¹ Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, ² "Command the _⌊Israelites_⌋:* they must send everyone from the camp who is afflicted with a rash,* everyone with a fluid discharge, and everyone unclean through contact with a corpse. ³ You will send away _⌊both male and female_⌋;* you will send them _⌊outside the camp_⌋.* They must not make unclean their camps where I am dwelling in their midst." ⁴ So the _⌊Israelites_⌋* did so. They sent them away _⌊outside the camp_⌋;* just as Yahweh spoke to Moses, so did the _⌊Israelites_⌋.* ⁵ Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, ⁶ "Speak to the _⌊Israelites_⌋:* 'When a man or woman _⌊commits_⌋* any of the sins of humankind by acting unfaithfully, it is a sin against Yahweh, and that person will be guilty; ⁷ they will confess their sin that they did and will make restitution for their* guilt by adding a fifth _⌊to it_⌋* and giving it _⌊to whomever was wronged_⌋.* ⁸ But if the man does not have a redeemer to make restitution to him for the reparation, the reparation is to be given to Yahweh for the priest, in addition to the ram of atonement by which atonement is made for him. ⁹ And every contribution of all the holy objects of the _⌊Israelites_⌋* that they bring to the priest for him will be his. ¹⁰ The holy objects of a man will be for him;* whatever he gives to the priest will be for him.'" ¹¹ Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, ¹² "Speak to the _⌊Israelites_⌋* and say to them, 'If any man's wife goes astray and acts unfaithfully to him, ¹³ and a man sleeps with her and ejaculates and it is hidden from the eyes of her husband and she is concealed, although she is defiled, and there is no witness against her and she was not caught, ¹⁴ if a spirit of jealousy comes over him, and he is jealous of his wife and she is defiled; or if a spirit of jealousy comes over him and he is jealous of his wife but she is not defiled, ¹⁵ he will bring his wife to the priest. And he will bring her offering for her, one-tenth of an ephah of flour. He will not pour oil on it, and he will not put frankincense on it because it is a grain offering of jealousy, a grain offering of remembering,* a reminding of guilt. ¹⁶ " 'Then the priest will bring her near and present her _⌊before_⌋* Yahweh; ¹⁷ the priest will take holy waters in a clay vessel, and from the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle, and the priest will put it into the waters. ¹⁸ And the priest will present the woman _⌊before_⌋* Yahweh, and he will uncover the head of the woman; he will then put in her hands the grain offering of the remembering—which is the grain offering of jealousy—and in the hand of the priest will be the waters of bitterness that brings a curse. ¹⁹ Then the priest will make her swear an oath, and he will say to the woman, "If a man has not slept with you, and if you have not had an impurity affair under your husband, go unpunished from the waters of bitterness that brings this curse. ²⁰ But if you have had an affair under your husband, and if you are defiled and a man other than your husband had intercourse with you," ²¹ the priest will make the woman swear an oath of the sworn oath of the curse, the priest will say to the woman, "May Yahweh give you a curse and a sworn oath in the midst of your people with Yahweh making* your hip fall away* and your stomach swollen; ²² and these waters that bring a curse will go into your intestines to cause your womb to swell and to make your hip fall away."* And the women will say, "Amen. Amen." ²³ " 'And the priests will write these curses on the scroll, and he will wipe them off into the waters of the bitterness. ²⁴ He will make the woman drink the waters of the bitterness that brings* a curse, and the waters of bitterness that bring a curse will go into her. ²⁵ The priest will take the grain offering of jealousy from the hand of the woman, and he will wave the grain offering _⌊before Yahweh_⌋,* and he will present it to the altar; ²⁶ the priest will grasp her memorial offering from the grain offering, and he will turn it into smoke on the altar, and afterward he will make the woman drink the waters. ²⁷ When he has made her drink the waters, it will come about, if she has defiled herself and acted unfaithfully to her husband and the waters of bitterness that bring a curse go into her and her stomach swells and her hip falls away,* the woman will be as a curse in the midst of her people. ²⁸ And if the woman is not defiled, and she is pure, she will go unpunished and be able to conceive children. ²⁹ " 'This is the regulation of jealousy, when a woman has an affair under her husband and she is defiled, ³⁰ or when a spirit of jealousy comes over a man and he is jealous of his wife, he will present the woman _⌊before Yahweh_⌋,*and the priest will do to her all of this law. ³¹ The man will go unpunished from guilt, and the woman, she will bear her guilt.'"

⁴⁶ For all the days during which the infection is on him, he shall be unclean; he must live alone; his dwelling must be _⌊outside the camp_⌋."*

