¹ Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon our beloved brother and fellow worker, ² and to Apphia our sister, and to Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church in your house: ³ grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. ⁴ I thank my God always when I remember you in my prayers, ⁵ because I hear of your love and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and all the saints, ⁶ and I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective through the knowledge of every good thing that is ours in Christ. ⁷ For I have derived much joy and comfort from your love, my brother, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you. ⁸ Therefore, though I am bold enough in Christ to order you to do what is proper, ⁹ yet for love's sake I rather appeal to yousince I am such a person as Paul, the aged, and now also a prisoner of Christ Jesus ¹⁰ 10 I appeal to you for my child, Onesimus, whose father I have become in my imprisonment. ¹¹ Formerly he was useless to you, but now he is useful both to you and to me. ¹² I am sending him back to you, sending my very heart. ¹³ I would have been glad to keep him with me, so that he might serve me on your behalf during my imprisonment for the gospel; ¹⁴ but without your consent I did not want to do anything, so that your goodness would not be, in effect, by compulsion but of your own free will. ¹⁵ Perhaps this is the reason he was separated from you for a while, that you might have him back for ever, ¹⁶ no longer as a slave, but more than a slave, as a beloved brother, especially to me, but how much more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord. ¹⁷ So if you consider me a partner, welcome him as you would welcome me. ¹⁸ If he has wronged you in any way, or owes you anything, charge that to my account. ¹⁹ I, Paul, am writing this with my own hand, I will pay it backnot to mention that you owe me even your own self. ²⁰ Yes, brother, let me have some benefit from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in Christ. ²¹ Confident of your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even more than I say. ²² At the same time, prepare a guest room for me, for I hope through your prayers to be granted to you. ²³ Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, sends you greetings, ²⁴ and so do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my fellow workers. ²⁵ The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.

⁹ For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building.

¹ Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, to the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints who are throughout Achaia:

¹ For this reason I, Paul, am the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles

¹ I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called,

²⁰ for which I am an ambassador in chains; that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.

²⁵ But I thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother and fellow worker and fellow soldier, who is also your messenger and minister to my need;

³ Yes, and I ask you also, true yoke-fellow, to help these women who have struggled at my side in the cause of the gospel, together with Clement also and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.

¹¹ and also Jesus who is called Justus. These are the only men of the circumcision among my fellow workers for the kingdom of God, and they have proved to be a comfort to me.

² and we sent Timothy, our brother and God's fellow worker in the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you in your faith,

¹ Paul, Silvanus and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

⁸ So do not be ashamed to testify of our Lord or of me his prisoner, but join with me in suffering for the gospel according to the power of God, ⁹ yet for love's sake I rather appeal to yousince I am such a person as Paul, the aged, and now also a prisoner of Christ Jesus

²⁴ and so do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my fellow workers.

⁵ greet also the church that meets in their house. Greet my beloved Epaenetus, who was the first convert of Asia for Christ.

¹⁹ The churches of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Prisca greet you warmly in the lord, with the church that is in their house.

¹⁵ Give my greetings to the brethren at Laodicea, and to Nympha and the church in her house.

¹⁷ Say to Archippus, "See to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it."

³ Share in hardship as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. ⁴ No soldier in active service gets entangled in civilian affairs, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him as a soldier.

⁷ To all in Rome who are beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁴ The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

⁸ First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is proclaimed in all the world.

¹⁶ I do not cease giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers,

³ I thank my God in all my remembrance of you,

³ We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you,

² We give thanks to God always for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers; ³ We ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, as is fitting, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.

³ I thank God, whom I serve with a clear conscience the way my forefathers did, as I constantly remember you in my prayers night and day.

³⁹ So Peter rose and went with them. And when he arrived, they took him to the upper room. All the widows stood beside him, weeping and showing the tunics and other garments that Dorcas made while she was with them. ⁴⁰ But Peter sent them all out and knelt down and prayed; then turning to the body, he said, "Tabitha, arise." And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up. ⁴¹ And he gave her his hand and raised her up. Then calling the saints and widows he presented her alive.

¹³ Contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality.

²⁵ Now, however, I am going to Jerusalem with aid for the saints. ²⁶ For Macedonia and Achaia have been pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.

¹ Now concerning the collection for the saints: as I directed the churches of Galatia, so you must also do.

⁶ For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is of any avail, but faith working through love.

¹⁵ For this reason, ever since I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,

⁴ because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love which you have for all the saints,

⁷ For I have derived much joy and comfort from your love, my brother, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you.

²³ And this is his commandment: that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as he has commanded us.

¹ Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the parent loves the child. ² By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments.

