and till His establishing, The thoughts of His heart, In the latter end of the days you attend to it With understanding." <sup>21</sup> I have not sent the prophets, and they have run, I have not spoken unto them, and they have prophesied." <sup>22</sup> But--if they stood in My counsel, Then they cause My people to hear My words, And they turn them back from their evil way, And from the evil of their doings." <sup>23</sup> A Elohim near [am] I--an affirmation of Yahweh, And not an Elohim afar off? <sup>24</sup> Is any one hidden in secret places, And I see him not? an affirmation of Yahweh, Do not I fill the heavens and the earth? An affirmation of Yahweh." <sup>25</sup> I have heard that which the prophets said, Who prophesy in My name falsehood, saying, `I have dreamed, I have dreamed.'" ²⁶ Till when is it in the heart of the prophets? The prophets of falsehood, Yea, prophets of the deceit of their heart, ²⁷ Who are devising to cause My people To forget My name by their dreams, That they recount each to his neighbor, As their fathers forgot my name for Baal." ²⁸ The prophet with whom [is] a dream, Let him recount the dream, And he with whom [is] My word, Let him truly speak My word. What--to the straw with the corn? An affirmation of Yahweh." ²⁹ Is it not thus? My word [is] as a fire, An affirmation of Yahweh. And as a hammer--it breaks in pieces a rock." ³⁰ Therefore, lo, I [am] against the prophets, An affirmation of Yahweh, Stealing My words each from his neighbor." ³¹ Lo, I [am] against the prophets, An affirmation of Yahweh, Who are making smooth their tongue, And they affirm--an affirmation." ³² Lo, I [am] against the prophets of false dreams, An affirmation of Yahweh, And they recount them, and cause my people to err, By their falsehoods, and by their instability, And I--I have not sent them, Nor have I commanded them, And they are not at all profitable to this people, An affirmation of Yahweh." ³³ And when this people, or the prophet, Or a priest, does ask you, saying, What [is] the burden of Yahweh? Then you have said unto them:You [are] the burden, and I have left you, An affirmation of Yahweh." ³⁴ And the prophet, and the priest, and the people, That said, The burden of Yahweh, I have seen after that man, and after his house." ³⁵ Thus do you say each unto his neighbor, And each unto his brother:What has Yahweh answered? And what has Yahweh spoken? ³⁶ And the burden of Yahweh you do not mention any more, For the burden to each is--His word, And you have overturned the words of the living Elohim, Yahweh of Hosts, our Elohim." ³⁷ Thus do you say unto the prophet What has Yahweh answered you? And what has Yahweh spoken? ³⁸ And if the burden of Yahweh you say, Therefore thus said Yahweh:Because of your saying this word, The burden of Yahweh, And I do send unto you, saying, You do not say, The burden of Yahweh." ³⁹ Therefore, lo, I--I have taken you utterly away, And I have sent you out, And the city that I gave to you, And to your fathers, from before My face, ⁴⁰ And I have put on you reproach eonian, And shame eonian that is not forgotten!"

⁹ All field life, arrive to devour! And all the life in the wildwood!" ¹⁰ His watchmen are blind, all of them. They do not know to call. All of them are mute curs. They can not bark. They are having nightmares while lying, loving to slumber, ¹¹ and curs strongly soulish. No satisfaction do they know. And they are evil. They do not know to understand. All of them face to their own way, each man for his own gain, for his own end." ¹² Arrive! We will take wine, and we will carouse with an intoxicant! And it comes, as this day, so the morrow, great, exceedingly exuberant!"

⁸ The priests have not said, `Where [is] Yahweh?' And those handling the law have not known Me. And the shepherds transgressed against Me, And the prophets have prophesied by Baal, And after those who profit not have gone."

²⁶ As the shame of a thief when he is found, So put to shame have been the house of Israel, They, their kings, their heads, And their priests, and their prophets,

²¹ For the shepherds have become brutish, And Yahweh they have not sought, Therefore they have not acted wisely, And all their flock is scattered."

¹⁰ Many shepherds did destroy My vineyard, They have trodden down My portion, They have made My desirable portion Become a wilderness--a desolation."

²² All your friends consume does wind, And your lovers into captivity do go, Surely then you are ashamed, And have blushed for all your wickedness."

² Therefore, thus said Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, Against the shepherds who feed My people, You have scattered My flock, and drive them away, And have not inspected them, Lo, I am charging on you the evil of your doings, An affirmation of Yahweh."

³⁴ Howl, you shepherds, and cry, And roll yourselves, you honorable of the flock, For full have been your days, For slaughtering, and [for] your scatterings, And you have fallen as a desirable vessel." ³⁵ And perished has refuge from the shepherds, And escape from the honorable of the flock." ³⁶ A voice [is] of the cry of the shepherds, And a howling of the honorable of the flock, For Yahweh is spoiling their pasture."

⁶ A perishing flock has My people been, Their shepherds have caused them to err, [To] the mountains causing them to go back, From mountain unto hill they have gone, They have forgotten their crouching-place."

³ Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Woe unto the prophets who are foolish, Who are going after their own spirit, And they have seen nothing."

²⁵ A conspiracy of its prophets [is] in its midst, as a roaring lion tearing prey; The soul they have devoured, Wealth and glory they have taken, Its widows have multiplied in its midst." ²⁶ Its priests have wronged My law, And they pollute My holy things, Between holy and common they have not made separation, And between the unclean and the clean they have not made known, And from my sabbaths they have hidden their eyes, And I am pierced in their midst." ²⁷ Its princes in its midst [are] as wolves, Tearing prey, to shed blood, to destroy souls, For the sake of gaining dishonest gain." ²⁸ And its prophets have daubed for them with chalk, Seeing a vain thing, and divining for them a lie, Saying, `Thus said the Lord Yahweh:' And Yahweh has not spoken." ²⁹ The people of the land have used oppression, And have taken plunder violently away, And humble and needy have oppressed, And the sojourner oppressed--without judgment."

² `Son of man, prophesy concerning shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and you have said unto them:To the shepherds, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Woe [to] the shepherds of Israel, Who have been feeding themselves! The flock do not the shepherds feed? ³ The fat you do eat, and the wool you put on, The fed one you slaughter, the flock you feed not." ⁴ The weak you have not strengthened, And the sick one you have not healed, And the broken you have not bound up, And the driven away have not brought back, And the lost you have not sought, And with might you have ruled them and with rigor." ⁵ And they are scattered from want of a shepherd, And are for food to every beast of the field, Yea, they are scattered." ⁶ Go astray do My flock on all the mountains, And on every high hill, And on all the face of the land have My flock been scattered, And there is none inquiring, and none seeking." ⁷ Therefore, shepherds, hear a word of Yahweh:" ⁸ I live--an affirmation of the Lord Yahweh, If not, because of My flock being for a prey, Yea, My flock is for food to every beast of the field, Because there is no shepherd, And My shepherds have not sought My flock, And the shepherds do feed themselves, And My flock they have not fed." ⁹ Therefore, O shepherds, hear a word of Yahweh:" ¹⁰ Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Lo, I [am] against the shepherds, And have required My flock from their hand, And caused them to cease from feeding the flock, And no more do the shepherds feed themselves, And I have delivered My flock from their mouth, And they are not to them for food."

²¹ Because with side and with shoulder you thrust away, And with your horns push all the diseased, Till you have scattered them to the out-place,

³¹ And you, My flock, the flock of My pasture, Men you [are] --I [am] your Elohim, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh!'"

¹¹ her heads are judging for a bribe, and her priests are directing for a price, and her prophets are divining for money, and on Yahweh they are leaning, saying:Is not Yahweh within us? Evil shall not come on us." ¹² Wherefore, due to you, Zion shall be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become rubbish heaps, and the mountain of the house fane heights of a wildwood."

³ Her chiefs within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they pick clean, leaving nothing for the morning." ⁴ Her prophets are ebullient, treacherous mortals; her priests profane the holy place; they wrong the law."

⁵ whose acquirers will kill, yet will not be guilty. And their sellers will say, Blessed is Yahweh! And we shall be rich! And their own shepherds shall not spare them." ⁶ For I will no longer spare the dwellers of the land, (averring is Yahweh). And behold! I am causing humans to be found, each in the hand of his associate, and in the hand of his king. And they shall pound the land to pieces, yet I will not rescue from their hand." ⁷ And I will graze the flock for the killing, for the traffickers of the flock. And I am taking myself two sticks. One I call Pleasantness, and one I called Pledgers. And I am grazing the flock."

¹⁵ Then Yahweh is saying to me, Further, take to you the implement of a foolish shepherd." ¹⁶ For behold! I am raising up a shepherd in the land. The suppressed he will not visit; the roving he will not seek; and the broken he will not heal; that which stands up he will not sustain. Yet the flesh of the plump he will eat, and their hoofs he will break off." ¹⁷ Woe! forbidden idol's shepherd! forsaker of the flock! A sword is on his arm and on his right eye! His arm shall be dried dry, and his right eye shall be dimmed dim."

³⁶ Now, perceiving the throngs, He has compassion on them, for they were bothered and tossed as if sheep having no shepherd."

¹⁴ Leave them! Blind guides are they of the blind! Now if the blind should be guiding the blind, both shall be falling into a pit."

¹³ Now woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are locking the kingdom of the heavens in front of men. For you are not entering, neither are you letting those entering to enter." ¹⁴ -¹⁵ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are going about the sea and the dry land to make one proselyte, and whenever he may be becoming one, you are making him more than double a son of Gehenna than you are." ¹⁶ Woe to you, blind guides! who are saying, 'Whoever should be swearing by the temple, it is nothing; yet whoever should be swearing by the gold of the temple is owing.'" ¹⁷ Stupid and blind! for which is greater, the gold, or the temple that hallows the gold? ¹⁸ And, 'Whoever should be swearing by the altar, it is nothing; yet whoever should be swearing by the approach present upon it is owing.'" ¹⁹ Stupid and blind! for which is greater, the approach present, or the altar that is hallowing the approach present? ²⁰ He, then, who swears by the altar is swearing by it and by all which is upon it." ²¹ And he who swears by the temple is swearing by it and by Him Who is dwelling in it. ²² And he who swears by heaven is swearing by the throne of God and by Him Who is sitting upon it. ²³ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are taking tithes from the mint and the dill and the cumin, and leave the weightier matters of the law, judging and mercy and faith. Now these it was binding for you to do, and not leave those." ²⁴ Blind guides! straining out a gnat, yet swallowing a camel!" ²⁵ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are cleansing the outside of the cup and the plate, yet inside they are brimming with rapacity and incontinence." ²⁶ Blind Pharisee! Cleanse first the inside of the cup and the plate, that their outside also may be becoming clean!" ²⁷ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are resembling the whitewashed sepulchers which outside, indeed, are appearing beautiful, yet inside they are crammed with the bones of the dead and all uncleanness." ²⁸ Thus you, also, outside, indeed, are appearing to men to be just, yet inside you are distended with hypocrisy and lawlessness." ²⁹ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are building the sepulchers of the prophets and adorning the tombs of the just,

⁴² But woe to you, Pharisees! for you are taking tithes from mint and rue and all greens, and you are passing by judging and the love of God. Now these it was binding for you to do and not to be devoid of those." ⁴³ Woe to you, Pharisees! seeing that you are loving the front seat in the synagogues and the salutations in the markets." ⁴⁴ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are as the obscure tombs, and the men who are walking upon them are not aware of it." ⁴⁵ Now, answering, a certain one of those learned in the law is saying to Him, "Teacher, saying these things, us also are you outraging." ⁴⁶ Yet He said, "To you who are learned in the law, also, woe! for you are loading men with loads hard to bear, and you yourselves are not grazing the loads with one of your fingers." ⁴⁷ Woe to you! for you are building the tombs of the prophets, yet your fathers kill them." ⁴⁸ Consequently you are witnesses and are endorsing the acts of your fathers, for they, indeed, kill them, yet you are building their tombs." ⁴⁹ Therefore, also, God's Wisdom said, 'I shall be dispatching to them prophets and apostles, and some of them they will be killing and banishing,'" ⁵⁰ that the blood of all the prophets which is shed from the disruption of the world may be exacted from this generation, ⁵¹ from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who perished between the altar and the house. Yea, I am saying to you, It will be exacted from this generation!" ⁵² Woe to you who are learned in the law! for you take away the key of knowledge-you yourselves do not enter, and those who are entering you prevent."

¹⁰ The thief is not coming except that he should be stealing and sacrificing and destroying. I came that they may have life eonian, and have it superabundantly."

¹² Yet the hireling, not also being shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, is beholding the wolf coming, and is leaving the sheep and fleeing. And the wolf is snatching them and is scattering the sheep."

³⁴ And now, go, guide the people to the place of which I spoke to you. Behold, My messenger shall go before you, and in the day of My visitation, then I will visit on them their sin.

⁹ For these do I not lay a charge? An affirmation of Yahweh, And on a nation such as this, Does not My soul avenge itself?

²⁹ For these do not I inspect, an affirmation of Yahweh, On a nation such as this, Does not My soul avenge itself?

¹² They were ashamed when they did abomination! Yea, they are not at all ashamed, And blushing they have not known, Therefore, they do fall among falling ones, In the time of their inspection they stumble, said Yahweh."

²² Therefore, thus said Yahweh of Hosts:`Lo, I am seeing after them, The chosen ones die by sword, Their sons and their daughters die by famine,

²¹ What do you say, when He looks after you? And you--you have taught them [to be] over you--leaders for head? Do not pangs seize you as a travailing woman?

¹² O house of David, thus said Yahweh:Decide you judgment at morning, And deliver the plundered from the hand of the oppressor, Lest My fury go forth as fire, And has burned, and none is quenching, Because of the evil of your doings."

³⁴ And the prophet, and the priest, and the people, That said, The burden of Yahweh, I have seen after that man, and after his house."

¹³ And I visit on her the days of the Baals, in which she was fuming incense to them and ornamenting herself with her pendant and her eardrop, and she is going after her lovers, and she forgot Me, (averring is Yahweh)."

⁴ Their good is as prickly nightshade; their uprightness is a hedge. The day of your watchmen, your visitation, comes; now shall be their perplexity."

³⁶ naked and you clothed Me; infirm am I and you visit Me; in jail was I and you come to Me.'

⁴³ a stranger was I and you did not take Me in; naked and you did not clothe Me; infirm and in jail and you did not visit Me.'

²⁷ for ritual clean and undefiled with God the Father is this: to be visiting the bereaved and widowed in their affliction, to be keeping oneself unspotted from the world."

³ Then Yahweh your Elohim will turn back your captivity and show compassion to you; He will return and convene you from all the peoples where Yahweh your Elohim will have scattered you. ⁴ If it comes to be that you should be expelled to the end of the heavens, from there Yahweh your Elohim shall convene you, and from there He shall take you. ⁵ Then Yahweh your Elohim will bring you to the land that your fathers tenanted; you will tenant it, and He will bring you good and let you increase more than your fathers.

⁴⁷ Save us, O Yahweh our Elohim, And convene us from the nations, To acclaim Your holy Name, To triumph in Your praise."

¹¹ And it comes, in that day, Yahweh will proceed to lift up His hand, to be zealous for the remnant of His people which will remain, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Babylon, and from Pathros, and from Ethiopia, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from Arabia, and from the coastlands of the sea." ¹² And He lifts up a banner for the nations, and gathers the expelled of Israel, and the scattered of Judah is He convening from the four wings of the earth." ¹³ And He will withdraw the jealousy of Ephraim, and the distressers of Judah shall be cut off. Ephraim will not be jealous of Judah, and Judah will not distress Ephraim." ¹⁴ And they will fly on the shoulders of the Philistines, seaward. Together will they plunder the sons of the east. On Edom and Moab will they first send their hand, yet the sons of Ammon will be first to hearken to them." ¹⁵ Then Yahweh will drain the tongue of the sea of Egypt, and wave His hand over the stream with the vehemence of His wind, and smite it into seven watercourses, and one will tread it in sandals" ¹⁶ And there comes to be a highway for the remnant of His people, who will remain from Assyria, and in Egypt, as it came to be for Israel in the day they came up from the land of Egypt."

