¹ {An Asaphic Psalm{ O Elohim, the nations have entered Your allotment; They have defiled Your holy Temple; They have turned Jerusalem into rubbish heaps." ² They have given the carcasses of Your servants as food for the flyer of the heavens, The flesh of Your benign ones to the wild animal of the earth." ³ They have poured out their blood like water, around Jerusalem, And there was no one entombing them." ⁴ We have become a reproach to our neighbors, A derision and a scoffing to those round about us." ⁵ How long, O Yahweh? Shall You be angry permanently? How long shall Your jealousy consume like a fire? ⁶ Pour out Your fury on the nations that do not know You, And on kingdoms that do not call on Your Name." ⁷ For they have devoured Jacob, And they have desolated his homestead." ⁸ Do not hold against us the depravities of former generations; Let Your compassions quickly confront us, For we are very impoverished." ⁹ Help us, O Elohim of our salvation, on behalf of the glory of Your Name; Rescue us and make a propitiatory shelter over our sins on account of Your Name." ¹⁰ Why should the nations say, Where is their Elohim? Let it be made known among the nations before our eyes:Vengeance for the shed blood of Your servants." ¹¹ May the groaning of the bound one come before You; According to the greatness of Your arm reserve the sons of death. ¹² Turn back sevenfold to our neighbors, into their bosom, Their reproach with which they reproached You, O Yahweh." ¹³ Then we, Your people and the flock of Your pasture, We shall acclaim You for the eon; For generation after generation we shall recount Your praise. {Permanent{ {Concerning Elations {Anemones{, A Testimony{ "

¹⁷ You shall bring them in and plant them in the mount of Your allotment, the site for Your dwelling which You have contrived, Yahweh, the sanctuary, Yahweh, which Your hands have established.

¹² therefore thus said Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, Lo, I am bringing in evil on Jerusalem and Judah, that whoever hears of it, tingle do his two ears. ¹³ And I have stretched out over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab, and wiped Jerusalem as one wipes the dish--he has wiped, and has turned [it] on its face. ¹⁴ `And I have left the remnant of Mine inheritance, and given them into the hand of their enemies, and they have been for a prey and for a spoil to all their enemies, ¹⁵ because that they have done the evil thing in Mine eyes, and are provoking Me to anger from the day that their fathers came out of Egypt, even unto this day.. ¹⁶ And also, innocent blood has Manasseh shed very much, till that he has filled Jerusalem--mouth to mouth; apart from his sin that he has caused Judah to sin, to do the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh.

¹³ and brings out thence all the treasures of the house of Yahweh, and the treasures of the house of the king, and cuts in pieces all the vessels of gold that Solomon king of Israel made in the temple of Yahweh, as Yahweh had spoken.

⁴ then the city is broken up, and all the men of war [go] by night the way of the gate, between the two walls that [are] by the garden of the king, and the Chaldeans [are] against the city round about, and [the king] goes the way of the plain. ⁵ And the force of the Chaldeans pursue after the king, and overtake him in the plains of Jericho, and all his force have been scattered from him;" ⁶ and they seize the king, and bring him up unto the king of Babylon, to Riblah, and they speak with him--judgment. ⁷ And the sons of Zedekiah they have slaughtered before his eyes, and the eyes of Zedekiah he has blinded, and binds him with brazen fetters, and they bring him to Babylon. ⁸ And in the fifth month, on the seventh of the month (it [is] the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon), has Nebuzaradan chief of the executioners, servant of the king of Babylon, come to Jerusalem, ⁹ and he burns the house of Yahweh, and the house of the king, and all the houses of Jerusalem, yea, every great house he has burned with fire;" ¹⁰ and the walls of Jerusalem round about have all the forces of the Chaldeans, who [are] with the chief of the executioners, broken down.

³ and turn him aside does the king of Egypt in Jerusalem, and fines the land a hundred talents of silver, and a talent of gold;" ⁴ and the king of Egypt causes Eliakim his brother to reign over Judah and Jerusalem, and turns his name to Jehoiakim; and Jehoahaz his brother has Necho taken, and brings him in to Egypt.

⁶ against him has Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon come up, and binds him in brazen fetters to take him away to Babylon. ⁷ And of the vessels of the house of Yahweh has Nebuchadnezzar brought in to Babylon, and puts them in his temple in Babylon.

¹⁷ And He causes to go up against them the king of the Chaldeans, and he slays their chosen ones by the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and has had no pity on young man and virgin, old man and very aged--the whole He has given into his hand.

¹⁹ And they burn the house of Elohim, and break down the wall of Jerusalem, and all its palaces they have burnt with fire, and all its desirable vessels--to destruction.

¹ {Contemplating, Asaphic{ Why, O Elohim, have You cast us off permanently? Shall Your anger smolder long against the flock of Your pasture? ² Remember Your congregation, which You acquired aforetime, Which You redeemed as the tribe of Your allotment, Mount Zion, in which You tabernacled." ³ Do raise up Your footsteps unto the permanent ruinations, All the evil the enemy has done in the Sanctuary." ⁴ Your foes roar within Your appointed place; They set up their ensigns as signs.

⁷ They send up Your Sanctuary in fire; Down to the earth they profane the Tabernacle of Your Name. ⁸ They say in their heart, We shall tyrannize them together; They burn all the appointed places of El in the land."

⁷¹ From following the ewes, He brought him To shepherd Jacob, His people, And Israel, His allotment."

¹² Why have You breached its stone dikes, So that all who are passing by the way nip off its fruit? ¹³ The boar from the wildwood gorges on it, And the field mammal, it grazes upon it."

⁶ I was wroth over My people, and I violated My allotment, and was giving them into your hand, yet you show them no compassion. On the old you make your yoke exceedingly heavy."

¹⁸ `Micah the Morashtite has been prophesying in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and he said unto all the people of Judah, saying:Thus said Yahweh of Hosts:Zion is a plowed field, and Jerusalem is heaps, And the mountain of the house is for high places of a forest."