¹⁶ Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

²⁵ the secrets of his heart are disclosed; and so, he will fall on his face, and worship God, declaring that God is really among you.

¹² For the ministry of this service is not only fully supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to God. ¹³ Because of the test of this service, you will glorify God by your obedience in your confession of the gospel of Christ, and by the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others; ¹⁴ while they long for you and pray for you, because of the surpassing grace of God in you.

⁹ And this is my prayer, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, ¹⁰ so that you may approve what is excellent, and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ; ¹¹ having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

⁸ Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

⁹ For this reason also, since the day we heard it, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

¹⁴ Our people must also learn to devote themselves to good deeds, so that they may help cases of urgent need, and not be unfruitful.

¹⁰ For God is not so unjust as to forget your work and the love which you have shown for his sake in serving the saints, as you still do.

¹⁴ What good is it, my brethren, if a man says he has faith but has no works? Can such faith save him?

¹⁷ So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead.

⁵ who are protected by God's power through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. ⁶ In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have to suffer various trials, ⁷ so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. ⁸ Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and rejoice with an inexpressible and glorious joy,

¹² Maintain good conduct among the Gentiles, so that in case they speak against you as wrongdoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.

¹ You wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without a word by the behavior of their wives,

¹⁶ and keep a clear conscience, so that, when you are abused, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.

⁸ For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁴ I have great confidence in you; I have great pride in you; I am filled with comfort. With all our affliction, I am overflowing with joy.

¹³ Therefore we are comforted. And besides our own comfort, we rejoiced still more at the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been refreshed by you all.

³ remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹³ And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you who believe.

¹⁹ For who is our hope or joy or crown of exultation? Is it not even you, in the presence of our Lord Jesus at his coming?

⁹ For what thanksgiving can we render to God for you in return for all the joy which we feel for your sake before our God,

¹⁶ May the Lord grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chains;

²⁰ Yes, brother, let me have some benefit from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in Christ.

⁴ I rejoiced greatly to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as we have been commanded by the Father.

³ For I greatly rejoiced when some of the brethren arrived and testified to the truth of your life, and how you are walking in truth. ⁴ I have no greater joy than this, to hear that my children are walking in the truth. ⁵ Beloved, you are acting faithfully in whatever you accomplish for the brethren, and especially when they are strangers; ⁶ and they have testified to your love before the church. You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God.

¹² Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold.

¹ I, Paul, myself urge you, by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, I who am humble when face to face with you, but bold to you when I am away! ² I beg you that when I am present I may not have to be bold with that confidence by which I intend to be bold against some, who think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.

⁸ For even if I boast somewhat further about our authority, which the Lord gave for building you up and not for destroying you, I shall not be put to shame.

²¹ To my shame, I must say that we were too weak for that! But whatever anyone else dares to boast aboutI am speaking as a foolI also dare to boast about.

⁴ And there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather let there be thanksgiving.

² but after we had already suffered and been shamefully treated in Philippi, as you know, we had the boldness in our God to speak to you the gospel of God in the face of great opposition.

⁶ nor did we seek glory from men, either from you or from others, though we might have made demands as apostles of Christ.

¹ I appeal to you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.

²⁰ We are therefore ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making his appeal through us. We beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

¹ Working together with him, then, we urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain.

¹⁹ I urge you all the more to do this so that I may be restored to you the sooner.

¹¹ Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against your soul.

¹⁷ And one of the crowd answered him, "Teacher, I brought my son to you, who has a mute spirit.

¹⁵ For though you have countless guides in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.

¹⁹ My children, with whom I am again in labor until Christ is formed in you

⁹ and with him Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is one of yourselves. They will tell you everything that has taken place here.

² to Timothy, my true child in the faith: grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

⁴ to Titus, my true child in a common faith: grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.

³⁰ And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'

²⁴ for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' And they began to be merry.

³² It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for this your brother was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.'"

¹⁰ So you also, when you have done all that is commanded you, say, 'We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty.'"

¹² All have turned aside, together they have become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one."

¹¹ Only Luke is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is useful to me in my ministry.

¹⁰ Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

¹⁴ For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. ¹⁵ But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

²¹ Then Peter came to him and said, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" ²² Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven. ²³ Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. ²⁴ When he began the settlement, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. ²⁵ And as he was not able to pay, his master ordered that he be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and payment to be made. ²⁶ So the servant fell on his knees before him, saying, 'Have patience with me, and I will pay you everything.' ²⁷ The master of that servant took pity on him, released him, and forgave him the debt. ²⁸ But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii; and he laid hands on him and took him by the throat, saying, 'Pay me what you owe.' ²⁹ So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, 'Have patience with me, and I will pay you back.' ³⁰ But he refused, and went and threw him into prison till he should pay the debt. ³¹ When his fellow servants saw what had taken place, they were greatly distressed, and went and told their master all that had happened. ³² Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, 'You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. ³³ Should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, just as I had mercy on you?' ³⁴ And in anger his master delivered him to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed. ³⁵ So also my heavenly Father will do to each of you, if you do not forgive your brother from your heart."