² "Speak to the _⌊Israelites_⌋,* and you shall say to them, '_⌊Any man_⌋* when a fluid discharge occurs* from his body, his fluid discharge is unclean. ³ And this becomes his uncleanness in his fluid discharge: whether his body secretes his fluid discharge or his body blocks his fluid discharge, it is his uncleanness. ⁴ Any bed upon which the person who discharges lies down becomes unclean, and any object upon which he sits becomes unclean. ⁵ And anyone who touches his bed must wash his garments and shall wash* himself* with water, and he shall be unclean until evening. ⁶ And the person who sits on the object upon which the person who discharges has sat must wash his garments, and he shall wash* himself* with water, and he shall be unclean until the evening. ⁷ And the person who touches the body of the person who discharges must wash his garments, and he shall wash* himself* with water, and he shall be unclean until the evening. ⁸ And if the person who discharges spits on one who is* clean, then* that one* shall wash is garments, and he shall wash himself* with water, and he shall be unclean until the evening. ⁹ And any saddle upon which the person who discharges rides becomes unclean. ¹⁰ And any person who touches anything that happened to be under him becomes unclean until the evening, and the person who carries them must wash his garments, and he shall wash himself* with water, and he shall be unclean until the evening. ¹¹ And anyone whom the person who discharges might touch _⌊without_⌋* rinsing off his hands with water shall wash his garments, and he shall wash himself* with water, and he shall be unclean until the evening. ¹² But* a clay vessel that the person who discharges touches must be broken, and any _⌊wood object_⌋* must be rinsed with water. ¹³ " 'And when the person who discharges becomes clean from his body fluid discharge, he shall count* for himself seven days for his cleansing; then* he shall wash his garments, and he shall wash his body with _⌊fresh_⌋* water, and he shall be clean. ¹⁴ Then* on the eighth day he shall take for himself two turtledoves or two _⌊young doves_⌋,* and he shall come _⌊before_⌋* Yahweh at the tent of assembly's entrance, and he shall give them to the priest. ¹⁵ And the priest shall _⌊sacrifice_⌋* one as a sin offering and _⌊the other_⌋* as a burnt offering, and so the priest shall make atonement for him _⌊before_⌋* Yahweh from his body fluid discharge. ¹⁶ " 'And if an emission of semen goes out from anyone, then* he shall wash all of his body with water, and he shall be unclean until the evening. ¹⁷ And any garment and anything leather on which is an emission of semen shall be washed with water, and it shall be unclean until the evening. ¹⁸ If* there is a woman with whom a man lies down and there is an emission of semen, then* they shall wash themselves* with water, and they shall be unclean until the evening. ¹⁹ " 'And when a woman _⌊is menstruating_⌋,* her body fluid discharge occurs in* her body; for seven days she shall be in her menstruation, and any person who touches her shall become unclean until the evening. ²⁰ And anything upon which she lies down during her menstruation shall become unclean, and anything upon which she sits shall become unclean. ²¹ And any person who touches her bed must wash his garments, and he shall wash himself* with water, and he shall be unclean until the evening. ²² And any person who touches any object on which she sat must wash his garments, and he shall wash himself* with water, and he shall be unclean until the evening. ²³ And if it is on the bed or on the object on which she sits, at his touching it he becomes unclean until the evening. ²⁴ And if a man indeed lies with her and her menstruation occurs on him, then* he shall be unclean for seven days, and any bed on which he lies down becomes unclean. ²⁵ " 'And when a woman discharges a body fluid consisting of her blood for many days, but not at the time of her menstruation, or when she discharges in addition to* her menstruation, all the days of her unclean body fluid discharge she shall become unclean as in the days of her menstruation. ²⁶ Any bed on which she lies during all the days of her body fluid discharge shall become for her as her bed of menstruation, and any object on which she sits becomes unclean as her menstruation's uncleanness. ²⁷ And any person who touches them becomes unclean, and he shall wash his garments, and he shall wash himself* with water, and he shall be unclean until the evening.

¹ Then* Yahweh said to Moses, "Speak to the priests, Aaron's sons, and say to them, 'One must not make himself unclean for a dead person among his own people,

⁶ And it happened, men who were unclean _⌊by a dead person_⌋* were not able to perform the Passover on that day. And they came _⌊before_⌋* Moses and Aaron on that day. ⁷ And those men said to him, "Although we are unclean _⌊by a dead person_⌋,* why are we hindered from presenting the offering of Yahweh at its appointed time in the midst of the _⌊Israelites_⌋?"* ⁸ Moses said to them, "Stay. I will hear what Yahweh commands to you." ⁹ And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, ¹⁰ "Speak to the _⌊Israelites_⌋,* saying, 'Each man that is unclean _⌊by a dead person_⌋* or is on a far journey, you or your _⌊descendants_⌋,* he will observe the Passover of Yahweh.

¹⁴ But Yahweh said to Moses, "If her father had surely spit in her face, would she not bear her shame for seven days? Let her be confined for seven days to an outside place of the camp, and afterward she may be gathered."

¹¹ " 'The one who touches a corpse of _⌊any person_⌋* will be unclean for seven days. ¹² He will purify himself on the third day, and on the seventh day he will be clean. If he does not purify himself on the third day, he will not be clean on the seventh day. ¹³ Anyone who touches a corpse, the person of a human being who died, and does not purify himself, defiles the tabernacle of Yahweh, and that person will be cut off from Israel because the waters of impurity were not sprinkled on him. He will still be unclean, and uncleanness is on him. ¹⁴ " 'This is the law of a person who dies in a tent: everyone who comes into the tent and all who are in the tent will be unclean seven days. ¹⁵ Every container that is opened that does not have a lid cord* on it is unclean. ¹⁶ Anyone _⌊in the open field_⌋* who touches _⌊one who has been slain_⌋,* or a corpse, or a bone of a person, or a burial site, he will be unclean for seven days.

¹⁹ And you, camp outside the camp seven days; all who killed a person and all who touched the slain purify yourselves on the third day and on the seventh day, you and your captives.

⁸ Be watchful* _⌊with respect to_⌋* an outbreak of any infectious skin disease, by being very careful and by acting* according to all that the priests and the Levites have instructed you, just as I have commanded them, _⌊so you shall diligently observe_⌋.* ⁹ So remember what Yahweh your God did to Miriam on the journey _⌊when you went out from Egypt_⌋.*

³ Now four men who had a skin disease were at the entrance of the gate, and they said _⌊to each other_⌋,* "Why are we sitting here until we die?

¹¹ And I will put my dwelling place in your midst, and my inner self* shall not abhor you. ¹² And I will walk about in your midst, and I shall be your God,* and you shall be my people.*

²² Anything that the unclean person touches will be unclean, and the person who touches it will be unclean until the evening.'"

³⁴ You will not defile the land on which you are living because I am living in the midst of it; I am Yahweh; I am living in the midst of the _⌊Israelites_⌋.'"*

¹⁴ For Yahweh your God is walking about in the midst of your camp to deliver you and _⌊to hand your enemies over to you before you_⌋,* and so let your camp be holy, so that he shall not see in it _⌊anything indecent_⌋,* and he shall turn away _⌊from going with you_⌋.*

³ It was covered with cedar above, and the supporting beams which were on the forty-five pillars, fifteen to the row.

¹⁸ You have ascended on high; you have led away captives. You have received gifts from among humankind, and even from the rebellious, so that Yah* God may dwell there.

⁶ Inhabitant of Zion, shout out and sing for joy, for the holy one of Israel is great in your midst."

