1 Peter 4:1 Cross References - Darby

¹ Christ, then, having suffered for us in [the] flesh, do *ye* also arm yourselves with the same mind; for he that has suffered in [the] flesh has done with sin,

¹⁶ Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; -- cease to do evil,

⁴¹ And they shall burn thy houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women; and I will cause thee to cease from being a harlot, and thou also shalt give no more any reward.

² Far be the thought. We who have died to sin, how shall we still live in it?

⁷ For he that has died is justified from sin.

¹¹ So also *ye*, reckon yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.

¹² The night is far spent, and the day is near; let us cast away therefore the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. ¹³ As in the day, let us walk becomingly; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and lasciviousness, not in strife and emulation. ¹⁴ But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not take forethought for the flesh to [fulfil its] lusts.

²⁰ I am crucified with Christ, and no longer live, *I*, but Christ lives in me; but [in] that I now live in flesh, I live by faith, the [faith] of the Son of God, who has loved me and given himself for me.

²⁴ But they that [are] of the Christ have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts.

¹³ For this reason take [to you] the panoply of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having accomplished all things, to stand.

⁵ For let this mind be in you which [was] also in Christ Jesus;

³ for ye have died, and your life is hid with the Christ in God. ⁴ When the Christ is manifested who [is] our life, then shall *ye* also be manifested with him in glory. ⁵ Put to death therefore your members which [are] upon the earth, fornication, uncleanness, vile passions, evil lust, and unbridled desire, which is idolatry.

¹⁰ For he that has entered into his rest, he also has rested from his works, as God did from his own.

³ For consider well him who endured so great contradiction from sinners against himself, that ye be not weary, fainting in your minds.

¹⁸ for Christ indeed has once suffered for sins, [the] just for [the] unjust, that he might bring us to God; being put to death in flesh, but made alive in [the] Spirit,