²⁵ And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.

²⁰ And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion for him, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.

³² Be kind and tenderhearted to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

¹⁷ I rejoice at the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they have supplied what was lacking on your part.

⁷ For it is only right for me to feel this way about you all, because I have you in my heart, since both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers of grace with me.

³⁰ because he almost died for the work of Christ, risking his life to complete what was deficient in your service to me.

⁷ Who at any time serves as a soldier at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? Who tends a flock and does not drink of the milk?

¹⁷ For if I do this voluntarily, I have a reward; but if it is not of my will, I have a stewardship entrusted to me.

²⁴ Not that we lord it over your faith; but we work with you for your joy, for you stand firm in your faith.

¹² For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a man has, not according to what he does not have.

⁵ So I thought it necessary to urge the brethren to go on to you before me, and arrange in advance for this gift you have promised, so that it may be ready not as an exaction but as a willing gift.

⁷ Each one must give just as he has purposed in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

⁸ Therefore, though I am bold enough in Christ to order you to do what is proper, ⁹ yet for love's sake I rather appeal to yousince I am such a person as Paul, the aged, and now also a prisoner of Christ Jesus

² shepherd the flock of God that is under your care, serving as overseersnot under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness; ³ not as lording it over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock.

²⁸ to do whatever your hand and your plan had predestined to take place.

⁸ But you are not to be called 'Rabbi,' for you have only one Master, and you are all brethren.

¹⁷ So Ananias departed and entered the house. And after laying his hands on him said, "Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road by which you were coming, has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit."

²² For he who was called in the Lord as a slave is the Lord's freedman; likewise he who was free when called is Christ's slave.

²⁸ Now you, brethren, like Isaac, are children of promise. ²⁹ But as at that time he who was born according to the flesh persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, so it is now.

⁵ Slaves, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ; ⁶ not in the way of eye-service, as men-pleasers, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart. ⁷ Render service with good will, as to the Lord, and not to men,

²² Slaves, in everything obey those who are your masters according to the flesh, not with eye-service, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord.

² Those who have believing masters must not be disrespectful to them because they are brethren, but they must serve them all the better, because those who benefit by their service are believers and beloved. Teach and urge these duties.

¹ Therefore, holy brethren, who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession.

²² Since you have purified your souls by obedience to the truth for a sincere love of the brethren, love one another earnestly from the heart. ²³ For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

¹ Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the parent loves the child.

⁴⁰ "He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me.

⁴⁸ But he replied to the man who told him, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?" ⁴⁹ And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers! ⁵⁰ For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."

⁵ Whoever receives one little child like this in my name receives me.

⁴⁰ And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.'

¹⁵ When she and her household had been baptized, she urged us, saying, "If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house and stay." And she prevailed upon us.

²³ As for Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker among you; and as for our brethren, they are messengers of the churches, a glory to Christ.

⁶ that is, how the Gentiles are fellow heirs and members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.

¹⁰ 10 I appeal to you for my child, Onesimus, whose father I have become in my imprisonment.

¹⁴ For we have come to share in Christ if we hold our first confidence firm to the end,

⁵ Listen, my beloved brethren: has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which he has promised to those who love him?

¹ So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ and a partaker in the glory that is to be revealed,

³ that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you may have fellowship with us; and our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.

¹ Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord? ² If to others I am not an apostle, at least I am to you; for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.

²¹ I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand. ²² If anyone does not love the Lordlet him be accursed. Come, O Lord!

² You yourselves are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men.

² Behold I, Paul, say to you that if you receive circumcision, Christ will be of no benefit to you.

¹¹ See with what large letters I am writing to you with my own hand.

¹⁹ My brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back, ²⁰ let him know that whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.

² For if I cause you pain, who is there to make me glad but the one whom I have pained?

⁴ I have great confidence in you; I have great pride in you; I am filled with comfort. With all our affliction, I am overflowing with joy. ⁵ For even when we came into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were afflicted at every turnconflicts on the outside and fears within. ⁶ But God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming of Titus, ⁷ and not only by his coming but also by the comfort with which he was comforted in you, as he told us of your longing, your mourning, your zeal for me, so that I rejoiced still more.

⁸ For God is my witness, how I long for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus.

