¹ {A Davidic Psalm{ May Yahweh answer you in a day of distress; May the Name of Jacob's Elohim be your impregnable retreat. ² May He send to your help from the Sanctuary, And from Zion, may He brace you." ³ May He remember all your approach presents, And upon your ascent offerings, may He confer richness. {Interlude{ " ⁴ May He give to you according to your heart, And all your counsel, may He fulfill." ⁵ Let us be jubilant in your salvation, And in the Name of Elohim, may we raise a standard. May Yahweh fulfill all your requests." ⁶ Now I know that Yahweh will save His anointed; He shall answer him from His holy heavens By the saving masterful deeds of His right hand. ⁷ These boast in chariots, and those in horses, But as for us, concerning the Name of Yahweh our Elohim, we are ever mindful." ⁸ They, indeed they will bow down and fall, But as for us, we will rise and shall become attested." ⁹ O Yahweh, save the king, And answer us on the day we call. {Permanent{ "

⁴ Abel also is bringing, he, moreover, from the firstlings of his flock, and from their fat. And heed is Yahweh giving to Abel and to his present offering,

²⁷ And saying is He to him, "What is your name?And saying is he, "Jacob. ²⁸ And saying is He to him, "Not Jacob shall your name be called longer, but rather Israel is your name. For upright are you with the Elohim and with mortals, and are prevailing. ²⁹ And asking is Jacob and saying, "Tell me, pray, your name.And saying is He, "Why is this that you are asking for My name?And blessing him is He there.

¹⁵ And blessing them is he and saying, "The Elohim before Whom my forefathers, Abraham and Isaac, walked, the Elohim, my Shepherd from my youth till this day, ¹⁶ the Messenger, my Redeemer from all evil, bless these youths. And called on them shall be my name, and the name of my forefathers, Abraham and Isaac. And prolific shall they be, to make a vast increase within the land.

¹³ Now Moses said to the One, Elohim: Behold! When I am coming to the sons of Israel, and I say to them, The Elohim of your fathers sends me to you, then they will say to me, What about His name? What shall I say to them? ¹⁴ Then Elohim spoke to Moses: I shall come to be just as I am coming to be. And He said: Thus shall you say to the sons of Israel, I-Shall-Come-to-Be has sent me to you. ¹⁵ And Elohim said further to Moses: Thus shall you say to the sons of Israel, Yahweh, the Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Isaac and the Elohim of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name for the eon, and this the remembrance of Me for generation after generation.

¹⁵ So Moses built an altar and called its name Yahweh-nissi

⁵ Then Yahweh descended in a cloud and stationed Himself with him there; and he called the name of Yahweh. ⁶ Now Yahweh passed by before his face and called: Yahweh, Yahweh El, Who is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and with much kindness and truth, ⁷ preserving kindness to thousands, bearing with depravity, transgression and sin, yet He is not immediately making innocent in order to make innocent, but visiting the depravity of the fathers on the sons and on the sons' sons, on the third and on the fourth generation.

²⁴ fire came forth from before Yahweh, and it devoured the ascent offering and the fat portions on the altar. When all the people saw it, they were jubilant and fell on their faces.

³⁵ It came to be whenever the coffer journeyed Moses said:Arise, Yahweh, that Your enemies may scatter and those hating You may flee from Your presence. ³⁶ And whenever it stopped he said:Dwell, Yahweh, with the myriads of Israel's thousands.

³¹ So do all Your enemies perish, O Yahweh, And those loving Him [are] As the going out of the sun in its might!' and the land rests forty years.

¹⁷ And Eli answers and said, `Go in peace, and the Elohim of Israel does give your petition which you have asked of Him..

⁵ And the Philistines have been gathered to fight with Israel; thirty thousand chariots, and six thousand horsemen, and a people as the sand which [is] on the sea-shore for multitude; and they come up and encamp in Michmash, east of Beth-Aven.

⁴⁵ And David said unto the Philistine, `You are coming unto me with sword, and with spear, and with buckler, and I am coming unto you in the name of Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of the ranks of Israel, which you have reproached.

⁷ And David captures the fortress of Zion, it [is] the city of David.

¹⁷ And they bring in the ark of Yahweh, and set it up in its place, in the midst of the tent which David has spread out for it, and David causes to ascend burnt-offerings before Yahweh, and peace-offerings.

