²⁸ And Moses stripped Aaron of his garments, and clothed his son Eleazar with them. And Aaron died there on the top of the mountain. And Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain.

²⁹ And the holy garments which are Aaron's shall be his sons' after him, for anointing in them and for filling their hands in them. ³⁰ The priest shall put them on seven days, the one from his sons taking his place; the one who comes into the tabernacle of the congregation to minister in the sanctuary.

²⁶ and strip Aaron of his garments, and you shall put them on his son Eleazar. And Aaron shall be gathered and shall die there.

¹⁶ Let Jehovah, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation ¹⁷ who may go out before them, and who may go in before them, and who may lead them out, and who may bring them in, so that the congregation of Jehovah may not be as sheep to whom there is no shepherd. ¹⁸ And Jehovah said to Moses, Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him. ¹⁹ And cause him to stand before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation, and give him a charge in their sight. ²⁰ And you shall put your honor on him, so that all the congregation of the sons of Israel will listen. ²¹ And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask for him according to the judgment of the Urim before Jehovah. At his mouth they shall go out, and at his mouth they shall come in, he and all the sons of Israel with him, even all the congregation. ²² And Moses did as Jehovah commanded him. And he took Joshua and made him stand before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation. ²³ And he laid his hands on him, and gave him a charge, even as Jehovah commanded by the hand of Moses.

³⁸ And Aaron the priest went up into Mount Hor at the mouth of Jehovah; and he died there in the fortieth year after the sons of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first of the month. ³⁹ And Aaron was a hundred and twenty three years old at his death in Mount Hor. ⁴⁰ And king Arad the Canaanite, who lived in the Negeb, in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the sons of Israel. ⁴¹ And they pulled up from Mount Hor and camped in Zalmonah. ⁴² And they pulled up from Zalmonah and camped in Punon. ⁴³ And they pulled up from Punon and camped in Oboth. ⁴⁴ And they pulled up from Oboth and camped in Ije-abarim, in the border of Moab. ⁴⁵ And they pulled up from Ijeabarim and camped in Dibongad. ⁴⁶ And they pulled up from Dibon-gad and camped in Almondiblathaim. ⁴⁷ And they pulled up from Almon-diblathaim and camped in the Abarim mountains, by Nebo. ⁴⁸ And they pulled up from the Abarim mountains and camped in the plains of Moab beside Jordan, near Jericho. ⁴⁹ And they camped by the Jordan, from the House of Deserts even to the Meadow of Acacias in the plains of Moab.

⁶ And the sons of Israel pulled up stakes from Beeroth of the sons of Jaakan to Mosera; Aaron died there and he was buried there; and his son Eleazar was acting as priest in his place.

⁷ And Moses called for Joshua, and said to him before the eyes of all Israel, Be strong and brave, for you shall go in with this people to the land which Jehovah has sworn to their fathers, to give it to them, and you shall cause them to inherit it. ⁸ And Jehovah is He who is going before you; He Himself shall be with you; He shall not fail you nor forsake you. Do not fear nor be afraid.

⁴⁹ Go up into this Mount Abarim, to Mount Nebo in the land of Moab, which is opposite Jericho; and see the land of Canaan which I am giving to the sons of Israel for a possession; ⁵⁰ and die in the mountain where you are going, and be gathered to your people, even as your brother Aaron died on Mount Hor, and was gathered to his people;

⁵ And Moses the servant of Jehovah died there in the land of Moab, according to the command of Jehovah.

⁹ And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. And the sons of Israel listened to him and did as Jehovah commanded Moses.

¹¹ Now, my son, may Jehovah be with you, and may you prosper and build the house of Jehovah your God, as He spoke concerning you. ¹² Only, may Jehovah give wisdom and understanding to you and command you as to Israel, even to keep the law of Jehovah your God;

¹⁷ And David commanded all the rulers of Israel to give help to his son Solomon:

⁵ And of all my sons, for Jehovah has given me many sons, He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of Jehovah, over Israel. ⁶ And He said to me, Your son Solomon shall build My house and My courts, for I have chosen him as a son to Me, and I surely will be a Father to him. ⁷ And I will establish his kingdom forever, if he will be strong to do My commandments and My ordinances, as at this day. ⁸ And now in the sight of all Israel, the congregation of Jehovah, and in the hearing of our God, observe and seek out all the commandments of Jehovah your God that you may possess this good land, and cause your sons to inherit after you forever. ⁹ And you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a perfect heart, and with a willing mind. For Jehovah searches out all hearts, and He understands every imagination of thoughts. If you shall seek Him, He shall be found by you. But if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.

²⁵ And now, behold, I know that you all will see my face no more, among whom I went about proclaiming the kingdom of God. ²⁶ Because of this I testify to you on this day that I am pure from the blood of all. ²⁷ For I did not keep back from declaring to you all the counsel of God. ²⁸ Then take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit placed you as overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased through His own blood. ²⁹ For I know this, that after my departure grievous wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock;

²⁴ but He has the priesthood not to be passed on, because of His continuing forever. ²⁵ From this also He is able to save to perfection those who come to God through Him, ever living to intercede on their behalf.

¹⁵ And I will also be diligent to cause you always to have memory of these things after my departure.