⁸ And the house of the king, and the house of the people, have the Chaldeans burnt with fire, and the walls of Jerusalem they have broken down."

¹³ and he burns the house of Yahweh, and the house of the king, and all the houses of Jerusalem, even every great house he has burned with fire,

¹⁰ The foe has spread out his hand over all her coveted things; Indeed she has seen the nations enter her sanctuary, Concerning whom You had instructed that they should not enter Your assembly."

²⁰ As to the beauty of his ornament, For excellency He set it, And the images of their abominations, Their detestable things--they made in it, Therefore I have given it to them for impurity, ²¹ And I have given it into the hand of the strangers for a prey, And to the wicked of the land for a spoil, And they have polluted it."

⁷ And they begin among the aged men who [are] before the house, and He said unto them, `Defile the house, and fill the courts with the wounded, go forth.' And they have gone forth and have smitten in the city."

¹² Wherefore, due to you, Zion shall be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become rubbish heaps, and the mountain of the house fane heights of a wildwood."

²⁴ And they shall be falling by the edge of the sword and shall be led into captivity into all nations. And Jerusalem shall be trodden by the nations, until the eras of the nations may be fulfilled."

² And the court outside of the temple cast outside, and you should not be measuring it, for it was given to the nations, and the holy city will they be treading forty-two months."

²⁶ Your carcass will become food for every flyer of the heavens and for the beast of the earth, and there will be no one causing them to tremble.

³³ And the carcase of this people has been for food To a fowl of the heavens, and to a beast of the earth, And there is none troubling."

³ And I have appointed over them four kinds, an affirmation of Yahweh, The sword to slay, and the dogs to drag, And the fowl of the heavens, And the beast of the earth, to consume and to devour."

⁴ Of painful deaths they die, They are not lamented, nor are they buried, For dung on the face of the ground they are, And by sword and by famine are consumed, And their carcase has been for food To the fowl of the heavens, And to the beast of the earth."

⁷ And I have made void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place, and have caused them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hand of those seeking their life, and I have given their carcase for food to the fowl of the heavens, and to the beast of the earth,

²⁰ yea, I have given them into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those seeking their soul, and their carcase has been for food to the fowl of the heavens, and to the beast of the earth."

¹⁰ Why should the nations say, Where is their Elohim? Let it be made known among the nations before our eyes:Vengeance for the shed blood of Your servants."

⁷ As when one is harrowing and rending the earth, So our bones are dispersed at the mouth of the unseen."

¹ At that time, an affirmation of Yahweh, They bring the bones of the kings of Judah, And the bones of its princes, And the bones of the priests, And the bones of the prophets, And the bones of inhabitants of Jerusalem, Out of their graves, ² And have spread them to sun, and to moon, And to all the host of the heavens, that they have loved, And that they have served, And that they have walked after, And that they have sought, And to which they have bowed themselves, They are not gathered, nor buried, They are for dung on the face of the ground."

¹⁶ And the people to whom they are prophesying, Are cast into out-places of Jerusalem, Because of the famine, and of the sword, And they have none burying them, Them, their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, And I have poured out upon them this evil."

³³ And the pierced of Yahweh have been in that day, From the end of the earth even unto the end of the earth, They are not lamented, nor gathered, nor buried, For dung on the face of the ground they are."

³⁵ so that on you should be coming all the just blood shed on the earth, from the blood of just Abel until the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murder between the temple and the altar."

³⁶ According as it is written that "On Thy account we are being put to death the whole day, We are reckoned as sheep for slaughter."

⁹ And those out of the peoples and tribes and languages and nations are observing their corpses three days and a half, and they are not letting their corpses be placed into a tomb."

⁶ for they shed the blood of saints and prophets, and Thou dost give them blood to drink, even what they are deserving!"

⁶ And I perceive the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. And I marvel at perceiving her. The marvel is great!"

²⁴ And in it the blood of prophets and of saints was found, and of all of those slain upon the earth."

³⁷ You will become an object of astonishment, a proverb and a byword among all the peoples where Yahweh shall lead you.

⁷ then I have cut off Israel from the face of the ground that I have given to them, and the house that I have hallowed for My name I send away from My presence, and Israel has been for a simile and for a byword among all the peoples;"

¹⁹ And Sanballat the Horonite hears, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arabian, and they mock at us, and despise us, and say, `What [is] this thing that you are doing? against the king are you rebelling?.

¹ And it comes to pass, when Sanballat has heard that we are building the wall, that it is displeasing to him, and he is very angry and mocks at the Jews, ² and said before his brethren and the force of Samaria, yea, he said, `What [are] the weak Jews doing? are they left to themselves? do they sacrifice? do they complete in a day? do they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish? --and they burnt!. <sup>3</sup> And Tobiah the Ammonite [is] by him and said, `Also, that which they are building--if a fox does go up, then it has broken down their stone wall.. ⁴ Hear, O our Elohim, for we have been despised; and turn back their reproach on their own head, and give them for a spoil in a land of captivity;"

¹³ You constitute us a reproach to our neighbors, A derision and a scoffing to those round about us." ¹⁴ You constitute us a proverbial byword among the nations, A shaking of the head among the national groups."

⁶ You make us a quarrel to our neighbors, And our enemies, they deride us."

⁴¹ All those passing by the way rob him; He has become a reproach to his neighbors.

⁹ And I have given them for a trembling, For evil--to all kingdoms of the earth, For a reproach, and for a simile, For a byword, and for a reviling, In all the places whither I drive them."

¹⁸ Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, And its kings, its heads, To give them to waste, to astonishment, To hissing, and to reviling, as [at] this day."

¹⁸ for thus said Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel:As poured out has been Mine anger and My fury on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so poured out is My fury upon you in your entering Egypt, and you have been for an execration, and for an astonishment, and for a reviling, and for a reproach, and you do not see any more this place."

