¹ ¶ And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. ² And I saw the seven angels which stood before God, and to them were given seven trumpets. ³ And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense of the prayers of all the saints, that he should offer upon the golden altar which was before the throne. ⁴ And the smoke of the incense of the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand. ⁵ And the angel took the censer and filled it with fire of the altar and cast it into the earth; and there were voices and thunderings and lightnings and an earthquake. ⁶ And the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound their trumpets. ⁷ ¶ The first angel sounded the trumpet, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the land; and the third part of the trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. ⁸ And the second angel sounded the trumpet, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea; and the third part of the sea became blood; ⁹ and the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed. ¹⁰ And the third angel sounded the trumpet, and a great star fell from heaven, burning as a lit torch, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers and upon the fountains of waters; ¹¹ and the name of the star is called Wormwood; and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters because they were made bitter. ¹² And the fourth angel sounded the trumpet, and the third part of the sun was smitten and the third part of the moon and the third part of the stars, in such a manner that the third part of them was darkened, and the third part of the day did not shine, and the night likewise. ¹³ And I saw and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, who are yet to sound their trumpets!

¹⁶ A ghost stood in front of me, whose face I did not recognize, and I heard it say,

⁷ ¶ Daleth Be silent before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not be angry with him who prospers in his way, with the man who brings wicked devices to pass.

²⁰ But the LORD is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.

¹³ Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD, for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.

¹ ¶ And I saw in the right hand of him that was seated on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

⁹ And they sang a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book and to open its seals, for thou wast slain and hast redeemed us unto God by thy blood, out of every kindred and tongue and people and nation

¹ ¶ And I saw when the Lamb had opened the first seal, and I heard the first of the four animals, saying as with a voice of thunder, Come and see.

³ ¶ And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second animal, which said, Come and see.

⁵ And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third animal, which said, Come and see. And I saw and, behold, a black horse, and he that was seated upon him had a yoke in his hand.

⁷ And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth animal, which said, Come and see.

⁹ ¶ And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those that had been slain because of the word of God and for the testimony which they held:

¹² And I saw when he had opened the sixth seal, and, behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

¹ ¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, ² Make thee two trumpets of silver; of beaten work shalt thou make them that thou may use them for the convocation of the congregation and for the moving of the camp. ³ And when they shall blow them, all the congregation shall join themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony. ⁴ But when they blow only one, then the princes, who are heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee. ⁵ When ye blow an alarm, then ye shall move the camp of those that are lodged towards the east. ⁶ And when ye blow an alarm the second time, then ye shall move the camp of those that are lodged on the side of the Negev; they shall blow an alarm for their journeys. ⁷ But when the congregation is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm. ⁸ And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets; and you shall have them as a perpetual statute throughout your generations. ⁹ And when ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresses you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies. ¹⁰ Also in the day of your gladness and in your solemn days and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings and over the sacrifices of your peace, that they may be to you for a memorial before your God; I AM your God.

²⁵ And he set the Levites in the house of the LORD with cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps, according to the commandment of David, and of Gad, the king’s seer, and of Nathan, the prophet, for that commandment was by the hand of the LORD, by the hand of his prophets. ²⁶ And the Levites stood with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets. ²⁷ Then Hezekiah commanded to offer the burnt offering upon the altar. And when the burnt offering began, the song of the LORD began also with the trumpets and with the instruments of David, king of Israel. ²⁸ And all the congregation worshipped, and the singers sang, and the trumpets sounded; and all this continued until the burnt offering was finished.

⁶ Shall the shofar be blown in the city and the people not be afraid? Shall there be any evil in the city which the LORD has not done? ⁷ Because the Lord GOD will do nothing unless he reveals his secret to his slaves the prophets. ⁸ The lion has roared, who will not fear? the Lord GOD has spoken, who can but prophesy?

¹⁰ Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in the heavens their angels always behold the face of my Father who is in the heavens.

¹⁹ And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and am sent to speak unto thee and to show thee this gospel.