¹² And it comes, in that day, Yahweh will beat gleanings from the trail of the stream unto the watercourse of Egypt. And you, you shall be gleaned one by one, sons of Israel." ¹³ And it comes, in that day, blown shall be a great trumpet, and those perishing in the land of Assyria will come, and those expelled in the land of Egypt, and worship Yahweh in the holy mount in Jerusalem."

⁵ You must not fear, for I am with you! From the rising of the sun will I bring your seed, and from the west will I convene you." ⁶ I will say to the north, `Give.' And to the south, `You must not detain.' Bring My sons from a land afar, and My daughters from the ends of the earth;"

¹⁴ And I have been found of you--an affirmation of Yahweh; and I have turned back [to] your captivity, and have gathered you out of all the nations, and out of all the places whither I have driven you--an affirmation of Yahweh--and I have brought you back unto the place whence I removed you."

³ For, lo, days are coming--an affirmation of Yahweh--and I have turned back [to] the captivity of My people Israel and Judah, said Yahweh, and I have caused them to turn back unto the land that I gave to their fathers, and they do possess it.'"

⁸ Lo, I am bringing them in from the north country, And have gathered them from the sides of the earth, Among them [are] blind and lame, Conceiving and travailing one--together, A great assembly--they turn back hither."

³⁷ Lo, I am gathering them out of all the lands whither I have driven them in Mine anger, and in My fury, and in great wrath, and I have brought them back unto this place, and have caused them to dwell confidently;"

¹⁷ Therefore say:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:And I have assembled you from the peoples, And I have gathered you from the lands, Into which you have been scattered, And I have given to you the ground of Israel."

¹¹ For thus said the Lord Yahweh:Lo, I--even I, have required My flock, And I have sought it out." ¹² As a shepherd's searching of his drove, In the day of his being in the midst of his scattered flock, so I do seek My flock, And have delivered them out of all places, Whither they have been scattered, In a day of cloud and thick darkness." ¹³ And brought them out from the peoples, And have gathered them from the lands, And brought them unto their own ground, And have fed them on mountains of Israel, By streams, and by all dwellings of the land." ¹⁴ With good pasture I do feed them, And on mountains of the high place of Israel is their habitation, There do they lie down in a good habitation, And fat pastures they enjoy on mountains of Israel." ¹⁵ I feed My flock, and cause them to lie down, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh." ¹⁶ The lost I seek, and the driven away bring back, And the broken I bind up, and the sick I strengthen, And the fat and the strong I destroy, I feed it with judgment." ¹⁷ And you, My flock, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Lo, I am judging between sheep and sheep, Between rams and he-goats." ¹⁸ Is it a little thing for you--the good pasture you enjoy, And the remnant of your pasture you tread down with your feet, And a depth of waters you do drink, And the remainder with your feet you trample, ¹⁹ And My flock the trodden thing of your feet consumes, And the trampled thing of your feet drinks? ²⁰ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh to them:Lo, I--even I, have judged between fat sheep and lean sheep." ²¹ Because with side and with shoulder you thrust away, And with your horns push all the diseased, Till you have scattered them to the out-place, ²² And I have given safety to My flock, And they are not any more for prey, And I have judged between sheep and sheep." ²³ And have raised up over them one shepherd, And he has fed them--my servant David, He does feed them, and he is their shepherd, ²⁴ And I, Yahweh, I am their Elohim, And My servant David prince in their midst, I, Yahweh, have spoken." ²⁵ And I have made for them a covenant of peace, And caused evil beasts to cease out of the land, And they have dwelt in a wilderness confidently, And they have slept in forests." ²⁶ And I have given them, and the suburbs of my hill, a blessing, And caused the shower to come down in its season, Showers of blessing they are." ²⁷ And given has the tree of the field its fruit, And the land does give her increase, And they have been on their land confident, And they have known that I [am] Yahweh, In My breaking the bands of their yoke, And I have delivered them from the hand of those laying service on them." ²⁸ And they are no more a prey to nations, And the beast of the earth devours them not, And they have dwelt confidently, And there is none troubling." ²⁹ And I have raised for them a plant for renown, And they are no more consumed by hunger in the land, And they bear no more the shame of the nations." ³⁰ And they have known that I, Yahweh, their Elohim, [am] with them, And they--the house of Israel--My people, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh." ³¹ And you, My flock, the flock of My pasture, Men you [are] --I [am] your Elohim, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh!'"

²⁴ And I have taken you out of the nations, And have gathered you out of all the lands, And I have brought you in unto your land,

³⁷ Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Yet this I am required, By the house of Israel to do to them, I multiply them as a flock of men,

²¹ and speak you unto them:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Lo, I am taking the sons of Israel, From among the nations whither they have gone, And have gathered them from round about, And I have brought them in unto their land." ²² And I have made them become one nation in the land, on mountains of Israel, And one king is to them all for king, And they are no more as two nations, Nor are they divided any more into two kingdoms again." ²³ Nor are they defiled any more with their idols, And with their abominations, And with any of their transgressions, And I have saved them out of all their dwellings, In which they have sinned, And I have cleansed them, And they have been to Me for a people, And I--I am to them for Elohim." ²⁴ And My servant David [is] king over them, And one shepherd have they all, And in My judgments they go, And My statutes they keep, and have done them." ²⁵ And they have dwelt on the land that I gave to My servant, to Jacob, In which your fathers have dwelt, And they have dwelt on it, they and their sons, And their son's sons--unto the eon, And David My servant [is] their prince--to the eon." ²⁶ And I have made to them a covenant of peace, A covenant eonian it is with them, And I have placed them, and multiplied them, And placed My sanctuary in their midst--to the eon." ²⁷ And My tabernacle has been over them, And I have been to them for Elohim, And they have been to Me for a people."

²⁷ In My bringing them back from the peoples, I have assembled them from the lands of their enemies, And I have been sanctified in them before the eyes of the many nations, ²⁸ And they have known that I [am] Yahweh their Elohim, In My removing them unto the nations, And I have gathered them unto their land, And I leave none of them any more there."

¹⁴ And I will reverse the captivity of My people Israel, and they shall build the desolated cities and dwell in them. And they shall plant vineyards and drink their wine, and shall make gardens and eat their fruit." ¹⁵ And I will plant them on their ground, and not again shall they be plucked up off their ground which I give to them. Says Yahweh, your Elohim, Him Who-Suffices."

¹² In that day also, unto you shall they come from Assyria and the cities of lower Egypt, and from Tyre and unto the stream, and from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain."

¹⁹ Behold Me dealing with all those humbling you, at that season, (averring is Yahweh). And I will save her who is limping, and her who is expelled will I convene; and I will make them a praise and a name in the entire earth of their shame." ²⁰ At that season will I bring you in, even at the season of my convening you; for I will give you a name and a praise among all the peoples of the earth, in My reversal of your captivities before your eyes, says Yahweh."

⁸ I shall hiss for them and convene them, for I ransom them, and they increase just as they have increased." ⁹ And I will sow them among the peoples, yet in the far places shall they remember Me. And they shall live with their sons and return." ¹⁰ And I restore them from the land of Egypt, and from Assyria will I convene them. And to the land of Gilead and Lebanon will I bring them, yet no room will be found for them." ¹¹ And He passes in the sea of distress, and He smites the billows in the sea, and all the shadowy depths of the waterway shall be dried. And all the pomp of Assyria shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt shall withdraw." ¹² And I will give them mastery in Yahweh, their Elohim, and in His name shall they walk, (averring is Yahweh)."

⁴⁹ and said to Moses:Your servants have obtained the total of the men of war who are under our hand, and not a man is missing from us.

⁷⁰ He chose David, His servant, And He took him from the folds of the flock;" ⁷¹ From following the ewes, He brought him To shepherd Jacob, His people, And Israel, His allotment." ⁷² So he shepherded them in the integrity of his heart, And by the understanding of his palms, he guided them."

¹¹ And it comes, in that day, Yahweh will proceed to lift up His hand, to be zealous for the remnant of His people which will remain, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Babylon, and from Pathros, and from Ethiopia, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from Arabia, and from the coastlands of the sea."

¹⁴ Turn back, O backsliding sons, An affirmation of Yahweh. For I have ruled over you, And taken you one of a city, and two of a family, And have brought you to Zion, ¹⁵ And I have given to you shepherds According to Mine own heart, And they have fed you with knowledge and understanding."

¹⁰ And you, be not afraid, My servant Jacob, An affirmation of Yahweh, Nor be affrighted, O Israel, For, lo, I am saving you from afar, And your seed from the land of their captivity, And Jacob has turned back and rested, And is quiet, and there is none troubling."

¹⁰ Hear a word of Yahweh, O nations, And declare you among isles afar off, and say:He who is scattering Israel does gather him, And has kept him as a shepherd [does] his flock,

²⁶ Also the seed of Jacob, and David My servant, I reject, Against taking from his seed rulers For the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, For I turn back [to] their captivity, and have pitied them.'"

²⁷ And you, you do not fear, my servant Jacob, Nor [are] you dismayed, O Israel, For lo, I am saving you from afar, And your seed from the land of their captivity, And Jacob has turned back, And has been at rest, and been at ease, And there is none disturbing." ²⁸ You, you do not fear, My servant Jacob, An affirmation of Yahweh--for with you I [am], For I make an end of all the nations Whither I have driven you, And of you I do not make an end, And I have reproved you in judgment, And do not entirely acquit you!'"

³ And I am saying to her, Many days shall you dwell for me, and not be committing prostitution. And you shall not become another man's. And moreover, I will be so for you." ⁴ For many days shall the sons of Israel dwell without king and without chief, and without sacrifice and without altar, and without priesthood or thummim." ⁵ Afterward are the sons of Israel returning, and they seek Yahweh their Elohim, and David their king, and they come in awe to Yahweh and to His goodness, in the latter days."

² And you, Bethlehem Ephratah, inferior to be among the mentors of Judah, from you shall One fare forth for Me to become the Ruler in Israel; yet His farings forth are from aforetime, from days eonian."

⁴ And He stands and shepherds His flock in the strength of Yahweh, in the pomp of the name of Yahweh, His Elohim. And they shall dwell, for now shall He be great unto the limits of the land." ⁵ And this One comes to be Peace. When Assyria is entering into our land, and when he is treading in our ground, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight sovereigns of humanity."

¹⁴ Shepherd Your people with Your club, the flock of Your allotment, tabernacling solitary in the wildwood in the midst of Carmel. They shall graze in Bashan and Gilead as in the days of the eon."

³⁹ Now this is the will of Him Who sends Me, that all which He has given to Me, of it I should be losing nothing, but I shall be raising it in the last day." ⁴⁰ For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who is beholding the Son and believing in Him may have life eonian, and I shall be raising him in the last day."

²⁷ My sheep are hearing My voice, and I know them, and they are following Me." ²⁸ And I am giving them life eonian, and they should by no means be perishing for the eon, and no one shall be snatching them out of My hand." ²⁹ My Father, Who has given them to Me, is greater than all, and no one is able to be snatching them out of My Father's hand." ³⁰ I and the Father, We are one."

¹² When I was with them in the world, I kept those whom Thou hast given Me in Thy name, and I guard them, and not one of them perished, except the son of destruction, that the scripture may be fulfilled."

⁹ that fulfilled may be the saying which He said, that "Of those whom Thou hast given Me, of them I do not lose anyone."

¹⁵ When, then, they lunch, Jesus is saying to Simon Peter, "Simon of John, are you loving Me more than these?He is saying to Him, "Yes, Lord, Thou art aware that I am fond of Thee!He is saying to him, "Graze My lambkins!" ¹⁶ He is saying to him again a second time, "Simon of John, are you loving Me?He is saying to Him, "Yes, Lord, Thou art aware that I am fond of Thee!He is saying to him, "Shepherd My sheep!" ¹⁷ He is saying to him the third time, "Simon of John, are you fond of Me?Peter was sorry that He said to him the third time "Are you fond of Me?and he is saying to Him, "Lord, Thou art aware of all things! Thou knowest that I am fond of Thee.And Jesus is saying to him, "Graze My little sheep!"

²⁸ Take heed to yourselves and to the entire flocklet, among which the holy spirit appointed you supervisors, to be shepherding the ecclesia of God, which He procures through the blood of His Own." ²⁹ Now I am aware that, after I am out of reach, burdensome wolves will be entering among you, not sparing the flocklet."

⁵ who are garrisoned by the power of God, through faith, for salvation ready to be revealed in the last era,

¹ The elders, then, among you I am entreating (who am a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and a participant of the glory about to be revealed), ² Shepherd the flocklet of God among you, supervising, not of compulsion, but voluntarily, according to God; nor yet avariciously, but eagerly;" ³ nor yet as lording it over the allotments, but becoming models for the flocklet, ⁴ and, when the Chief Shepherd is manifested, you shall be requited with an unfading wreath of glory."

⁴ And in Your honor prosper, ride forth On behalf of truth and humility and righteousness; Then may Your right hand direct You in fear inspiring deeds."

¹ {Solomonic{ O Elohim, bestow Your right judgments on the king, And Your righteousness on the royal son." ² May he adjudicate Your people with righteousness, And Your humbled ones with redress."

¹⁵ Even the sprig that Your right hand has planted; And watch over the son You have made resolute for Yourself.

² In that day the elegance of Yahweh is coming to be for stateliness, and for glory, and the face of the land for pomp and for beauty, for the delivered of Israel and Judah."

⁷ To the increase of the chieftainship, and to the welfare shall be no end. On the throne of David, and over his kingdom, to prepare it, and to brace it with judgment and with justice, henceforth and in the future eon. The zeal of Yahweh of hosts will do this."

¹ And a Twig shall fare forth from the set slip of Jesse, and a Scion from his roots shall be fruitful." ² And the spirit of Yahweh shall rest on Him:A spirit of wisdom and understanding, a spirit of counsel and mastery, a spirit of knowledge and the fear of Yahweh." ³ And His scent is in the fear of Yahweh. And not by the sight of His eyes will He judge, and not by the hearing of His ears will He correct." ⁴ Yet He will judge with righteousness the poor, and correct with equity for the humble of the land. And He will smite the earth with the club of His mouth, and with the spirit of His lips will He put to death the wicked." ⁵ And it comes that righteousness is the belt of His waist, and faithfulness the band of His loins."

¹ Behold! For justice, a king shall reign, and chiefs for judgment shall control." ² And a man becomes as a hiding place from the wind, and a concealment from the storm, as rillets of water in an arid place, as the shadow of a massive crag in a faint-making desert land."

⁹ On a mountain lofty ascend; go you, tidings-bearer, to Zion! Raise high your voice with vigor, tidings-bearer, to Jerusalem! Raise it high! You must not fear! Say to the cities of Judah, "Behold your Elohim!" ¹⁰ Behold! My Lord Yahweh with steadfastness is coming. And His arm is ruling for Him. Behold! His hire is with Him. And His wage is before Him. ¹¹ As a shepherd He is grazing His drove, and in His arm He is cuddling the lambkins, and in His bosom He is carrying them. The pregnant He is comforting. The unweaned He is conducting."

¹³ Behold! Intelligent will be My Servant, high, and lifted up, and exceedingly lofty."

² And He is coming up as a layer-plant before Him, and as a root sprout from earth that is arid. No shape has He nor honor when we shall see Him, and no appearance nor loveliness that we will covet Him."

¹⁰ yet Yahweh desires to crush Him, and He causes Him to be wounded. Should you place His soul for a guilt approach, He shall see a seed. He shall lengthen His days, and the desire of Yahweh shall prosper in His hand."

³ Thus said Yahweh:Do you judgment and righteousness, And deliver the plundered from the hand of the oppressor, And sojourner, orphan, and widow, you do not oppress nor wrong, And innocent blood you do not shed in this place."

¹⁵ Do you reign, because you are fretting yourself in cedar? Your father--did he not eat and drink? Yea, he did judgment and righteousness, Then [it is] well with him."

³⁰ Thus said Yahweh:Write you this man childless, A man--he does not prosper in his days, For none of his seed does prosper, Sitting on the throne of David, And ruling again in Judah!"

⁶ In his days is Judah saved, and Israel dwells confidently, And this his name that Yahweh proclaims him, `Our Righteousness.'"

