²¹ For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom he will.

⁸ Why is it thought incredible by any of you that God raises the dead?

¹⁷ (as it is written, "I have made you the father of many nations") in the presence of the God in whom he believed, who gives life to the dead and calls things that do not exist as though they did. ¹⁸ In hope, he believed against hope, so that he became the father of many nations; as he had been told, "So shall your descendants be." ¹⁹ And he did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was as good as dead since he was about a hundred years old, or when he considered the barrenness of Sarah's womb.

¹¹ If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit who dwells in you.