¹⁵ They slap their palms at you, all who pass your way; They hiss and jerk their head to and fro at the daughter of Jerusalem:Is this the city which they call the consummation of loveliness, the elation of the entire earth? ¹⁶ They open their mouth wide at you, all your enemies; They hiss and gnash their teeth; they say, We have swallowed them up! Yea, this is the day that we expected; we have come upon it and have seen it!"

¹ Remember, O Yahweh, what has happened to us; look, and see our reproach."

¹² And you have known that I--Yahweh, I have heard all your despisings that you have spoken Against mountains of Israel, saying:A desolation, to us they were given for food."

³ therefore, prophesy, and you have said:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Because, even because, of desolating, And of swallowing you up from round about, For your being a possession to the remnant of the nations, And you are taken up on the tip of the tongue, And [are] an evil report of the people."

¹⁵ And I proclaim not unto you any more the shame of the nations, And the reproach of peoples you bear no more, And your nations stumble not any more, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh.'"

¹⁶ My Lord, according to all Thy righteousness, pray, let Thy anger and Thy fury turn away from Thy city Jerusalem, Thy holy mountain. Because of our sins and depravities--ours and our forefathers--Jerusalem and Thy people, Lord, are a reproach to all around us."

²⁰ Yahweh shall not be willing to pardon him, because then Yahweh's anger and His jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the imprecation that is written in this scroll will lie on him. Yahweh will wipe out his name from under the heavens;"

¹⁶ They made Him jealous with alien gods, with abhorrences they provoked Him to vexation.

²² For a fire will be kindled by My anger, and it shall glow unto the unseen beneath; it shall devour the earth and its crop, and it shall set aflame the foundations of the mountains.

¹ {A Davidic Psalm{ How long, O Yahweh? Shall You forget me permanently? How long shall You conceal Your face from me? ² How long shall I set griefs in my soul, With affliction in my heart by day and night? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?

¹ {Contemplating, Asaphic{ Why, O Elohim, have You cast us off permanently? Shall Your anger smolder long against the flock of Your pasture?

⁹ Our signs we cannot see; There is no prophet any more, And not one of us is knowing what is still ahead." ¹⁰ How long, O Elohim, shall the foe reproach? Shall the enemy spurn Your Name permanently?

⁴ O Yahweh Elohim of hosts, How long will You smolder against the prayer of Your people?

⁵ Shall You be angry with us for the eon? Shall You protract Your anger for generation after generation?

⁴⁶ How long, O Yahweh; shall You be concealed permanently? How long shall Your fury consume like fire?

⁹ He shall not contend permanently, And He shall not hold resentment for the eon."

⁹ You must not be wroth with us, Yahweh, unto excess, and You must not, for the future, be remembering our depravity. Behold! Look, pray! Your people are we all."

⁵ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Have I not, in the fire of My jealousy, Spoken against the remnant of the nations, And against Edom--all of it, Who gave My land to themselves for a possession, With the joy of the whole heart--with despite of soul, For the sake of casting it out for a prey?

¹⁸ Who is an El as You are, bearing with depravity, and passing over transgression, for the remnant of His allotment? He does not hold fast His anger for the future. For He delights in kindness."

¹⁸ Moreover, their silver and their gold, will not be able to rescue them in the day of the rage of Yahweh; and by the fire of His jealousy the entire land shall be devoured; for a finish, yea, a hustled one, shall He make of all dwelling in the land."

⁸ Wherefore, tarry for Me, (averring is Yahweh), for the day of My rising to testify, seeing that My judgment is to gather the nations, to convene the kingdoms, to pour out My menace upon them, all the heat of My anger, for, by the fire of My jealousy, the entire earth shall be devoured."

¹⁰ And they cry with a loud voice, saying, "Till when, O Owner, holy and true, art Thou not judging and avenging our blood on those dwelling on the earth?

¹⁶ Yahweh is known by the judgment He executes; The wicked are trapped by the deed of His palms. {Chant, Interlude{ " ¹⁷ The wicked shall return to the unseen, All the nations, forgetful of Elohim.

⁴ Have they no knowledge, all those contrivers of lawlessness, Who are devouring My people as they would devour bread? They do not call upon Yahweh."

⁴ Have they no knowledge, these contrivers of lawlessness, Who are devouring My people as they would devour bread? They do not call upon Elohim."

²⁴ Pour out Your indignation upon them, And let Your hot anger overtake them."

¹⁸ Near is Yahweh to all calling on Him, To all who are calling on Him in truth."