¹³ Then Haggai said, "If one who is unclean from contact with a corpse touches any of these, will it become unclean?" The priests answered, "Yes, it will be become unclean." ¹⁴ And Haggai answered and said, " 'So it is with this people, and with this nation before me,' _⌊declares_⌋* Yahweh, 'and so it is with every kind of work of their hands; and what they offer there is unclean.

⁷ Clean out the old leaven in order that you may be a new batch of dough, just as you are unleavened. For Christ our Passover has been sacrificed. ⁸ So then, let us celebrate the feast, not with the old leaven or with the leaven of wickedness and sinfulness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. ⁹ I wrote to you in the letter not to associate with sexually immoral people. ¹⁰ By no means did I mean the sexually immoral people of this world or the greedy people and swindlers or idolaters, since then you would have to depart out of the world. ¹¹ But now I have written to you not to associate with any so-called brother, if he is a sexually immoral person or a greedy person or an idolater or an abusive person or a drunkard or a swindler—with such a person not even to eat. ¹² For what is it to me to judge those outside? Should you not judge those inside? ¹³ But those outside God will judge. Remove the evil person _⌊from among yourselves_⌋*.

¹⁶ And what agreement does the temple of God have with idols? For we are the temple of the living God, just as God said,
"I will live in* them and will walk about among them, and I will be their God and they will be my people."* ¹⁷ Therefore "come out from their midst and be separate," says the Lord, "and do not touch what is unclean,* and I will welcome you,*

⁶ But we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from every brother who lives irresponsibly and not according to the tradition that they received from us.

¹⁰ Reject a divisive person after a first and second admonition,

¹⁵ Take care that no one falls short of the grace of God; that no one growing up like a root of bitterness causes trouble, and by it many become defiled; ¹⁶ that no one be a sexually immoral or totally worldly person like Esau, who for one meal traded his own birthright.

¹⁰ If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house and do not speak a greeting to him, ¹¹ because the one who speaks a greeting to him shares in his evil deeds.

³ And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,
"Behold, the dwelling of God is with humanity, and he will take up residence with them, and they will be his people and God himself will be with them.*

²⁷ And every unclean thing and one who practices* detestable things and falsehood will never enter into it, except those who are written in the book of life of the Lamb.

¹ " 'When a person* sins in that* he hears the utterance of a curse and he is a witness or he sees or he knows, if he does not make it known, then* he shall bear his guilt. ² Or if a person* touches anything unclean, _⌊whether_⌋* an unclean wild* animal's dead body or an unclean domestic animal's dead body or an unclean swarmer's dead body, but* _⌊he is unaware of it_⌋,* he is unclean and he is guilty. ³ Or when he touches human uncleanness, _⌊namely_⌋* any uncleanness of his by which he might become unclean, but* _⌊he is unaware of it_⌋,* and he himself finds out, then* he will be guilty. ⁴ Or when a person* swears, speaking thoughtlessly with his lips, to do evil or to do good _⌊with regard to_⌋* anything that _⌊the person_⌋* in a sworn oath speaks thoughtlessly, but* _⌊he is unaware of it_⌋,* he will be guilty _⌊in any of_⌋* these.

¹⁴ Then* Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

⁵ When he becomes guilty _⌊in any of_⌋* these, he shall confess* what he has sinned _⌊regarding_⌋* it,

¹⁵ "When a person* _⌊displays infidelity_⌋* and he sins in an unintentional wrong _⌊in any of_⌋* Yahweh's holy things, then* he shall bring his guilt offering to* Yahweh: a ram without defect from the flock* as a guilt offering by your valuation in silver shekels* according to the sanctuary shekel.

⁴ _⌊and when_⌋* he sins and is guilty, then* he shall bring back _⌊the things he had stolen_⌋* or _⌊what he had extorted_⌋* or _⌊something with which he had been entrusted_⌋* or the lost property that he had found, ⁵ or _⌊regarding_⌋* anything about which he has sworn _⌊falsely_⌋,* then* he shall repay it _⌊according to_⌋* its value and shall add one-fifth of its value to it—he must give it _⌊to whom it belongs_⌋* on the day of his guilt offering. ⁶ And he must bring as his guilt offering to Yahweh a ram without defect from the flock* by your valuation* as a guilt offering to the priest, ⁷ and the priest shall make atonement for him _⌊before_⌋* Yahweh, and he shall be forgiven _⌊anything_⌋* from all that he might do _⌊by which he might incur guilt_⌋."*

⁷ The instruction is _⌊the same for the guilt offering as for the sin offering_⌋;* _⌊it belongs to_⌋* the priest, who makes atonement with it.

⁴⁰ " 'But* when they confess their guilt and the guilt of their ancestors* in their infidelity that they displayed against me, and moreover that they went against me in hostility—

¹⁹ And Joshua said to Achan, "My son, please, give glory to Yahweh the God of Israel, and give him a doxology in court.* Tell me, please, what you have done; do not hide it from me."

²⁷ "He will sing to men, and he will say, 'I have sinned and have perverted what is right, and it was not paid back to me. ²⁸ He redeemed my life from going down into the pit, so* _⌊I will enjoy the light_⌋.'*

⁵ I made known my sin to you, and my iniquity I did not cover. I said, "I will confess concerning my transgressions to Yahweh," and you took away the guilt of my sin. Selah

¹³ He who conceals his transgression will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes will obtain mercy.

⁸ And Zacchaeus stopped and* said to the Lord, "Behold, half of my possessions, Lord, I am giving to the poor, and if I have extorted anything from anyone, I am paying it* back four times as much!"

⁸ If we say that we do not have sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. ⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, so that he will forgive us our* sins and will cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ¹⁰ If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

²⁵ " 'When your* brother becomes poor and he sells part of his property, then* _⌊his nearest redeemer_⌋* shall come, and he shall redeem the thing sold by his brother. ²⁶ But* if* a man _⌊does not have_⌋* a redeemer, then* _⌊he prospers_⌋* and he finds enough for his redemption,

²⁸ And it will be for* Aaron and for his sons as a lasting rule from the _⌊Israelites_⌋,* because it is a contribution, and it will be a contribution from the _⌊Israelites_⌋* from their sacrifices of fellowship, their contribution to Yahweh.

