Zephaniah 3:19 Cross References - CLV

¹⁹ Behold Me dealing with all those humbling you, at that season, (averring is Yahweh). And I will save her who is limping, and her who is expelled will I convene; and I will make them a praise and a name in the entire earth of their shame."

⁹ And they will say in that day, "Behold! This is Yahweh, our Elohim. We expected Him, and He will save us! This is Yahweh! We expected Him, and we will exult! And we will rejoice in His salvation, ¹⁰ for the hand of Yahweh will rest in this mountain.And threshed is Moab under Him as crushed straw is threshed by a threshing sledge." ¹¹ And He spreads forth His hands within it, as the swimmer is spreading his hands to swim, and He abases its pride with the ambushes of His hands, ¹² and the impregnable fortress of your walls He prostrates. He lays it low. It attains to the earth, unto the soil."

¹¹ Yahweh, Your exalted hand they will fail to perceive. Yet they shall perceive and be shamed by the zeal of the disciplined people. Indeed, the fire of Your foes will devour them."

¹¹ Behold! Ashamed and confounded shall all be who were hot with you. They are coming to be as nothing. And perish shall all mortals who contend with you. ¹² You shall seek them, yet shall not find them. And the mortals with whom you strive shall come to be as nothing, and a limit is reached by the mortals who war with you." ¹³ For I, Yahweh, your Elohim, am holding fast your right hand, saying to you, `You must not fear; I, I help you." ¹⁴ You must not fear, worm Jacob, and death-doomed of Israel, I, I help you,'averring is Yahweh, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel." ¹⁵ Behold! I constitute you a new spiked threshing sledge possessing serrated edges. You shall thresh the mountains and pulverize them, and the hills you shall make as trash." ¹⁶ You will winnow them, and the wind will carry them away. And the tempest will scatter them. And you shall exult in Yahweh. And in the Holy One of Israel shall you boast."

¹⁴ Thus says Yahweh, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel:"On your account I send to Babylon and I bring down the fugitives, all of them, and the Chaldeans, in ships of their jubilation." ¹⁵ I am Yahweh Elohim, your Holy One, Creator of Israel, your King." ¹⁶ Thus says Yahweh, the One making a way in the sea, and in the strong waters a track, ¹⁷ the One bringing forth the chariot and the horse, and the army and the strong together:"They shall lie down. They shall fail to rise. They shall be extinguished. They shall be quenched as flax."

²⁵ For thus says Yahweh, "Even the captive of a master will be taken, and the booty of the terrifier will escape. Yet with your contender I will contend, and your sons I will save." ²⁶ And I feed those tyrannizing over you with their own flesh, and as with juice, with their own blood shall they be drunk. Then all flesh shall know that I, Yahweh, am your Saviour, and your Redeemer is the Sturdy One of Jacob."

²² Thus says your Lord Yahweh, and your Elohim, who is contending for His people, "Behold! I take from your hand the tremorous cup, the dregs of the cup of My fury. You are not continuing to drink it any longer, ²³ and I place it in the hand of your afflictors and your humblers, who say to your soul, `Prostrate, and we will pass.' And you are placing your body as the earth, and as a street for passers."

¹⁴ And go to you to prostrate shall all the sons of your humiliators, and worship at the soles of your feet shall all your spurners. And they call you the city of Yahweh, Zion of the Holy One of Israel."

¹⁸ And no further shall violence be heard in your land, devastation and breaking within your boundaries. And you call your walls "Salvation,and your gates "Praise."

⁷ Instead of your shame, a second portion is yours, and for confounding they shall jubilate in their portion. Wherefore, in their land a second portion shall they tenant. And rejoicing eonian shall come to be on their heads."

⁷ And you must not give Him stillness till He shall make ready, and till He shall establish, and till He shall constitute Jerusalem a praise in the earth."

¹⁴ And you see it, and your heart is elated, and your bones, as verdure, shall bud, and the hand of Yahweh shall be known with His servants, yet it menaces His enemies." ¹⁵ For, behold! Yahweh shall come with fire! And as a sweeping whirlwind are His chariots, to return with fury, His anger, and His rebuke in blazes of fire." ¹⁶ For with fire Yahweh shall come to judge the entire earth, and by His sword all flesh; and multitudinous are the wounded of Yahweh!"

¹⁶ Therefore all consuming you are consumed, And all your adversaries--all of them--Into captivity do go, And your spoilers have been for a spoil, And all your plunderers I give up to plunder."

⁸ Lo, I am bringing them in from the north country, And have gathered them from the sides of the earth, Among them [are] blind and lame, Conceiving and travailing one--together, A great assembly--they turn back hither."

⁹ And it has been to Me for a name of joy, For praise, and for beauty, to all nations of the earth, Who hear of all the good that I am doing them, And they have feared, And they have trembled for all the good, And for all the peace, that I am doing to it."

²⁸ You, you do not fear, My servant Jacob, An affirmation of Yahweh--for with you I [am], For I make an end of all the nations Whither I have driven you, And of you I do not make an end, And I have reproved you in judgment, And do not entirely acquit you!'"

³⁵ My wrong, and [that of] my flesh [is] on Babylon, Say does the inhabitant of Zion, And my blood [is] on the inhabitants of Chaldea, Say does Jerusalem." ³⁶ Therefore, thus said Yahweh:Lo, I am pleading your cause, And I have avenged your vengeance, And dried up its sea, and made its fountains dry."