¹ LOAD OF BABYLON which was perceived by Isaiah, the son of Amoz:" ² On a mountain ridge lift up a banner! Raise high the voice to them! Do not fear! Wave a hand! And they shall enter the portals of the patrons. ³ I, I instruct My hallowed. And I call them. Moreover, I call My masters, for My anger, even My joyous and My proud." ⁴ The sound of a throng in the mountains, like many people! The sound of tumult of kingdoms, of nations being gathered! Yahweh of hosts is Musterer of the battle host" ⁵ coming from a land afar, from the end of the heavens, Yahweh and the instruments of His menace, to harm the entire earth." ⁶ Howl! For near is the day of Yahweh! As devastation from Him Who-Suffices shall it come. ⁷ Therefore all hands shall be slack, and every mortal's heart shall melt" ⁸ and be flustered. Throes and cramps shall take hold of them. As a bearing woman shall they travail. A man at his associate shall be amazed, and as a facade of blazes are their faces." ⁹ Behold! The day of Yahweh has come, cruel, with rage and hot anger, to make the entire earth a desolation, and its sinners is He exterminating from it." ¹⁰ For the stars of the heavens are not appearing, and their constellations are not irradiating their light. Dark is the sun in its faring forth, and the moon is not brightening with its light." ¹¹ And I check over all the habitance for its evil, and on the wicked for their depravity. And I eradicate the pomp of the arrogant, and the pride of the terrifiers am I abasing." ¹² More precious am I making the remaining mortal than glittering gold. And a human than certified African gold. ¹³ Therefore the heavens will I disturb, and the earth shall quake from its place, in the furious rage of Yahweh of hosts, and in the day of His hot anger." ¹⁴ And the remainder becomes as a gazelle running away, and as a flock straying with no one to get it together. Each man toward his people shall face, and each man to his land shall flee." ¹⁵ Everyone found shall be stabbed, and everyone gathered up shall fall by the sword." ¹⁶ And their children shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes. Their houses shall be rifled, and their wives ravished." ¹⁷ Behold Me rousing against them the Medes, who are not accounting silver, and gold--they are not delighting in it." ¹⁸ And with bows they are dashing the youths to pieces, and on the fruit of the belly they are not having compassion. And over the sons their eye is not commiserating." ¹⁹ And it comes that Babylon, the stateliest of kingdoms, the beauty, the pomp of the Chaldeans, shall be as the overturning of Sodom and Gomorrah by the Elohim." ²⁰ It shall not be indwelt permanently, nor shall anyone tabernacle there further, for generation after generation, nor shall the Arabian tent there, nor shepherds recline their flocks there." ²¹ Yet the animals of arid spaces will recline there, and their houses will be full of their uproar. And the ostrich will tabernacle there. And hairy creatures will dance there." ²² And falcons will respond in their citadels, and jackals in the delicate palaces. And near to come is her era, and her days shall not be protracted further."

¹ LOAD OF THE WILDERNESSES As sweeping whirlwinds in the south rim pass on, from the wilderness coming, from a fearful land, ² a hard vision is told to me; the treacherous one is treacherous, and the devastator is devastating. Against me is Elam! And against me the agents of Media are coming! Now all sighing through it I cause to cease." ³ Therefore my waist is full with sore travail, and throes hold me as the throes of a bearing woman. I am depraved from hearing, flustered from seeing it." ⁴ My heart has strayed; shuddering frightens me. The soul to which I am attached brings me into trembling. ⁵ Arrange the table! Watch, yea, watch! Eat! Drink! Rise, chiefs! Anoint the shield!" ⁶ For thus says my Lord to me, "Go! Install the watchman. What he shall see, he shall tell." ⁷ For he may see a chariot, a pair of men, horsemen, a rider on an ass, a rider on a camel.And he attends attentively with much attention." ⁸ And he is calling, "I am seeing on the watch, my lord! I am standing continually by day, and I am stationed on my charge all the nights." ⁹ And behold this! Coming is a chariot with men, a pair of horsemen! And he is responding and saying, `Fallen! Fallen is Babylon! And all the carvings and her forbidden idols are broken to the earth.'" ¹⁰ My threshed people! And the son of my threshing site! What I hear from Yahweh of hosts, the Elohim of Israel, I tell to you." ¹¹ LOAD OF DUME For me is a call from the gate, "Guard! What of the night? Guard! What of the night, guard of the rampart? ¹² Says the guard, "The morning has arrived, and, moreover, the night. If you are petitioning, petition, and return with me." ¹³ LOAD IN ARABIA In the wildwood, in Arabia, you are lodging, caravans of Dedanites." ¹⁴ Arrive with water to meet the thirsty, dwellers of the land of Tema. Forestall the wanderer with bread for him." ¹⁵ For from the presence of the swords they wander, from the presence of the sword let go, and from the presence of the bended bow, and from the presence of the heaviness of war." ¹⁶ For thus says my Lord Yahweh to me, "In three years further, as the years of a hireling, vanished will be all the glory of the sons of Kedar, ¹⁷ and the remaining number of bowmen, masters of the sons of Kedar, shall be few, for Yahweh, the Elohim of Israel, speaks."

¹ LOAD OF TYRE Howl! Ships of Tharshish. For it is devastated of house and entry. They come no longer from the land of Kittim. A deportation has arrived also to them. ² Be still! Dwellers of the coastland. The merchant of Sidon, passing over the sea, filled you, ³ and in many waters was the seed of the merchant. The harvest of the waterway was her income, and she became the mart of nations." ⁴ Be ashamed, Sidon! For the sea speaks, the stronghold of the sea, saying, "I have not travailed, nor have I borne, and not brought up choice men, nor raised virgins." ⁵ As the report progresses to Egypt, they will travail. As to the report of Tyre, ⁶ they pass it through toward Tharshish; they will howl! Dwellers of the coastland! ⁷ Was this your joy from the days aforetime? In antiquity her feet fetched her from afar to sojourn. ⁸ Who counseled this against Tyre, the crown giver, whose merchants were chiefs, her traffickers the glorious of the earth? ⁹ Yahweh of hosts counseled it, to violate the pomp of all stateliness, to make light of all the glorious of the earth." ¹⁰ Pass! Serve your land as a waterway, daughter of Tharshish. There is no use for ships any longer." ¹¹ Your hand was stretched out over the sea; it disturbed the kingdoms. Yahweh of hosts instructs as to Canaan, to exterminate its strongholds." ¹² And saying is He, "No longer shall you continue to be joyous, extorted virgin daughter of Sidon. To Kittim! Arise! Pass! Even there, there is no stopping for you." ¹³ Behold the land of the Chaldeans--this people became nothing. Assyria devastated it into arid regions. They raise lookouts. They denude citadels. They make into a fallen place. Even there, there is no stopping." ¹⁴ Howl! Ships of Tarshish, for your stronghold is devastated!" ¹⁵ And it comes in that day, Tyre will be forgotten seventy years, as the days of one king. From the end of seventy years Tyre will become as a song of the prostitute." ¹⁶ Take a harp; go around the city, forgotten prostitute. Do good playing. Increase the song, that you may be remembered." ¹⁷ And it comes, from the end of the seventy years, then Yahweh will visit Tyre, and she recalls her fee, and she prostitutes with all kingdoms of the earth, on the surface of the ground." ¹⁸ And it comes that her merchandise and her fee will be holy to Yahweh. It will not be treasured nor safeguarded. For all her merchandise shall come to dwellers before Yahweh, for eating and drinking to satisfaction, and for shiftable covering."