¹⁷ It must not be baked with yeast. I have given it as their share from my offerings made by fire. It is _⌊a most holy thing_⌋,* like the sin offering and like the guilt offering. ¹⁸ Every male among Aaron's sons may eat it as a lasting rule among your generations from the offerings made by fire _⌊belonging to_⌋* Yahweh. Anything that* touches them will become holy.'"

²⁶ The priest _⌊who offers the sin offering_⌋* must eat it in a holy place—in the tent of assembly's courtyard.

⁶ Every male among the priests may eat it; it must be eaten in a holy place; it is _⌊a most holy thing_⌋.* ⁷ The instruction is _⌊the same for the guilt offering as for the sin offering_⌋;* _⌊it belongs to_⌋* the priest, who makes atonement with it. ⁸ " 'And* the priest who presents _⌊a person's_⌋* burnt offering, to that* priest _⌊belongs_⌋* the skin of the burnt offering that he presented. ⁹ And every grain offering that is baked in the oven and all that is prepared in a* cooking pan or* on a flat baking pan _⌊belongs to_⌋* the priest who presented it. ¹⁰ And every grain offering, whether mixed with oil or dry, shall be for all of Aaron's sons _⌊equally_⌋.* ¹¹ " 'And this is the regulation of the fellowship offerings that he must present to Yahweh: ¹² If he presents it for thanksgiving, in addition to the thanksgiving sacrifice he shall present ring-shaped unleavened bread mixed with oil and unleavened bread wafers smeared with oil and well-mixed ring-shaped bread cakes of finely milled flour mixed with oil. ¹³ In addition to ring-shaped cakes of bread with yeast, he must present his grain* offering together with* his sacrifice of thanksgiving peace offerings. ¹⁴ And he shall present one of each kind of grain* offering as a contribution for Yahweh; _⌊it belongs to_⌋* the priest who sprinkles the fellowship offerings' blood.

¹³ And you shall eat it in a holy place, because it is your allotted portion and the allotted portion of your sons from Yahweh's offerings made by fire, for so I have been commanded.

² "Tell* Aaron and his sons* that* they must deal respectfully with the _⌊Israelites_⌋'* votive offerings, and they must not profane my holy name, which they are consecrating to me; I am Yahweh. ³ "Say to them, 'Throughout your generations, any man from any of your offspring who comes near the votive offerings that the _⌊Israelites_⌋* consecrate to Yahweh with* his uncleanness on him, that person shall be cut off* from _⌊before me_⌋;* I am Yahweh.

⁸ Yahweh spoke to Aaron, "Behold, I myself have given to you the responsibility of my contributions for all the holy objects of the _⌊Israelites_⌋;* I have given them as a portion to you and your sons as an eternal decree. ⁹ This will be for you from the sanctuary of the holy things from the fire; all of their offerings, from every grain offering, from every sin offering, and from every guilt offering which they will bring to me is _⌊a most holy thing_⌋* for you and your sons.

¹⁹ All the contributions of holiness that the _⌊Israelites_⌋* offer to Yahweh I have given to you and your sons and your daughters with you as an eternal decree; it is an eternal covenant of salt _⌊before_⌋* Yahweh to you and your offspring with you."

³ Now this shall be the share of the priest from the people, from _⌊those who sacrifice the sacrifice_⌋,* whether it is an ox, sheep, or goat, and they shall give the priest the shoulder and the jawbones and the stomach. ⁴ The firstfruits* of your grain, your wine, and your olive oil and the firstfruits* of the fleece of your sheep you shall give to him.

²⁹ The grain offering and the sin offering and the guilt offering, they themselves may eat them, and also all the consecrated possessions* in Israel will be theirs. ³⁰ And also what is first of all of the firstfruits of everything, and of all of the contribution of everything from all of your contributions, to the priest _⌊it belongs_⌋,* and what is first of your dough you shall give to the priest, so that a blessing may rest on your house.

⁸ Will a human dare to rob God? Yet you are robbing me! And you say, 'How have we robbed you?' In the tithes and the contributions! ⁹ You are being cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you! ¹⁰ Bring the whole tithe to _⌊the storehouse_⌋,* so that there will be food in my house, and test me please in this," says Yahweh of hosts, "if I will not open for you the windows of heaven, and pour forth for you _⌊an overflowing blessing_⌋.*

⁷ Who ever serves as a soldier at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat the fruit of it? Who* shepherds a flock and does not drink* from the milk of the flock? ⁸ I am not saying these things according to a human perspective. Or does the law not also say these things? ⁹ For in the law of Moses it is written, "You must not muzzle an ox while it* is threshing."* It is not about oxen God is concerned, is it?* ¹⁰ Or doubtless does he speak _⌊for our sake_⌋*? For it is written _⌊for our sake_⌋*, because the one who plows ought to plow in hope and the one who threshes ought to do so in hope of a share. ¹¹ If we have sown spiritual things among you, is it too great a thing if we reap material things from you? ¹² If others share this right over you, do we not do so even more? Yet we have not made use of this right, but we endure all things, in order that we may not cause any hindrance to the gospel of Christ. ¹³ Do you not know that those performing the holy services eat the things from the temple, and those attending to the altar have a share with the altar?

¹⁹ Then the priest will make her swear an oath, and he will say to the woman, "If a man has not slept with you, and if you have not had an impurity affair under your husband, go unpunished from the waters of bitterness that brings this curse. ²⁰ But if you have had an affair under your husband, and if you are defiled and a man other than your husband had intercourse with you,"

¹⁶ in order to deliver you from a strange woman, from a foreign woman who flatters* with her sayings, ¹⁷ she who forsakes the partner of her youth and has forgotten the covenant of her God,

²⁰ And _⌊you must not have sex_⌋* with your fellow citizen's* wife, becoming unclean with her.