¹ Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, ² make my joy complete by being of the same mind, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.

¹ Therefore, my brethren, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm thus in the Lord, my beloved.

¹⁹ For who is our hope or joy or crown of exultation? Is it not even you, in the presence of our Lord Jesus at his coming? ²⁰ For you are our glory and joy.

⁷ for this reason, brethren, in all our distress and affliction we were comforted about you through your faith; ⁸ for now we really live, if you stand firm in the Lord. ⁹ For what thanksgiving can we render to God for you in return for all the joy which we feel for your sake before our God,

¹⁷ Obey your leaders and submit to them; for they are keeping watch over your souls, as men who will have to give account. Let them do this with joy, and not with grief, for that would be of no advantage to you.

¹⁷ But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him?

⁴ I have no greater joy than this, to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

³ And I wrote as I did, so that when I came I might not suffer pain from those who should have made me rejoice, for I had confidence in all of you, that my joy would be the joy of you all.

¹⁶ I rejoice, because I have perfect confidence in you.

²² And with them we are sending our brother whom we have often proved diligent in many matters, but who is now more diligent than ever because of his great confidence in you.

¹⁰ I have confidence in the Lord that you will take no other view than mine; and the one who is troubling you will bear his judgment, whoever he is.

⁴ And we have confidence in the Lord about you, that you are doing and will continue to do the things which we command.

²³ When they had appointed a day for Paul, they came to him at his lodging in great numbers. And he explained the matter to them from morning till evening, testifying to the kingdom of God and trying to convince them about Jesus both from the law of Moses and from the prophets.

²⁴ I plan to do so when I go to Spain. I hope to see you while passing through, and to be helped by you on my journey there, after I have enjoyed your company for a while.

³⁰ Now I urge you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God for me, ³¹ that I may be delivered from the unbelievers in Judea, and that my service for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints, ³² so that by God's will I may come to you with joy, and together with you be refreshed.

¹¹ You also must help us by your prayers, so that many will give thanks on our behalf for the blessing granted us in answer to the prayers of many.

¹⁹ for I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance,

²⁵ Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith, ²⁶ so that your proud confidence in me may abound in Christ Jesus through my coming to you again.

²⁴ and I trust in the Lord that shortly I myself will come also.

²³ You should know that our brother Timothy has been released, with whom I will see you if he comes soon.

¹⁶ Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

¹² Though I have much to write to you, I do not want to use paper and ink, but I hope to come to see you and talk with you face to face, so that our joy may be complete.

¹⁴ I hope to see you soon, and we will talk face to face. Peace to you. The friends here send their greetings. Greet the friends there by name.

⁷ Greet Andronicus and Junias, my kinsmen and my fellow prisoners; they are men of note among the apostles, and they were in Christ before me.

⁷ as you learned it from Epaphras, our beloved fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on our behalf,

¹⁰ My fellow prisoner Aristarchus sends you his greetings, and also Mark, the cousin of Barnabas (about whom you have received instructions; if he comes to you, welcome him.)

¹² Epaphras, who is one of your number, a servant of Jesus Christ, sends you his greetings, always laboring earnestly for you in his prayers, that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God.

¹² When he realized this, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of John who was also called Mark, where many were gathered together and were praying.

²⁵ And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem when they had fulfilled their mission, taking along with them John, who was also called Mark.

¹³ Now Paul and his companions put out to sea from Paphos and came to Perga in Pamphylia; but John left them and returned to Jerusalem.

³⁷ Barnabas wanted to take John, also called Mark, with them. ³⁸ But Paul kept insisting that they should not take along one who had deserted them in Pamphylia, and had not gone with them to the work. ³⁹ There arose such a sharp disagreement that they separated from one another, and Barnabas took Mark with him and sailed away to Cyprus.

²⁹ The city was filled with the confusion, and they rushed with one accord into the theater, dragging along Gaius and Aristarchus, Paul's traveling companions from Macedonia.

² And embarking in a ship from Adramyttium, which was about to sail to the ports along the coast of Asia, we put out to sea, accompanied by Aristarchus, a Macedonian from Thessalonica.

¹⁴ Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas send you greetings.

¹⁰ for Demas, having loved this present world, has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia. ¹¹ Only Luke is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is useful to me in my ministry.

¹ Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon our beloved brother and fellow worker, ² and to Apphia our sister, and to Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church in your house:

⁸ Therefore we ought to support such men, so that we may be fellow workers in the truth.

²⁰ And the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

²³ Gaius, who is my host and the host of the whole church, greets you. Erastus, the treasurer of the city, greets you, and Quartus, our brother.

¹⁸ The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brethren. Amen.

²² The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you.