⁴ and David captures from him a thousand and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen, and David destroys utterly the whole of the charioteers, only he leaves of them a hundred charioteers.

¹⁸ and Aram flees from the presence of Israel, and David slays of Aram seven hundred charioteers, and forty thousand horsemen, and Shobach head of its host he has smitten, and he dies there.

¹⁶ And he builds the twenty cubits on the sides of the house with ribs of cedar, from the floor unto the walls; and he builds for it within, for the oracle, for the holy of holies.

³⁰ `Then You have hearkened unto the supplication of Your servant, and of Your people Israel, which they pray towards this place; yea, You do hearken in the place of Your dwelling, in the heavens--and You have hearkened, and have forgiven,

⁴³ You do hear in the heavens, the settled place of Your dwelling, and have done according to all that the stranger calls unto You for, in order that all the peoples of the earth may know Your name, to fear You like Your people Israel, and to know that Your name has been called on this house which I have builded. ⁴⁴ `When Your people does go out to battle against its enemy, in the way that You do send them, and they have prayed unto Yahweh the way of the city which you have fixed on, and of the house which I have builded for Your name;" ⁴⁵ then You have heard in the heavens their prayer and their supplication, and have maintained their cause.

²⁶ and David builds there an altar to Yahweh, and offers burnt-offerings and peace-offerings, and calls unto Yahweh, and He answers him with fire from the heavens on the altar of the burnt-offering.

¹ And at Solomon's finishing to pray, then the fire has come down from the heavens, and consumes the burnt-offering and the sacrifices, and the honor of Yahweh has filled the house,

¹⁰ `As for us, Yahweh [is] our Elohim, and we have not forsaken Him, and priests are ministering to Yahweh, sons of Aaron and the Levites, in the work, <sup>11</sup> and are making perfume to Yahweh, burnt-offerings morning by morning, and evening by evening, and perfume of spices, and the arrangement of bread [is] on the pure table, and the candlestick of gold, and its lamps, to burn evening by evening, for we are keeping the charge of Yahweh our Elohim, and you--you have forsaken Him. <sup>12</sup> `And lo, with us--at [our] head--[is] Elohim, and His priests and trumpets of shouting to shout against you; O sons of Israel, do not fight with Yahweh, Elohim of your fathers, for you do not prosper..

¹⁶ And the sons of Israel flee from the face of Judah, and Elohim gives them into their hand,

¹¹ And Asa calls unto Yahweh his Elohim, and said, `Yahweh! it is nothing with You to help, between the mighty and those who have no power; help us, O Yahweh, our Elohim, for on You we have leant, and in Your name we have come against this multitude; O Yahweh, our Elohim you [are]; let him not prevail with You--mortal man!"

⁸ and they dwell in it, and build to You in it a sanctuary for Your name, saying, ⁹ If evil does come upon us--sword, judgment, and pestilence, and famine--we stand before this house, and before You, for Your name [is] in this house, and cry unto You out of our distress, and You do hear and save.

¹² `O our Elohim, do You not execute judgment upon them? for there is no power in us before this great multitude that has come against us, and we know not what we do, but on You [are] our eyes.. <sup>13</sup> And all Judah are standing before Yahweh, also their infants, their wives, and their sons. <sup>14</sup> And upon Jahaziel, son of Zechariah, son of Benaiah, son of Jeiel, son of Mattaniah, the Levite, of the sons of Asaph, has the Spirit of Yahweh been, in the midst of the assembly, <sup>15</sup> and he said, `Attend, all Judah, and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and O king Jehoshaphat, Thus said Yahweh to you, You fear not, nor are afraid of the face of this great multitude, for not for you [is] the battle, but for Elohim. ¹⁶ To-morrow, go you down against them, lo, they are coming up by the ascent of Ziz, and you have found them in the end of the valley, the front of the wilderness of Jeruel. ¹⁷ Not for you to fight in this; station yourselves, stand, and see the salvation of Yahweh with you, O Judah and Jerusalem--be not afraid nor fear you--to-morrow go out before them, and Yahweh [is] with you.. ¹⁸ And Jehoshaphat bows--face to the earth--and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem have fallen before Yahweh, to bow themselves to Yahweh. ¹⁹ And the Levites, of the sons of the Kohathites, and of the sons of the Korhites, rise to give praise to Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, with a loud voice on high. ²⁰ And they rise early in the morning, and go out to the wilderness of Tekoa, and in their going out Jehoshaphat has stood and said, `Hear me, O Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem, remain stedfast in Yahweh your Elohim, and be stedfast; remain stedfast in His prophets, and prosper..