¹⁰ " 'As for* a man who commits adultery with a man's wife, who commits adultery with his neighbor's wife, both the man who commits adultery and the woman who commits adultery shall surely be put to death.

¹⁸ Come, let us take our fill of love making, until the morning let us delight in love. ¹⁹ For there is no man* in his home; he has gone on a _⌊long journey_⌋.*

²⁰ This is the way of a woman committing adultery: she eats and wipes her mouth, and says "I have not done wrong."

³⁰ or when a spirit of jealousy comes over a man and he is jealous of his wife, he will present the woman _⌊before Yahweh_⌋,*and the priest will do to her all of this law.

³⁴ For jealousy is the fury of a husband, and he will not show restraint on the day of revenge.

⁶ Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm; for love is strong as death; passion is fierce as Sheol; its flashes are flashes of fire; it is a blazing flame.

⁸ "Therefore, wait for me"—a declaration of Yahweh— "for the day of my rising as a witness. For my decision is to gather nations, to assemble* kingdoms, to pour out my wrath upon them, all my burning anger. For by the fire of my anger all the land shall be consumed.

²² Or are we attempting to provoke the Lord to jealousy? We are not stronger than he is, are we?*

¹ " 'When a person* brings a grain offering to Yahweh, his offering must be finely milled flour, and he must pour out oil on it and place frankincense on it.

¹¹ " 'But* if _⌊he cannot afford_⌋* two turtledoves or two _⌊young doves_⌋,* then,* because he has sinned, he shall bring as his offering a tenth of an* ephah of finely milled flour as a sin offering. He must not put* oil on it, nor should he put frankincense on it, because it is a sin offering.

¹⁸ She said to Elijah, "_⌊What do you have against me_⌋,* O man of God, that you have come to me to make known my guilt and to cause my son to die?"

¹⁶ And it will not be again for the house of Israel an object of trust, bringing to remembrance their guilt _⌊when they turned back to them_⌋,* and they will know that I am the Lord Yahweh."

² So I bought her for fifteen shekels of silver and a homer of barely and a measure of wine.*

³ But in them there is a reminder of sins _⌊year by year_⌋*.

³ If his offering is a burnt offering from the cattle,* then he must present* an unblemished male; he must present it at the door of the tent of assembly for his acceptance _⌊before_⌋* Yahweh.

¹⁰ I, Yahweh, examine the _⌊mind_⌋,* I test the _⌊heart_⌋,* and give to each one according to his way, according to the fruit of his deeds.

⁴ Marriage must be held in honor by all, and the marriage bed be undefiled, because God will judge sexually immoral people and adulterers.

²² Behold, I am throwing her into a sickbed and those who committed adultery with her into great affliction, unless they repent from her deeds. ²³ And I will kill her children with deadly disease, and all the churches will know that I am the one who searches minds and hearts, and I will give to each one of you according to your deeds.

¹⁸ "And you will make a basin of bronze and its bronze stand for washing, and you will put it between the tent of assembly and the altar, and you will put water there.

² "This is the decree of the law that Yahweh has commanded, saying, 'Speak to the _⌊Israelites_⌋* and let them take to you a red heifer without a physical defect, on which a yoke _⌊has not been placed_⌋.* ³ And you will give it to Eleazar the priest, and it will be brought* out to a place outside the camp, and it will be slaughtered* in his presence. ⁴ Then Eleazar the priest will take some of its blood on his finger and spatter it toward the mouth of the tent of assembly seven times. ⁵ The heifer will be burned* in his sight; its skin, its meat, and its blood, in addition to its offal, will burn. ⁶ The priest will take cedar wood, hyssop, and crimson thread, and he will throw them in the midst of _⌊the burning heifer_⌋.* ⁷ The priest will wash his garments and his body in the water, and afterward he will come to the camp; the priest will be unclean until the evening. ⁸ The one who burns it will wash his garments and his body in water; he will be unclean until the evening. ⁹ A clean man will gather the ashes of the heifer, and he will put them in a clean _⌊place outside the camp_⌋;* it will be for the community of the _⌊Israelites_⌋* as a requirement for waters of impurity; it is a purification offering.

¹² Thus* they lifted up their eyes* from afar, but* they did not recognize him, so* they raised their voice, and they wept, and each man tore his outer garment* and threw dust on their heads _⌊toward the sky_⌋.*

¹³ O Yahweh, the hope of Israel, all those who forsake you will be put to shame, and those who turn aside from you in the earth will be recorded, for they have forsaken the fountain of living water, Yahweh.

²⁹ Let _⌊him put_⌋* his mouth in the dust; perhaps there is hope.

⁶ (Now they were saying this to test him, so that they would have an occasion* to bring charges against him.) But Jesus, bending down, began to write* with his* finger on the ground, taking no notice.*

⁸ And bending down again, he wrote on the ground.

⁴⁵ "As for* the person who is afflicted with a skin disease, his garments must be torn and his _⌊hair_⌋* must be allowed to hang loosely, and he must cover his upper lip, and he must call out, 'Unclean! Unclean!'

¹⁵ he will bring his wife to the priest. And he will bring her offering for her, one-tenth of an ephah of flour. He will not pour oil on it, and he will not put frankincense on it because it is a grain offering of jealousy, a grain offering of remembering,* a reminding of guilt.

¹⁷ the priest will take holy waters in a clay vessel, and from the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle, and the priest will put it into the waters.

²² and these waters that bring a curse will go into your intestines to cause your womb to swell and to make your hip fall away."* And the women will say, "Amen. Amen."

²⁴ He will make the woman drink the waters of the bitterness that brings* a curse, and the waters of bitterness that bring a curse will go into her. ²⁵ The priest will take the grain offering of jealousy from the hand of the woman, and he will wave the grain offering _⌊before Yahweh_⌋,* and he will present it to the altar; ²⁶ the priest will grasp her memorial offering from the grain offering, and he will turn it into smoke on the altar, and afterward he will make the woman drink the waters.

