¹⁶ And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, to be with you forever

For if I do not go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. ⁸ And when he comes, he will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: ⁹ of sin, because they do not believe in me; ¹⁰ of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you see me no more; ¹¹ of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. ¹² "I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. ¹³ But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth; for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak; and he will tell you things to come. ¹⁴ He will glorify me, for he will take of what is mine and declare it to you. ¹⁵ All that the Father has is mine. Therefore I said that he will take of what is mine and declare it to you.

²² So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.

²⁶ In that day you will ask in my name. And I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you; ²⁷ for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God.

⁹ I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours. ¹⁰ And all mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them. ¹¹ And now I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name the name you gave me that they may be one, even as we are one.

¹⁵ I do not pray that you should take them out of the world, but that you should keep them from the evil one.

²⁰ "I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in me through their word;

³¹ So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria enjoyed peace and was built up; and going on in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it continued to increase.

⁵² And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.

⁵ And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

¹⁵ For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." ¹⁶ The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,

²⁶ Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. ²⁷ And he who searches the hearts of men knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

³⁴ Who is he who condemns? It is Christ Jesus, who died, yes, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who is also interceding for us.

¹⁷ For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit;

¹³ May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

¹³ In him, you also have heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having also believed, you were sealed in him with the promised Holy Spirit, ¹⁴ who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance, until the redemption of those who are God's possessionto the praise of his glory.

¹ Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion,

³ For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. ⁴ When Christ, who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

¹⁶ Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope by grace,

²⁵ Therefore he is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

¹ My little children, I write this to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