⁶ And the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound their trumpets.

¹³ ¶ And the sixth angel sounded the trumpet, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before the presence of God, ¹⁴ saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, Loose the four angels who are bound in the great river Euphrates.

¹⁵ And the seventh angel sounded the trumpet, and there were great voices in the heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are reduced unto our Lord and to his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

¹ ¶ And I saw another sign in the heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is completed the wrath of God.

¹ ¶ And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.

¹⁵ And he blessed Joseph and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, the God who has fed me all my life long unto this day, ¹⁶ the Angel who frees me from all evil, bless these young men, and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.

² And the Angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush; and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. ³ Then Moses said, I will now turn aside and see this great vision, why the bush is not burnt. ⁴ And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. ⁵ And he said, Do not come near; take off thy shoes from thy feet, for the place upon which thou dost stand is holy ground. ⁶ Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses covered his face, for he was afraid to look upon God. ⁷ ¶ And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows; ⁸ and I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land unto a good and broad land, unto a land flowing with milk and honey, unto the places of the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite. ⁹ Therefore, behold, the cry of the sons of Israel has now come before me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. ¹⁰ Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh that thou may bring forth my people, the sons of Israel, out of Egypt. ¹¹ ¶ Then Moses said unto God, Who am I that I should go unto Pharaoh and that I should bring forth the sons of Israel out of Egypt? ¹² And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain. ¹³ And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the sons of Israel and say unto them, The God of your fathers has sent me unto you, and if they say to me, What is his name? What shall I say unto them? ¹⁴ And God answered unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM. And he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the sons of Israel: I AM (YHWH) has sent me unto you. ¹⁵ And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the sons of Israel: The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me unto you. This is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all ages. ¹⁶ ¶ Go and gather the elders of Israel together and say unto them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you and seen that which is done to you in Egypt, ¹⁷ and I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite unto a land flowing with milk and honey. ¹⁸ And they shall hearken to thy voice, and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews has found us; therefore, we shall now go three days’ journey into the wilderness that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.

¹ ¶ In the same manner thou shalt make an altar to burn incense upon; of cedar wood shalt thou make it. ² Its length shall be a cubit and its width a cubit; it shall be square and its height two cubits; its horns shall be of the same. ³ And thou shalt cover it with pure gold, its top and its sides round about, and its horns; and thou shalt make unto it a moulding of gold round about. ⁴ And two golden rings shalt thou make to it under its moulding by its two corners on both sides for places for the staves to bear it with. ⁵ And thou shalt make the staves of cedar wood and cover them with gold. ⁶ And thou shalt put it before the veil that is by the ark of the testimony, before the seat of reconciliation that is over the testimony, where I will testify unto thee of myself. ⁷ And Aaron shall burn sweet incense thereon every morning; when he dresses the lamps, he shall burn it. ⁸ And when Aaron lights the lamps at evening, he shall burn incense upon it continually before the LORD throughout your ages.

²⁵ ¶ He also made the altar of incense of cedar wood: the length of it was a cubit and the breadth of it a cubit; it was square; and two cubits was the height of it; its horns were of the same piece. ²⁶ And he covered it with pure gold, its top and its sides round about and its horns; and he made it a moulding of gold round about.

²⁶ He also put the golden altar in the tabernacle of the testimony before the veil.

¹² After that he shall take the censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before the LORD and his hands full of aromatic incense beaten small and bring it inside the veil. ¹³ And he shall put the incense upon the fire before the LORD, and the cloud of the incense shall cover the seat of reconciliation that is upon the testimony, and he shall not die.

⁴⁶ And Moses said unto Aaron, Take the censer and put fire in it from off the altar and put incense upon it and go quickly unto the congregation and reconcile them; for the wrath has gone out from before the face of the LORD; the plague is begun. ⁴⁷ Then Aaron took his censer as Moses said and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people; and he put on incense and reconciled the people.