⁸ With him [is] an arm of flesh, and with us [is] Yahweh our Elohim, to help us, and to fight our battles;' and the people are supported by the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.

² The kings of the earth are standing by, And the chancellors are gathered together Against Yahweh and against His Anointed, saying,

⁶ I will pour a libation on My King, On Zion, My holy mountain. ⁷ Let me recount the statute of Yahweh:He has said to Me, My Son are You; I, today, have begotten You. ⁸ Ask of Me, And I will give the nations as Your allotment, And as Your holding, the limits of the earth. ⁹ You shall smash them with a club of iron; Like a vessel of a potter, You shall shatter them. ¹⁰ And now, O kings, be intelligent; Be admonished, all judges of the earth;"

⁴ When I called to Yahweh with my voice, Then He answered me from His holy mountain. {Interlude{ "

⁷ Do arise, O Yahweh! Save me, my Elohim! For You will smite all my enemies on the cheek; You will break the teeth of the wicked.

² Do attend to the sound of my imploring, O my King and my Elohim! For I am praying to You, O Yahweh.

¹⁰ So those knowing Your Name shall trust in You, For You do not forsake those seeking after You, O Yahweh.

¹⁴ That I may recount all Your praises In the gateways of the daughter of Zion; Let me exult in Your salvation.

⁵ Yet as for me, I trust in Your benignity; My heart shall exult in Your salvation;"

⁶ I call upon You, for You shall answer me, O El; Stretch out Your ear to me and hear my word." ⁷ Show the marvel of Your benignities, You Who are saving with Your right hand Those taking refuge from rising foes."

² O Yahweh, my Crag and my Fastness and my Deliverance! My El, my Rock! I take refuge in Him, My Shield and the Horn of my salvation, my Impregnable Retreat!"

³⁵ You gave to me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand, it braced me, And Your help made me great."

⁵⁰ He is the One magnifying the salvations of His king, And showing benignity to His anointed, To David, and to his seed for the eon. {Permanent{ "

⁴ Yet into the entire earth their voice goes forth, And into the ends of the habitance their declarations. For the sun, He has placed a tent in them,

¹ {A Davidic Psalm{ O Yahweh, in Your strength is the king rejoicing, And in Your salvation, how exceedingly is he exulting!" ² The yearning of his heart, You will give to him, And the proposal of his lips You will not withhold at all. {Interlude{ "

⁷ Lift up your heads, O gateways, And be lifted up, O portals eonian, That the King of glory may come in!"

⁸ Yahweh is the Strength of His people, And He is the Stronghold of salvation for His anointed."

¹⁶ The king is not saved by a great army; A master is not rescued by great vigor; ¹⁷ The horse is a false hope for salvation, And by its vast valor it cannot provide escape."

²¹ Evil shall put the wicked to death, And those hating the righteous one shall be found guilty." ²² Yahweh is ransoming the soul of His servants, And all those taking refuge in Him shall not be found guilty."

⁹ Yet my soul, it shall exult in Yahweh; It shall be elated in His salvation."

⁴ Find pleasure in Yahweh, And He shall give you the requests of your heart."

¹ {A Davidic Psalm{ Happy is he who is acting intelligently toward the poor and needy; In a day of peril, Yahweh shall provide his escape."

¹¹ By this I know that You delight in me, For my enemy is not shouting in triumph over me."

⁴ You are He, my King and my Elohim, Who is determining the grand salvation of Jacob."

¹¹ Do grant to us help from distress, For salvation from a human is futile."

¹⁷ Until I am coming to the Grand Sanctuary of El; Then I am understanding what is in their hereafter.

¹² Yet Elohim is my King from aforetime, Who is effecting saving works within the earth."

