And it came to pass that every one who sought the LORD went out unto the tabernacle of the testimony, which was outside the camp. ⁸ And it came to pass when Moses would go out unto the tabernacle, that all the people would rise up and stand each one at the door of their tent, with their gaze following Moses until he was gone into the tabernacle. ⁹ And when Moses would enter into the tabernacle, the pillar of cloud would descend and stand at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD would talk with Moses. ¹⁰ And when all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door, all the people would rise up, each one in the door of their tent, and worship. ¹¹ And the LORD would speak unto Moses face to face, as anyone would speak unto their friend. And he would turn again into the camp, but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart out of the tabernacle. ¹² ¶ And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring this people out, and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou saith, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight. ¹³ Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, show me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight; and consider that this nation is thy people. ¹⁴ And he said, My presence {Heb. faces} shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. ¹⁵ And he said unto him, If thy presence {Heb. faces} is not to go before us, do not bring us out of here. ¹⁶ For in what shall it be known here that I have found grace in thy sight, I and thy people, but in that thou goest with us, and I and thy people will be separated from all the peoples that are upon the face of the earth? ¹⁷ And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken because thou hast found grace in my sight, and I have known thee by name. ¹⁸ Then he said, I beseech thee, show me thy glory. ¹⁹ And he replied, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name that I AM before thee; and I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy and will show clemency on whom I will show clemency. ²⁰ He further said, Thou canst not see my face; for no man shall see me and live. ²¹ And the LORD continued saying, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon the rock; ²² and it shall come to pass while my glory passes by, that I will put thee in a cleft of the rock and will cover thee with my hand until I have passed by. ²³ Then I will take away my hand, and thou shalt see my back parts, but my face {Heb. faces} shall not be seen.

⁸ ¶ But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

¹⁹ behold now, thy slave has found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast showed unto me in saving my life; but I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die.

³ abide in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these lands, and I will confirm the oath which I swore unto Abraham thy father;

This is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all ages.

²² And I will separate in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no kind of flies shall be there to the end that thou may know that I am the LORD in the midst of the earth.

⁵ And when the LORD shall have brought thee into the land of the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite and the Hivite and the Jebusite, which he swore unto thy fathers to give thee, a land flowing with milk and honey, that thou shalt do this service in this month.

These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the sons of Israel.

²⁰ ¶ Behold, I send the Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. ²¹ Keep thyself before him and hear his voice, grieve him not; for he will not pardon your rebellion, for my name is in him.

²⁷ I will send my fear before thee and will trouble all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee. ²⁸ And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite from before thee. ²⁹ I will not drive them out from before thee in one year lest the land become desolate and the beasts of the field multiply against thee. ³⁰ Little by little I will drive them out from before thee until thou be multiplied and take the land by inheritance. ³¹ And I will set thy borders from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines and from the desert unto the river; for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and thou shalt drive them out before thee.

²² And there I will meet with thee, and I will speak with thee from above the seat of reconciliation, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the sons of Israel.

⁴² This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your ages at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony before the LORD, where I will concert with you, to speak there unto you. ⁴³ And there I will testify of myself unto the sons of Israel, and the place shall be sanctified with my glory.

¹⁸ And he gave unto Moses, when he finished speaking with him upon Mount Sinai, two tables of the testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.

⁹ And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us, for this is a stiffnecked people, and forgive our iniquity and our sin and possess us. ¹⁰ ¶ And he said, Behold, I make a covenant before all thy people: I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among whom thou art shall see the work of the LORD; for it shall be a terrible thing that I will do with thee. ¹¹ Keep that which I command thee this day; behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

⁶ Then Moses said unto Aaron and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Do not uncover your heads, neither rend your clothes lest ye die and lest wrath come upon the whole congregation; but your brethren, the whole house of Israel, shall lament the burning which the LORD has done.

²⁴ But I have said unto you, Ye shall possess their land, and I will give it unto you in possession of inheritance, a land that flows with milk and honey. I AM your God, who have separated you from the other peoples.