⁵⁰ likewise the bowls and the snuffers and the basins and the spoons and the censers of pure gold, also the hinges of gold, both for the doors of the inner house, the holy of holies, and for the doors of the house of the temple.

¹⁶ ¶ But when he was strengthened, his heart lifted itself up unto corruption, for he rebelled against the LORD his God, entering into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense. ¹⁷ And Azariah, the priest, went in after him, and with him eighty priests of the LORD, that were valiant men. ¹⁸ And they withstood Uzziah, the king, and said unto him, It does not pertain unto thee, Uzziah, to burn incense unto the LORD, but to the priests, the sons of Aaron, that are consecrated to burn incense; go out of the sanctuary, for thou hast rebelled; neither shall it be for thy glory before the LORD God. ¹⁹ Then Uzziah was angry and had a censer in his hand to burn incense; and in this his anger with the priests, the leprosy rose up in his forehead before the priests in the house of the LORD, next to the altar of incense. ²⁰ And Azariah, the chief priest, and all the priests, looked upon him, and, behold, he was leprous in his forehead, and they thrust him out from there, and he also hastened to go out because the LORD had smitten him.

² Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense, the gift of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

¹ ¶ I saw the Lord standing upon the altar, and he said, Smite the threshold and shake the doors and cut the head of them all into pieces; and I will slay the last of them with the sword; there shall be none of them left to flee away or to escape.

¹¹ For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same, my name is great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense is offered unto my name, and a clean offering; for my name is great among the Gentiles, said the LORD of the hosts.

¹⁰ And the whole multitude of the people were praying outside at the time of incense.

³⁰ ¶ And when forty years were expired, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai, in a flame of fire in a bush. ³¹ When Moses saw it, he wondered at the vision; and as he drew near to consider it, the voice of the Lord came unto him, ³² saying, I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled and dared not to behold.

³⁴ Who is he that condemns them? Christ, Jesus, is he who died and, even more, he that also rose again, who furthermore is at the right hand of God, who also makes entreaty for us.

¹⁵ For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. ¹⁶ Let us, therefore, come boldly unto the throne of his grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

²⁵ Therefore he is able also to save to the uttermost those that come unto God by him, seeing he ever lives to make intercession for them.

⁴ which had a golden censer and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, in which was the golden urn that had the manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the testament,

¹⁹ ¶ Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus, ²⁰ by a new and living way, which he has consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; ²¹ and having that great priest over the house of God, ²² let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts purified from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water;

¹ ¶ My little children, I write these things unto you, that ye sin not; and if anyone has sinned, we have an Advocate before the Father, Jesus, the righteous Christ; ² and he is the reconciliation for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

⁸ And when he had taken the book, the four animals and the twenty-four elders fell on their faces before the Lamb, each one of them having harps, and golden vials full of incense, which are the prayers of saints.

² And I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, having the seal of the living God: and he cried out with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the land and the sea,

⁴ And the smoke of the incense of the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.

¹³ ¶ And the sixth angel sounded the trumpet, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before the presence of God,

¹ ¶ And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud; and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:

¹ ¶ In the same manner thou shalt make an altar to burn incense upon; of cedar wood shalt thou make it.

³ And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense of the prayers of all the saints, that he should offer upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

⁸ And the temple was filled with smoke from the majesty of God and from his power; and no one was able to enter into the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

¹² After that he shall take the censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before the LORD and his hands full of aromatic incense beaten small and bring it inside the veil.

⁷ in my distress I called upon the LORD and cried to my God, who heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry entered into his ears. ⁸ Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of the heavens were moved and shook because he was wroth. ⁹ Smoke went up from his nostrils, and fire devoured out of his mouth; coals were kindled by it.

¹¹ And he said, Go forth and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake.

¹³ The LORD thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire.

⁶ Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of the hosts with thunders, with earthquakes, and with great noise, with whirlwind and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.

³⁰ And the LORD shall cause the power of his voice to be heard and shall cause the lighting down of his arm to be seen, with the indignation of his countenance and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering and tempest and hailstones.