⁹ And they have served Yahweh their Elohim, And David their king whom I raise up to them."

²⁷ Lo, days are coming, an affirmation of Yahweh, And I have sown the house of Israel, And the house of Judah, With seed of man, and seed of beast."

³¹ Lo, days are coming, an affirmation of Yahweh, And I have made with the house of Israel And with the house of Judah a new covenant, ³² Not like the covenant that I made with their fathers, In the day of My laying hold on their hand, To bring them out of the land of Egypt, In that they made void My covenant, And I ruled over them--an affirmation of Yahweh." ³³ For this [is] the covenant that I make, With the house of Israel, after those days, An affirmation of Yahweh, I have given My law in their inward part, And on their heart I do write it, And I have been to them for Elohim, And they are to me for a people." ³⁴ And they do not teach any more Each his neighbor, and each his brother, Saying, Know you Yahweh, For they all know Me, from their least unto their greatest, An affirmation of Yahweh; For I pardon their iniquity, And of their sin I make mention no more." ³⁵ Thus said Yahweh, Who is giving the sun for a light by day, The statutes of moon and stars for a light by night, Quieting the sea when its billows roar, Yahweh of Hosts [is] His name:" ³⁶ If these statutes depart from before Me, An affirmation of Yahweh, Even the seed of Israel does cease From being a nation before Me all the days." ³⁷ Thus said Yahweh:If the heavens above be measured, And the foundations of earth below searched, Even I kick against all the seed of Israel, For all that they have done, An affirmation of Yahweh." ³⁸ Lo, days [are coming], an affirmation of Yahweh, And the city has been built to Yahweh, From the tower of Hananeel to the gate of the corner."

¹⁴ Lo, days are coming, an affirmation of Yahweh, And I have established the good word That I spoke unto the house of Israel, And concerning the house of Judah." ¹⁵ In those days, and at that time, I cause to shoot up to David a shoot of righteousness, And he has done judgment and righteousness in the earth." ¹⁶ In those days is Judah saved, And Jerusalem does dwell confidently, And this [is] he whom Yahweh proclaims to her:`Our Righteousness.'"

² `Son of man, put forth a riddle, and use a simile unto the house of Israel, ³ and you have said:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:The great eagle, great-winged, long-pinioned, Full of feathers, that has diverse colors, Has come in unto Lebanon, And it takes the foliage of the cedar, ⁴ The top of its tender twigs it has cropped, And it brings it in to the land of Canaan. In a city of merchants it has placed it." ⁵ And it takes of the seed of the land, And does put it in a field of seed, To take by many waters, In a conspicuous place it has set it." ⁶ And it springs up, and becomes a spreading vine, humble of stature, To turn its thin shoots toward itself, And its roots are under it, And it becomes a vine, and makes boughs, And sends forth beauteous branches." ⁷ And there is another great eagle, Great-winged, and abounding with feathers, And lo, this vine has bent its roots toward him, And its thin shoots it has sent out toward him, To water it from the furrows of its planting, ⁸ On a good field, by many waters, it is planted, To make branches, and to bear fruit, To be for an goodly vine." ⁹ Say:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:It prospers--its roots does he not draw out, And its fruit cut off, and it is withered? [In] all the leaves of its springing it withers, And not by great strength, and by a numerous people, To lift it up by its roots." ¹⁰ And lo, the planted thing--does it prosper? When come against it does the east wind, Does it not utterly wither? On the furrows of its springing it withers.'"

²² Thus said the Lord Yahweh:I have taken of the foliage of the high cedar, And I have set [it], From the top of its tender shoots a tender one I crop, And I--I have planted [it] on a mountain high and lofty." ²³ In a mountain--the high place of Israel, I plant it, And it has borne boughs, and yielded fruit, And become a goodly cedar, And dwelt under it have all birds of every wing, In the shade of its thin shoots they dwell." ²⁴ And known have all trees of the field That I, Yahweh, have made low the high tree, I have set on high the low tree, I have dried up the moist tree, And I have caused the dry tree to flourish, I, Yahweh, have spoken, and have done [it]!'"

²⁹ And I have raised for them a plant for renown, And they are no more consumed by hunger in the land, And they bear no more the shame of the nations."

²⁴ Seventy sevens are segregated for your people and for your holy city:To detain transgression, to cause sin to end, to make a propitiatory shelter for depravity; to bring the righteousness of the eons, to seal the vision and the prophet, to anoint the holy of holies."

⁵ Afterward are the sons of Israel returning, and they seek Yahweh their Elohim, and David their king, and they come in awe to Yahweh and to His goodness, in the latter days."

¹¹ In that day will I raise up the fallen booth of David, and I will dike with stones its breaches, and its demolished places will I raise, and I will build it as in the days of the eon,

⁸ Hear, pray, Joshua, the great priest, you and your associates who are sitting before you, for mortals of a miracle are they, for behold Me bringing My servant, the Sprout."

¹² And you speak to him, saying, Thus speaks Yahweh of hosts, saying:Behold the man! Sprout is his name. And from under him shall it sprout. And he shall build the temple of Yahweh, ¹³ even he shall build the temple of Yahweh, and he shall bear the splendor. And he shall sit and rule on his throne, and there comes to be a priest at his throne, and the counsel of welfare shall come to be between the two of them."

⁹ Exult exceedingly, daughter of Zion! Shout, daughter of Jerusalem! Behold! your King shall come to you! Righteous and endowed with salvation is He. Humble and riding on an ass, and on a colt, the foal of a she-ass."

² saying, "Where is He Who is brought forth King of the Jews? For we perceived His star in the East, and we came to worship Him."

³² He shall be great, and Son of the Most High shall He be called. And the Lord God shall be giving Him the throne of David, ³³ His father, and He shall reign over the house of Jacob for the eons. And of His kingdom there shall be no consummation."

⁴⁵ Philip is finding Nathanael and is saying to him, "Him of Whom Moses writes in the law and the prophets, have we found Jesus, a son of Joseph, from Nazareth."

⁴⁹ Nathanael answered and is saying to Him, "Rabbi, Thou art the Son of God! Thou art the King of Israel!"

⁸ For, blaming them, He is saying, "Lo! the days are coming,the Lord is saying, "And I shall be concluding with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah a new covenant,

¹¹ And I perceived heaven open, and lo! a white horse. And He Who is sitting on it is called "Faithful and True,and in righteousness is He judging and battling."

²⁸ So Israel shall tabernacle in trust; solitary is the spring of Jacob in a land of grain and grape juice. Indeed, his heavens shall trickle the night mist. ²⁹ Happy are you, Israel! Who is like you? A people saved by Yahweh, the Shield of your Helper, Who is also the Sword of your augustness! Your enemies shall dissimulate submission to you, yet you, you shall tread on their fane heights.

²⁵ And Judah dwells--and Israel--in confidence, each under his vine, and under his fig-tree, from Dan even unto Beer-Sheba, all the days of Solomon.

⁷ Wait, Israel, for Yahweh, For with Yahweh is benignity, And with Him abundant ransom." ⁸ And He Himself shall ransom Israel From all its depravities.

⁴ And He judges between the nations, and corrects many peoples. And they pound their swords into mattocks, and their spears into pruners. And nation is not lifting the sword against nation, nor learning still further to fight."

¹⁴ Wherefore, Yahweh Himself will give a sign to you:Behold! the damsel shall be pregnant and bear a son, and you call his name Emmanu-El."

⁶ For a Boy is born to us; a Son is given to us, and the chieftainship shall come to be on His shoulder, and His name is called "Marvelous.Counsel to the master shall He bring, to the chief of the future, welfare."

¹ And you will say, in that day, "I am acclaiming You, Yahweh, for You wast angry with me, yet reversing is Your anger, and You are comforting me." ² Behold! El is my Salvation. I am trusting in Him and am not afraid. For my Strength and Melody is Yah, Yahweh, and He is becoming mine for salvation."

²² For Yahweh is our Judge, and Yahweh is our Statute Maker, and Yahweh is our King; He will save us!"

⁹ Nor shall a lion come there, and a breacher of living things will fail to ascend it. It shall not be found there. Yet the redeemed shall go into it,

¹⁷ Israel is saved by Yahweh, with a salvation eonian. They shall not be ashamed nor confounded for future eons."

²⁴ Yea, in Yahweh,He says to me, "is righteousness and strength. Unto Him shall come all ashamed, who are hot against Him." ²⁵ In Yahweh shall they be just, and in Elohim all the seed of Israel shall boast."

¹⁷ Any implement formed against you shall not prosper, and any tongue which rises against you for judgment you shall condemn. This is the allotment of the servants of Yahweh, and their righteousness is from Me,averring is Yahweh."

¹⁶ In those days is Judah saved, And Jerusalem does dwell confidently, And this [is] he whom Yahweh proclaims to her:`Our Righteousness.'"

²⁴ And My servant David [is] king over them, And one shepherd have they all, And in My judgments they go, And My statutes they keep, and have done them." ²⁵ And they have dwelt on the land that I gave to My servant, to Jacob, In which your fathers have dwelt, And they have dwelt on it, they and their sons, And their son's sons--unto the eon, And David My servant [is] their prince--to the eon." ²⁶ And I have made to them a covenant of peace, A covenant eonian it is with them, And I have placed them, and multiplied them, And placed My sanctuary in their midst--to the eon." ²⁷ And My tabernacle has been over them, And I have been to them for Elohim, And they have been to Me for a people." ²⁸ And known have the nations that I Yahweh am sanctifying Israel, In My sanctuary being in their midst--to the eon!'"

⁷ Yet on the house of Judah will I have compassion, and I will save them by Yahweh, their Elohim. Yet I will not save them by bow, or by sword, or by battle, by horses or by horsemen."

¹⁸ And I contract for them a covenant in that day with the field life, and with the flyer of the heavens, and the moving animal of the ground. And bow and sword and battle will I break away from the earth, and I will cause them to lie down trustingly."

¹⁷ Yet in mount Zion deliverance shall come to be, and it will become holy. And the house of Jacob shall tenant their own tenancies."

²¹ And saviours shall come up in mount Zion, to judge mount Esau. And the kingdom shall become Yahweh's."

¹³ The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity nor speak a lie, nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth. For they shall graze, and recline, and no one is causing them to tremble."

⁴ And he is saying to him, Run, speak to this youth, saying:As unwalled villages shall Jerusalem dwell, because of the multitude of humans and beasts in her midst." ⁵ And I will become for her, (averring is Yahweh), a wall of fire round about. And for glory will I become in her midst."

¹⁰ In that day, (averring is Yahweh of hosts), you shall invite each man his associate to come under the vine and under the fig tree."

⁶ And I will give mastery to the house of Judah, and the house of Joseph will I save. And I will cause them to dwell, for I have compassion on them, and they shall come to be as if I had not cast them off; for I am Yahweh their Elohim, and I will respond to them."

⁹ Then Yahweh shall come to be King over the entire earth. In that day Yahweh is coming to be one, and His name one." ¹⁰ All the land shall be round about as the gorge from Geba to Rimmon, as the south rim of Jerusalem. Yet it is high, and under itself it shall be indwelt from the gate of Benjamin unto the place of the first gate, unto the gate of the corners and from the tower of Hananeel, unto the king's wine vats." ¹¹ And they shall dwell in it, and doom is coming no more, and Jerusalem shall dwell trustingly."

²¹ Now she shall be bringing forth a Son, and you shall be calling His name Jesus, for He shall be saving His people from their sins." ²² Now the whole of this has occurred that that may be fulfilled which is declared by the Lord through the prophet, saying: ²³ "Lo! The virgin shall be pregnant
And shall be bringing forth a Son,
And they shall be calling His name 'Emmanuel,'
which is, being construed, "God with us."

⁷¹ Salvation from our enemies, And out of the hand of all those who are hating us, ⁷² To do mercy with our fathers, And to be reminded of His holy covenant, ⁷³ The oath which He swears to Abraham our father, ⁷⁴ To grant to us, being rescued out of the hand of our enemies, To be fearlessly offering divine service to Him"

⁹ Now Jesus said to him that "Today salvation came to this home, forasmuch as he also is a son of Abraham." ¹⁰ For the Son of Mankind came to seek and to save the lost."

²² yet a righteousness of God through Jesus Christ's faith, for all, and on all who are believing, for there is no distinction,

²⁶ And thus all Israel shall be saved, according as it is written, Arriving out of Zion shall be the Rescuer. He will be turning away irreverence from Jacob." ²⁷ And this is my covenant with them Whenever I should be eliminating their sins.

³⁰ Yet you, of Him, are in Christ Jesus, Who became to us wisdom from God, besides righteousness and holiness and deliverance,

²¹ For the One not knowing sin, He makes to be a sin offering for our sakes that we may be becoming God's righteousness in Him."

⁹ and may be found in Him, not having my righteousness, which is of law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is from God for faith:"

¹⁸ You must not be mindful of the former things, and those preceding, you must not consider." ¹⁹ Behold Me doing a new thing. Now is it sprouting. Are you not knowing it? Indeed, I am placing a way in the wilderness, tracks in the desolation."

¹⁴ Therefore, lo, days are coming, An affirmation of Yahweh, And it is not said any more:`Yahweh lives, who brought up The sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt,'" <sup>15</sup> But, `Yahweh lives, who brought up The sons of Israel out of the land of the north, And out of all the lands whither He drove them,' And I have brought them back to their land, That I gave to their fathers."

³ And I do gather the remnant of My flock Out of all the lands whither I drove them, And have brought them back unto their fold, And they have been fruitful, and multiplied."

³¹ Lo, days are coming, an affirmation of Yahweh, And I have made with the house of Israel And with the house of Judah a new covenant, ³² Not like the covenant that I made with their fathers, In the day of My laying hold on their hand, To bring them out of the land of Egypt, In that they made void My covenant, And I ruled over them--an affirmation of Yahweh." ³³ For this [is] the covenant that I make, With the house of Israel, after those days, An affirmation of Yahweh, I have given My law in their inward part, And on their heart I do write it, And I have been to them for Elohim, And they are to me for a people." ³⁴ And they do not teach any more Each his neighbor, and each his brother, Saying, Know you Yahweh, For they all know Me, from their least unto their greatest, An affirmation of Yahweh; For I pardon their iniquity, And of their sin I make mention no more."

¹ For Yahweh will have compassion on Jacob, and He chooses still in Israel, and He leaves them on their own ground. And the sojourners are obligated to them, and they are adherents to the house of Jacob."

⁸ Thus says Yahweh, "As when finding the grape juice in the cluster, and it is said, `You must not ruin it, for a blessing is in it,' so am I doing on account of My servants, to avoid the ruin of the whole." ⁹ And I bring forth from Jacob a seed, and from Judah a tenant of My holy mountain, and tenant it shall My chosen, and My servants shall tabernacle there." ¹⁰ And Sharon shall become a homestead for a flock, and the vale of Achar for reclining a herd, for My people who inquire of Me."

¹³ And brought them out from the peoples, And have gathered them from the lands, And brought them unto their own ground, And have fed them on mountains of Israel, By streams, and by all dwellings of the land."

²⁵ And they have dwelt on the land that I gave to My servant, to Jacob, In which your fathers have dwelt, And they have dwelt on it, they and their sons, And their son's sons--unto the eon, And David My servant [is] their prince--to the eon."

²⁸ And they have known that I [am] Yahweh their Elohim, In My removing them unto the nations, And I have gathered them unto their land, And I leave none of them any more there."

²⁰ At that season will I bring you in, even at the season of my convening you; for I will give you a name and a praise among all the peoples of the earth, in My reversal of your captivities before your eyes, says Yahweh."

¹⁹ because your heart [is] tender, and you are humbled because of Yahweh, in your hearing that which I have spoken against this place, and against its inhabitants, to be for a desolation, and for a reviling, and do rend your garments, and weep before Me--I also have heard--the affirmation of Yahweh-. ²⁰ therefore, lo, I am gathering you unto your fathers, and you have been gathered unto your grave in peace, and your eyes do not look on any of the evil that I am bringing in on this place;' and they bring the king back word.

³ You have shown Your people hardship; You have made us drink wine that causes tremoring.

