²³ `Because that you have made perfume, and because you have sinned against Yahweh, and have not hearkened to the voice of Yahweh, and in His law, and in His statutes, and in His testimonies you have not walked, therefore has this evil met you as [at] this day.'"

⁹ and they have said, Because that they have forsaken Yahweh their Elohim, who brought out their fathers from the land of Egypt, and they lay hold on other elohims, and bow themselves to them, and serve them; therefore has Yahweh brought in upon them all this evil..

¹⁶ and they are mocking at the messengers of Elohim, and despising His words, and acting deceitfully with His prophets, till the going up of the fury of Yahweh against His people--till there is no healing.

¹⁸ Thus did not your fathers do? and our Elohim brings in on us all this evil, and on this city, and you are adding fierceness on Israel, to pollute the sabbath..

⁵⁶ Yet they probed and defied Elohim, the Supreme, And they did not keep His testimonies."

¹⁵⁰ Those persecuting me draw near with evil scheme; They are far from Your law.

¹⁵⁵ Far from the wicked is salvation, For they do not seek after Your statutes."

¹³ And now, because of your doing all these works, An affirmation of Yahweh, And I speak unto you, rising early and speaking, And you have not hearkened, And I call you, and you have not answered, ¹⁴ I also to the house on which My name is called, In which you are trusting, And to the place that I gave to you, and to your fathers, Have done, as I have done to Shiloh." ¹⁵ And I have cast you from before My face, As I have cast out all your brethren, The whole seed of Ephraim."

³¹ `For a cause of Mine anger, and a cause of My fury, has this city been to Me, even from the day that they built it, and unto this day--to turn it aside from before My face, ³² Because of all the evil of the sons of Israel, and of the sons of Judah that they have done, so as to provoke Me--they, their kings, their heads, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem." ³³ And they turn unto Me the neck, and not the face, and teaching them, rising early and teaching, and they are not hearkening to accept instruction."

³ and Yahweh brings [it] in, and does as He spoke, because you have sinned against Yahweh, and have not hearkened to His voice, even this thing has been to you."

⁸ by provoking Me to anger by the works of your hands, by making perfume to other elohims in the land of Egypt, whither you are going in to sojourn, so as to cut yourselves off, and so as to your being for a reviling and for a reproach among all nations of the earth?

¹⁸ `And from the time we have ceased to make perfume to the queen of the heavens, and to pour out to her libations, we have lacked all, and by sword and by famine we have been consumed,

²¹ `The perfume that you made in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, you, and your fathers, your kings, and your heads, and the people of the land, has not Yahweh remembered it? yea, it comes up on His heart."

⁸ A sin has Jerusalem sinned; therefore she has become an isolated woman; All who glorified her count her abject, for they have seen her nakedness; Indeed she herself sighs and turns away back."

¹¹ All Israel--they trespass against Thy law to withdraw so as not to hearken to Thy voice. Hence pouring forth on us is the imprecation and the oath which is written in the law of Moses, the servant of Elohim; for we sin against Him." ¹² Hence He is setting up His words, which He speaks concerning us and concerning our judges who judge us, to bring on us this great evil which is not done under the entire heavens as it is done in Jerusalem."

²⁰ But that that which the nations are sacrificing, they are sacrificing to demons and not to God. Now I do not want you to become participants with the demons."

¹⁶ Now what concurrence has a temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God, according as God said, that I will be making My home and will be walking in them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."
