⁴ Let that day be darkness! Let not God look on it from above, nor let the light shine on it.

²² And Moses stretched out his hand to the heavens, and darkness of gloom was in all the land of Egypt three days. ²³ They did not see each one his brother, and they did not rise up, each one from his place for three days. Yet to all the sons of Israel there was light in their dwellings.

¹⁸ Woe to those desiring the day of Jehovah! What is this for you? The day of Jehovah is darkness, and not light.

⁴⁵ And from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour.

²⁰ And neither sun nor stars appearing over many days, and no small tempest pressing hard, now all hope of our being saved was taken away.