⁵ And saying am I, "Alack to me! For stilled am I, for a man of unclean lips am I, and amidst a people of unclean lips am I dwelling, for the King, Yahweh of hosts, my eyes have seen!"

¹ Woe! Proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim! And decaying blossom of its stately beauty, which is at the head of the fertile ravine, drunkards for whom there is no wine!"

⁹ Dally and be amazed! Regale yourself and revel! Be drunk, yet not from wine! Sway, yet not from an intoxicant!"

²¹ Wherefore pray, hear this, humbled one, and drunken one, yet not with wine:"

³¹ The prophets have prophesied falsely, And the priests bear rule by their means, And My people have loved [it] so, And what do they at its latter end?

¹ Who does make my head waters, And mine eye a fountain of tears? And I weep by day and by night, For the wounded of the daughter of my people."

¹⁷ And you have said unto them this word:Tears come down mine eyes night and day, And they do not cease, For, [with] a great breach, Broken has been the virgin daughter of my people, A very grievous stroke." ¹⁸ If I have gone forth to the field, Then, lo, the pierced of the sword! And if I have entered the city, Then, lo, the diseased of famine! For both prophet and priest have gone up and down Unto a land that they knew not."

¹⁵ `For thus said Yahweh Elohim of Israel unto me, Take the wine cup of this fury out of My hand, and you have caused all the nations to drink it unto whom I am sending you;" <sup>16</sup> And they have drunk, and shaken themselves and shown themselves foolish, because of the sword that I am sending among them." <sup>17</sup> `And I take the cup out of the hand of Yahweh, and cause all the nations to drink unto whom Yahweh sent me:" ¹⁸ Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, And its kings, its heads, To give them to waste, to astonishment, To hissing, and to reviling, as [at] this day."

¹⁵ He surfeits me with bitter herbs; He satiates me with wormwood.

⁴ And He calls unto the man who is clothed with linen, who has the scribe's inkhorn at his loins, and Yahweh said unto him, `Pass on into the midst of the city, into the midst of Jerusalem, and you have made a mark on the foreheads of the men who are sighing and who are groaning for all the abominations that are done in its midst.'"

⁶ aged, young man, and virgin, and infant, and women, you do slay--to destruction; and against any man on whom [is] the mark you do not go nigh, and from My sanctuary you begin.'"

²⁷ When I, Daniel, come to, I am ailing for many days. Then I am rising and doing my work for the king. I am still desolated by the sight, and there is no one who understands."

¹⁶ I heard and my belly is disturbed; at the sound my lips tingled; trembling is coming into my bones, and under me I am disturbed in flesh. I will rest for the day of distress to go up to the people of my sojourning."

⁹ Now I lived, apart from law, once, yet at the coming of the precept Sin revives. Yet I died,

³⁴ A fruitful area into a salty waste, Because of the evil of those dwelling in it."

⁶ Therefore an imprecation devours the land, and dwellers in it are guilty. Therefore the dwellers are drained out of the land, and there remain but a bit of the mortals."

⁷ For this I am not propitious to you, Your sons have forsaken Me, And are satisfied by that which is not elohim, I satisfy them, and they commit adultery, And at the house of a harlot They gather themselves together." ⁸ Fed horses--they have been early risers, Each to the wife of his neighbor they neigh."

⁹ Stealing, murdering, and committing adultery, And swearing to falsehood, and giving perfume to Baal, And going after other elohims whom you knew not."

² Who does give me in a wilderness A lodging-place of travellers? And I leave my people, and go from them, For all of them [are] adulterers, An assembly of treacherous ones."

¹⁰ For the mountains I lift up weeping and wailing, And for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, For they have been burnt up without any passing over, Nor have they heard the voice of cattle, From the fowl of the heavens unto the beast they have fled, they have gone."

³ And You, O Yahweh, You have known me, You see me, and have tried my heart with You, Draw them away as sheep to slaughter, And separate them for a day of slaughter." ⁴ Till when does the earth mourn, And the herb of the whole field wither? For the wickedness of those dwelling in it, Consumed have been beast and fowl, Because they said, `He does not see our latter end.'"

² Mourned has Judah, and her gates have languished, They have mourned to the earth, And the cry of Jerusalem has gone up."

² She is lamenting, yea lamenting in the night, her tears on her cheeks; There is no one to comfort her of all her lovers; All her associates have dealt treacherously with her; they have become her enemies." ³ Deported is Judah after humiliation and much servitude; She dwells among the nations but finds no rest; All her pursuers have overtaken her in the narrow places. ⁴ The roads to Zion are mournful without anyone coming to the appointed festivals; All her gateways are desolate; her priests are sighing; Her virgins are afflicted, and to herself it has brought bitterness."

⁹ Men of slander have been in you to shed blood, And on the mountains they have eaten in you, Wickedness they have done in your midst." ¹⁰ The nakedness of a father has one uncovered in you, The defiled of impurity they humbled in you." ¹¹ And each with the wife of his neighbor has done abomination, And each his daughter-in-law has defiled through wickedness, And each his sister, his father's daughter, has humbled in you."

² Imprecation and dissimulation and murder and stealing and adultery breach forth in the land, and blood touches blood." ³ Therefore the land shall mourn, and every dweller in it shall be enfeebled with the field life, and with the moving animals on the ground, and with the flyers of the heavens; and even the fishes of the sea shall be gathered away."

¹⁰ The field is devastated; the ground mourns; for the grain is devastated. The grape juice is dried; the clarified oil is enfeebled.

³ And he is saying to me, This is the execration which is faring forth over the surface of the entire land, for every thief, henceforth as death doomed shall be visited with vengeance, and every swearer, henceforth as death doomed shall be visited with vengeance." ⁴ I will bring it forth, (averring is Yahweh of hosts), and it enters into the house of the thief, and into the house of him who swears in My name falsely, and it lodges in the midst of his house, and it consumes it and its timbers and its stones."

⁵ Then I will come near to you for judgment, and become a hastening witness against the enchanters and against the adulterers, and against those who are swearing in My name to falsehood, and against those extorting the hire of the hireling, and those tyrannizing over the widow and taunting the orphan, and turning aside the sojourner, and do not fear Me, says Yahweh of hosts."

⁹ Or are you not aware that the unjust shall not be enjoying the allotment of God's kingdom? Be not deceived. Neither paramours, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor catamites, nor sodomites, ¹⁰ nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards; no revilers, no extortioners shall be enjoying the allotment of God's kingdom."

¹⁹ Now apparent are the works of the flesh, which are adultery, prostitution, uncleanness, wantonness, ²⁰ idolatry, enchantment, enmities, strife, jealousies, furies, factions, dissensions, sects, ²¹ envies, murders, drunkennesses, revelries, and the like of these, which, I am predicting to you, according as I predicted also, that those committing such things shall not be enjoying the allotment of the kingdom of God."

¹⁰ paramours, sodomites, kidnapers, liars, perjurers, and if any other thing is opposing sound teaching,

⁴ May matrimony be honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, for paramours and adulterers will God be judging."

⁴ Adulterers and adulteresses! Are you not aware that the friendship of this world is enmity with God? Whosoever, then should intend to be a friend of the world is constituted an enemy of God."

⁵ And he builds altars to all the host of the heavens in the two courts of the house of Yahweh.

⁷ And he places the graven image of the idol that he made in the house of Elohim, of which Elohim said unto David, and unto Solomon his son, `In this house, and in Jerusalem that I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I put My name to the eon,

¹⁴ Also, all the heads of the priests, and the people, having multiplied to commit a trespass according to all the abominations of the nations, and they defile the house of Yahweh that He has sanctified in Jerusalem.

¹³ For from their least unto their greatest, Every one is gaining dishonest gain, And from prophet even unto priest, Every one is dealing falsely,

¹⁰ And you have come in and stood before Me, In this house on which My name is called, And have said, `We have been delivered,' In order to do all these abominations." ¹¹ A den of burglars has this house, On which My name is called, been in your eyes? Even I, lo, I have seen, an affirmation of Yahweh."

³⁰ For the sons of Judah Have done the evil thing in Mine eyes, An affirmation of Yahweh, They have set their abominations in the house On which My name is called--to defile it,

¹⁰ Therefore, I give their wives to others, Their fields to dispossessors, For from the least even unto the greatest, Every one is gaining dishonest gain, From prophet even unto priest, every one is dealing falsely."

¹⁵ What--to My beloved in My house, Her doing wickedness with many, And the holy flesh do pass over from you? When you do evil, then you exult."

¹⁵ Therefore, thus said Yahweh of Hosts, concerning the prophets:Lo, I am causing them to eat wormwood, And have caused them to drink water of gall, For, from prophets of Jerusalem Has profanity gone forth to all the land."

³⁴ `And they set their abominations in the house over which My name is called, so as to defile it;"

²⁰ As to the beauty of his ornament, For excellency He set it, And the images of their abominations, Their detestable things--they made in it, Therefore I have given it to them for impurity,

⁵ And He said unto me, `Son of man, lift up, I pray you, your eyes the way of the north.' And I lift up mine eyes the way of the north, and lo, on the north of the gate of the altar this figure of jealousy, at the entrance." <sup>6</sup> And He said unto me, `Son of man, are you seeing what they are doing? the great abominations that the house of Israel are doing here, to keep far off from My sanctuary; and again you do turn, you do see great abominations.'"

¹¹ and seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel--and Jaazaniah son of Shaphan standing in their midst--are standing before them, and each his censer in his hand, and the abundance of the cloud of perfume is going up."

¹⁶ And He brings me in unto the inner court of the house of Yahweh, and lo, at the opening of the temple of Yahweh, between the porch and the altar, about twenty-five men, their backs toward the temple of Yahweh, and their faces eastward, and they are bowing themselves eastward to the sun."

²⁵ A conspiracy of its prophets [is] in its midst, as a roaring lion tearing prey; The soul they have devoured, Wealth and glory they have taken, Its widows have multiplied in its midst." ²⁶ Its priests have wronged My law, And they pollute My holy things, Between holy and common they have not made separation, And between the unclean and the clean they have not made known, And from my sabbaths they have hidden their eyes, And I am pierced in their midst."

³⁹ And in their slaughtering their sons to their idols They also come in unto My sanctuary in that day to pollute it, And lo, thus they have done in the midst of My house,

⁴ Her prophets are ebullient, treacherous mortals; her priests profane the holy place; they wrong the law."

¹² And Jesus entered into the sanctuary and cast out all those selling and buying in the sanctuary, and the tables of the brokers He overturns, and the seats of those selling doves." ¹³ And He is saying to them, "It is written, 'My house a house of prayer shall be called,' yet you are making it a burglars' cave."

¹⁸ They shall thrust him from light into darkness, And they shall chase him from the habitance.

⁶ Let their way become dark and slick surfaced, With a messenger of Yahweh pursuing them."

¹⁸ Surely You shall set them down in slippery places; You will cast them into ruinations.

¹⁹ The way of the wicked is like gloom; They do not know at what they stumble.

²² and beneath to the earth it will look, then behold! Distress and darkness, faintness of constraint, and the gloom of expulsion!"

²³ And they have no remnant, For I bring evil unto the men of Anathoth, The year of their inspection!'"

¹⁶ Give you to Yahweh your Elohim honor, Before He does cause darkness, And before your feet stumble on dark mountains, And you have waited for light, And He has made it for death-shade, And has appointed [it] for thick darkness."

⁴⁴ Whoso is fleeing because of the fear falls into the snare, And whoso is coming up from the snare is captured by the gin, For I bring in unto her--unto Moab--The year of their inspection, An affirmation of Yahweh."

²⁷ Slay all her kine, they go down to slaughter, Woe [is] on them, for come has their day, The time of their inspection."

³⁵ Jesus, then, said to them, "Still a little time the light is among you. Be walking while you have the light, lest the darkness may be overtaking you. And he who is walking in the darkness is not aware whither he is going."

¹¹ Yet he who is hating his brother is in darkness and in darkness is walking, and is not aware whither he is going, for the darkness blinds his eyes."

¹³ wild billows of the sea, frothing forth their own shame; straying stars, for whom the gloom of darkness has been kept for an eon."

¹⁸ And he said, `I have not troubled Israel, but you and the house of your father, in your forsaking the commands of Yahweh, and you go after the Baalim;" <sup>19</sup> and now, send, gather unto me all Israel, unto the mount of Carmel, and the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the shrine, four hundred--eating at the table of Jezebel.. <sup>20</sup> And Ahab sends among all the sons of Israel, and gathers the prophets unto the mount of Carmel;" <sup>21</sup> and Elijah comes nigh unto all the people, and said, `Till when are you leaping on the two branches? --if Yahweh [is] Elohim, go after Him; and if Baal, go after him;' and the people have not answered him a word.

²⁵ And Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, `Choose for you the one bullock, and prepare first, for you [are] the multitude, and call you in the name of your elohim, and place no fire.. <sup>26</sup> And they take the bullock that [one] gave to them, and prepare, and call in the name of Baal from the morning even till the noon, saying, `O Baal, answer us!' and there is no voice, and there is none answering; and they leap on the altar that one had made. ²⁷ And it comes to pass, at noon, that Elijah plays on them, and said, `Call with a loud voice, for he [is] an elohim, for he is meditating, or pursuing, or on a journey; it may be he is asleep, an does awake.. ²⁸ And they call with a loud voice, and cut themselves, according to their ordinance, with swords and with spears, till a flowing of blood [is] on them;"

⁴⁰ And Elijah said to them, `Catch you the prophets of Baal; let not a man escape of them;' and they catch them, and Elijah brings them down unto the stream Kishon, and does slaughter them there.

⁹ And Manasseh makes Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to err, to do evil above the nations that Yahweh destroyed from the presence of the sons of Israel.

¹⁶ And they are coming to make this people happy, leading them astray, and those being made happy will be swallowed up."

⁷ The days of visitation shall come; the days of repayment shall come, and Israel shall know it. The prophet is foolish; the man of the spirit is mad on account of the multitude of your depravity, and the vast grudging." ⁸ The watchman of Ephraim was with my Elohim. The prophet is a snare, a trap in all his ways, a grudging in the house of his Elohim."

¹³ Now the mortals of Sodom are evil and sinners against Yahweh Elohim exceedingly.

²⁰ And saying is Yahweh, "Seeing that the outcry of Sodom and Gomorrah is much, and that their sin is exceedingly heavy,

³² For their vine is from the vine of Sodom and from the terraces of Gomorrah; their grapes are grapes of poison, and the clusters are bitterness to them;"

⁹ Unless Yahweh of hosts reserves for us a few survivors, as Sodom would we become, and to Gomorrah would we be likened." ¹⁰ Hear the word of Yahweh, captains of Sodom! Give ear to the law of Elohim, you people of Gomorrah!"

⁶ Each man is helping his associate, and to his brother is he saying, `Courage!'" <sup>7</sup> And the artificer is encouraging the refiner, the apportioner with the sledge, the hammerer on the anvil. One says of the soldering, `It is good!' And one is fortifying it with nails that it will not slip."

³⁰ An astonishing and horrible thing has been in the land. ³¹ The prophets have prophesied falsely, And the priests bear rule by their means, And My people have loved [it] so, And what do they at its latter end?

¹⁴ And Yahweh said unto me:Falsehood the prophets are prophesying in My name, I did not send them, nor command them, Nor have I spoken unto them:A false vision, and divination, and vanity, And the deceit of their own heart, they are prophesying to you."

¹³ Therefore, thus said Yahweh:Ask, I pray you, among the nations, Who has heard like these? A very horrible thing has the virgin of Israel done."

¹⁶ Then has that man been as the cities, That Yahweh overthrew, and repented not, And he has heard a cry at morning, And a shout at time of noon."

¹⁷ Saying diligently to those despising The word of Yahweh:Peace is for you, And [to] every one walking in the stubbornness of his heart they have said:Evil does not come in unto you."

²⁵ I have heard that which the prophets said, Who prophesy in My name falsehood, saying, `I have dreamed, I have dreamed.'" ²⁶ Till when is it in the heart of the prophets? The prophets of falsehood, Yea, prophets of the deceit of their heart,

³² Lo, I [am] against the prophets of false dreams, An affirmation of Yahweh, And they recount them, and cause my people to err, By their falsehoods, and by their instability, And I--I have not sent them, Nor have I commanded them, And they are not at all profitable to this people, An affirmation of Yahweh."