²⁵ And He will pour out the fury of His anger on him, and strengthen the battle. And it will set him aflame round about. Yet he will not know that it shall consume among them. Yet they will not lay it to heart."

⁴ On account of My servant Jacob, and Israel, My chosen, I am calling to you by your name. I am titling you, yet you do not know Me." ⁵ I am Yahweh Elohim, and there is none else. There is no Elohim except Me. I am belting you, yet you do not know Me."

²⁵ Pour out Your fury on the nations that have not known You, And on the families that have not called in Your name, For they have eaten up Jacob, Yea, they have eaten him up, yea, they consume him, And his habitation they have made desolate!"

²⁹ For lo, in the city over which My name is called, I am beginning to do evil, And you--you are entirely acquitted! You are not acquitted, for a sword I am proclaiming, For all inhabitants of the land, An affirmation of Yahweh of Hosts."

¹ That which has been the word of Yahweh unto Jeremiah the prophet concerning the nations, ² For Egypt, concerning the force of Pharaoh-Necho king of Egypt, that has been by the river Phrat, in Carchemish, that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon has smitten, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah:" ³ `Set you in array shield and buckler, And draw nigh to battle." <sup>4</sup> Gird the horses, and go up, you horsemen, And station yourselves with helmets, Polish the javelins, put on the coats of mail." <sup>5</sup> Wherefore have I seen them dismayed--They are turned backward, And their mighty ones are beaten down, And [to] a refuge they have fled, and not turned the face? Fear [is] round about--an affirmation of Yahweh." <sup>6</sup> The swift do not flee, nor do the mighty escape, Northward, by the side of the river Phrat, They have stumbled and fallen." <sup>7</sup> Who is this? as a flood he comes up, As rivers do his waters shake themselves!" <sup>8</sup> Egypt, as a flood comes up, And as rivers the waters shake themselves. And he said, I go up; I cover the land, I destroy the city and the inhabitants in it." <sup>9</sup> Go up, you horses; and boast yourselves, you chariots, And go forth, you mighty, Cush and Phut handling the shield, And Lud handling--treading the bow." <sup>10</sup> And that day [is] to the Lord Yahweh of Hosts A day of vengeance, To be avenged of His adversaries, And the sword has devoured, and been satisfied, And it has been watered from their blood, For a sacrifice [is] to the Lord Yahweh of Hosts, In the land of the north, by the river Phrat." <sup>11</sup> Go up to Gilead, and take balm, O virgin daughter of Egypt, In vain you have multiplied medicines, Healing there is none for you." <sup>12</sup> Nations have heard of your shame, And your cry has filled the land, For the mighty on the mighty did stumble, Together they have fallen--both of them!'" <sup>13</sup> The word that Yahweh has spoken unto Jeremiah the prophet concerning the coming in of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, to smite the land of Egypt:" <sup>14</sup> `Declare you in Egypt, and sound in Migdol, Yea, sound in Noph, and in Tahpanhes say:Station yourself, yea, prepare for you, For a sword has devoured around you, ¹⁵ Wherefore has your bull been swept away? He has not stood, because Yahweh thrust him away." ¹⁶ He has multiplied the stumbling, Yea one has fallen upon his neighbor, And they say:Rise, and we turn back to our people, And unto the land of our birth, Because of the oppressing sword." ¹⁷ They have cried there:Pharaoh king of Egypt [is] a desolation, Passed by has the appointed time." ¹⁸ I live--an affirmation of the King, Yahweh of Hosts [is] His name, Surely as Tabor [is] among mountains, And as Carmel by the sea--he comes in, ¹⁹ Goods for removal make for you, O inhabitant, daughter of Egypt, For Noph becomes a desolation, And has been burnt up, without inhabitant." ²⁰ A heifer very fair [is] Egypt, Rending from the north does come into her." ²¹ Even her hired ones in her midst [are] as calves of the stall, For even they have turned, They have fled together, they have not stood, For the day of their calamity has come on them, The time of their inspection." ²² Its voice as a serpent goes on, For with a force they go, And with axes they have come in to her, As hewers of trees." ²³ They have cut down her forest, An affirmation of Yahweh--for it is not searched, For they have been more than the grasshopper, And they have no numbering." ²⁴ Ashamed has been the daughter of Egypt, She has been given into the hand of the people of the north." ²⁵ Said has Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel:Lo, I am seeing after Amon of No, And after Pharaoh, and after Egypt, And after her elohims, and after her kings, And after Pharaoh, and after those trusting in him, ²⁶ And I have given them into the hand of those seeking their life, And into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, And into the hand of his servants, And afterwards it is inhabited, As [in] days of old--an affirmation of Yahweh." ²⁷ And you, you do not fear, my servant Jacob, Nor [are] you dismayed, O Israel, For lo, I am saving you from afar, And your seed from the land of their captivity, And Jacob has turned back, And has been at rest, and been at ease, And there is none disturbing." ²⁸ You, you do not fear, My servant Jacob, An affirmation of Yahweh--for with you I [am], For I make an end of all the nations Whither I have driven you, And of you I do not make an end, And I have reproved you in judgment, And do not entirely acquit you!'"

³ And these things will they be doing to you, for they know not the Father nor even Me."

²⁵ Just Father, the world, also, knew Thee not, yet I knew Thee. And these know that Thou dost commission Me."

²³ For, passing through and contemplating the objects of your veneration, I found a pedestal also, on which had been inscribed, 'To an Unknowable God.' To Whom then, you are ignorantly devout, This One am I announcing to you."

