³⁸ So they said, "Lord, behold, here are two swords!" And he said to them, "It is adequate."

⁵² Then Jesus said to him, "Put your sword back into its place! For all who take up the sword will die by the sword. ⁵³ Or do you think that I cannot call upon my Father, and he would put at my disposal at once more than twelve legions of angels? ⁵⁴ How then would the scriptures be fulfilled that it must happen in this way?"

⁴⁹ And when* those around him saw what was about to happen, they said, "Lord, should we strike with the sword?"

³⁶ Jesus replied, "My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews. But now my kingdom is not from here."

³ For although we* are living in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh, ⁴ for the weapons of our warfare are not merely human, but powerful to God for the tearing down of fortresses, tearing down arguments

⁸ But because* we are of the day, we must be sober, by* putting on the breastplate of faith and love and as a helmet the hope of salvation, ⁹ _⌊Resist him_⌋*, steadfast in your* faith, because you* know the same kinds of sufferings are being accomplished by your community of believers in the world.
