⁷ These boast in chariots, and those in horses, But as for us, concerning the Name of Yahweh our Elohim, we are ever mindful."

⁵ And the Philistines have been gathered to fight with Israel; thirty thousand chariots, and six thousand horsemen, and a people as the sand which [is] on the sea-shore for multitude; and they come up and encamp in Michmash, east of Beth-Aven.

⁴ and David captures from him a thousand and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen, and David destroys utterly the whole of the charioteers, only he leaves of them a hundred charioteers.

¹⁸ and Aram flees from the presence of Israel, and David slays of Aram seven hundred charioteers, and forty thousand horsemen, and Shobach head of its host he has smitten, and he dies there.

¹⁰ `As for us, Yahweh [is] our Elohim, and we have not forsaken Him, and priests are ministering to Yahweh, sons of Aaron and the Levites, in the work, <sup>11</sup> and are making perfume to Yahweh, burnt-offerings morning by morning, and evening by evening, and perfume of spices, and the arrangement of bread [is] on the pure table, and the candlestick of gold, and its lamps, to burn evening by evening, for we are keeping the charge of Yahweh our Elohim, and you--you have forsaken Him. <sup>12</sup> `And lo, with us--at [our] head--[is] Elohim, and His priests and trumpets of shouting to shout against you; O sons of Israel, do not fight with Yahweh, Elohim of your fathers, for you do not prosper..

¹⁶ And the sons of Israel flee from the face of Judah, and Elohim gives them into their hand,

¹¹ And Asa calls unto Yahweh his Elohim, and said, `Yahweh! it is nothing with You to help, between the mighty and those who have no power; help us, O Yahweh, our Elohim, for on You we have leant, and in Your name we have come against this multitude; O Yahweh, our Elohim you [are]; let him not prevail with You--mortal man!"

¹² `O our Elohim, do You not execute judgment upon them? for there is no power in us before this great multitude that has come against us, and we know not what we do, but on You [are] our eyes.. <sup>13</sup> And all Judah are standing before Yahweh, also their infants, their wives, and their sons. <sup>14</sup> And upon Jahaziel, son of Zechariah, son of Benaiah, son of Jeiel, son of Mattaniah, the Levite, of the sons of Asaph, has the Spirit of Yahweh been, in the midst of the assembly, <sup>15</sup> and he said, `Attend, all Judah, and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and O king Jehoshaphat, Thus said Yahweh to you, You fear not, nor are afraid of the face of this great multitude, for not for you [is] the battle, but for Elohim. ¹⁶ To-morrow, go you down against them, lo, they are coming up by the ascent of Ziz, and you have found them in the end of the valley, the front of the wilderness of Jeruel. ¹⁷ Not for you to fight in this; station yourselves, stand, and see the salvation of Yahweh with you, O Judah and Jerusalem--be not afraid nor fear you--to-morrow go out before them, and Yahweh [is] with you.. ¹⁸ And Jehoshaphat bows--face to the earth--and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem have fallen before Yahweh, to bow themselves to Yahweh. ¹⁹ And the Levites, of the sons of the Kohathites, and of the sons of the Korhites, rise to give praise to Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, with a loud voice on high. ²⁰ And they rise early in the morning, and go out to the wilderness of Tekoa, and in their going out Jehoshaphat has stood and said, `Hear me, O Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem, remain stedfast in Yahweh your Elohim, and be stedfast; remain stedfast in His prophets, and prosper..

⁸ With him [is] an arm of flesh, and with us [is] Yahweh our Elohim, to help us, and to fight our battles;' and the people are supported by the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.

¹⁶ The king is not saved by a great army; A master is not rescued by great vigor; ¹⁷ The horse is a false hope for salvation, And by its vast valor it cannot provide escape."

¹⁷ I will make Your Name remembered in every generation after generation; Therefore the peoples, they shall acclaim You for the eon and further. {Permanent{ "

³¹ A horse is prepared for the day of battle, Yet the victory belongs to Yahweh."

¹⁶ And saying are you, `No. For on horses will we flee,' therefore you shall flee. And `On the fleet will we ride.' Therefore fleet shall be your pursuers."

¹ Woe to those going down to Egypt for help! On horses are they leaning, and trusting in chariots, for they are many, and on horsemen, for they are very staunch. And they do not heed the Holy One of Israel, and of Yahweh Elohim they do not inquire."

⁵ Thus said Yahweh:Cursed [is] the man who does trust in man, And has made flesh his arm, And from Yahweh whose heart turns."