¹⁷ And I will come down and talk with thee there, and I will take of the spirit which is in thee and will put it upon them, and they shall bear the burden of the people with thee, that thou bear it not thyself alone.

⁸ With him I will speak mouth to mouth and by sight not by enigmas; he shall see the similitude of the LORD. Why then were ye not afraid to speak against my slave Moses?

²⁷ And they told him and said, We came unto the land where thou didst send us, and surely it flows with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.

³⁹ And Moses told these things unto all the sons of Israel, and the people mourned greatly.

²⁹ But if from there, thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

³⁴ Or has God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by trials, by signs and by wonders and by war and by a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

⁴ The LORD spoke with you face to face in the mount out of the midst of the fire

²⁴ and ye said, Behold, the LORD our God has shown us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire; we have seen this day that God does talk with man, and he lives.

³¹ But as for thee, stand thou here by me, and I will speak unto thee all the commandments and the statutes and the rights, which thou shalt teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to inherit.

²² And the LORD thy God will put out those Gentiles before thee little by little; thou may not consume them at once lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee.

⁶ Understand, therefore, that the LORD thy God does not give thee this good land to inherit because of thy righteousness, for thou art a stiffnecked people. ⁷ ¶ Remember, and forget not, how thou hast provoked the LORD thy God to wrath in the wilderness; from the day that thou didst depart out of the land of Egypt until ye came unto this place, ye have been rebellious against the LORD. ⁸ Also in Horeb ye provoked the LORD to wrath, so that the LORD was angry with you to have destroyed you. ⁹ When I climbed up into the mount to receive the tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant which the LORD made with you, then I abode in the mount forty days and forty nights, without eating bread or drinking water; ¹⁰ and the LORD delivered unto me two tables of stone written with the finger of God, and on them was written according to all the words which the LORD spoke with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly. ¹¹ And it came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights that the LORD gave me the two tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant. ¹² And the LORD said unto me, Arise, go down quickly from here, for thy people which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt have corrupted themselves; they are quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made themselves a molten image. ¹³ Furthermore, the LORD spoke unto me, saying, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people.

²⁶ I prayed, therefore, unto the LORD and said, O Lord GOD, destroy not thy people and thine inheritance, which thou hast ransomed through thy greatness, which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand.

²⁶ ¶ I said I would shatter them in pieces: I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men, ²⁷ if I did not fear the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should become vain and lest they should say, Our high hand has done this and not the LORD.

⁵ No one shall be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee; I will not fail thee nor forsake thee.

⁶ For the sons of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness until all the people that were men of war, who had come out of Egypt, were consumed because they did not listen to the voice of the LORD; therefore, the LORD swore unto them that he would not let them see the land which the LORD had sworn unto their fathers that he would give us, a land that flows with milk and honey.

⁴ And he that flees unto one of these cities shall present himself at the entering of the gate of the city and shall declare his cause in the ears of the elders of that city; they shall receive him into the city among them and give him a place, that he may dwell among them.

²⁴ ¶ Mephibosheth, the son of Saul, also came down to meet the king and had neither washed his feet nor trimmed his beard nor washed his clothes, from the day the king departed until the day he came again in peace.

²⁵ And they took strong cities and fertile land and inherited houses full of all goods, hewn cisterns, vineyards and oliveyards and many trees of good fruit; so they ate and were filled and became fat and delighted themselves in thy great goodness.

¹ ¶ When Mordecai perceived all that was done, Mordecai rent his clothes and put on sackcloth with ashes and went out into the midst of the city and cried with a loud and a bitter cry ² and came before the king’s gate; for no one was allowed to enter into the king’s gate clothed with sackcloth. ³ And in each province, wherever the king’s commandment and his law came, there was great mourning among the Jews and fasting and weeping and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes. ⁴ So Esther’s maids and her eunuchs came and told her. Then the queen was grieved exceedingly, and she sent raiment to clothe Mordecai and to take away his sackcloth from him; but he did not receive it.

