² They speak vanity, each man with his neighbor; with flattering lips and a double heart they speak.

³³ Of Zebulun, going forth to the army, that could set the battle in array with all kinds of weapons of war, fifty thousand; and keeping rank without a double heart.

⁹ For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is engulfing ruin; their throat is an open grave; they flatter with their tongue.

⁷ His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and injury; under his tongue are mischief and vanity.

³ Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity; who speak peace with their neighbors, yet evil is in their hearts.

³ The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit; he ceases to act wisely, to do good. ⁴ He plots evil on his bed; he sets himself on a way that is not good; he does not hate evil.

¹² And those seeking my life lay a snare; yea, those seeking my evil speak ruin, and they utter deceits all the day long.

⁵ A man who flatters his neighbor spreads a net for his steps.

² Oh, that I had a lodging place for travelers in the wilderness, that I might leave my people and go away from them! For they are all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous ones. ³ And they bend their tongues, their bow is a lie. And they are not mighty for the truth on the earth, for they go from evil to evil. They also do not know Me, says Jehovah. ⁴ Let everyone be on guard against his neighbor, and do not trust any brother. For every brother will supplant, and every neighbor will walk as a slanderer. ⁵ And everyone will deceive his neighbor, and they will not speak the truth. They have taught their tongue to speak lies. They weary themselves to commit iniquity. ⁶ Your home is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know Me says Jehovah.

⁸ Their tongue is a murdering arrow; it speaks deceit. One speaks peace with his neighbor with his mouth, but in his heart he sets his ambush.

²⁴ For there shall not again be every vain vision, nor slippery divination, within the house of Israel.

¹⁸ For such ones do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth speaking and flattering they deceive the hearts of those without guile.

⁵ For neither were we then found with words of flattery, even as you know, nor with pretense of covetousness (God is witness),

⁸ he is a double-souled man, not dependable in all his ways.