²⁸ And according as they do not test God, to have Him in recognition, God gives them over to a disqualified mind, to do that which is not befitting,

¹² For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same One is Lord of all, being rich for all who are invoking Him." ¹³ For everyone, whoever should be invoking the name of the Lord, shall be saved." ¹⁴ How, then, should they be invoking One in Whom they do not believe? Yet how should they be believing One of Whom they do not hear? Yet how should they be hearing apart from one heralding?

² to the ecclesia of God which is in Corinth, hallowed in Christ Jesus, called saints, together with all in every place who are invoking the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, both theirs and ours:"

⁸ in flaming fire, dealing out vengeance to those who are not acquainted with God and those who are not obeying the evangel of our Lord Jesus Christ"

¹ And I hear a loud voice out of the temple, saying to the seven messengers, "Go and pour out the seven bowls of the fury of God into the land." ² And forth came the first, and he pours out his bowl into the land. And an evil and malignant ulcer came on those of mankind who have the emblem of the wild beast, and worship its image." ³ And the second pours out his bowl into the sea. And it became blood as if of a dead man. And every living soul died which is in the sea. ⁴ And the third pours out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of water. And it became blood. ⁵ And I hear the messenger of the waters saying, "Just art Thou, Who art, and Who wast, Benign One, seeing that Thou judgest these, ⁶ for they shed the blood of saints and prophets, and Thou dost give them blood to drink, even what they are deserving!" ⁷ And I hear the altar saying, "Yea, Lord God Almighty, true and just are Thy judgings!" ⁸ And the fourth messenger pours out his bowl on the sun. And it was given to him to scorch mankind with fire. ⁹ And mankind is scorched with great heat, and they blaspheme the name of God, Who has the jurisdiction over these calamities, and they do not repent, to give Him glory." ¹⁰ And the fifth pours out his bowl on the throne of the wild beast. And its kingdom became dark; and they gnawed their tongues for misery ¹¹ and blaspheme the God of heaven for their miseries and for their ulcers; and they do not repent of their acts. ¹² And the sixth pours out his bowl on the great river Euphrates. And its water is dried up that the road of the kings from the orient may be made ready. ¹³ And I perceived, out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the wild beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, ¹⁴ three unclean spirits, as if frogs (for they are spirits of demons, doing signs), which are going out to the kings of the whole inhabited earth, to be mobilizing them for the battle of the great day of God Almighty." ¹⁵ ("Lo! I am coming as a thief! Happy is he who is watching and keeping his garments, that he may not be walking naked and they may be observing his indecency!") " ¹⁶ And they mobilized them at the place called, in Hebrew, "Armageddon." ¹⁷ And the seventh messenger pours out his bowl on the air. And a loud voice came out of the temple of God, saying, "It has occurred!" ¹⁸ And lightnings and voices and thunders occurred. And a great earthquake occurred, such as did not occur since mankind came to be on the earth; of such proportions was the quake and so great." ¹⁹ And the great city came to be divided into three parts; and the cities of the nations fall. And Babylon the great is brought to remembrance in the sight of God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fury of His indignation." ²⁰ And every island fled, and the mountains were not found." ²¹ And hail, large as a talent weight, is descending out of heaven on mankind. And men blaspheme God as a result of the calamity of hail, for great is its calamity-tremendous!"

²¹ to fulfil the word of Yahweh in the mouth of Jeremiah, till the land has enjoyed its sabbaths; all the days of the desolation it kept sabbath--to the fulness of seventy years.

¹³ The boar from the wildwood gorges on it, And the field mammal, it grazes upon it."

¹² The Syrians from the east, and the Philistines from behind, and they shall devour Israel with a whole mouth. And in all this his anger does not reverse, and His hand is outstretched still!"

¹ Behold, Yahweh making void, the land, and evacuating it! And He denudes its surface, and scatters its dwellers." ² And it comes to be, as people, so priest, as servant, so his lord, as maid, so her mistress, as buyer, so seller, as borrowee, so borrower, as lender, so him to whom is lent." ³ Voided, yea voided shall be the land, and plundered, yea plundered shall be the ground. For the mouth of Yahweh speaks this word." ⁴ Mournful, disintegrated is the earth. Enfeebled, disintegrated is the habitance. Enfeebled are the heights of the people of the land, ⁵ and the land is polluted under its dwellers. For they trespass against the laws; they vary the statute; they annul the covenant eonian. ⁶ Therefore an imprecation devours the land, and dwellers in it are guilty. Therefore the dwellers are drained out of the land, and there remain but a bit of the mortals." ⁷ Mournful is the grape juice; enfeebled is the vine. Sigh does every rejoicing heart. ⁸ Cease does the elation of tambourines. Left off is the tumult of the joyous. Cease does the elation of the harp. ⁹ Ashamed, they are drinking no wine. And the intoxicant is bitter to its drinkers." ¹⁰ Broken is every town--a chaos. Locked is every house against entry. ¹¹ Yelling over the wine is in the streets; the eventide is it for all rejoicing. Deported is all the elation of the land. ¹² And there remains in the city, desolation, and houses, forsaken, perish, and a tumult is pounding the gate."

¹⁰ The cities of Your holy place come to be a wilderness. Zion becomes as a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation." ¹¹ The house, our holy place, and our beauty, where our forefathers praised You, came to be burned with fire, and all that we covet came to be demolished."

⁷ All finding them have devoured them, And their adversaries have said:We are not guilty, Because that they sinned against Yahweh, The habitation of righteousness, And the hope of their fathers--Yahweh."

³⁴ Devoured us, crushed us, has Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, He has set us [as] an empty vessel, He has swallowed us as a dragon, He has filled his belly with my dainties, He has driven us away." ³⁵ My wrong, and [that of] my flesh [is] on Babylon, Say does the inhabitant of Zion, And my blood [is] on the inhabitants of Chaldea, Say does Jerusalem."

¹⁵ and with great wrath am I wroth over the nations that are tranquil. When I was a little wroth, then they helped toward the evil."