¹⁸ so that _⌊there is not_⌋* among you a man or a woman or a clan or a tribe _⌊whose heart_⌋* turns _⌊today_⌋* from being with Yahweh our God to go to serve the gods of these nations, so that there is not among you a root sprouting poison and wormwood.

³² Then Samuel said, "Bring Agag the king of Amalek out to me!" Agag came to him confidently,* for Agag thought, "Surely the bitterness of death _⌊is over_⌋."*

⁴ But her end is bitter as the wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.

²⁶ I myself found that more bitter than death is the woman who is a trap, whose heart is a snare, and whose hands are bonds. The one who pleases God escapes from her, but the sinner is caught by her.

¹⁷ Look! Bitterness was bitter to me for peace. And you were the one who loved* my life from the pit of destruction, for you have cast all my sins behind your back.

¹⁹ Your wickedness will chastise you, and your apostasies will reprove you. Therefore know and see that it is evil and bitter, your forsaking of Yahweh, your God, and fear of me is not in you," _⌊declares_⌋* the Lord, Yahweh of hosts.

⁶ For if a woman does not cover herself, let her hair be shorn off. But if it is shameful for a woman to have her head* shorn or shaved, let her cover her head.*

¹⁵ But a woman, if she wears long hair, it is her glory, because her hair is given* for a covering.

¹² For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any double-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, both joints and marrow, and able to judge the reflections and thoughts of the heart. ¹³ And no creature is hidden in the sight of him, but all things are naked and laid bare to the eyes of him to whom _⌊we must give our account_⌋*.

¹⁹ 'I know your works, and your love, and faith, and service, and patient endurance—and your last works are greater than the first. ²⁰ But I have against you that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, the one who calls herself a prophetess, and teaches and deceives my slaves to commit sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols. ²¹ And I have given her time in order to repent, and she did not want to repent from her sexual immorality.

⁹ And I went to the angel and told him to give me the little scroll, and he said to me, "Take and eat it up, and it will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey." ¹⁰ And I took the little scroll from the hand of the angel and ate it up, and it was sweet as honey in my mouth, and when I had eaten it, my stomach was made bitter.

¹² "Speak to the _⌊Israelites_⌋* and say to them, 'If any man's wife goes astray and acts unfaithfully to him,

⁶³ But Jesus was silent. And the high priest said to him, "I put you under oath by the living God, that you tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God!"

² For the married woman is bound by law to her husband while he lives, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law of the husband.

²⁶ And Joshua swore at that time, saying, "Cursed is anyone before Yahweh who gets up and builds Jericho, this city. At the cost of his firstborn he will lay its foundation, and at the cost of his youngest he will set up its gates."

²⁴ Now the men of Israel were hard pressed on that day, because Saul had made the army take an oath, saying, "Cursed be the man who eats any food until evening, when I will have avenged myself on my enemies!" So none of the army tasted any food.

¹⁵ and you yourself will be afflicted with great illness, with sickness in your bowels, until your bowels come out on account of the illness, day by day.'"

²⁹ are helping their brothers, their nobles, and entering into a solemn oath to walk in the law* of God which was given by the hand of Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all of the commandments of Yahweh our Lord and his judgments and regulations.

⁷ The memory of righteousness is like a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot.

¹⁵ And you shall leave your name to my chosen ones as a curse, and the Lord Yahweh will kill you, and he will _⌊give_⌋* his servants another name.

²² And a curse will be taken up because of them by all the exiles* of Judah who are in Babylon, _⌊saying_⌋,* "May Yahweh make you like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire,"

⁷⁴ Then he began to curse and to swear with an oath, "I do not know the man!" And immediately a rooster crowed.

²⁷ When he has made her drink the waters, it will come about, if she has defiled herself and acted unfaithfully to her husband and the waters of bitterness that bring a curse go into her and her stomach swells and her hip falls away,* the woman will be as a curse in the midst of her people.

¹⁵ 'Cursed be the man that makes a divine image or a cast image, which is a detestable thing for Yahweh, the work of the hand of a skilled craftsman, and then sets it in a hiding place.'* And _⌊all the people shall respond_⌋,* 'Amen.' ¹⁶ 'Cursed be the one who dishonors his father or his mother.' And all of the people shall say, 'Amen.' ¹⁷ 'Cursed be the one who moves the boundary marker of his neighbor.' And all the people shall say, 'Amen.' ¹⁸ 'Cursed be the one who misleads a blind person on the road.' And all the people shall say, 'Amen.' ¹⁹ 'Cursed be the one who deprives the alien, the orphan, and the widow of justice.' And all the people shall say, 'Amen.' ²⁰ 'Cursed be the one who lies with the wife of his father, because _⌊he has dishonored his father's bed_⌋.'* And all the people shall say, 'Amen.' ²¹ 'Cursed be the one who lies with any kind of animal.' And all the people shall say, 'Amen.' ²² 'Cursed be the one who lies with his sister, the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother.' And all the people shall say, 'Amen.' ²³ 'Cursed be the one who lies with his mother-in-law.' And all the people shall say, 'Amen.' ²⁴ 'Cursed be the one who strikes down his neighbor in secret.' And all the people shall say, 'Amen.' ²⁵ 'Cursed be the one who takes a bribe _⌊to murder an innocent person_⌋.'* And all the people shall say, 'Amen.' ²⁶ 'Cursed be the one _⌊who does not keep_⌋* the words of this law, to observe them.' And all the people shall say, 'Amen.'"

²¹ if I have raised my hand against an orphan because I saw my supporters at the gate, ²² then let my shoulder blade fall from my shoulder, and let my arm be broken from its socket.

³⁹ if I have eaten its yield without payment, or* I have caused the breath of its owners to die, ⁴⁰ let thorns grow in place of wheat and noxious weeds in place of barley." The words of Job are ended.

⁴ if I have repaid _⌊my ally_⌋* with harm, or if I have plundered my enemy without cause, ⁵ let the enemy of my soul pursue, and overtake and trample my life into the ground, and lay my honor in the dust. Selah

¹³ Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen.

¹⁹ And blessed be his glorious name forever, and may the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and Amen.