⁶ A voice of noise from the city, a voice of the temple, a voice of the LORD that renders recompense to his enemies.

¹⁴ And ye shall see, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like grass; and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his slaves and his indignation toward his enemies. ¹⁵ ¶ For, behold, the LORD will come with fire and with his chariots like a whirlwind to render his anger with fury and his rebuke with flames of fire. ¹⁶ For by fire and by his sword will the LORD judge all flesh; and the slain of the LORD shall be multiplied.

¹¹ Make bright the arrows; gather the shields; the LORD has awakened the spirit of the kings of the Medes; for his thought is against Babylon to destroy her; for it is vengeance of the LORD, the vengeance of his temple.

² And he spoke to the man clothed with linen and said, Go in between the wheels under the cherubim and fill thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubim, and scatter them over the city. And he went in, in my sight. ³ Now the cherubim stood on the right side of the house when this man went in, and the cloud filled the inner court. ⁴ And the glory of the LORD had gone up from the cherubim to the threshold of the door, and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD’s glory. ⁵ And the thunder of the cherubim’s wings was heard even to the outer court as the voice of the Almighty God when he speaks. ⁶ And it came to pass that when he had commanded the man clothed with linen, saying, Take fire from between the wheels, from between the cherubim; then he went in and stood among the wheels. ⁷ And one cherubim stretched forth his hand from between the cherubim unto the fire that was between the cherubim and took thereof and put it into the hands of him that was clothed with linen, who took it and went out.

⁵ And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains, for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal; and ye shall flee like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah; and the LORD my God shall come, and all his saints with him.

⁷ For nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be famines and pestilences and earthquakes in different places.

⁵² and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who slept arose ⁵³ and came out of the graves after his resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared unto many. ⁵⁴ Now when the centurion and those that were with him, guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was God’s Son.

⁴⁹ I am come to cast fire into the earth; and what do I desire, except that it be kindled?

³¹ And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

²⁶ then suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.

¹⁸ ¶ For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched and that burned with fire nor unto blackness and darkness and tempest ¹⁹ and the sound of a trumpet and the voice of words, which voice those that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more;

⁵ And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices; and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

¹³ And in the same hour there was a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain the names of seven thousand men; and the others were frightened and gave glory to the God of heaven.

¹⁹ And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of his testament was seen in his temple: and there were lightnings and voices and thunderings and earthquakes and great hail.

¹ ¶ And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. ² And the first went and poured out his vial upon the earth; and an evil and grievous sore fell upon the men who had the mark of the beast and upon those who worshipped its image. ³ And the second angel poured out his vial into the sea; and it became blood as of a dead man, and every living soul died in the sea. ⁴ And the third angel poured out his vial into the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood. ⁵ And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, who art and wast the Holy one because thou hast judged these things; ⁶ for they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they deserve it. ⁷ And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments. ⁸ ¶ And the fourth angel poured out his vial against the sun; and it was given unto it to scorch men with fire. ⁹ And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, who has authority over these plagues; and they did not repent to give him glory. ¹⁰ And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the throne of the beast; and its kingdom was filled with darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, ¹¹ and blasphemed the God of the heaven because of their pains and their sores and did not repent of their deeds. ¹² ¶ And the sixth angel poured out his vial into the great river Euphrates; and its water was dried up, that the way of the kings from the rising of the sun might be prepared. ¹³ And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. ¹⁴ For they are spirits of demons, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. ¹⁵ Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watches and keeps his garments lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. ¹⁶ And he gathered them together into the place which in Hebrew is called, Armageddon. ¹⁷ ¶ And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of the heaven from the throne, saying, It is done. ¹⁸ Then there were voices and thunders and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as has never been since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. ¹⁹ And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the Gentiles fell; and Babylon the great came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. ²⁰ And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. ²¹ And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent; and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

² And I saw the seven angels which stood before God, and to them were given seven trumpets.

²³ And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven, and the LORD raised his voice and it hailed, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt. ²⁴ So there was hail and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became inhabited. ²⁵ And that hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both men and beasts; and the hail smote all the grass of the field and broke all the trees of the field.