²³ Because that they have done folly in Israel, and commit adultery with the wives of their neighbors, and speak a word in My name falsely that I have not commanded them, and I [am] He who knows and a witness--an affirmation of Yahweh."

² `Son of man, prophesy concerning the prophets of Israel who are prophesying, and you have said to those prophesying from their own heart:Hear you a word of Yahweh:" ³ Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Woe unto the prophets who are foolish, Who are going after their own spirit, And they have seen nothing." ⁴ As foxes in the wastes, Your prophets, O Israel, have been."

¹⁶ The prophets of Israel who are prophesying concerning Jerusalem, And who are seeing for her a vision of peace, And there is no peace, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh."

²² Because of paining the heart of the righteous with falsehood, And I have not pained it, And strengthening the hands of the wicked, So as not to turn back from his evil way, To keep him alive, ²³ Therefore, vanity you do not see, And divination you do not divine again, And I have delivered My people out of your hand, And you have known that I [am] Yahweh!'"

⁴⁶ And your elder sister [is] Samaria, she and her daughters, Who is dwelling at your left hand, And your younger sister, who is dwelling on your right hand, [is] Sodom and her daughters." ⁴⁷ And--in their ways you have not walked, And according to their abominations done, As a little thing it has been loathed, And you do more corruptly than they in all your ways." ⁴⁸ I live--an affirmation of the Lord Yahweh, Sodom your sister has not done--she and her daughters--As you have done--you and your daughters." ⁴⁹ Lo, this has been the iniquity of Sodom your sister, Arrogancy, fulness of bread, and quiet ease, Have been to her and to her daughters, And the hand of the afflicted and needy She has not strengthened." ⁵⁰ And they are haughty and do abomination before Me, And I turn them aside when I have seen." ⁵¹ As to Samaria, as the half of your sins--she has not sinned, And you do multiply your abominations more than they, And do justify your sisters by all your abominations that you have done." ⁵² You also--bear your shame, That you have adjudged to your sisters, Because of your sins that you have done more abominably than they, They are more righteous than you, And you, also, be ashamed and bear your shame, In your justifying your sisters."

²⁵ A conspiracy of its prophets [is] in its midst, as a roaring lion tearing prey; The soul they have devoured, Wealth and glory they have taken, Its widows have multiplied in its midst."

¹¹ her heads are judging for a bribe, and her priests are directing for a price, and her prophets are divining for money, and on Yahweh they are leaning, saying:Is not Yahweh within us? Evil shall not come on us."

¹ The load of the word of Yahweh to Israel by the hand of Malachi.

²⁴ Moreover, I am saying to you that for the land of Sodom shall it be more tolerable in the day of judging than for you."

⁹ whose presence is in accord with the operation of Satan, with all power and signs and false miracles" ¹⁰ and with every seduction of injustice among those who are perishing, because they do not receive the love of the truth for their salvation." ¹¹ And therefore God will be sending them an operation of deception, for them to believe the falsehood,

² in the hypocrisy of false expressions, their own conscience having been cauterized;"

¹ Yet there came to be false prophets also among the people, as among you also there will be false teachers who will be smuggling in destructive sects, even disowning the Owner Who buys them, bringing on themselves swift destruction." ² And many will be following out their wantonness, because of whom the glory of the truth will be calumniated,

⁶ and condemns the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, reducing them to cinders by an overthrow, having placed them as an example for those about to be irreverent:"

¹⁴ having the distended eyes of an adulteress, and that do not stop from sin, luring unstable souls, having a heart exercised by greed, children of a curse." ¹⁵ Leaving the straight path, they were led astray, following out the path of Balaam of Beor, who loves the wages of injustice, ¹⁶ yet was exposed for his own outlawry. A voiceless yoke-beast, uttering with a human voice, forbids the insanity of the prophet." ¹⁷ These are waterless springs, and mists driven by a storm, for whom the gloom of darkness has been kept." ¹⁸ For, uttering pompous vanity, they are luring by the lusts of the flesh, in wantonness, those who are scarcely fleeing from those who are behaving with deception;" ¹⁹ promising them freedom, they are inherently slaves of corruption; for by whom anyone is discomfited, to this one he has been enslaved also."

⁷ As Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities about them in like manner to these committing ultra-prostitution, and coming away after other flesh, are lying before us, a specimen, experiencing the justice of fire eonian."

⁸ And their corpses will be at the square of the great city which, spiritually, is being called Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord, also, was crucified."

²⁰ And the wild beast is arrested, and with it the false prophet who does the signs in its sight, by which he deceives those getting the emblem of the wild beast, and those worshiping its image. Living, the two were cast into the lake of fire burning with sulphur."

⁸ Yet the timid, and unbelievers, and the abominable, and murderers, and paramours, and enchanters, and idolaters, and all the false-their part is in the lake burning with fire and sulphur, which is the second death."

¹⁵ Outside are curs, and enchanters, and paramours, and murderers, and idolaters, and everyone fabricating and fondling falsehood."

²¹ They give me poison in my repast, And for my thirst they cause me to drink vinegar."

¹⁴ Wherefore are we sitting still? Be gathered, and we go in to the fenced cities, And we are silent there, For Yahweh our Elohim has made us silent, Yea, He causes us to drink water of gall, For we have sinned against Yahweh."

¹⁵ Therefore, thus said Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel:Lo, I am causing them--this people--to eat wormwood, And I have caused them to drink water of gall,

⁵ He builds against me and encompasses me with destitution and stress;

¹⁹ Remember my humiliation and my homelessness, the wormwood and poison;"

³⁴ they give Him wine mixed with bile to drink. And, tasting, He does not want to drink."

¹¹ And the name of the star is said to be Absinth. And a third of the waters became absinth, and many of mankind died of the waters, seeing that they were made bitter."

¹⁵ and reject His statutes and His covenant that He made with their fathers, and His testimonies that He testified against them, and go after the vain thing, and become vain, and after the nations that are round about them, of whom Yahweh commanded them not to do like them;"

²⁷ My son, desist from hearing admonition That causes to err, away from the sayings of knowledge."

⁵ Thus said Yahweh:What--have your fathers found in Me perversity, That they have gone far off from Me, And go after the vanity, and become vain,

²⁰ But hear, you women, a word of Yahweh, And your ear receives a word of His mouth, And teach you your daughters wailing, and each her neighbor lamentation."

²¹ I have not sent the prophets, and they have run, I have not spoken unto them, and they have prophesied."

²⁶ Till when is it in the heart of the prophets? The prophets of falsehood, Yea, prophets of the deceit of their heart,

⁹ `And you, you do not hearken unto your prophets, and unto your diviners, and unto your dreamers, and unto your observers of clouds, and unto your sorcerers who are speaking unto you, saying, You do not serve the king of Babylon, --" ¹⁰ For falsehood they are prophesying to you, so as to remove you far from off your ground, and I have driven you out, and you have perished."

¹⁴ `And you do not hearken unto the words of the prophets who are speaking unto you, saying, You do not serve the king of Babylon, --for falsehood they are prophesying to you." <sup>15</sup> For I have not sent them--an affirmation of Yahweh--and they are prophesying in My name falsely, so as to drive you out, and you have perished, you, and the prophets who are prophesying to you.'" <sup>16</sup> And unto the priests, and unto all this people, I have spoken, saying, `Thus said Yahweh, You do not hearken unto the words of your prophets, who are prophesying to you, saying, Lo, the vessels of the house of Yahweh are brought back from Babylon now in haste, for falsehood they are prophesying to you." ¹⁷ You do not hearken unto them, serve the king of Babylon, and live. Why is this city a waste?

⁸ `For thus said Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel, Let not your prophets who [are] in your midst, and your diviners, lift you up, nor hearken you unto their dreams, that you are causing [them] to dream;"

⁶ They have seen vanity, and lying divination, Who are saying:An affirmation of Yahweh, And Yahweh has not sent them, And they have hoped to establish a word."

²³ Therefore, vanity you do not see, And divination you do not divine again, And I have delivered My people out of your hand, And you have known that I [am] Yahweh!'"

²⁸ And its prophets have daubed for them with chalk, Seeing a vain thing, and divining for them a lie, Saying, `Thus said the Lord Yahweh:' And Yahweh has not spoken."

¹¹ Suppose a man, going by a spirit and falsehood, lies, saying:I will stutter to you for wine and for intoxicant; then he becomes the stutterer for this people!"

¹⁵ Take heed of those false prophets who are coming to you in the apparel of sheep, yet inside they are rapacious wolves."

²¹ because, knowing God, not as God do they glorify or thank Him, but vain were they made in their reasonings, and darkened is their unintelligent heart."

¹³ For such are false apostles, fraudulent workers, being transfigured into apostles of Christ. " ¹⁴ And no marvel, for Satan himself is being transfigured into a messenger of light. " ¹⁵ It is no great thing, then, if his servants also are being transfigured as dispensers of righteousness - whose consummation shall be according to their acts. "

⁸ But if ever we also, or a messenger out of heaven, should be bringing an evangel to you beside that which we bring to you, let him be anathema!" ⁹ As we have declared before and at present I am saying again, if anyone is bringing you an evangel beside that which you accepted, let him be anathema!"

¹ Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see if they are of God, for many false prophets have come out into the world."

²⁰ Unto a month of days shall you eat until it comes forth from your nostrils and becomes odious to you because you rejected Yahweh Who is among you and lamented before Him, saying:Why is this that we came forth from Egypt?

¹⁹ And it will come to be when he hears the words of this imprecation that he will bless himself in his heart, saying:I shall come to have peace, though I am going in the obduracy of my own heart, seeing that the satiated may be swept up with the thirsty.

³⁰ `Therefore--the affirmation of Yahweh, Elohim of Israel--I certainly said, Your house and the house of your father, do walk up and down before Me to the eon; and now--the affirmation of Yahweh--Far be it from Me! for he who is honoring Me, I honor, and those despising Me, are lightly esteemed.

¹⁰ `And now, the sword does not turn aside from your house unto the eon, because you have despised Me, and do take the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be to you for a wife;"

¹⁰ Say to the righteous that good is his portion, for the fruit of their actions are they eating." ¹¹ Alack to the wicked one; evil is his portion, for the requital of his hands is returning to him."

²¹ No peace,says Yahweh, my Elohim, "is there for the wicked."

¹⁷ At that time they cry to Jerusalem, `O throne of Yahweh,' And gathered unto her has been all the nations, For the name of Yahweh, to Jerusalem, Nor do they go any more after the stubbornness of their evil heart."

¹⁰ And I say, `Ah, Lord Yahweh, Surely you have entirely forgotten this people and Jerusalem, saying, Peace is for you, And struck has a sword unto the soul!'"

¹² They have lied against Yahweh, And they say, `[It is] not He, Nor come in against us does evil, Yea, sword and famine we do not see."

¹⁴ And they heal the breach of the daughter of my people slightly, Saying, `Peace, peace!' and there is no peace."

²⁴ And they have not hearkened, nor inclined their ear, And they walk in the counsels, In the stubbornness, of their evil heart, And are for backward, and not for forward."

¹¹ And they heal the breach of the daughter of my people slightly, Saying, Peace, peace! and there is no peace."

¹⁴ And they walk after the stubbornness of their heart, And after the Baalim, that their fathers taught them,

¹⁰ This evil people, who refuse to hear My words, Who walk in the stubbornness of their heart, And go after other elohims to serve them, And to bow themselves to them, Yea it is--as this girdle, that is not profitable for anything."

¹³ And I say, `Ah, Lord Yahweh, Lo, the prophets are saying to them:You do not see a sword, yea, famine is not to you, For true peace I give to you in this place.'" ¹⁴ And Yahweh said unto me:Falsehood the prophets are prophesying in My name, I did not send them, nor command them, Nor have I spoken unto them:A false vision, and divination, and vanity, And the deceit of their own heart, they are prophesying to you."

¹⁸ And they say, Come, And we devise against Jeremiah devices, For law does not perish from the priest, Nor counsel from the wise, Nor the word from the prophet, Come, and we smite him with the tongue, And we do not attend to any of his words."

³ Within two years of days I am bringing back unto this place all the vessels of the house of Yahweh that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has taken from this place, and does carry to Babylon, ⁴ And Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and all the removed of Judah, who are entering Babylon, I am bringing back unto this place--an affirmation of Yahweh; for I do break the yoke of the king of Babylon.'" ⁵ And Jeremiah the prophet said unto Hananiah the prophet, before the eyes of the priests, and before the eyes of all the people who are standing in the house of Yahweh, ⁶ Yea, Jeremiah the prophet said, `Amen! so may Yahweh do; Yahweh establish your words that you have prophesied, to bring back the vessels of the house of Yahweh and all the removal from Babylon, unto this place." <sup>7</sup> `Only, hear, I pray you, this word that I am speaking in your ears, and in the ears of all the people." ⁸ The prophets who have been before me, and before you, from of old, even they prophesy concerning many lands, and concerning great kingdoms, of battle, and of evil, and of pestilence." ⁹ The prophet who does prophesy of peace--by the coming in of the word of the prophet, known is the prophet that Yahweh has truly sent him.'"

¹⁴ Your prophets envision for you futility and trumpery, And they do not expose your depravity to reverse your captivity, But they are envisioning for you loads of futility and false inducements."

¹⁰ Because, even because, they did cause My people to err, Saying, Peace! and there is no peace, And that one is building a wall, And lo, they are daubing it with chalk."

¹⁵ And I have completed My wrath on the wall, And on those daubing it with chalk, And I say to you:The wall is not, And those daubing it are not;" ¹⁶ The prophets of Israel who are prophesying concerning Jerusalem, And who are seeing for her a vision of peace, And there is no peace, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh."

²² Because of paining the heart of the righteous with falsehood, And I have not pained it, And strengthening the hands of the wicked, So as not to turn back from his evil way, To keep him alive,

¹⁰ By the sword shall die all the sinners of My people, those saying, the evil shall not come close, nor forestall about us."

⁵ Thus says Yahweh concerning the prophets who are leading My people astray, who are biting with their teeth yet call, Peace, and whoever is giving nothing, into their mouths, then they hallow a war against him."

¹² It comes at that season I will search Jerusalem with lamps, and I visit evil on the mortals who are curdled on their lees, those saying in their heart, Yahweh will not do good, nor will He do evil."

² For the household gods speak lawlessness, and the diviners perceive a falsehood, and dreams of futility are they speaking; with vanity they are comforting. Therefore they decamp just as a flock; they are humbled, for there is no grazing."

⁶ A son will glorify a father, and a servant his lord. Yet if a Father am I, where is My glory? And if a Lord am I, where is My fear? says Yahweh of hosts to you, the priests who are despising My name. Yet you say, In what way do we despise Your name?

¹⁶ He who is hearing you is hearing Me. And he who is repudiating you is repudiating Me. Yet he who is repudiating Me is repudiating Him Who commissions Me."

⁸ Surely, in consequence, then, he who is repudiating is not repudiating man, but God, Who is also giving His holy spirit to you."

²⁴ And Zedekiah son of Chenaanah draws nigh, and smites Micaiah on the cheek, and said, `Where [is] this--he has passed over--the Spirit of Yahweh--from me to speak with you?.

²³ And Zedekiah son of Chenaanah comes nigh, and smites Micaiah on the cheek, and said, `Where [is] this--the way the Spirit of Yahweh passed over from me to speak with you?.

⁸ Do you hear the deliberation of Eloah, Or do you hold a monopoly for yourself on wisdom? ⁹ What do you know that we do not know, Or understand, and it is not with us? ¹⁰ Moreover, among us are the greyhaired and hoary-headed, More abundant in days than your father.

¹⁴ The intimacy of Yahweh is for those fearing Him, And His covenant, to give them knowledge."

¹³ Who regulates the spirit of Yahweh, and which man is informing Him of His counsel? ¹⁴ Whom does He consult? And who is explaining things to Him, and is teaching Him, in judgment's path? And who is teaching Him knowledge, and the way of understanding is informing Him? Or, who has given to Him first and will be repaid by Him?