¹⁸ Because he wore a curse as his robe, let it enter _⌊his body_⌋* like water, and into his bones like oil.

³¹ They shall eat from the fruit of their way, and they shall be sated from their own schemes,

³ and he said to me, "Son of man,* you must give your stomach this to eat, and you must fill your belly with this scroll that I am giving to you." And I ate, and it became _⌊like sweet honey_⌋* in my mouth.

³ Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly I say to you, unless someone is born from above,* he is not able to see the kingdom of God."

¹¹ Truly, truly I say to you, we speak what we know, and we testify about what we have seen, and you do not accept our testimony!

²⁴ Truly, truly I say to you that the one who hears my word and who believes the one who sent me has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. ²⁵ "Truly, truly I say to you, that an hour is coming—and now is here—when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and the ones who hear will live.

⁵³ Then Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life in yourselves!

¹⁴ And Yahweh said to Moses, "Write this as a memorial in the scroll and _⌊recite it in the hearing of_⌋* Joshua, because I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under the heavens."

¹⁹ "And so then write this song for yourselves and teach it to the _⌊Israelites_⌋;* put it in their mouth, so that this song may be for me as a witness against the _⌊Israelites_⌋.*

²⁴ "Thus says Yahweh: 'Behold, I am bringing disaster upon this place and upon its inhabitants—all the curses written in the scroll that were read before the king of Judah—

³⁵ _⌊O that_⌋* _⌊I had_⌋* someone hearing me! Here is my signature; let Shaddai answer me! _⌊As for_⌋* the written communication that _⌊my adversary_⌋* has written,

¹ For the music director. A psalm of David. When Nathan the prophet came to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.*
Be gracious to me, O God, according to your loyal love. According to your abundant mercies, blot out my transgressions.

⁹ Hide your face from my sins, and all my iniquities blot out.

²⁵ I, I am the one who blots out your transgressions for my sake, and I will not remember your sins.

²² I have wiped your transgressions out like a cloud and your sins like mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you!"

⁶⁰ And Jeremiah wrote all the disasters* that would come on Babylon in one scroll, all these words that are written concerning Babylon. ⁶¹ And Jeremiah said to Seraiah, "At your coming to Babylon, then you must see that you read aloud all these words. ⁶² And you must say, 'Yahweh, you yourself spoke against this place, to destroy it, so that there will not be in it anything living, from humankind to animals,* for it will be _⌊an everlasting desolation_⌋.'* ⁶³ _⌊And then_⌋* when you finish reading aloud this scroll, you must tie a stone on it, and you must throw it into the middle of the Euphrates. ⁶⁴ And you must say, 'Babylon will sink, and she will not rise, _⌊because of_⌋* the face of the disasters* that I am bringing on her, and they will grow weary.'" _⌊Thus far_⌋* the words of Jeremiah.

¹⁹ Therefore repent and turn back, so that your sins may be blotted out,

²¹ The greeting is by my hand—Paul's. ²² If anyone does not love the Lord, let him be accursed. O Lord, come!*

¹² And I saw the dead—the great and the small—standing before the throne, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to their deeds.

³ And he said to me, "This is the curse going out over the surface of the whole earth. For everyone who steals has gone unpunished* according to it, and likewise everyone who swears falsely has gone unpunished according to it. ⁴ 'I have sent it out,' _⌊declares_⌋* Yahweh of hosts, 'and it will go into the house of the thief and into the house of the one swearing _⌊falsely by my name_⌋,* and it will spend the night in that* house and will destroy it, with its timber and its stone.'"

⁵ "Then I will approach you for judgment, and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers and against the adulterers, and against those who swear _⌊falsely_⌋,* and against the oppressors of the hired worker with his wages, the widow and the orphan, and _⌊the abusers of_⌋* the alien,* and yet do not fear me," says Yahweh of hosts.

²⁴ you will put them all on the palms of Aaron and on the palms of his sons, and you will wave them as a wave offering before Yahweh.

²⁷ Then* he put _⌊all of these_⌋* on Aaron's palms and on his sons' palms, and he waved them as a wave offering _⌊before_⌋* Yahweh.

¹⁸ And the priest will present the woman _⌊before_⌋* Yahweh, and he will uncover the head of the woman; he will then put in her hands the grain offering of the remembering—which is the grain offering of jealousy—and in the hand of the priest will be the waters of bitterness that brings a curse.

² And he shall bring it to the sons of Aaron, the priests, and he* shall take _⌊his handful from its finely milled flour_⌋* and from its oil in addition to all its frankincense. The priest* shall turn its token portion into smoke on the altar as an offering made by fire, as an appeasing fragrance for Yahweh.

⁹ And the priest shall take away from the grain offering its token portion, and he shall turn it into smoke on the altar as an offering made by fire, as an appeasing fragrance for Yahweh.

¹² He shall bring* it to the priest, and the priest _⌊shall take a handful of it_⌋* for its token portion, and he shall turn it to smoke on the altar _⌊in addition to_⌋* the offerings made by fire to Yahweh; it is a sin offering.

¹⁵ and he* in his fist shall take away from it _⌊some of_⌋* the grain offering's finely milled flour, and _⌊some of_⌋* its oil and all of the frankincense that is on the grain offering, and he shall turn into smoke its token portion on the altar as an appeasing fragrance to Yahweh.

²⁰ But if you have had an affair under your husband, and if you are defiled and a man other than your husband had intercourse with you,"

³⁷ And you will become a horror and a proverb and ridicule among all the peoples where Yahweh drives you there.

⁹ Do to them as you did with Midian, as with Sisera, as with Jabin at the wadi of Kishon. ¹⁰ They were destroyed at En-dor; they became dung for the ground. ¹¹ Make their leaders like Oreb and Zeeb, and all their chiefs like Zebah and Zalmunna,

⁴ But her end is bitter as the wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword. ⁵ Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold of Sheol.* ⁶ She does not observe* the path of life; her ways wander, and she does not know it. ⁷ Now, O children, listen to me; do not depart from the sayings of my mouth. ⁸ Keep your paths far from her, and do not go near to the door of her house, ⁹ lest you give your honor to the others, and your years to the merciless, ¹⁰ lest strangers take their fill of your strength, and your labors go to the house of a foreigner, ¹¹ and you groan at your end, when your flesh and body are consumed,

⁹ And I will make them as a terror, an evil to all the kingdoms of the earth, as a disgrace and a proverb, as a taunt and a curse, in all the places where I will drive them.

