³³ And thou shalt hang up the veil under the hooks, and thou shalt bring in there, inside the veil, the ark of the testimony; and that veil shall separate for you between the holy place and the holy of holies.

⁷ The tabernacle of the testimony and the ark of the testimony and the seat of reconciliation that shall be upon it and all the vessels of the tabernacle

³ And thou shalt put therein the ark of the testimony and cover the ark with the veil.

²⁰ And he took and put the testimony into the ark and set the staves on the ark and put the seat of reconciliation upon the ark above, ²¹ and he brought the ark into the tabernacle and set up the veil of the curtain and covered the ark of the testimony, as the LORD commanded Moses.

³³ Thus they departed from the mount of the LORD three days’ journey, and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them in the three days’ journey, searching out a resting place for them. ³⁴ And the cloud of the LORD was upon them by day, from when they went out of the camp. ³⁵ And it came to pass, when the ark was moved, that Moses said, Rise up, LORD, and let thine enemies be scattered, and let those that hate thee flee before thee. ³⁶ And when it rested, he said, Return, O LORD, unto the ten thousands of Israel.

³ And thou shalt cover it with pure gold, its top and its sides round about, and its horns; and thou shalt make unto it a moulding of gold round about.

¹⁴ and they shall put upon it all the vessels thereof with which they minister about it: the censers, the fleshhooks, the shovels, and the basins, all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread upon it a covering of badgers’ skins and put in the staves of it. ¹⁵ And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary and all the vessels of the sanctuary when the camp is to set forward, after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it, but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the testimony.

¹⁵ But the Lord said unto him, Go; for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel;

⁷ that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold (which perishes, nevertheless it is tried with fire), might be found unto praise and glory and honour when Jesus, the Christ, is made manifest;

¹⁸ knowing that ye have been ransomed from your vain conversation (which you received from your fathers), not with corruptible things like silver and gold, ¹⁹ but with the precious blood of the Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without contamination,

⁵⁰ But thou shalt place the Levites in the tabernacle of the testimony and over all the vessels thereof and over all things that belong to it; they shall bear the tabernacle and all the vessels thereof; and they shall minister in it and shall encamp round about the tabernacle.

¹⁵ And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary and all the vessels of the sanctuary when the camp is to set forward, after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it, but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the testimony.

³ And they set the ark of God upon a new cart and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah, and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab drove the new cart. ⁴ And when they brought it out of the house of Abinadab, which was at Gibeah, with the ark of God, Ahio went before the ark. ⁵ And David and all the house of Israel danced before the LORD with all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps and on psalteries and on timbrels and on cornets and on cymbals. ⁶ ¶ And when they came to Nachon’s threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen shook it. ⁷ And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah, and God smote him there for his effrontery, and there he died by the ark of God.

¹² After that he shall take the censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before the LORD and his hands full of aromatic incense beaten small and bring it inside the veil. ¹³ And he shall put the incense upon the fire before the LORD, and the cloud of the incense shall cover the seat of reconciliation that is upon the testimony, and he shall not die. ¹⁴ Then he shall take of the blood of the bullock and sprinkle it with his finger towards the seat of reconciliation eastward; towards the seat of reconciliation he shall sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times. ¹⁵ ¶ After that, he shall kill the goat of the sin of the people and bring its blood inside the veil and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bullock and sprinkle it upon the seat of reconciliation and before the seat of reconciliation;

¹¹ ¶ Then David gave to Solomon, his son, the pattern of the porch and of its houses and of its treasuries and of its upper chambers and of its inner parlours and of the place of the seat of reconciliation,

²⁵ whom God purposed for reconciliation through faith in his blood for the manifestation of his righteousness, for the remission of sins that are past, by the patience of God,

⁴ but when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

¹⁴ who gave himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify unto himself a people of his own, zealous of good works.

⁵ and over it the cherubim of glory shadowing the seat of reconciliation, of which we cannot now speak particularly.