²² But--if they stood in My counsel, Then they cause My people to hear My words, And they turn them back from their evil way, And from the evil of their doings."

⁷ For my Lord Yahweh is not doing a thing save He reveals His deliberation to His servants, the prophets."

¹⁵ No longer am I terming you slaves, for the slave is not aware what his lord is doing. Yet I have declared you friends, for all that I hear from My Father I make known to you."

¹⁶ For who knew the mind of the Lord? Who will be deducing from Him? Yet we have the mind of Christ.

⁹ Ere their pots could detect the boxthorn fire, Like a thistle, like a prickly acanthus, He shall toss him away in a tempest."

²⁷ When alarm comes upon you like a tumult, And calamity, it arrives upon you like a sweeping whirlwind, When distress and constraint come upon you."

²⁵ Like the passing sweeping whirlwind, the wicked one is not remaining, Yet the righteous one is founded for the eon."

²⁵ Therefore the anger of Yahweh of hosts is hot among His people, and He is stretching out His hand over them, and smiting them. And disturbed are the chiefs, and their carcasses are becoming as sweepings within the streets. In all this His anger does not reverse, and His hand is outstretched still." ²⁶ And He lifts up a banner for nations from afar, and He hisses for one from the outmost part of the earth, and, behold! Hastily, fleetly is it coming." ²⁷ None is faint and none is stumbling in it. None is slumbering nor sleeping, nor is opened the belt of his loins, nor is pulled away the lacing of his sandals;" ²⁸ whose arrows are whetted, and all their bows are bent. The hoofs of his horses as rock are reckoned, and his chariot wheels as a sweeping whirlwind."

¹ LOAD OF THE WILDERNESSES As sweeping whirlwinds in the south rim pass on, from the wilderness coming, from a fearful land,

²⁴ Indeed, they wilt when planted; indeed, they wilt when sown; indeed, a root will wilt in the earth as their set-slip. And, moreover, a breeze blows on them, and they are drying. And a tempest, as straw, is bearing them away."

¹⁵ For, behold! Yahweh shall come with fire! And as a sweeping whirlwind are His chariots, to return with fury, His anger, and His rebuke in blazes of fire." ¹⁶ For with fire Yahweh shall come to judge the entire earth, and by His sword all flesh; and multitudinous are the wounded of Yahweh!"

¹¹ At that time it is said of this people, And of Jerusalem:`A dry wind of high places in the wilderness,' The way of the daughter of My people, (Not for winnowing, nor for cleansing,)"

³² Thus said Yahweh of Hosts:Lo, evil is going out from nation to nation, And a great whirlwind is stirred up from the sides of the earth."

²³ Lo, a whirlwind of Yahweh--Fury has gone forth--a cutting whirlwind, On the head of the wicked it stays."

¹⁴ I will ravage with a fire into the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour her citadels, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of a sweeping whirlwind,

³ Yahweh is slow to anger, and great in vigor, and verily He will not make innocent. Yahweh has His way in the sweeping whirlwind and in the horror, and a cloud is the dust of His feet." ⁴ He is rebuking the sea, and is drying it, and all the streams He drains. Enfeebled is Bashan and Carmel, and the bud of Lebanon is enfeebled." ⁵ The mountains quake because of Him, and the hills dissolve. The earth is upheaving because of His presence, and the habitance and all dwelling in it." ⁶ Before His menace, who will stand? And who will rise in the heat of His anger? His fury is poured forth as fire, and the rocks are broken down because of Him."

¹⁴ Then Yahweh shall appear over them, and His arrow shall fare forth as a flash. And my Lord Yahweh shall blow with a trumpet, and He goes with tempests of the south."

¹ And calling is Jacob to his sons and saying, "Gather, and I will tell you what will meet you in the days hereafter.

²⁹ For I know that after my death you shall bring ruin, yea ruin on yourselves; you will withdraw from the way that I enjoined on you, and the evil visitation will befall you in the latter days, for you shall do the thing that is evil in the eyes of Yahweh so as to provoke Him to vexation by the work of your hands. ³⁰ Then Moses spoke in the ears of the whole assembly of Israel the words of this song until they were finished.

⁴⁷ and they have turned [it] back unto their heart in the land whither they have been taken captive, and have turned back, and made supplication unto You, in the land of their captors, saying, We have sinned and done perversely--we have done wickedly;"

²⁶ Only, Yahweh has not turned back from the fierceness of His great anger with which His anger burned against Judah, because of all the provocations with which Manasseh provoked him,

¹¹ And you have anguish in your latter days When your flesh and your brawn are exhausted, ¹² And you say, How I have hated discipline, And my heart has spurned correction!" ¹³ I have not hearkened to the voice of those directing my instruction, And to those teaching me I have not stretched out my ear;" ¹⁴ Soon I came to be in entire peril In the midst of the assembly and the congregation.

³⁰ There is no wisdom, there is no comprehension, And there is no counsel in confronting Yahweh."

²⁴ Sworn has Yahweh of hosts, saying, "Should it not, as I likened it, so come to be, and as I counseled it, be arising?

¹¹ so shall be My word which shall fare forth from My mouth. It shall not return to Me empty, but rather, it does that which I desire, and prospers in that for which I sent it."

²⁴ The fierceness of the anger of Yahweh Does not turn back till His doing, Yea, till His establishing the devices of His heart, In the latter end of the days we consider it!"

⁶ Yea, My words and My statutes, which you have received, which I instruct, by My spirit, My servants the prophets, did they not overtake your forefathers? And they are turning away and are saying:Just as Yahweh of hosts plans to do to us, as fits our ways and our actions, so He does with us."

¹⁴ For thus says Yahweh of hosts:Just as I planned to do evil to you, when your forefathers made Me wroth, says Yahweh of hosts, and I did not regret, ¹⁵ so I reverse what I planned, in these days to do good to Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah. You must not fear!"

⁸ And I am hearing the voice of Yahweh, saying, "Whom shall I send? And who shall go to this nation?And saying am I, "Behold me! Send me!"

¹⁵ For I have not sent them--an affirmation of Yahweh--and they are prophesying in My name falsely, so as to drive you out, and you have perished, you, and the prophets who are prophesying to you.'"

¹⁵ And Jeremiah the prophet said unto Hananiah the prophet, `Hear, I pray you, O Hananiah; Yahweh has not sent you, and you have caused this people to trust on falsehood."

⁹ For with falsehood they are prophesying to you in My name; I have not sent them, an affirmation of Yahweh."

³¹ `Send unto all the removal, saying, Thus said Yahweh concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite, Because that Shemaiah prophesied to you, and I--I have not sent him, and he does cause you to trust on falsehood,

²¹ Jesus, then, said to them again, "Peace to you! According as the Father has commissioned Me, I also am sending you."

⁴ They, indeed, then, being sent out by the holy spirit, came down into Seleucia. Besides, from thence they sail away to Cyprus."

¹⁵ Yet how should they be heralding if ever they should not be commissioned? According as it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those bringing an evangel of good!

¹⁸ For who has stood in the counsel of Yahweh, And sees and hears His word? Who has regarded My word, and hearkens?

⁵ `Turn back, I pray you, each from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell on the ground that Yahweh has given to you and to your fathers from eon unto eon,

¹⁵ And I send unto you all My servants the prophets, rising early and sending, saying:Turn back, I pray you, each from his evil way, and amend your doings, yea, you do not walk after other elohims, to serve them, and dwell you on the ground that I have given to you and to your fathers; and you have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto Me."

³ if so be the house of Israel do hear all the evil that I am thinking of doing to them, so that they turn back each from is evil way, and I have been propitious to their iniquity, and to their sin.'"

⁷ And you have spoken My words unto them, whether they hear or whether they forbear, for they [are] rebellious."

¹⁷ that there is a word of Yahweh unto me, saying, `Son of man, a watchman I have given you to the house of Israel, and you have heard from My mouth a word, and have warned them from Me."

³⁰ Therefore, each according to his ways I judge you, O house of Israel? An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh, Turn you back, yea, turn yourselves back, From all your transgressions, And iniquity is not to you for a stumbling-block,

⁴ You must not become as your forefathers, to whom the former prophets called saying, Thus says Yahweh of hosts:Return, I pray, from your evil ways, and from your evil actions. Yet they hearkened not, and they attended not to Me, (averring is Yahweh)."

²⁷ for under no circumstances do I shrink from informing you of the entire counsel of God.

¹⁸ to open their eyes, to turn them about from darkness to light and from the authority of Satan to God, for them to get a pardon of sins and an allotment among those who have been hallowed by faith that is in Me.'" ¹⁹ Whence, king Agrippa, I did not become stubborn as to the heavenly apparition, " ²⁰ but first to those in Damascus, besides in Jerusalem also, besides to the entire province of Judea, and to the nations, I reported that they are to be repenting and turning back to God, engaging acts worthy of repentance."

⁹ for they are reporting concerning us, what kind of an entrance we have had to you, and how you turn back to God from idols, to be slaving for the living and true God, ¹⁰ and to be waiting for His Son out of the heavens, Whom He rouses from among the dead, Jesus, our Rescuer out of the coming indignation."

⁶ Consequently, then, we may not be drowsing, even as the rest, but we may be watching and be sober."

²³ And the servants of the king of Aram said unto him, `Elohims of hills [are] their elohims, therefore they were stronger than we; and yet, we fight with them in the plain--are we not stronger than they?

²⁸ And there comes nigh a man of Elohim, and speaks unto the king of Israel, and said, `Thus said Yahweh, Because that the Arameans have said, Elohim of hills [is] Yahweh, and He [is] not Elohim of valleys--I have given the whole of this great multitude into your hand, and you have known that I [am] Yahweh..

⁵ Who is like Yahweh our Elohim, The One elevated in His dwelling,

¹ {A Davidic Psalm{ O Yahweh, You have investigated me and are knowing me;" ² You Yourself know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought from afar; ³ My path and my pallet You have measured off, And for all my ways You have made provision." ⁴ For though there be no declaration on my tongue, Behold, O Yahweh, You know it all." ⁵ Back and front, You have besieged me, And You set Your palm upon me." ⁶ Such knowledge is marvelous beyond me; It is impregnable; I cannot reach to it. ⁷ Whither could I go from Your spirit, And whither could I run away from Your presence? ⁸ If I should climb to the heavens, You are there, And should I make my berth in the unseen, behold, You are there." ⁹ Should I wear the wings of dawn, Should I tabernacle in the hindmost sea, ¹⁰ Even there Your hand would guide me, And Your right hand, it would hold me."

³² And that which is going up on your mind, It is not at all--in that you are saying:We will be as the nations, as the families of the lands, To serve wood and stone." ³³ I live--an affirmation of the Lord Yahweh, Do not I, with a strong hand, And with a stretched-out arm, And with fury poured out--rule over you? ³⁴ And I have brought you forth from the peoples, And assembled you from the lands In which you have been scattered, With a strong hand and with a stretched-out arm, And with fury poured out." ³⁵ And I have brought you in unto the wilderness of the peoples, And have been judged with you there face to face."

³ Yet Jonah is rising to run away to Tharshish from before Yahweh, and is going down to Joppa. And he is finding a ship coming in for Tharshish. And he is giving its fare, and is going down into it to come with them to Tharshish, away from before Yahweh." ⁴ Then Yahweh casts forth a great wind to the sea, and a great tempest is coming on the sea, and the ship reckons to be broken."

¹³ And calling is Hagar the name of Yahweh Who spoke to her, "You-El-see me.For she says, "Moreover, hither see I, after my seeing?

²⁷ But, is it true? --Elohim dwells on the earth! lo, the heavens, and the heavens of the heavens do not contain You, how much less this house which I have builded!"

⁶ and who does retain strength to build to Him a house, for the heavens, even the heavens of the heavens, do not contain Him? and who [am] I that I do build to Him a house, except to make perfume before Him?

¹⁸ (for is it true? --Elohim dwells with man on the earth! Lo, the heavens, and the heavens of the heavens, do not contain You, how much less this house that I have built?.

¹³ Yet you say, What does El know? Can He judge through murkiness? ¹⁴ Thick clouds are a concealment for Him, so that He cannot see, And He walks about the circle of the heavens.

¹³ They are among those revolting against the light; They neither recognize its ways Nor dwell in its tracks. ¹⁴ When the light is gone the murderer arises; He dispatches the humble and needy one; And in the night he becomes stealthy as a thief. ¹⁵ The eye of the adulterer keeps watch for the gloaming, Saying, No eye can regard me; And he places a concealment over his face. ¹⁶ In the darkness he burrows into houses; By day they seal themselves up; They do not know the light.

¹¹ He says in his heart, El has forgotten; He has concealed His face; He will not see at all, permanently.

⁸ You have set our depravities in front of You, Our obscured deeds in the full light of Your face."

⁷ Whither could I go from Your spirit, And whither could I run away from Your presence?

¹¹ If I said, Surely darkness, it snuffed me up, And night is belted about me, ¹² Even darkness, it is not darkening to You, And the night, as the day, is giving light; Darkness is as light." ¹³ For You Yourself achieved the making of my innermost being; You overshadowed me in my mother's belly. ¹⁴ I shall acclaim You, for You are fearfully distinguished; Marvelous are Your works. You have known my soul very thoroughly;" ¹⁵ My skeleton was not suppressed from You, When I was made in concealment; I was woven together as in the nether parts of the earth." ¹⁶ Your eyes saw my embryo, And my days, all of them were written upon Your scroll; The days were formed When there was not one of them."

¹³ May they praise the Name of Yahweh, For an Impregnable Retreat is His Name, His alone; His splendor is over the earth and heavens;"

³ The eyes of Yahweh are in every place, Keeping watch on the evil and the good ones."

¹⁵ Woe to those digging deep, to conceal counsel from Yahweh, and it comes that their doings are in darkness. And saying are they, `Who sees us?' And `Who knows us?'"

¹⁵ For thus says Yahweh, high and lifted up, who tabernacles the future, and holy is His name:"In the high and holy place am I tabernacling, and with the crushed and lowly spirit, to preserve alive the spirit of the lowly, and to preserve alive the heart of the crushed."

¹ Thus says Yahweh, "The heavens are My throne, and the earth is My footstool. Where is this house which you are building for Me? And where is this place of My rest?

¹⁰ For I--I have made Esau bare, I have uncovered his secret places, And to be hidden he is not able, Spoiled [is] his seed, and his brethren, And his neighbors, and he is not."

¹² And He said unto me, `Have you seen, son of man, that which elders of the house of Israel are doing in darkness, each in the inner chambers of his imagery, for they are saying, Yahweh is not seeing us, Yahweh has forsaken the land?'"

⁹ And He said unto me, `The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah [is] very very great, and the land is full of blood, and the city has been full of perverseness, for they have said:Yahweh has forsaken the land, and Yahweh is not seeing."

³⁵ All abiding on the earth are reckoned as naught:According to His will is He doing in the army of the heavens and with those abiding on the earth. And no one will actually clap with his hands and say to Him, "What doest Thou?

² If they are burrowing into the unseen, thence My hand will take them. And if they are ascending to the heavens, thence will I bring them down." ³ And if they are hiding in the summit of Carmel, thence will I search and take them. And if they are concealed from in front of My eyes on the floor of the sea, thence will I instruct the serpent, and it will bite them."

²³ which is His body, the complement of the One completing the all in all."

⁵ And dreaming is Joseph a dream. And telling it is he to his brothers. And continuing further are they in their hatred of him.

⁹ And dreaming is he still another dream. And relating is he it to his father and to his brothers, and is saying, "Behold! I dream a further dream. And behold! The sun and the moon and the eleven stars are prostrating to me.

⁶ He said:Oh hear My words. If there were a prophet among you, I, Yahweh, in an appearance shall make Myself known to him; in a dream shall I speak to him.

² You Yourself know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought from afar;

⁴ For though there be no declaration on my tongue, Behold, O Yahweh, You know it all."

⁶ I have given attention, yea, I hearken, They do not speak right, No man has repented of his wickedness, Saying, What have I done? Every one has turned to his courses, As a horse is rushing into battle."