¹⁸ And I will pursue them with the sword, with the famine, and with the plague, and I will make them a terror to all the kingdoms of the earth, a curse, and a horror, and an object of hissing, and a disgrace among all the nations to which I have driven them,

¹⁸ For thus says Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel: "As my anger and my wrath were poured out on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so my wrath will pour out on you at your going to Egypt, and you will become a curse, and a horror, and a curse formula, and a disgrace, and you will no longer see this place." '

¹² And I will take away the remnant of Judah _⌊who are determined_⌋* to come to the land of Egypt to dwell as aliens there, and everyone will perish. They will fall in the land of Egypt by the sword; they will perish by the famine, from the smallest to the greatest. By the sword and by the famine they will die and become as a curse, as a horror, and as a curse, and as a disgrace.

¹³ _⌊And then_⌋,* just as you were a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so will I save you, and you will be a blessing. You must not be afraid; let your hands be strong!'"

²¹ Therefore what sort of fruit did you have then, about which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.

¹⁶ to those on the one hand an odor from death to death, and to those on the other hand a fragrance from life to life. And who is qualified for these things?

²⁶ For if* we keep on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, ²⁷ but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and a fury of fire that is about to consume the adversaries. ²⁸ Anyone who rejected the law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. ²⁹ How much worse punishment do you think the person will be considered worthy of who treats with disdain the Son of God and who considers ordinary the blood of the covenant by which he was made holy and who insults the Spirit of grace? ³⁰ For we know the one who said,
"Vengeance is mine, I will repay,"*
and again,
"The Lord will judge his people."*

¹⁰ and especially those who go after the flesh in defiling lust* and who despise authority.
Bold and arrogant, they do not tremble in awe as they* blaspheme majestic beings,

¹⁹ Then the priest will make her swear an oath, and he will say to the woman, "If a man has not slept with you, and if you have not had an impurity affair under your husband, go unpunished from the waters of bitterness that brings this curse.

⁹ He causes the barren woman of the house to dwell as the happy mother of children. Praise Yah!*

⁷ But as for me, I will look to Yahweh; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me. ⁸ You should not rejoice over me, O my enemy! When I fall I will stand up; when I sit in darkness Yahweh will be a light for me. ⁹ I will bear the rage of Yahweh, for I have sinned against him, until he pleads my cause and executes my justice. He will bring me out to the light; I will see his righteousness. ¹⁰ Then my enemy will see, and shame will cover her who said to me, "Where is Yahweh your God?" My eyes will look upon her; now she will become a trampling place, like mud in the streets.

¹⁷ For our momentary light affliction is producing in us an eternal weight of glory _⌊beyond all measure and proportion_⌋*,

⁷ so that the genuineness of your faith, more valuable than gold that is passing away, but is tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

¹¹ " 'And this is the regulation of the fellowship offerings that he must present to Yahweh:

⁴⁶ " 'This is the regulation of the animals* and the birds and all living creatures that move along in the water and _⌊concerning_⌋* all the creatures that swarm on the land,

⁵⁹ This is the regulation of the infectious skin disease* in* the wool garment or the linen or the woven material or the fabric or any leather object to declare it clean or to declare it unclean.

⁵⁴ "This is the instruction for any infectious skin disease and for the diseased area of skin, ⁵⁵ and for a _⌊mildew_⌋* of the garment and for the house, ⁵⁶ and for the swelling and for the epidermal eruption and for the spot, ⁵⁷ to teach _⌊when something is unclean and when something is clean_⌋.* This is the regulation of the infectious skin disease."

³² "This is the regulation of the one with the body fluid discharge and the one from whom an emission of semen goes out so that he becomes unclean by it ³³ and _⌊concerning_⌋* the menstruating woman in her bleeding* and the person who discharges his body fluid, for the male and for the female and for a man who lies with an unclean woman."

⁷ For the vineyard of Yahweh of hosts is the house of Israel, and the man* of Judah is the plantation of his delight. And he waited for justice,* but look! Bloodshed!* For righteousness,* but look! A cry of distress!* ⁸ Ah! Those who _⌊join_⌋* house with house, they join field together with field until _⌊there is no place_⌋* and you are caused to dwell alone in the midst of the land.

¹⁷ " 'As for* a man who takes his sister, his father's daughter or his mother's daughter, and he sees her nakedness and she herself sees his nakedness, it is a disgrace, and they shall be cut off _⌊before_⌋* the eyes of _⌊their people_⌋;* he has exposed his sister's nakedness—he must bear his guilt. ¹⁸ As for* a man who lies with a menstruating woman, he exposes* her nakedness—her source he exposes and she herself reveals her blood's source—both of them shall be cut off from the midst of their people. ¹⁹ And you shall not expose the nakedness of your mother's sister, and you shall not expose your father's sister, because such a person* has dishonored his close relative—they must bear their guilt. ²⁰ As for* a man who lies with his aunt, he has exposed his uncle's nakedness—they shall bear their sin; they shall die childless.

¹³ But the man who is clean and not on a journey, and he fails to observe the Passover, that person will be cut off from the people because he did not present the offering of Yahweh on its appointed time. That man will bear his guilt.

⁶ Then he will bring forth your righteousness like the light, and your justice like the noonday.

⁴ Look! _⌊All lives are mine_⌋.* _⌊The lives of father and son alike are mine_⌋.* The person* sinning will die.

⁸ but to those who act from selfish ambition and who disobey the truth, but who obey unrighteousness, wrath and anger. ⁹ There will be affliction and distress for every _⌊human being_⌋* who does evil, of the Jew first and of the Greek,