² and he is the reconciliation for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

²³ And within the oracle he made two cherubims of olive wood, each ten cubits high. ²⁴ And one wing of the cherub was five cubits, and the other wing of the cherub five cubits; from the uttermost part of the one wing unto the uttermost part of the other were ten cubits. ²⁵ Likewise, the other cherub was ten cubits, for both the cherubims were of one measure and one size. ²⁶ The height of one cherub was ten cubits, and so was the other cherub. ²⁷ And he set the cherubims within the inner house, and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house. ²⁸ And he overlaid the cherubims with gold. ²⁹ And he carved all the walls of the house round about with carved figures of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers, within and without.

A testimony of Asaph: A Psalm. ¶ Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubim, shine forth.

⁴ who makes his angels spirits, his ministers a flaming fire,

² And he spoke to the man clothed with linen and said, Go in between the wheels under the cherubim and fill thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubim, and scatter them over the city. And he went in, in my sight.

²⁴ So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubim and a flaming sword which turned every way to keep the way of the tree of life.

¹² And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven; and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.

²⁰ And the cherubim shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the seat of reconciliation with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the seat of reconciliation shall the faces of the cherubim be.

² Above it stood the seraphims; each one had six wings; with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.

And he went in, in my sight. ³ Now the cherubim stood on the right side of the house when this man went in, and the cloud filled the inner court. ⁴ And the glory of the LORD had gone up from the cherubim to the threshold of the door, and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD’s glory. ⁵ And the thunder of the cherubim’s wings was heard even to the outer court as the voice of the Almighty God when he speaks. ⁶ And it came to pass that when he had commanded the man clothed with linen, saying, Take fire from between the wheels, from between the cherubim; then he went in and stood among the wheels. ⁷ And one cherubim stretched forth his hand from between the cherubim unto the fire that was between the cherubim and took thereof and put it into the hands of him that was clothed with linen, who took it and went out. ⁸ ¶ And there appeared in the cherubim the form of a man’s hand under their wings. ⁹ And when I looked, behold, four wheels by the cherubim, one wheel by each cherubim; and the colour of the wheels was as a stone of Tarsis or beryl. ¹⁰ And as for their appearance, the four were the same, as if one were in the midst of another. ¹¹ When they went, they went upon their four sides; they did not turn as they went, but to the place where the first one went, they followed it; they did not turn as they went. ¹² And all their flesh and their ribs and their hands and their wings and the wheels: they were full of eyes round about in their four wheels. ¹³ To the wheels, it was shouted unto them in my hearing, Roll! ¹⁴ And each one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherubim; the second face was the face of a man; the third the face of a lion; the fourth the face of an eagle. ¹⁵ And the cherubim rose up. These are the living creatures that I saw by the river of Chebar. ¹⁶ And when the cherubim went, the wheels went with them; and when the cherubim lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the same wheels also did not turn from beside them. ¹⁷ When they stood still, these stood still; and when they lifted up themselves, these lifted up themselves also; for the spirit of the living creatures was in them. ¹⁸ And the glory of the LORD departed from off the threshold of the house and stood over the cherubim. ¹⁹ And the cherubim lifted up their wings and mounted up from the earth in my sight; when they went out, the wheels also were in front of them, and they stood at the entrance of the east gate of the LORD’s house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above. ²⁰ These were the living creatures that I saw under the God of Israel by the river of Chebar; and I knew that they were cherubim. ²¹ Each one had four faces, and each one four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings. ²² And the likeness of their faces was the same faces which I saw by the river of Chebar, their appearance and their being; each one went straight in the direction they were facing.

⁵¹ And he said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see the heaven open and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

¹⁸ Therefore we all, beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord with uncovered face, are transformed from glory to glory into the same likeness, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

¹⁰ To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the congregation {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} the manifold wisdom of God,

⁸ And doubtless I even count all things as loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ

¹⁶ And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

¹⁴ Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth in service for the love of those who are the heirs of saving health?