²⁷ Your adulteries, and your neighings, The wickedness of your whoredom, on heights in a field, I have seen your abominations. Woe to you, O Jerusalem, You are not cleansed, after when [is it] again?

¹⁷ For Mine eyes [are] upon all their ways, They have not been hidden from My face, Nor has their iniquity been concealed from before Mine eyes."

²⁸ The prophet with whom [is] a dream, Let him recount the dream, And he with whom [is] My word, Let him truly speak My word. What--to the straw with the corn? An affirmation of Yahweh."

²⁸ And it comes afterward, I shall pour out My spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your elders shall dream dreams, your chosen ones shall see visions."

²⁰ Now at his brooding over these things, lo! a messenger of the Lord appeared to him in a trance, saying, "Joseph, son of David, you may not be afraid to accept Miriam, your wife, for that which is being generated in her is of holy spirit.

³ because whatever you say in the darkness shall be heard in the light, and what you speak in the ear in the storerooms shall be heralded on the housetops."

⁵ So that, be not judging anything before the season, till the Lord should be coming, Who will also illuminate the hidden things of darkness and manifest the counsels of the hearts. And then applause will be coming to each one from God."

¹³ And there is not a creature which is not apparent in its sight. Now all is naked and bare to the eyes of Him to Whom we are accountable.

²³ And her children shall I be killing with death, and all the ecclesias shall know that I an He Who is searching the kidneys and hearts. And I will be giving to each of you in accord with your acts."

² Sons of man, how long, turning my glory into mortification, Shall you love empty words and seek after a lie? {Interlude{ "

¹⁰ who say to the seers, "You shall not direct us!And to the vision seers, "You shall not perceive correctives for us! Speak to us slick things, perceive trifles."

¹⁴ Wash from evil your heart, O Jerusalem, That you may be saved, Till when do you lodge in your heart Thoughts of your strength?

⁹ Crooked [is] the heart above all things, And it [is] incurable--who does know it?

⁵ Cast off your calf, Samaria! Hot is My anger against them. Till when are they being incapable of innocency?

¹⁰ said, "O, full of all guile and all knavery, son of the Adversary, enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the straight ways of the Lord?

¹ Now the spirit is saying explicitly, that in subsequent eras some will be withdrawing from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and the teachings of demons, ² in the hypocrisy of false expressions, their own conscience having been cauterized;" ³ For the era will be when they will not tolerate sound teaching, but, their hearing being tickled, they will heap up for themselves teachers in accord with their own desires, "

¹³ being requited with the wages of injustice. Deeming gratification by day a luxury, they are spots and flaws, luxuriating in their love feasts, carousing together with you, ¹⁴ having the distended eyes of an adulteress, and that do not stop from sin, luring unstable souls, having a heart exercised by greed, children of a curse." ¹⁵ Leaving the straight path, they were led astray, following out the path of Balaam of Beor, who loves the wages of injustice, ¹⁶ yet was exposed for his own outlawry. A voiceless yoke-beast, uttering with a human voice, forbids the insanity of the prophet."

¹ In case there arises a prophet or a dreamer of dreams among you, and he gives to you a sign or a miracle, ² and the sign or the miracle comes about, of which he spoke to you, saying:Let us go after other elohim (whom you have not known), and let us serve them, ³ you shall not hearken to the words of that prophet or to that dreamer of dreams because Yahweh your Elohim is probing you to know whether you are loving Yahweh your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul. ⁴ After Yahweh your Elohim shall you go, and Him shall you fear; His instructions shall you observe, and to His voice shall you hearken; Him shall you serve, and to Him shall you cling. ⁵ Then that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death because he spoke of defection from Yahweh your Elohim (the One bringing you forth from the country of Egypt and the One ransoming you from the house of servants) so as to induce you from the way in which Yahweh your Elohim has instructed you to walk. Hence eradicate the evil from among you.

⁷ and the sons of Israel do the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh, and forget Yahweh their Elohim, and serve the Baalim and the shrines.

³³ And it comes to pass, when Gideon [is] dead, that the sons of Israel turn back and go a-whoring after the Baalim, and set over them Baal-Berith for an elohim;" ³⁴ and the sons of Israel have not remembered Yahweh their Elohim, who is delivering them out of the hand of all their enemies round about,

⁶ And the sons of Israel add to do the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh, and serve the Baalim, and Ashtaroth, and the elohims of Aram, and the elohims of Zidon, and the elohims of Moab, and the elohims of the Bene-Ammon, and the elohims of the Philistines, and forsake Yahweh, and have not served Him;"

³ and he turns and builds the high places that Hezekiah his father destroyed, and raises altars for Baal, and makes a shrine, as did Ahab king of Israel, and bows himself to all the host of the heavens, and serves them.

⁸ Now Elymas, the "Magician(for thus is his name construed), withstood them, seeking to pervert the proconsul from the faith."

¹⁷ and their word will spread as gangrene, of whom are Hymeneus and Philetus, ¹⁸ who swerve as to truth, saying that the resurrection has already occurred, and are subverting the faith of some."

⁶ These, also, shun. For of these are those who are slipping into homes and are leading into captivity little women, heaped with sins, being led by various lusts and gratifications, ⁷ always learning and yet not at any time able to come into a realization of the truth. ⁸ Now, by the method by which Jannes and Jambres withstand Moses, thus these also are withstanding the truth, men of a depraved mind, disqualified as to the faith."

⁵ A faithful witness does not lie, Yet a false witness breathes out lies."

⁴⁵ Who, consequently, is the faithful and prudent slave whom the lord places over his household to give them nourishment in season?

⁴² And the Lord said, "Who, consequently, is the faithful and prudent administrator, whom the lord will be placing over his attendance, to be giving them the measure of grain in season.?

¹² Now if anyone is building on this foundation gold and silver, precious stones, wood, grass, straw, ¹³ each one's work will become apparent, for the day will make it evident, for it is being revealed by fire. And the fire, it will be testing each one's work - what kind it is."

² Here, furthermore, it is being sought in administrators that any such may be found faithful."

¹⁷ For we are not as the majority, who are peddling the word of God, but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God in Christ, are we speaking."

¹² Grateful am I to Him Who invigorates me, Christ Jesus, our Lord, for He deems me faithful, assigning me a service,

¹⁴ Therefore, thus said Yahweh, Elohim of Hosts, Because of your speaking this word, Lo, I am making My words in your mouth become fire, And this people wood, and it has devoured them."

⁹ And I said, `I do not mention Him, Nor do I speak any more in His name,' And it has been in my heart As a burning fire shut up in my bones, And I have been weary of containing, And I am not able."

³² And they say to one another, "Was not our heart burning in us as He spoke to us on the road and as He opened up to us on the road and as He opened up to us the scriptures?

⁶³ The Spirit is that which is vivifying. The flesh is not benefiting anything. The declarations which I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.

³ And seen by them were dividing tongues as if of fire, and one is seated on each one of them."

³⁷ Now, hearing this, their heart was pricked with compunction. Besides, they said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "What should we be doing, men, brethren?

¹⁶ to these, indeed, an odor of death for death, yet to those an odor of life for life. And for this who is competent?

⁴ For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but powerful to God toward the pulling down of bulwarks; " ⁵ pulling down reckonings and every height elevating itself against the knowledge of God, and leading into captivity every apprehension into the obedience of Christ, "

¹² For the word of God is living and operative, and keen above any two-edged sword, and penetrating up to the parting of soul and spirit, both of the articulations and marrow, and is a judge of the sentiments and thoughts of the heart."

⁵ And if anyone is wanting to injure them, fire is issuing out of their mouth and is devouring their enemies. And if anyone should be wanting to injure them, thus must he be killed."

³ I Myself shall set My face against that man and will cut him off from among his people (for he has given of his seed to Moloch) on account of the defilement of My sanctuary and the profanation of My holy name.

¹⁷ I will set My face against you, and you will be struck down before your enemies; those hating you will hold sway over you, and you will flee even when there is no one pursuing you.

²⁰ But the prophet who shall act arrogantly by speaking a word in My name which I did not instruct him to speak, or who shall speak in the name of other elohim, that prophet must die.

²⁰ Yahweh shall not be willing to pardon him, because then Yahweh's anger and His jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the imprecation that is written in this scroll will lie on him. Yahweh will wipe out his name from under the heavens;"

¹⁶ The face of Yahweh is against those doing evil, To cut off their remembrance from the earth."

¹⁴ And Yahweh said unto me:Falsehood the prophets are prophesying in My name, I did not send them, nor command them, Nor have I spoken unto them:A false vision, and divination, and vanity, And the deceit of their own heart, they are prophesying to you." ¹⁵ Therefore, thus said Yahweh concerning the prophets who are prophesying in My name, and I have not sent them, and they are saying, Sword and famine is not in this land:By sword and by famine are these prophets consumed."

¹¹ `Therefore, thus said Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel:Lo, I am setting my face against you for evil, even to cut off all Judah,

²⁹ `And this [is] to you the sign--an affirmation of Yahweh--that I am seeing after you in this place, so that you know that My words are certainly established against you for evil;"

⁸ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Because you have spoken vanity, and seen a lie, Therefore, lo, I [am] against you, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh."

²⁰ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Lo, I [am] against your pillows, With which you are hunting there the souls of the flourishing, And I have rent them from off your arms, And have sent away the souls that you are hunting, The souls of the flourishing."

⁷ And I have set My face against them, From the fire they have gone forth, And the fire does consume them, And you have known that I [am] Yahweh, In My setting My face against them."

¹² For the eyes of the Lord are on the just And His ears are for their petition, Yet the face of the Lord is on evil doers."

⁵ And the king of Israel gathers the prophets, four hundred men, and said unto them, `Do we go unto Ramoth-Gilead to battle, or do I forbear?' And they say, `Go up, and Elohim does give [it] into the hand of the king..

¹⁰ And Zedekiah son of Chenaanah makes for himself horns of iron, and said, `Thus said Yahweh, <sup>11</sup> With these you do push Aram till you have consumed them.' And all the prophets are prophesying so, saying, `Go up [to] Ramath-Gilead and prosper, and Yahweh has given [it] into the hand of the king.. ¹² And the messenger who has gone to call for Micaiah has spoken unto him, saying, `Lo, the words of the prophets--one mouth--[are] good towards the king, and let, I pray you, your word be like one of theirs:and you have spoken good..

¹⁹ and Yahweh said, Who does entice Ahab king of Israel, and he does go up and fall in Ramoth-Gilead? And this speaker said thus, and that speaker thus. ²⁰ And go out does the spirit, and stand before Yahweh, and said, I do entice him; and Yahweh said unto him, With what? ²¹ and he said, I go out, and have become a spirit of falsehood in the mouth of all his prophets. And He said, You do entice, and also, you are able; go out and do so.

Hence eradicate the evil from among you. ⁶ In case your brother, the son of your father, or the son of your mother or your son or your daughter or the wife of your bosom or your associate who is as your own soul should incite you in concealment, saying:Let us go, and let us serve other elohim (whom you have not known, you or your fathers, ⁷ of the elohim of the peoples who are around you, those near to you or those far from you, from one end of the land to the other end of the land). ⁸ neither shall you comply with him, nor shall you hearken to him; neither shall your eye commiserate over him, nor shall you spare him; and you shall not cover up for him. ⁹ For you shall kill, yea kill him. Your hand shall be among the first against him to put him to death, and the hand of all the people thereafter. ¹⁰ You will stone him with stones so that he dies, for he sought to induce you away from Yahweh your Elohim, the One bringing you forth from the country of Egypt, from the house of servants. ¹¹ Thus all Israel shall hearken and fear, and they shall not again do anything like this evil thing among you. ¹² In case you hear it said of one of your cities which Yahweh your Elohim is giving to you to dwell there, ¹³ that men, sons of decadence, have gone forth from among you and induced the dwellers of their city, saying:Let us go, and let us serve other elohim (whom you have not known), ¹⁴ then you will inquire, investigate and ask diligently. And behold, if the truth of the matter is being established that this abhorrence was done among you, ¹⁵ then you shall smite, yea smite the dwellers of that city with the edge of the sword. Doom it, all those who are in it and its domestic beasts, with the edge of the sword. ¹⁶ All its loot shall you get together to the middle of its square, and you will burn the city with fire and all its loot as a holocaust to Yahweh your Elohim. It will become an eonian barrow; it shall not be built again. ¹⁷ Nothing whatsoever shall cling to your hand from the doomed loot so that Yahweh may turn back from the heat of His anger and be compassionate to you. He will show you compassion and cause you to increase, just as He had sworn to your fathers, ¹⁸ provided that you shall hearken to the voice of Yahweh your Elohim to observe all His instructions which I am enjoining on you today, to do what is upright and good in the eyes of Yahweh your Elohim.

¹² My people--its exactors are clean-gleaners, and the exactors rule among My people. Those making you happy lead you astray, and the way of your paths they confuse."

⁸ Lo, you are trusting for yourselves On the words of falsehood, so as not to profit."

¹⁶ Thus said Yahweh of Hosts:You do not hearken unto the words Of the prophets who are prophesying to you, They are making you vain things, A vision of their own heart they speak, Not from the mouth of Yahweh."

²¹ I have not sent the prophets, and they have run, I have not spoken unto them, and they have prophesied." ²² But--if they stood in My counsel, Then they cause My people to hear My words, And they turn them back from their evil way, And from the evil of their doings."

²⁵ I have heard that which the prophets said, Who prophesy in My name falsehood, saying, `I have dreamed, I have dreamed.'"

¹⁴ `And you do not hearken unto the words of the prophets who are speaking unto you, saying, You do not serve the king of Babylon, --for falsehood they are prophesying to you." <sup>15</sup> For I have not sent them--an affirmation of Yahweh--and they are prophesying in My name falsely, so as to drive you out, and you have perished, you, and the prophets who are prophesying to you.'" <sup>16</sup> And unto the priests, and unto all this people, I have spoken, saying, `Thus said Yahweh, You do not hearken unto the words of your prophets, who are prophesying to you, saying, Lo, the vessels of the house of Yahweh are brought back from Babylon now in haste, for falsehood they are prophesying to you." ¹⁷ You do not hearken unto them, serve the king of Babylon, and live. Why is this city a waste? ¹⁸ `And, if they be prophets, and if a word of Yahweh be with them, let them intercede, I pray you, with Yahweh of Hosts, so that the vessels that are left in the house of Yahweh, and [in] the house of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem, have not gone into Babylon." ¹⁹ For thus said Yahweh of Hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the rest of the vessels that are left in this city, ²⁰ That Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has not taken, in his removing Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon with all the freemen of Judah and Jerusalem, ²¹ Surely thus said Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel, concerning the vessels that are left of the house of Yahweh, and of the house of the king of Judah, and [in] Jerusalem:" ²² To Babylon they are brought, and there they are till the day of My inspecting them--an affirmation of Yahweh; then I have brought them up, and have brought them back unto this place.'"

¹⁵ And Jeremiah the prophet said unto Hananiah the prophet, `Hear, I pray you, O Hananiah; Yahweh has not sent you, and you have caused this people to trust on falsehood." ¹⁶ Therefore thus said Yahweh, Lo, I am casting you from off the face of the ground; this year you die, for apostasy you have spoken concerning Yahweh.'" ¹⁷ And Hananiah the prophet dies in that year, in the seventh month."

²¹ Thus said Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel, concerning Ahab son of Kolaiah, and concerning Zedekiah son of Maaseiah, who are prophesying to you in My name falsehood:Lo, I am giving them into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he has smitten them before your eyes, ²² And taken from them has been a reviling by all the removed of Judah that [are] in Babylon, saying, Yahweh does set you as Zedekiah, and as Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted with fire;" ²³ Because that they have done folly in Israel, and commit adultery with the wives of their neighbors, and speak a word in My name falsely that I have not commanded them, and I [am] He who knows and a witness--an affirmation of Yahweh."