¹⁶ And in the fourth generation they shall return hither, for the depravity of the Amorites has not been repaid hitherto.

³⁴ And now, go, guide the people to the place of which I spoke to you. Behold, My messenger shall go before you, and in the day of My visitation, then I will visit on them their sin.

⁴³ The sojourner who is among you shall ascend over you upward and upward, yet you shall descend downward and downward.

¹⁸ And she said unto Elijah, `What--to me and to you, O man of Elohim? you have come unto me to cause mine iniquity to be remembered, and to put my son to death!.

³ For You shall succor him with blessings of good; You shall set a glittering gold crown on his head.

⁷ Do not remember the sins of my youth and my transgressions; According to Your benignity, remember me, I pray You, On account of Your goodness, O Yahweh."

¹⁶ Answer me, O Yahweh, for Your benignity is good; Turn toward me according to Your many compassions." ¹⁷ Do not conceal Your face from Your servant, For distress is mine; quickly answer me."

⁴³ Many times He rescued them, But they were rebellious in their counsel, And they were reduced lower in their depravity."

⁶ The One guarding the simple is Yahweh; I was impoverished, and He saved me."

³ If You should keep account of depravities, O Yah, O Yahweh, who should stand?

⁶ Do attend to my appeal, For I am exceedingly impoverished; Rescue me from my persecutors, For they are tougher than I."

³ And He said unto Me, `Son of man, I am sending you unto the sons of Israel, unto nations who are rebels, who have rebelled against Me; they and their fathers have transgressed against Me, unto this self-same day."

¹³ even sacrifices of My bounties. They are sacrificing flesh, and they are eating it. Yahweh does not accept them. Now He is remembering their depravity and is noting their sins. They shall return to Egypt."

⁹ Deeply they ruin as in the days of Gibeah. He will remember their depravity and will note their sins.

³² And you! Fill full the measure of your father! ³³ Serpents! Progeny of vipers! How may you be fleeing from the judging of Gehenna? ³⁴ Therefore, lo! I am dispatching to you prophets and wise men and scribes. Of them, some you will be killing and crucifying, and of them, some you will be scourging in your synagogues and persecuting from city to city, ³⁵ so that on you should be coming all the just blood shed on the earth, from the blood of just Abel until the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murder between the temple and the altar." ³⁶ Verily, I am saying to you: All these things will be arriving on this generation."

⁵ for her sins were piled up to heaven, and God remembers her injuries."

⁹ and the Canaanite and all the inhabitants of the land do hear, and have come round against us, and cut off our name out of the earth; and what do You do for Your great name?.

¹¹ And Asa calls unto Yahweh his Elohim, and said, `Yahweh! it is nothing with You to help, between the mighty and those who have no power; help us, O Yahweh, our Elohim, for on You we have leant, and in Your name we have come against this multitude; O Yahweh, our Elohim you [are]; let him not prevail with You--mortal man!"

¹¹ On account of Your Name, O Yahweh, Thus pardon my depravity, though it be great."

³ For You are my Crag and my Fastness, And on account of Your Name, O Yahweh, You shall guide me, And You shall conduct me."

³ When matters of depravity have mastery over us, Our transgressions, You Yourself shall make a propitiatory shelter for them."

¹ Not to us, O Yahweh, not to us, But to Your Name give glory, On account of Your benignity, Your faithfulness."

²⁵ I, I am He Who wipes out your transgressions on My own account, and your sins I will not remember further."

⁹ On account of My name am I long-suffering in My anger, and for My praise am I repressing for you, to avoid cutting you off."

⁷ Surely our iniquities have testified against us, O Yahweh, work for Your name's sake, For many have been our backslidings, Against You we have sinned."

²¹ Do not despise, for Your name's sake, Dishonor not the throne of Your honor, Remember, break not Your covenant with us."

⁹ And I do [it] for My name's sake, Not to pollute [it] before the eyes of the nations, In whose midst they [are], Before whose eyes I became known to them, To bring them out from the land of Egypt."

¹⁴ And I do [it] for My name's sake, Not to pollute [it] before the eyes of the nations, Before whose eyes I brought them forth."

⁹ Of Yahweh our Elohim are compassions and pardons; for we revolt against Him."

¹⁹ My Lord, hear! My Lord, pardon! My Lord, attend and do! Thou must not be delaying on Thine own account, my Elohim, for Thy name is called over Thy city and over Thy people, Israel."

² If you will not hear, and if you will not take it to heart to give glory to My name, says Yahweh of hosts, then I will send among you the curse. And I will curse your blessings. And, moreover, I have cursed them, and I will annul them, for you are not taking it to heart, and it shall not come among you."

⁶ for the laud of the glory of His grace, which graces us in the Beloved:"

⁷ I will take you to Me as a people. I will become to you as Elohim, and you will realize that I am Yahweh your Elohim, Who brought you forth from beneath the burdens of the Egyptians.

⁵ And all the Egyptians will know that I am Yahweh when I stretch out My hand over Egypt and bring forth the sons of Israel from their midst.

¹⁶ Yahweh is known by the judgment He executes; The wicked are trapped by the deed of His palms. {Chant, Interlude{ "

³ My tears were my bread by day and night, While they said to me the entire day, Where is your Elohim?

¹⁰ With murder against my bones, My foes reproached me, While they said to me the entire day, Where is your Elohim?

¹¹ Then mankind shall say, Yea, there is fruit for the righteous; Yea, there is an Elohim Who is judging in the earth! {Permanent{ {O Do Not Bring Ruin!{ "

¹⁷ May they be ashamed and filled with panic for the future, And may they be abashed and perish, ¹⁸ So that men may realize that You, You, Whose Name is Yahweh, Yours alone, Are the Supreme over all the earth. {Permanent, On the Wine Trough{ "

¹ O El of avenging, Yahweh, El of avenging, shine forth!"

² Why should the nations say, Where, pray, is their Elohim?