¹⁸ So that men may realize that You, You, Whose Name is Yahweh, Yours alone, Are the Supreme over all the earth. {Permanent, On the Wine Trough{ "

²⁰ I have found David My servant; With My holy oil have I anointed him, ²¹ With whom My hand shall stand readied; Indeed My arm shall make him resolute. ²² The enemy shall not astrict him, And the son of iniquity shall not humiliate him." ²³ I will pound down his foes before him, And I shall strike against those hating him."

¹⁴ Because he is attached to Me, I shall deliver him; I shall make him impregnable, for he knows My Name." ¹⁵ He shall call on Me, and I shall answer him; I am with him in distress; I shall liberate him and glorify him."

² Judah became His sanctuary, Israel, His dominion."

¹⁵ The sound of jubilant song and salvation Comes from the tents of the righteous:Yahweh's right hand does valiantly;

²⁵ Oh Yahweh, do save us! Oh Yahweh, do prosper us!" ²⁶ Blessed in the Name of Yahweh is he who is coming; We bless you from the House of Yahweh.

¹ {A Song of Ascents{ Those who trust in Yahweh are like Mount Zion which is immovable; It shall dwell securely for the eon.

⁷ If I walk within distress, You revive me; You send forth Your hand against the anger of my enemies, And You save me with Your right hand."

¹⁹ Benevolence for those fearing Him is He providing, And their imploring is He hearing and is saving them."

⁵ Happy is he who has the El of Jacob as his Help; His hopefulness is set on Yahweh his Elohim, ⁶ Maker of the heavens and earth, The sea and all that is in them, The Guardian of truth for the eons;" ⁷ He is the One executing right judgment for those being exploited, The Giver of bread to the famished, Yahweh, letting loose those who are bound, ⁸ Yahweh, unclosing the eyes of the blind, Yahweh, making erect those who are bent down, Yahweh, loving those who are righteous, ⁹ Yahweh, Guardian over the sojourners; The orphan and the widow shall He bolster up, Yet the way of the wicked shall He overturn."

²³ The yearning of the righteous ends only in good, The expectation of the wicked in rage."

¹⁰ The name of Yahweh is a strong tower; The righteous one runs to it and is made impregnable.

³¹ A horse is prepared for the day of battle, Yet the victory belongs to Yahweh."

¹⁰ And there comes, in that day, the Root of Jesse, Who will stand for a Banner of the peoples; of Him will the nations inquire, and His rest will come to be glorious."

¹ And you will say, in that day, "I am acclaiming You, Yahweh, for You wast angry with me, yet reversing is Your anger, and You are comforting me." ² Behold! El is my Salvation. I am trusting in Him and am not afraid. For my Strength and Melody is Yah, Yahweh, and He is becoming mine for salvation." ³ And you will bail water with elation from the springs of salvation.

⁶ Make a noise and be jubilant, dweller of Zion, for great within you is the Holy One of Israel!"

³² And what will they answer, the messengers of a nation? That Yahweh founds Zion, and in it the humble of His people will find refuge."

⁹ And they will say in that day, "Behold! This is Yahweh, our Elohim. We expected Him, and He will save us! This is Yahweh! We expected Him, and we will exult! And we will rejoice in His salvation,

¹⁶ And saying are you, `No. For on horses will we flee,' therefore you shall flee. And `On the fleet will we ride.' Therefore fleet shall be your pursuers."

¹ Woe to those going down to Egypt for help! On horses are they leaning, and trusting in chariots, for they are many, and on horsemen, for they are very staunch. And they do not heed the Holy One of Israel, and of Yahweh Elohim they do not inquire."

³⁴ By the way which he came, by it shall he return. Yet into this city he shall not enter,averring is Yahweh." ³⁵ And I am a protection over this city, to save it on My Own account, and on account of David, My servant."

¹⁰ Who among you fears Yahweh, hearing the voice of His servant? Who goes in darkness, and there is no brightness for him? Is he trusting in the name of Yahweh, and leaning on his Elohim?

¹⁵ For thus says Yahweh, high and lifted up, who tabernacles the future, and holy is His name:"In the high and holy place am I tabernacling, and with the crushed and lowly spirit, to preserve alive the spirit of the lowly, and to preserve alive the heart of the crushed."