³³ And Moses went out from the presence of Pharaoh and out of the city and extended his hands unto the LORD; and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.

¹¹ And when they were fleeing from before Israel in the descent to Bethhoron, the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died; there were more who died from the hailstones than those whom the sons of Israel slew with the sword.

⁵ The LORD tries the righteous, but the wicked and he that loves violence his soul hates. ⁶ Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, with winds of whirlwinds: this shall be the portion of their cup.

¹² At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire. ¹³ The LORD thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire.

⁴⁷ He destroyed their vines with hail and their wild fig trees with stones. ⁴⁸ He gave up their cattle also to the hail and their flocks to thunderbolts of fire.

³² He turned their rain into hail, into flaming fire in their land.

¹² For the day of the LORD of the hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low: ¹³ And upon all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up and upon all the oaks of Bashan,

¹⁷ And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day; ¹⁸ and shall consume the glory of his forest and of his fruitful field, from the soul unto the flesh; and they shall come to be as a standard-bearer in defeat.

² Behold, the Lord has a mighty and strong one who as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing shall cast down to the earth with the hand.

¹⁹ And the hail, when it shall come down, shall be in the forest; and the city shall be completely laid low.

¹⁰ ¶ Therefore and because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up the wall, and, behold, others plastered it with loose mud: ¹¹ say unto those who plaster it with loose mud, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing rain; and I shall send great hailstones that will cause it to fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it. ¹² And behold, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the mud with which ye have plastered it? ¹³ Therefore thus hath the Lord GOD said: I will cause a stormy wind to rend it in my fury; and there shall come an overflowing rain in my anger and great hailstones in my wrath to consume it. ¹⁴ So I will break down the wall that ye have plastered with loose mud and bring it down to the ground, and its foundation shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I am the LORD. ¹⁵ Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall and upon those that have plastered it with loose mud and will say unto you, The wall is no more, neither those that plastered it;

²² And I will litigate against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him and upon his companies and upon the many peoples that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

³⁰ And I will show wonders in the heaven and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

⁸ And it shall come to pass that in all the land, said the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off in her and shall be lost; but the third shall be left therein. ⁹ And I will put the third part into the fire and will refine them as silver is refined and will try them as gold is tried; He shall call on my name, and I will hear him; I will say, My people, and he shall say, The LORD is my God.

²⁵ and the rain descended, and the rivers came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house, and it did not fall, for it was founded upon a rock. ²⁶ And every one that hears these words of mine and does not do them shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand; ²⁷ and the rain descended, and the rivers came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house, and it fell; and great was the fall of it.

¹¹ For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withers the grass, and its flower falls, and the beautiful appearance of it perishes: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.

²⁴ ¶ For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away,

⁸ And I looked and, behold, a green horse, and he that was seated upon him was named Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given unto him over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword and with hunger and with death and with the beasts of the earth.

⁷ ¶ The first angel sounded the trumpet, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the land; and the third part of the trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. ⁸ And the second angel sounded the trumpet, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea; and the third part of the sea became blood; ⁹ and the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed. ¹⁰ And the third angel sounded the trumpet, and a great star fell from heaven, burning as a lit torch, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers and upon the fountains of waters; ¹¹ and the name of the star is called Wormwood; and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters because they were made bitter. ¹² And the fourth angel sounded the trumpet, and the third part of the sun was smitten and the third part of the moon and the third part of the stars, in such a manner that the third part of them was darkened, and the third part of the day did not shine, and the night likewise.

⁴ And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth neither any green thing neither any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God in their foreheads.

¹⁵ And the four angels were loosed, who were prepared unto the hour and day and month and year, to slay the third part of men.

¹⁸ By these three plagues was the third part of men killed, by the fire and by the smoke and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.

⁴ And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven and cast them to the earth; and the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to be delivered, to devour her child as soon as it was born.