¹⁶ The lost I seek, and the driven away bring back, And the broken I bind up, and the sick I strengthen, And the fat and the strong I destroy, I feed it with judgment."

¹⁷ And you, son of man, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Say to the bird--every wing, and to every beast of the field:Be assembled and come in, Be gathered from round about, For My sacrifice that I am sacrificing for you, A great sacrifice on mountains of Israel, And you have eaten flesh, and drunk blood." ¹⁸ Flesh of the mighty you do eat, And blood of princes of the earth you drink, Of rams, of lambs, and of he-goats, Of calves, fatlings of Bashan--all of them." ¹⁹ And you have eaten fat to satiety, And you have drunk blood--to drunkenness, Of My sacrifice that I sacrificed for you." ²⁰ And you have been satisfied at My table with horse and rider, Mighty man, and every man of war, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh." ²¹ And I have given My honor among nations, And seen have all the nations My Judgment that I have done, And My hand that I have laid on them." ²² And known have the house of Israel that I [am] Yahweh their Elohim, From that day and henceforth."

²⁶ And they have forgotten their shame, And all their trespass that they trespassed against Me, In their dwelling on their land confidently and none troubling."

² I will also convene all the nations and bring them down to the vale of Jehoshaphat. And I enter into judgment with them there concerning My people, and My allotment, Israel, whom they disperse among the nations, and My land which they apportion, ³ and they handle the lot for My people. They are giving the boy for prostitution, and the girl they sell for wine, and they are drinking it." ⁴ Moreover, what are you to Me, Tyre and Sidon, and all the circuit of Philistia? Are you repaying Me a requital? And, if you be requiting Me speedily, hastily will I reverse your requital on your head, ⁵ you who have taken My silver and My gold, and have brought My coveted good things to your temples." ⁶ And the sons of Judah and the sons of Jerusalem you sell to the sons of the Grecians, that you may put them far from their boundary." ⁷ Behold Me rousing them from the place where you sell them. I reverse your requital on your head, ⁸ and I sell your sons and your daughters, into the hands of the sons of Judah, and they sell them into captivity, to a nation afar, for Yahweh speaks." ⁹ Proclaim this among the nations! Hallow a war! Rouse the masters! All the mortals of war shall come close and ascend.

⁶ In that day, (averring is Yahweh), I will gather her that is limping, and I will convene her that is expelled and her to whom I have done evil." ⁷ And I make her that is limping a remnant, and her that is beyond the border a staunch nation. And Yahweh shall reign over them in mount Zion, henceforth and unto the eon."

¹⁰ Then my enemy shall see, and shame will cover her, the one saying to me:Where is Yahweh your Elohim? My eyes shall see her. Now, shall she come to be for tramping as the mud of the streets."

¹¹ From you fares forth one devising evil against Yahweh, a decadent counselor." ¹² Thus says Yahweh:Though they are poised and so numerous, even so, they shall be shorn, and he shall pass away. Though I humbled you, I will not humble you further." ¹³ And now I will break his slider bar off you, and your bands will I pull away." ¹⁴ And Yahweh instructs concerning you:No longer shall your name be perpetuated. From the house of your elohim will I cut off carving and molten image. I will set up your tomb, for you are slight."

¹⁵ Yahweh takes away your judgments; He faces your enemies about. The King of Israel, Yahweh, is within you; you shall see no further evil."

⁸ For thus says Yahweh of hosts:After the glory He sends me to the nations, your looters; for he who is touching you is touching the apple of My eye." ⁹ For behold Me waving My hand over them, and they will become loot for their servants. Then you shall know that Yahweh of hosts sent me."

³ And it shall come to be in that day, I will make Jerusalem a stone, a lading for all the peoples; all laden with it shall be sorely lacerated, and all the nations of the earth shall be gathered against it." ⁴ In that day, (averring is Yahweh of hosts), I will smite every horse with amazement, and his rider with madness. Yet over the house of Judah will I unclose My eyes, and every horse of the peoples will I smite with blindness."

² Yet I will gather all nations to Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be seized, and the houses are rifled, and the women ravished. And half the city shall fare forth into deportation. Yet the rest of My people shall not be cut off from the city." ³ Then Yahweh shall fare forth and fight against those nations, as the day He fought in the day of attack."

¹³ and make upright tracks for your feet, that the lame one may not turn aside, yet rather may be healed."

¹⁷ And I perceived another messenger, standing in the sun. And he cries with a loud voice, saying to all the birds which are flying in mid-heaven, "Hither! Be gathered for the great dinner of God, ¹⁸ that you may be eating the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of the strong, and the flesh of horses and of those sitting on them, and the flesh of all freemen as well as slaves, and of small and of great." ¹⁹ And I perceived the wild beast and the kings of the earth and their armies, gathered to do battle with Him Who is sitting on the horse and with His army." ²⁰ And the wild beast is arrested, and with it the false prophet who does the signs in its sight, by which he deceives those getting the emblem of the wild beast, and those worshiping its image. Living, the two were cast into the lake of fire burning with sulphur." ²¹ And the rest were killed with the blade which is coming out of the mouth of Him Who is sitting on the horse. And all the birds are satisfied with their flesh.

⁹ And they went up over the breadth of the earth, and surround the citadel of the saints and the beloved city. And fire descended from God out of heaven and devoured them."