¹² Unto whom it was revealed that not unto themselves, but unto us they did administer the things, which are now announced unto you by those that have preached the gospel unto you by the Holy Spirit sent down from heaven, which things the angels desire to look into.

²³ ¶ Thou shalt likewise make a table of cedar wood; two cubits shall be its length and a cubit its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height. ²⁴ And thou shalt cover it with pure gold and make a moulding of gold round about it. ²⁵ And thou shalt make unto it a border of a handbreadth round about, and thou shalt make a golden moulding to its border round about. ²⁶ And thou shalt make for it four rings of gold and put the rings in the four corners that are on the four feet thereof. ²⁷ Over against the border shall the rings be for places of the staves to bear the table. ²⁸ And thou shalt make the staves of cedar wood and cover them with gold, that the table may be borne with them. ²⁹ And thou shalt make the dishes thereof and spoons thereof and covers thereof and bowls thereof to cover the bread; of pure gold shalt thou make them. ³⁰ And thou shalt set the showbread upon the table before me always.

¹³ the table and its staves and all its vessels, and the showbread;

⁴ And thou shalt bring in the table and set in order the things that are to be set in order upon it, and thou shalt bring in the lampstand and light its lamps.

²² And he put the table in the tabernacle of the testimony, upon the side of the Aquilon of the tabernacle, outside the veil. ²³ And he set the bread in order upon it before the LORD, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

³⁹ ¶ And in the porch of the gate were two tables on this side and two tables on that side, to slay the burnt offering upon and the sin and the guilt. ⁴⁰ And to the outside of the steps at the entry of the north gate were two tables; and on the other side, which was at the porch of the gate, were two tables. ⁴¹ Four tables were on this side, and four tables on that side, by the side of this gate; eight tables, upon which they slew their sacrifices. ⁴² And the four tables were of hewn stone for the burnt offering, of a cubit and a half long, and a cubit and a half broad, and one cubit high; upon which they also laid the instruments with which they slew the burnt offering and the sacrifice.

¹² And ye have profaned it when ye say, We die of hunger at the service of the LORD and when ye speak that his food is contemptible.

¹⁴ And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth.

¹⁶ And of his fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.

²⁷ to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery in the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory,

²⁹ And thou shalt make the dishes thereof and spoons thereof and covers thereof and bowls thereof to cover the bread; of pure gold shalt thou make them.

⁵⁰ likewise the bowls and the snuffers and the basins and the spoons and the censers of pure gold, also the hinges of gold, both for the doors of the inner house, the holy of holies, and for the doors of the house of the temple.

¹³ But of that money that was brought into the house of the LORD, they did not make bowls of silver nor snuffers nor basins nor trumpets nor any vessels of gold or vessels of silver for the house of the LORD

¹⁸ The caldrons also, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass with which they ministered, they took away. ¹⁹ And the basins, and the censers, and the bowls, and the caldrons, and the lampstands, and the spoons, and the cups; that which was of gold in gold, and that which was of silver in silver, the captain of the guard took away.

²⁰ But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of clay, and likewise some to honour, and some to dishonour.

³¹ ¶ And thou shalt make a lampstand of pure gold; of beaten work shall the lampstand be made; its base and its branches, its bowls, its knops, and its flowers shall be of the same. ³² And six branches shall come out of the sides of it, three branches of the lampstand out of the one side and three branches of the lampstand out of the other side, ³³ three bowls made like unto almonds with a knop and a flower in one branch, and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch with a knop and a flower; thus in the six branches that come out of the lampstand. ³⁴ And in the lampstand shall be four bowls made like unto almonds with their knops and their flowers. ³⁵ And there shall be a knop under two branches of the same, and another knop under two branches of the same, and another knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches that proceed out of the lampstand. ³⁶ Their knops and their branches shall be of the same; all of it shall be one beaten work of pure gold. ³⁷ And thou shalt make its seven lamps; and they shall light its lamps, that they may give light over against it. ³⁸ And its tongs, and its snuffdishes, shall be of pure gold. ³⁹ Of a talent of pure gold shall he make it, with all these vessels.

