⁴⁶ And He said to them, "Why are you drowsing? Rise, pray, lest you may be entering into trial."

⁴ Do not grant sleep to your eyes Or slumber to your eyelids; ⁵ Rescue yourself like a gazelle from the hunter, And like a bird from the hand of the trapper." ⁶ Go to the ant, O slothful one; See its ways and be wise;" ⁷ Note that there is no captain for it, Superintendent or ruler;" ⁸ Yet it is preparing its bread in summer; It hoards its food at harvest. ⁹ How long shall you lie down, O slothful one? When shall you rise from your sleep? ¹⁰ A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands, to lie at rest, ¹¹ And your destitution shall come like a wayfarer, And your lack like a man with a shield."

⁶ Yet the navigator is coming near to him, and is saying to him, What is it to you, stupefied one! Rise! Call to your Elohim! Perhaps the Elohim will reconsider as to us, and we will not perish."

³⁴ Now take heed to yourselves, lest at some time your hearts should be burdened with crapulence and drunkenness and the worries of life's affairs, and that day may be standing by you unawares, ³⁵ as a trap, for it will intrude on all those sitting on the surface of the entire earth." ³⁶ Now be vigilant, on every occasion beseeching that you may be prevailing to escape all these things which are about to occur, and to stand in front of the Son of Mankind."

⁴⁰ Now, coming to be at the place, He said to them, "Be praying not to be entering into trial."