³⁵ My wrong, and [that of] my flesh [is] on Babylon, Say does the inhabitant of Zion, And my blood [is] on the inhabitants of Chaldea, Say does Jerusalem."

²³ And I have sanctified My great name, That is profaned among nations, That you have polluted in your midst, And known have the nations that I [am] Yahweh, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh, In My being sanctified in you before your eyes."

²¹ And I have given My honor among nations, And seen have all the nations My Judgment that I have done, And My hand that I have laid on them." ²² And known have the house of Israel that I [am] Yahweh their Elohim, From that day and henceforth."

¹⁷ Between the portico and the altar shall the priests lament. The ministers of Yahweh then shall say, Commiserate, Yahweh, over Your people, and You must not give Your allotment to reproach, that the nations rule among them. Why shall they say among the peoples, Where is their Elohim?

¹⁰ Then my enemy shall see, and shame will cover her, the one saying to me:Where is Yahweh your Elohim? My eyes shall see her. Now, shall she come to be for tramping as the mud of the streets."

¹⁹ you are not avenging yourselves, beloved, but be giving place to His indignation, for it is written, Mine is vengeance! I will repay! the Lord is saying. "

²⁰ Make merry over her, O heaven, and ye saints and apostles and prophets, seeing that God judges by passing your sentence upon her."

²³ In the course of these many days it came to be that the king of Egypt died. Yet the sons of Israel sighed under the servitude and cried out, and their imploration ascended to the One, Elohim, out of the servitude. ²⁴ Elohim heard their moaning, and Elohim was mindful of His covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

¹⁷ So now let, I pray, the vigor of Yahweh be great just as You have spoken, saying. ¹⁸ Yahweh, slow to anger and with much kindness and truth, bearing with depravity and transgression and sin, yet He is not immediately making innocent in order to make innocent, but is visiting the depravity of the fathers on the sons, on the third and on the fourth generation. ¹⁹ Pardon, I pray, the depravity of this people according to the greatness of Your kindness just as You bore with this people from Egypt and hitherto.

⁵ Because of the devastation of the humbled, Because of the groaning of the needy, Now I shall arise, says Yahweh; I shall set him in safety; I shall shine forth for him.

³³ For Yahweh is hearkening to the needy, And He does not despise His prisoners."

²⁰ To hear the groaning of the prisoner, To unloose the sons of death,

⁶ Maker of the heavens and earth, The sea and all that is in them, The Guardian of truth for the eons;" ⁷ He is the One executing right judgment for those being exploited, The Giver of bread to the famished, Yahweh, letting loose those who are bound,

² Yahweh, be gracious to us! Toward You we stretch. And become You our arm for the mornings, indeed, our salvation in the season of distress."

⁷ to unclose the eyes that are blind, to bring forth the prisoner from his enclosure, and those dwelling in darkness from the house of detention."

¹³ And mayest Thou not be bringing us into trial, but rescue us from the wicked one.'"

²⁰ Now to Him Who is able to do superexcessively above all that we are requesting or apprehending, according to the power that is operating in us,

¹⁵ And saying to him is Yahweh Elohim, "Not so. Anyone killing Cain, sevenfold shall it be avenged. "And placing is Yahweh Elohim a sign for Cain, to avoid anyone finding him smiting him.

²¹ If you go contrary to Me and are not willing to hearken to Me, then I will add smitings to you sevenfold according to your sins.

²⁸ then I will go contrary to you in fury. And I Myself, indeed, will discipline you sevenfold for your sins.

¹⁶ Because of the voice of the reproacher and taunter, Because of the face of the enemy and avenger."

¹⁰ How long, O Elohim, shall the foe reproach? Shall the enemy spurn Your Name permanently?

¹⁸ Remember this:the enemy has reproached You, O Yahweh, And the decadent people have spurned Your Name." ¹⁹ O do not give the soul of Your turtledove to the wild animals; O do not forget the life of Your humbled ones permanently. ²⁰ Look to Your covenant, For haunts of violence fill the dark places of the land." ²¹ O do not let the crushed turn away mortified; The humbled and needy, may they praise Your Name." ²² Do rise, O Elohim, do contend Your cause; Remember the reproach against You the entire day by the decadent."

³¹ Yet when he is found, he shall repay sevenfold Though he must give up all the wealth of his house."

⁵ who are saying, `Keep near to yourself! You must not come close to me, for I am holier than you.' These are a smoke in My nose, a fire which is glowing all the day." ⁶ Behold! It is written before Me, I will not hush, save I repay. And I repay into their bosoms, ⁷ your depravities and the depravities of your forefathers together,says Yahweh, "Who fume incense on the mountains, and on the hills defy Me; and I measure their wage first into their bosom."

¹⁸ Doing kindness to thousands, and recompensing iniquity of fathers into the bosom of their sons after them; El, the great, the mighty, Yahweh of Hosts [is] His name,

³⁸ be giving, and it shall be given to you: a measure ideal, squeezed down and shaken together and running over, shall they be giving into your bosom. For the same measure with which you are measuring will be measured to you again."

⁸ In Elohim we will boast the entire day, And Your Name we shall acclaim for the eon. {Interlude{ "

¹⁷ I will make Your Name remembered in every generation after generation; Therefore the peoples, they shall acclaim You for the eon and further. {Permanent{ "

¹⁸ Remember this:the enemy has reproached You, O Yahweh, And the decadent people have spurned Your Name."

²² Do rise, O Elohim, do contend Your cause; Remember the reproach against You the entire day by the decadent."

⁷ For He is our Elohim, And we are the people of His pasture And the flock of His hand. Today, if His voice you should hear,

³ Know that Yahweh, He is Elohim; He it is Who has made us, and we are His. His people are we and the flock of His pasture."

⁴ May one generation laud Your works to another generation, And of Your masterful deeds may they tell."

²¹ This people I have formed for Myself, and they shall relate My praise."