²⁴ And he put the lampstand in the tabernacle of the testimony, over against the table, on the side of the Negev of the tabernacle. ²⁵ And he lighted the lamps before the LORD, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

⁴ He shall order the lamps upon the pure lampstand before the LORD continually.

¹⁵ Gold by weight for the lampstands of gold, and for their lamps of gold, by weight for every lampstand, and for its lamps; and for the lampstands of silver by weight, both for the lampstand and also for its lamps, according to the service of each lampstand.

¹¹ and they burn unto the LORD every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices and aromatic incense, and they place the showbread upon the clean table, and the lampstand of gold with its lamps, to burn every evening; for we keep the charge of the LORD our God, but ye have forsaken him.

² and said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked and behold a lampstand all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and its seven lamps upon the lampstand, and seven pipes for the lamps, which are upon the top thereof:

¹¹ ¶ Then I spoke and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right hand side of the lampstand and upon the left hand side thereof?

¹⁵ Neither do men light a lamp and put it under a bushel, but on the lampstand, and it gives light unto all that are in the house.

⁴ In him was life, and the life was the light of men. ⁵ ¶ And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness apprehended it not. ⁶ There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. ⁷ The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. ⁸ He was not the Light, but was sent to bear witness of the Light. ⁹ That Word was the true Light, which lightens every man that comes into this world.

¹⁵ that ye may be blameless and innocent, children of God without rebuke in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world,

² For there was a tabernacle made: the first, in which was the lampstand and the table and the showbread, which is called the sanctuary.

¹² And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden lampstands

³³ three bowls made like unto almonds with a knop and a flower in one branch, and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch with a knop and a flower; thus in the six branches that come out of the lampstand.

⁸ ¶ And it came to pass that on the next day Moses went into the tabernacle of the testimony; and, behold, the rod of Aaron of the house of Levi had budded and blossomed and brought forth open flowers and yielded almonds.

⁵ when they shall also be afraid of that which is high, and fears shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and appetite shall fail: because man goes to the home of his age, and the mourners shall go about the streets;

¹¹ ¶ Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.

³⁵ And there shall be a knop under two branches of the same, and another knop under two branches of the same, and another knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches that proceed out of the lampstand.

³¹ ¶ And thou shalt make a lampstand of pure gold; of beaten work shall the lampstand be made; its base and its branches, its bowls, its knops, and its flowers shall be of the same.

¹⁷ The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

⁴ What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? Therefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, did it bring forth wild grapes? ⁵ And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away its hedge, and it shall be eaten up; and break down its wall, and it shall be trodden down:

¹⁰ For ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and the seed of an homer shall yield an ephah.

²⁷ but I keep my body under, and bring it into subjection, lest preaching to others, I myself should become reprobate.

⁵ ¶ Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil lust, and covetousness, which is idolatry;

³⁷ And thou shalt make its seven lamps; and they shall light its lamps, that they may give light over against it.

² Speak unto Aaron and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the face of the lampstand.

¹² And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden lampstands

²⁰ The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are the angels of the seven congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones}, and the seven lampstands which thou sawest are the seven congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones}.

⁵ And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices; and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

⁵ And one of the elders said unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, who has overcome to open the book and to loose its seven seals.

¹ ¶ In the same manner thou shalt make an altar to burn incense upon; of cedar wood shalt thou make it. ² Its length shall be a cubit and its width a cubit; it shall be square and its height two cubits; its horns shall be of the same. ³ And thou shalt cover it with pure gold, its top and its sides round about, and its horns; and thou shalt make unto it a moulding of gold round about. ⁴ And two golden rings shalt thou make to it under its moulding by its two corners on both sides for places for the staves to bear it with. ⁵ And thou shalt make the staves of cedar wood and cover them with gold.

⁵ And thou shalt set the altar of gold for the incense before the ark of the testimony and put the hanging of the door to the tabernacle.