²⁰ ¶ Then Job arose and rent his mantle and shaved his head and fell down upon the ground and worshipped

¹² And when they lifted up their eyes afar off and knew him not, they lifted up their voice and wept; and each one rent his mantle and sprinkled dust upon his head toward heaven.

⁷ ¶ Canst thou by searching find out God? Canst thou come unto the perfection of the Almighty?

²¹ O that a man might dispute with God, as he can with his neighbour!

¹⁴ Behold, these are parts of his ways; but how little a portion have we heard of him? For the thunder of his power, who shall understand?

²⁰ In a moment they shall die, and the peoples shall be troubled at midnight and shall pass away; and the mighty shall be taken away without hand.

⁶ For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

⁶ ¶ There are many that say, Who will show us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.

¹ ¶ Why dost thou stand afar off, O LORD? Why dost thou hide thyself in times of trouble?

² The LORD is my rock and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

⁴ Daleth Show me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.

¹³ Mem His soul shall rest in that which is good; and his seed shall inherit the earth.

⁸ My heart has spoken unto me from thee, Seek my face. Thy face, O LORD, will I seek.

¹¹ Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a right path because of my enemies.

²² This thou hast seen, O LORD; do not keep silence; O Lord, do not be far from me.

⁴ Blessed is the man whom thou dost choose and cause to approach unto thee that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house even of thy holy temple.

¹⁹ How they are brought into desolation, as in a moment! They have come to an end; they are utterly consumed with terrors.

⁸ and might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that did not set their heart aright and whose spirit was not steadfast with God.

¹¹ Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth; firm up my heart that I might fear thy name.

¹ ¶ He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

⁴ He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings thou shalt be secure: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

¹¹ unto whom I swore in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.

⁷ He spoke unto them in the pillar of fire; they kept his testimonies and the order that he gave them.

³³ ¶ HE. Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes, and I shall keep it unto the end.

²³ Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my thoughts

²⁰ He has not dealt so with the other nations, which have not known his judgments. Halelu-JAH.

²⁹ ¶ The LORD is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.

⁷ ¶ Tell me, O thou whom my soul loves, where thou dost feed, where thou dost make thy flock to rest at noon; for why did I have to be as a wanderer after the flocks of thy companions? ⁸ If thou know not, O thou fairest among women, go forth, following the footprints of the flock and feed thy little female goats beside the booths of the shepherds.

³ ¶ As the apple tree among the trees of the wild, so is my beloved among the sons. I desired to sit under his shadow, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.

²¹ to go into the clefts of the rocks and into the caverns of the cliffs from before the fearful presence of the LORD and from the glory of his majesty, when he shall arise to smite the earth.

⁵ ¶ Then I said, Woe is me! for I am dead because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of the hosts.

¹⁴ Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son and shall call his name Immanuel.

⁶ For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government is placed upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called The Wonderful One, The Counsellor, The God, The Mighty One, The Eternal Father, The Prince of Peace.

⁴ ¶ And in that day ye shall say, Sing unto the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the peoples, remember how his name is exalted.

¹² Therefore the Lord GOD of the hosts did call in this day unto weeping and to mourning and to baldness and to girding with sackcloth:

²¹ Then thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, that ye not turn to the right hand and that ye not turn to the left hand.

² And that man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a hot land.

¹¹ Tremble, ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones: strip you, and make yourselves bare, and gird sackcloth upon your loins.

⁸ I am the LORD. This is my name, and my glory I will not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

¹ ¶ But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Do not fear, for I have redeemed thee, I have named thee; Thou art mine.

⁶ ¶ Seek the LORD while he may be found; call upon him while he is near: ⁷ Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

⁵ even unto them will I give in my house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall never be cut off.

² But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

⁹ In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the Angel of his face saved them: with his love and with his clemency he redeemed them; and he bore them and carried them all the days of the age.

¹⁷ O LORD, why hast thou made us to err from thy ways? Hast thou hardened our heart to thy fear? Return for thy slaves, for the tribes of thine inheritance.