² And the first went and poured out his vial upon the earth; and an evil and grievous sore fell upon the men who had the mark of the beast and upon those who worshipped its image.

²¹ And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent; and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

¹⁷ Thus hath the LORD said, In this thou shalt know that I am the LORD; behold, I will smite with the rod that is in my hand the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood. ¹⁸ And the fish that are in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall loathe to drink the water of the river. ¹⁹ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their rivers, upon their streams, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone. ²⁰ And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and lifting up the rod, he smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his slaves; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood. ²¹ And the fish that were in the river died; and the river became corrupted, so that the Egyptians could not drink the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.

²⁵ Behold, I am against thee, O destroying mountain, said the LORD, which destroys all the earth; and I will stretch out my hand upon thee and roll thee down from the rocks and will make thee a burnt mountain.

⁹ And the prophet when he is deceived and speaks a word, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him and will destroy him from among my people Israel.

⁴ Afterward the Lord GOD showed me this: And, behold, the Lord GOD called to judge by fire, and it devoured the great deep and ate up the inheritance.

²³ For verily I say unto you that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Remove thyself and cast thyself into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that what he says shall be done whatsoever he says shall be done unto him.

⁷ ¶ The first angel sounded the trumpet, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the land; and the third part of the trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

⁶ These have power to shut the heaven, that it not rain in the days of their prophecy and have power over the waters to turn them to blood and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

²¹ And the fish that were in the river died; and the river became corrupted, so that the Egyptians could not drink the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.

⁷ Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.

¹⁶ and upon all the ships of Tarshish and upon all pleasant pictures.

¹ ¶ The burden of Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Tarshish, for it is laid waste, so that there is no house, no entering in; from the land of Chittim it is revealed to them.

³ And the second angel poured out his vial into the sea; and it became blood as of a dead man, and every living soul died in the sea.

¹¹ Then three thousand men of Judah went to the cleft of the rock Etam and said to Samson, Knowest thou not that the Philistines are rulers over us? What is this that thou hast done unto us? And he said unto them, As they did unto me, so have I done unto them.

¹⁹ ¶ And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, the seat of this city is good, as my lord sees, but the water is evil, and the ground barren. ²⁰ Then he said, Bring me a new cruse and put salt in it. And they brought it to him. ²¹ And he went forth unto the springs of the waters and cast the salt in there and said, Thus hath the LORD said, I have healed these waters; there shall be no more death or barrenness in them. ²² So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the word which Elisha spoke.

³ he took counsel with his princes and his mighty men to stop the waters of the fountains which were outside the city, and they helped him.

³ Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of saving health.

¹² How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, who didst claim the Gentiles as an inheritance!

¹⁵ Though he be fruitful among his brethren, the east wind shall come; the wind of the LORD shall come up from the wilderness, and his spring shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up; he shall spoil the treasure of all the vessels of desire. ¹⁶ Samaria shall be condemned; for she has rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword; their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped open.

¹⁸ And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

¹³ raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own abominations; erratic stars, to whom is reserved gross darkness eternally.

²⁰ The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are the angels of the seven congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones}, and the seven lampstands which thou sawest are the seven congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones}.

¹³ and the stars of heaven fell upon the earth, even as a fig tree casts her figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

¹ ¶ And the fifth angel sounded the trumpet, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth; and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.

⁷ saying with a loud voice, Fear God and give glory to him, for the hour of his judgment is come; and worship him that has made the heaven and the earth and the sea and the fountains of waters.

⁴ And the third angel poured out his vial into the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.

²³ And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter; therefore the name of it was called Marah.

¹⁸ Peradventure there shall be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turns away today from the LORD our God to go and serve the gods of those Gentiles; peradventure there shall be among you a root that bears poison and wormwood;

²⁰ And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara; for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me.

⁴ But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword.

¹⁵ Therefore thus hath the LORD of the hosts the God of Israel said: Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood and give them water of gall to drink.