²⁶ He also put the golden altar in the tabernacle of the testimony before the veil. ²⁷ And he burnt aromatic incense on it, as the LORD had commanded Moses.

¹⁶ ¶ But when he was strengthened, his heart lifted itself up unto corruption, for he rebelled against the LORD his God, entering into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense.

¹⁹ Ye fools and blind, for which one is greater, the gift or the altar that sanctifies the gift?

⁹ according to the custom of the priest’s office, his lot was to burn incense entering into the temple of the Lord. ¹⁰ And the whole multitude of the people were praying outside at the time of incense.

²⁵ Therefore he is able also to save to the uttermost those that come unto God by him, seeing he ever lives to make intercession for them.

¹⁰ We have an altar, of which those who serve the tabernacle have no faculty to eat.

⁵ ye also, as living stones, are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, well pleasing to God by Jesus, the Christ.

³ And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense of the prayers of all the saints, that he should offer upon the golden altar which was before the throne. ⁴ And the smoke of the incense of the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.

²³ Thou must take unto thee of the principal spices: of excellent myrrh five hundred shekels and of aromatic cinnamon half so much, even two hundred and fifty shekels, and of aromatic calamus two hundred and fifty shekels, ²⁴ and of cassia five hundred shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, and of oil olive one hin; ²⁵ and thou shalt make of it the oil of the holy anointing, a superior ointment, after the art of the apothecary, which shall be the oil of the holy anointing. ²⁶ And thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the testimony with it and the ark of the testimony ²⁷ and the table and all its vessels and the lampstand and its vessels and the altar of incense ²⁸ and the altar of burnt offering with all its vessels and the laver and its base. ²⁹ Thus thou shalt consecrate them, and they shall be most holy; whatever touches them shall be sanctified. ³⁰ And thou shalt also anoint Aaron and his sons and sanctify them that they may be my priests. ³¹ And thou shalt speak unto the sons of Israel, saying, This shall be my oil of the holy anointing throughout your ages. ³² It shall not be poured upon man’s flesh; neither shall ye make any other like it, after the composition of it; it is holy, and it shall be holy unto you. ³³ Whoever compounds any like it and puts any of it upon a stranger shall be cut off from his people. ³⁴ And the LORD said unto Moses, Take unto thee aromas, stacte and onycha and aromatic galbanum and pure frankincense, of each in equal weight. ³⁵ And thou shalt make it a perfume, a confection after the art of the apothecary, tempered together, pure and holy; ³⁶ and thou shalt beat some of it very small and put of it before the testimony in the tabernacle of the testimony, where I will testify unto thee of myself. It shall be most holy unto you. ³⁷ And as for the perfume which thou shalt make, ye shall not make to yourselves another according to the composition thereof: it shall be holiness unto thee for the LORD. ³⁸ Whoever shall make another like unto that to smell it shall be cut off from his people.

¹ To the Overcomer,
A Psalm of David. ¶ The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is no one that does good. ² The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men to see if there were any that did understand and seek God.

⁵ Thou shalt prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; thou hast anointed my head with oil; my cup is running over.

¹⁰ But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of a unicorn; I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

² Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense, the gift of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

¹ ¶ Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a stinking savour: likewise a small act of folly unto him that is esteemed for wisdom and honour.

² And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD,

¹ ¶ The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me because the LORD has anointed me; he has sent me to preach good tidings unto those who are cast down; to bind up the wounds of the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those that are bound;

³ to order in Zion those that mourn, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

³⁴ For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for God does not give the Spirit by measure unto him.

²¹ Now he who confirms us with you unto Christ and has anointed us is God; ²² who has also sealed us and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

⁷ Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, was heard because of his reverent fear;

²⁰ ¶ But ye have the anointing of the Holy One, and ye know all things.

²⁷ But the anointing which ye have received of him abides in you, and ye do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you of all things and is truth, and is no lie; and even as it has taught you, abide ye in him.
