⁵ Trust in the LORD with all thy heart, and lean not upon thine own understanding.

¹⁵ Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him; but I will argue my ways before Him.

¹ A Song of Ascents. They that trust in the LORD are as mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abideth for ever.

³ Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. ⁴ His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his dust; in that very day his thoughts perish. ⁵ Happy is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God,

⁷ Be not wise in thine own eyes; fear the LORD, and depart from evil;

¹⁹ That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made them known to thee this day, even to thee.

⁴ Weary not thyself to be rich; cease from thine own wisdom.

²⁶ He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool; but whoso walketh wisely, he shall escape.

² Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for GOD the LORD is my strength and song; and He is become my salvation.'

³ The mind stayed on Thee Thou keepest in perfect peace; because it trusteth in Thee. ⁴ Trust ye in the LORD for ever, for the LORD is GOD, an everlasting Rock.

⁷ Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose trust the LORD is. ⁸ For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out its roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but its foliage shall be luxuriant; and shall not be anxious in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

¹⁶ Be of the same mind one toward another. Set not your mind on high things, but condescend to things that are lowly. Be not wise in your own conceits.

¹⁸ Let no man deceive himself. If any man thinketh that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool, that he may become wise. ¹⁹ For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He that taketh the wise in their craftiness: ²⁰ and again, The Lord knoweth the reasonings of the wise that they are vain.

¹ Now concerning things sacrificed to idols; We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but love edifieth. ² If any man thinketh that he knoweth anything, he knoweth not yet as he ought to know,