¹⁵ Therefore, thus hath the LORD of the hosts said against those prophets: Behold, I will cause them to eat wormwood and make them drink the waters of gall, for from the prophets of Jerusalem is hypocrisy gone forth upon all the land.

⁵ Beth He has built against me and compassed me with gall and travail.

¹⁹ Zain Remember my affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.

⁷ Ye who turn judgment to wormwood and leave off doing righteousness in the earth,

¹² Shall horses run upon the rocks? will one plow there with oxen? why have ye turned judgment into hemlock, and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood?

¹⁵ looking diligently that no one deviate from the grace of God, lest any root of bitterness springing up impede you, and thereby many be defiled,

²¹ ¶ And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt. ²² And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven, and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days. ²³ They did not see one another, neither did any rise from his place for three days; but all the sons of Israel had light in their dwellings. ²⁴ Then Pharaoh called unto Moses and said, Go, serve the LORD; only let your sheep and your cows remain; let your little ones also go with you. ²⁵ And Moses replied, Thou also must give us sacrifices and burnt offerings that we may sacrifice unto the LORD our God. ²⁶ Our cattle shall also go with us; not a hoof shall be left behind; for we must take thereof to serve the LORD our God; and we do not know with what we must serve the LORD until we arrive there. ²⁷ But the LORD hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he would not let them go. ²⁸ And Pharaoh said unto him, Go from me, take heed to thyself to see my face no more; for in the day that thou seest my face thou shalt die. ²⁹ And Moses replied, Thou hast spoken well, I will not see thy face again.

¹⁰ For this reason the stars of the heavens and the lights thereof shall not shine: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not give forth her light.

²³ Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of the hosts shall reign in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and in the presence of his ancients he shall be glorious.

²³ I beheld the earth, and, behold, it was without order, and empty; and the heavens, and they had no light.

⁷ And when thou art dead, I will cover the heavens and make the stars thereof dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light. ⁸ All the bright lights of heaven I will make dark because of thee and set darkness upon thy land, said the Lord GOD.

¹⁰ The earth shall quake before him; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall go dark; and the stars shall withdraw their shining:

³¹ The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and the terrible day of the LORD comes.

¹⁵ The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.

⁹ And it shall come to pass in that day, said the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will cover the earth with darkness in the clear day;

²⁹ Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken,

⁴⁵ Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

²⁴ ¶ But in those days after that affliction, the sun shall darken, and the moon shall not give her light,

³³ ¶ And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.

²⁵ Then there shall be signs in the sun and in the moon and in the stars, and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

⁴⁴ ¶ And when it was about the sixth hour, there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. ⁴⁵ And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.

²⁰ the sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood before that great and notable day of the Lord shall come;

⁴ In whom the god of this age has blinded the understanding of those who do not believe, that the light of the gospel of the glory of the Christ, who is the image of God, should not shine in them.

⁹ that wicked one, who shall come by the working of Satan with great power and signs and lying miracles, ¹⁰ and with all deception of iniquity working in those that perish because they did not receive the charity of the truth, to be saved. ¹¹ Therefore, for this cause, God shall send the operation of error in them, that they should believe the lie; ¹² that they all might be condemned who did not believe the truth, but consented to the iniquity.

⁸ ¶ And the fourth angel poured out his vial against the sun; and it was given unto it to scorch men with fire. ⁹ And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, who has authority over these plagues; and they did not repent to give him glory.

²⁰ Bless the LORD, ye his angels, valiant and strong, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

¹⁰ and he spread it before me; and it was written within and without; and there was written therein lamentations and mourning and woes.

¹⁴ Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth in service for the love of those who are the heirs of saving health?

¹² The first woe is past; and, behold, there come two more woes after these things.

¹⁴ ¶ The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe comes quickly.

³ and they sang as it were a new song before the throne and before the four animals and the elders; and no one could learn that song but the hundred and forty-four thousand, who were redeemed from the earth.

⁶ ¶ And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the eternal gospel that he might evangelize those that dwell on the earth and every nation and kindred and tongue and people,

¹⁷ And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that flew in the midst of the heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God,