⁹ Then you will call, and Yahweh will answer, you will implore, and He will say, "Behold Me!You should take away from your midst the slider bar, and the pointing of the finger and speaking lawlessness,

⁷ All the flocks of Kedar shall be convened to you, and the rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you. They shall ascend with acceptance on My altar, and My house of prayer will I beautify."

¹⁰ With elation will I be elated in Yahweh. My soul shall exult in my Elohim. For he clothes me with the garments of salvation, and in the robe of righteousness will He muffle me, as a bridegroom with a priestly beautiful turban, and as a bride is ornamenting herself with her outfit."

¹⁵ Look from the heavens, and see from the residence of Your holiness and Your beauty. Where is Your zeal and Your mastery? Where is the clamor of Your bowels? And Your compassions toward us, do they check themselves?

⁵ Thus said Yahweh:Cursed [is] the man who does trust in man, And has made flesh his arm, And from Yahweh whose heart turns."

⁷ Blessed [is] the man who trusts in Yahweh, And whose confidence has been Yahweh." ⁸ And has been as a tree planted by waters, And by a rivulet he sends forth his roots, And he does not see when heat comes, And his leaf has been green, And in a year of dearth he is not sorrowful, Nor does he cease from making fruit."

⁷ Woe! for great [is] that day, without any like it, Yea, a time of adversity it [is] to Jacob, Yet out of it he is saved."

⁵ for all the peoples shall go, each man in the name of his elohim, yet we will go in the name of Yahweh our Elohim, for the eon and further."

⁸ You must not rejoice against me, O my enemy. Though I fall, I shall rise. Though I am sitting in darkness, Yahweh shall be light for me."

¹⁸ yet I will joy in Yahweh; I will exult in the Elohim of my salvation.

⁹ Thus, then, you be praying: 'Our Father Who art in the heavens, hallowed be Thy name."

⁹ Now the throngs preceding and following Him cried, saying, "Hosanna to the Son of David! 'Blessed be He Who is coming in the name of the Lord!' Hosanna among the highest!"

¹⁵ Now the chief priests and the scribes, perceiving the marvels which He does, and the boys crying in the sanctuary and saying, "Hosanna to the Son of David!resent it,

²² And all, whatsoever you should be requesting in prayer, believing, you shall be getting."

³⁸ Then He is saying to them, Sorrow-stricken is My soul to death. Remain here and watch with Me." ³⁹ And coming forward a little, He falls on His face, praying and saying, "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass by from Me. However, not as I will, but as Thou!"

⁴⁷ And my spirit exults in God my Saviour,

⁴² Now I was aware that Thou art hearing Me always, but because of the throng standing about I said it, that they should be believing that thou dost commission Me."

²³ And in that day you will not be asking Me anything. "Verily, verily, I am saying to you that whatever you should be requesting the Father, He will be giving it to you in My name."

³³ Being, then, to the right hand of God exalted, besides obtaining the promise of the holy spirit from the Father, He pours out this which you are observing and hearing."

³⁶ Let all the house of Israel know certainly, then, that God makes Him Lord as well as Christ - this Jesus Whom you crucify!"

¹⁰ let it be known to you all and to the entire people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ, the Nazarene, Whom you crucify, Whom God rouses from among the dead, in this name, this man stands by before you sound."

³¹ This Inaugurator and Saviour, God exalts to His right hand, to give repentance to Israel and the pardon of sins."

⁴ Now he, looking intently at him, and becoming affrighted, said, "What is it, lord?Now he said to him, "Your prayers and your alms ascended for a memorial in front of God."

²⁷ Now He Who is searching the hearts is aware what is the disposition of the spirit, for in accord with God is it pleading for the saints." ²⁸ Now we are aware that God is working all together for the good of those who are loving God, who are called according to the purpose"

² and be walking in love, according as Christ also loves you, and gives Himself up for us, an approach present and a sacrifice to God, for a fragrant odor."

⁷ Who, in the days of His flesh, offering both petitions and supplications with strong clamor and tears to Him Who is able to save Him out of death, being hearkened to also for His piety,

⁵ you, also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, into a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, most acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. "

¹⁴ And this is the boldness which we have toward Him, that if we should be requesting anything according to his will, He is hearing us." ¹⁵ And if ever we are aware that He is hearing us, whatever we may be requesting, we are aware that we have the requests which we have requested from Him."