¹⁹ We have been like those over whom thou didst never rule, who were never called by thy name.

²⁴ And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

⁵ Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the Gentiles.

¹⁹ Thine own wickedness shall chastise thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee; know therefore and see how evil and bitter it is, that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God and that my fear is lacking in thee, saith the Lord GOD of the hosts.

¹⁶ Thus hath the LORD said, Stand ye in the ways and see and ask for the old paths, where the good way is and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

⁵ that I may confirm the oath which I have sworn unto your fathers, that I would give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day. Then I answered, and said, Amen, O LORD.

⁷ In an instant I shall speak against Gentiles and against kingdoms, to pluck up and to pull down and to destroy. ⁸ But if these Gentiles shall turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them. ⁹ And in an instant I shall speak concerning the nation and concerning the kingdom, to build and to plant it; ¹⁰ but if it should do evil in my sight, not hearing my voice, then I will repent of the good that I had determined to do unto them.

¹² Therefore they shall come and do praises in the height of Zion and shall run unto the goodness of the LORD, unto the bread, and unto the wine, and unto the oil, and unto the gain of the flock and of the herd and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.

¹⁴ And I will satiate the soul of the priest with fatness, and my people shall be filled with my goodness, said the LORD.

⁶ Vau For the iniquity of the daughter of my people has increased more than the sin of Sodom, that was overthrown as in a moment, and companies did not camp upon her.

¹⁸ When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die and thou dost not give him warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, that he might live, the same wicked man shall die for his iniquity; but his blood I will require at thine hand. ¹⁹ Yet if thou warn the wicked and he does not turn from his wickedness nor from his wicked way, he shall die for his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

²² ¶ And the hand of the LORD came upon me there; and he said unto me, Arise, go forth into the plain, and I will talk with thee there.

¹⁷ Forbear to cry, make no mourning for the dead, bind thy turban upon thy head, and put on thy shoes upon thy feet and do not cover thy lips and do not eat the bread of comfort.

²³ And your turbans shall be upon your heads and your shoes upon your feet: ye shall not mourn nor weep; but ye shall pine away for your iniquities and cry out one with another.

¹⁶ Then all the princes of the sea shall come down from their thrones and lay away their robes and put off their broidered garments: they shall clothe themselves with trembling; they shall sit upon the ground and shall tremble at every moment and be astonished at thee.

¹³ When I am saying to the righteous, Thou shalt shall surely live and he trusting in his own righteousness commits iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he has committed, he shall die for it. ¹⁴ And, when I am saying unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turns from his sin, and does judgment and righteousness ¹⁵ if the wicked restores the pledge, returns that which he had robbed, walks in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity he shall surely live; he shall not die. ¹⁶ None of his sins that he has committed shall be mentioned unto him. Has he lived according to judgment and righteousness? He shall surely live.

¹⁴ And they have not cried unto me with their heart when they howled upon their beds; they congregated themselves for the wheat and the wine, and they rebelled against me.

¹² Though they bring up their sons, yet I will bereave them, that there shall not be a man left; yea, woe also to them when I depart from them!

¹⁷ Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Forgive thy people, O LORD, and do not give thine heritage to reproach that the Gentiles should rule over her: why should they say among the peoples, Where is their God?

¹³ Hear ye, and protest in the house of Jacob, said the Lord GOD, the God of the hosts, ¹⁴ that in the day that I shall visit the rebellions of Israel upon him, I will also visit upon the altars of Bethel, and the horns of the altar shall be cut off and fall to the ground.

⁴ And Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be destroyed.

⁶ For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he threw his robe from him and covered himself with sackcloth and sat in ashes.

¹⁰ And God saw their works, because they turned from their evil way, and he repented of the evil that he had said that he would do unto them, and he did not do it.

⁷ Thus saith the LORD of the hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also govern my house and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee a place among these that are here.

