¹⁰ And let these be first proved, then let them minister, being without charge [against them].

¹ But in those days, the disciples multiplying in number, there arose a murmuring of the Hellenists against the Hebrews because their widows were overlooked in the daily ministration. ² And the twelve, having called the multitude of the disciples to [them], said, It is not right that we, leaving the word of God, should serve tables.

⁸ who shall also confirm you to [the] end, unimpeachable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

²² in the body of his flesh through death; to present you holy and unblamable and irreproachable before it,

² The overseer then must be irreproachable, husband of one wife, sober, discreet, decorous, hospitable, apt to teach;

⁶ not a novice, that he may not, being inflated, fall into [the] fault of the devil.

¹³ for those who shall have ministered well obtain for themselves a good degree, and much boldness in faith which [is] in Christ Jesus.

²² Lay hands quickly on no man, nor partake in others` sins. Keep thyself pure.

⁶ if any one be free from all charge [against him], husband of one wife, having believing children not accused of excess or unruly. ⁷ For the overseer must be free from all charge [against him] as God`s steward; not headstrong, not passionate, not disorderly through wine, not a striker, not seeking gain by base means;

¹ Beloved, believe not every spirit, but prove the spirits, if they are of God; because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