⁷ A vain vision have you not seen, And a lying divination spoken, When you say:An affirmation of Yahweh, And I have not spoken? ⁸ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Because you have spoken vanity, and seen a lie, Therefore, lo, I [am] against you, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh." ⁹ And My hand has been on the prophets, Who are seeing vanity, and who are divining a lie, In the assembly of My people they are not, And in the writing of the house of Israel they are not written, And unto the ground of Israel they come not, And you have known that I [am] the Lord Yahweh." ¹⁰ Because, even because, they did cause My people to err, Saying, Peace! and there is no peace, And that one is building a wall, And lo, they are daubing it with chalk." ¹¹ Say to those daubing with chalk--It falls, There has been an overflowing shower, And you, O hailstones, do fall, And a tempestuous wind does rend, ¹² And lo, fallen has the wall! Does not one say unto you, Where [is] the daubing that you daubed? ¹³ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:I have rent with a tempestuous wind in My fury, And an overflowing shower is in Mine anger, And hailstones in My fury--to consume." ¹⁴ And I have broken down the wall that you daubed with chalk, And have caused it to come unto the earth, And revealed has been its foundation, And it has fallen, And you have been consumed in its midst, And you have known that I [am] Yahweh." ¹⁵ And I have completed My wrath on the wall, And on those daubing it with chalk, And I say to you:The wall is not, And those daubing it are not;" ¹⁶ The prophets of Israel who are prophesying concerning Jerusalem, And who are seeing for her a vision of peace, And there is no peace, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh." ¹⁷ And you, son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people, who are prophesying out of their own heart, and prophesy concerning them, ¹⁸ And you have said:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Woe to those sowing pillows for all joints of the arm, And to those making the kerchiefs For the head of every stature--to hunt souls, The souls do you hunt of My people? And the souls you have do you keep alive?

² And it shall come to be in that day, (averring is Yahweh of hosts), I will cut off the names of grief fetishes from the land, and they shall no longer be remembered. And, moreover, I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass from the land." ³ And it shall come to be, in case a man is prophesying still, then his father and his mother, those generating him, shall say to him, You shall not live, for you speak falsehood in the name of Yahweh. And his father and his mother, those generating him, shall stab him when he prophesies."

¹⁷ Intending this, then, consequently do I not use lightness? Or what I am planning, am I planning according to the flesh, that it may be with me "Yes, yes,and "No, no"?

¹⁷ My anger will grow hot against them on that day, and I will forsake them and conceal My face from them; then they will come to be devoured, and many evils and distresses will find them. Then they will say on that day:Is it not because our Elohim is not among us that these evils have found us? ¹⁸ Yet I shall conceal, yea conceal My face from them on that day on account of all the evil which they will have done, for they will have turned around to other elohim.

¹⁹ Yahweh saw and spurned them because of the vexation caused by His sons and His daughters. ²⁰ And he said:Let Me conceal My face from them; I shall examine what their latter days are to be. For they are a wayward generation, sons with no faithfulness in them.

² and he goes out before Asa, and said to him, `Hear, me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; Yahweh [is] with you--in your being with Him, and if you seek Him, He is found of you, and if you forsake Him, He forsakes you;"

⁵⁹ Elohim heard, and He was enraged, And He utterly rejected Israel." ⁶⁰ Then He abandoned the tabernacle of Shiloh, The tent He had made to tabernacle among humanity."

¹ LOAD OF BABYLON which was perceived by Isaiah, the son of Amoz:"

²⁸ LOAD OF PHILISTIA In the year of the death of King Ahaz came this load:

⁷ I have forsaken My house, I have left Mine inheritance, I have given the beloved of My soul Into the hand of her enemies."

¹⁵ Lo, they are saying unto me:`Where [is] the word of Yahweh? pray, let it come.'"

⁷ You have persuaded me, O Yahweh, and I am persuaded; You have hardened me, and do prevail, I have been for a laughter all the day, Every one is mocking at me, ⁸ Because from the time I speak I cry out, `Violence and destruction,' I cry, For the word of Yahweh has been to me For reproach and for derision all the day."

³⁹ Therefore, lo, I--I have taken you utterly away, And I have sent you out, And the city that I gave to you, And to your fathers, from before My face, ⁴⁰ And I have put on you reproach eonian, And shame eonian that is not forgotten!"

¹² For, if they are bringing up their sons, then will I bereave them of a human, for, moreover, woe to them when My control is away from them!"

³ And it shall come to be, in case a man is prophesying still, then his father and his mother, those generating him, shall say to him, You shall not live, for you speak falsehood in the name of Yahweh. And his father and his mother, those generating him, shall stab him when he prophesies."

³⁴ And they do not teach any more Each his neighbor, and each his brother, Saying, Know you Yahweh, For they all know Me, from their least unto their greatest, An affirmation of Yahweh; For I pardon their iniquity, And of their sin I make mention no more."

³ Call unto Me, and I do answer you, yea, I declare to you great and fenced things--you have not known them."

⁴ And Jeremiah the prophet said unto them, `I have heard:lo, I am praying unto Yahweh your Elohim according to your words, and it has come to pass, the whole word that Yahweh answers you, I declare to you--I do not withhold from you a word.'"

¹¹ And by no means should each be teaching his fellow citizen, And each his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord!' For all shall be acquainted with Me, From their little to their great,

²⁶ For who is there of all flesh that has heard the voice of the living Elohim speaking from the midst of the fire as we have, and he still lives?

²⁶ And David speaks unto the men who are standing by him, saying, `What is done to the man who smites this Philistine, and has turned aside reproach from Israel? for who [is] this uncircumcised Philistine that he has reproached the ranks of the living Elohim?.

³⁶ Both the lion and the bear has your servant smitten, and this uncircumcised Philistine has been as one of them, for he has reproached the ranks of the living Elohim..

⁴ `It may be Yahweh your Elohim does hear all the words of the chief of the butlers with which the king of Asshur his lord has sent him to reproach the living Elohim, and has decided concerning the words that Yahweh your Elohim has heard, and you have lifted up prayer for the remnant that is found..

³ May Yahweh cut off all lips of slick words, The tongue speaking great things.

⁸ And they shall stumble by it:their own tongue against them. All seeing them shall bolt away,

³ What shall He give to you, And what more shall He add for you, Deceitful tongue?

⁹ To execute the written judgment against them, This is the honor of all His benign ones. Praise Yah."

²⁰ A perverse heart does not find good, And he who is devious in his tongue falls into evil."

⁸ For faltered has Jerusalem, and Judah falls, for their tongue is offensive, and their actions against Yahweh are defiant, therefore, now, humbled is their glory."

¹³ when the word of Yahweh Elohim comes to them. Instruction is added to instruction, instruction to instruction, expectation to expectation, expectation to expectation, a bit there, a bit there, that they may go and stumble back, and be broken, and be trapped, and be seized." ¹⁴ Wherefore, hear the word of Yahweh, mocking mortals, proverb quoters of this people who are in Jerusalem."

²² And now, you must not be mocking, lest your bonds should hold fast, for a conclusive and decisive matter I hear from my Lord, Yahweh of hosts, which He will do over the entire land."

¹⁰ And Yahweh [is] an Elohim of truth, He [is] a living Elohim, and a king eonian, From His wrath shake does the earth, And nations endure not His indignation."

³⁶ Now I am saying to you that, for every idle declaration which men shall be speaking, they shall be rendering an account concerning it in the day of judging."

²² Now he is saying to him, 'Out of your mouth will I judge you, wicked slave! You were aware that I am a harsh man, picking up what I do not lay down and reaping what I do not sow."

¹⁵ and saying, "Men! Why are you doing these things? We also are men, of like emotions as you, bringing the evangel to you to turn you back from these vain things to the living God, Who makes heaven and the earth and the sea and all that is in them,

⁷ which is not another, except it be that some who are disturbing you want also to distort the evangel of Christ."

⁵ for each one shall be bearing his own load.

⁹ for they are reporting concerning us, what kind of an entrance we have had to you, and how you turn back to God from idols, to be slaving for the living and true God,

¹⁷ These are waterless springs, and mists driven by a storm, for whom the gloom of darkness has been kept." ¹⁸ For, uttering pompous vanity, they are luring by the lusts of the flesh, in wantonness, those who are scarcely fleeing from those who are behaving with deception;"

¹⁶ as also in all the epistles, speaking in them concerning these things, in which are some things hard to apprehend, which the unlearned and unstable are twisting, as the rest of the scriptures also, to their own destruction."

¹⁵ to do judging against all, and to expose all the irreverent concerning all their irreverent acts in which they are irreverent, and concerning all the hard words which irreverent sinners speak against Him." ¹⁶ These are murmurers, complainers, going according to their desires, and their mouth is speaking pompous things, marveling at the aspect of things, on behalf of benefit."

¹³ And the priests, and the Levites, that [are] in all Israel, have stationed themselves by him, out of all their border, ¹⁴ for the Levites have left their suburbs and their possession, and they come to Judah and to Jerusalem, for Jeroboam and his sons have cast them off from acting as priests to Yahweh,

¹⁷ And I, behold Me bringing a deluge of water over the earth to wreck all flesh, which has in it the spirit of the living, from under the heavens. All that is in the earth shall expire.

²⁸ then I will go contrary to you in fury. And I Myself, indeed, will discipline you sevenfold for your sins.

³⁹ See now that I, I am He, and there is no other elohim besides Me. I Myself put to death, and I keep alive; I have transfixed, and I Myself shall heal, and there is no one who could reclaim from My hand!"

¹¹ O do not fling me from Your presence, And do not take Your holy spirit from me."

¹³ He who despises the word is held pledged to its terms, Yet he who fears the law's instruction, he shall fare well."

¹⁵ I, yea I, I speak. Indeed, I call him. I bring him, and I prosper his way."

¹² I, I am He, your Comforter. Who are you, that you are fearing a mortal who is dying, and a son of Adam who as grass is drying?

¹⁵ And I have cast you from before My face, As I have cast out all your brethren, The whole seed of Ephraim."

³³ And when this people, or the prophet, Or a priest, does ask you, saying, What [is] the burden of Yahweh? Then you have said unto them:You [are] the burden, and I have left you, An affirmation of Yahweh."

²⁸ `Therefore, thus said Yahweh, Lo, I am giving this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he has captured it;" <sup>29</sup> And come in have the Chaldeans who are fighting against this city, and they have set this city on fire, and have burned it, and the houses on whose roofs they made perfume to Baal, and poured out libations to other elohims, so as to provoke Me to anger." <sup>30</sup> For the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah have been only doing evil in Mine eyes, from their youth; for the sons of Israel are only provoking Me with the work of their hands--an affirmation of Yahweh." <sup>31</sup> `For a cause of Mine anger, and a cause of My fury, has this city been to Me, even from the day that they built it, and unto this day--to turn it aside from before My face, ³² Because of all the evil of the sons of Israel, and of the sons of Judah that they have done, so as to provoke Me--they, their kings, their heads, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem." ³³ And they turn unto Me the neck, and not the face, and teaching them, rising early and teaching, and they are not hearkening to accept instruction." ³⁴ `And they set their abominations in the house over which My name is called, so as to defile it;" ³⁵ And they build the high places of Baal, that [are] in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through to Molech, which I did not command them, nor did it come up on my heart to do this abomination, so as to cause Judah to sin."

¹⁷ therefore thus said Yahweh, Elohim of Hosts, Elohim of Israel:Lo, I am bringing in unto Judah, and unto all inhabitants of Jerusalem, all the evil that I have spoken against them, because I have spoken unto them, and they have not hearkened, yea, I call to them, and they have not answered.'"

³¹ and I have charged on him, and on his seed, and on his servants, their iniquity; and I have brought in on them, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto the men of Judah, all the evil that I have spoken unto them, and they hearkened not.'"

³ for, because of the anger of Yahweh, it has been in Jerusalem and Judah till He has cast them from before His face, and Zedekiah does rebel against the king of Babylon."

²⁰ Why are You forgetting us so permanently, forsaking us for length of days?

⁸ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Lo, I [am] against you, even I, And I have done in your midst judgments, Before the eyes of the nations."

³ And you have said:Mountains of Israel, Hear you a word of the Lord Yahweh:Thus said the Lord Yahweh To the mountains, and to the hills, To the streams, and to the valleys, Lo, I, I am bringing in against you a sword, And I have destroyed your high places."

¹⁸ And I also deal in fury, Mine eye does not pity, nor do I spare, and they have cried in Mine ears--a loud voice--and I do not hear them.'"

¹¹ For thus said the Lord Yahweh:Lo, I--even I, have required My flock, And I have sought it out."

²⁰ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh to them:Lo, I--even I, have judged between fat sheep and lean sheep."

⁶ My people shall be stilled because of failing knowledge, seeing that you reject knowledge. Then I am rejecting you from being a priest for Me, and as you are forgetting the law of your Elohim, I will forget your sons--even I."

¹⁴ for I will be as a black lion to Ephraim, and as a sheltered lion to the house of Judah. I, I, will tear to pieces and go and carry off, and there is no rescuing."

¹² For, if they are bringing up their sons, then will I bereave them of a human, for, moreover, woe to them when My control is away from them!" ¹³ Ephraim, just as I see as to Tyre, is transplanted into a homestead, yet Ephraim shall bring forth his sons to the killer." ¹⁴ Give to them, Yahweh! What wilt You give? Give to them a bereaving womb and shrivelling breasts." ¹⁵ All their evil is in Gilgal, for there I hated them. On account of the evil of their actions, from My house will I drive them out. I will continue to love them. All their chiefs are stubborn." ¹⁶ Smitten is Ephraim. Their root is dry; fruit shall they fail to yield. Moreover, in case they shall generate, then I will put to death the coveted ones of their belly." ¹⁷ My Elohim will reject them, for they did not hearken to Him. And they shall become wanderers among the nations."

⁴¹ Then shall He be declaring to those also at His left, 'Go from Me, you cursed, into the fire eonian, made ready for the Adversary and his messengers."

⁹ who shall incur the justice of eonian extermination from the face of the Lord, and from the glory of His strength"

³⁷ You will become an object of astonishment, a proverb and a byword among all the peoples where Yahweh shall lead you.

¹¹ And Yahweh [is] with me, as a terrible mighty one, Therefore my persecutors stumble and prevail not, They have been exceedingly ashamed, For they have not acted wisely, Confusion eonian is not forgotten."

⁹ And I have given them for a trembling, For evil--to all kingdoms of the earth, For a reproach, and for a simile, For a byword, and for a reviling, In all the places whither I drive them."

¹⁸ for thus said Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel:As poured out has been Mine anger and My fury on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so poured out is My fury upon you in your entering Egypt, and you have been for an execration, and for an astonishment, and for a reviling, and for a reproach, and you do not see any more this place."

⁸ by provoking Me to anger by the works of your hands, by making perfume to other elohims in the land of Egypt, whither you are going in to sojourn, so as to cut yourselves off, and so as to your being for a reviling and for a reproach among all nations of the earth? ⁹ `Have you forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, and the wickedness of the kings of Judah, and the wickedness of their wives, and your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, that they have done in the land of Judah, and in streets of Jerusalem? <sup>10</sup> They have not been humbled unto this day, nor have they been afraid, nor have they walked in My law, and in My statutes, that I have set before you and before your fathers." <sup>11</sup> `Therefore, thus said Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel:Lo, I am setting my face against you for evil, even to cut off all Judah, ¹² and I have taken the remnant of Judah, who have set their faces to enter the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they have all been consumed in the land of Egypt; they fall by sword, by famine they are consumed, from the least even unto the greatest, by sword and by famine they die, and they have been for an execration, for an astonishment, and for a reviling, and for a reproach."

¹⁴ And I give you for a waste, And for a reproach among nations that [are] round about you, Before the eyes of every passer by." ¹⁵ And it has been a reproach and a reviling, An instruction and an astonishment, To nations that [are] round about you, In My doing in you judgments, In anger and fury, and in furious reproofs, I, Yahweh, have spoken."

¹⁶ My Lord, according to all Thy righteousness, pray, let Thy anger and Thy fury turn away from Thy city Jerusalem, Thy holy mountain. Because of our sins and depravities--ours and our forefathers--Jerusalem and Thy people, Lord, are a reproach to all around us."

² From those sleeping in the soil of the ground many shall awake, these to eonian life and these to reproach for eonian repulsion."

⁷ According to their multitude, so they sin against Me; their glory into dishonor will I change;"