³ and to speak unto the priests which were in the house of the LORD of the hosts and to the prophets, saying, Should we weep in the fifth month? Should we do abstinence as we have done these so many years?

⁵ Speak unto all the people of the land and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh month, even those seventy years, did ye at all fast unto me, even to me?

¹⁷ For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! The wheat shall make the young men cheerful, and the wine the maids.

²³ Behold, a virgin shall conceive and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is God With Us.

⁷ ¶ Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you; ⁸ for every one that asks receives, and he that seeks finds, and to him that knocks it shall be opened.

²⁸ Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

²⁰ teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and, behold, I am with you always even unto the end of the age. Amen.

¹ ¶ Then all the publicans and sinners drew near unto him to hear him.

¹³ And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God, reconcile me, a sinner.

¹⁸ No man has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared him.

²⁹ He that has the bride is the bridegroom, but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice; this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

¹⁴ I AM the good shepherd, and know my sheep and am known of mine. ¹⁵ As the Father knows me, even so I know the Father, and I lay down my soul for the sheep.

¹¹ Having said that he said unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may awake him out of sleep.

¹⁴ Ye are my friends if ye do whatsoever I command you. ¹⁵ From now on I do not call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his lord does; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

²³ ¶ And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give you.

³ And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

⁵¹ ¶ Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do ye.

⁴ Or dost thou despise the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering, ignoring that the goodness of God leads thee to repentance?

¹⁵ For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. ¹⁶ So then it is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that has mercy. ¹⁷ For the scripture saith of Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might show my power in thee and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. ¹⁸ Therefore he has mercy on whom he will have mercy, and he hardens whom he will.

²³ and making known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he has prepared unto glory?

²⁸ So that, as concerning the gospel, I have them for enemies for your sakes; but as touching the election of God, they are beloved for the fathers’ sakes.

⁴ and did all drink the same spiritual drink, for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them; and that Rock was the Christ.

¹² For now we see as through a mirror, in darkness, but then we shall see face to face; now I know in part, but then I shall know even as I also am known.

¹⁸ Therefore we all, beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord with uncovered face, are transformed from glory to glory into the same likeness, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

⁶ For the God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts to bring forth the light of the knowledge of the clarity of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

¹⁹ for certainly God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them and having placed in us the word of reconciliation.

¹⁷ Therefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and do not touch the unclean thing; and I will receive you

⁶ to the praise of the glory of his grace, in which he has made us accepted in the beloved; ⁷ in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of his grace, ⁸ which has over abounded in us in all wisdom and prudence;

¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him;

¹⁰ that ye might walk worthy of the Lord, pleasing him in everything, being fruitful in every good work, and growing in the knowledge of God,

¹⁶ the only one who has immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto, whom no man has seen nor can see, to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

¹⁹ ¶ Nevertheless, the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal, The Lord knows those that are his. And, Let every one that names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

¹³ waiting for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ,

¹³ But to which of the angels did he say at any time, Sit on my right hand until I make thine enemies thy footstool?

⁸ For if Jesus {Joshua in Heb.} had given them rest, then he would not afterward have spoken of another day. ⁹ There remains therefore a rest {Gr. Sabbatismos} for the people of God.

¹¹ For the bodies of those animals, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned outside the camp. ¹² Therefore, Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered outside the gate. ¹³ Let us go forth, therefore, unto him outside the camp, bearing his reproach.

²³ And that the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness, and he was called the Friend of God.

¹⁶ Confess your faults one to another and pray one for another that ye may be whole. The effectual prayer of the righteous is very powerful.

¹⁸ But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and until the day of eternity. Amen.

¹⁴ ¶ And this is the confidence that we have in God, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he hears us: ¹⁵ And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we also know that we have the petitions that we asked of him.

¹⁶ And he had in his right hand seven stars, and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword, and his countenance was as the sun when it shines in its strength. ¹⁷ And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I AM the first and the last,

²³ And the city had no need of the sun neither of the moon to shine in her, for the clarity of God has illuminated it, and the Lamb is its lamp.
