² Should a wise man answer with windy knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?

²⁶ Do you intend to criticize words, and the speeches of one who is hopeless, that are as wind?

² How long will you speak these things, since the words of your mouth are like a strong wind?

² Should not the multitude of words be answered? And should a man full of talk be justified? ³ Should your lies make men silent? And will you mock and no one make you ashamed?

² What you know, I know also; I do not fall short of you.

¹ Ephraim feeds on wind and follows after the east wind. He daily multiplies lies and cruelty. And they make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt.

¹³ Who is wise and knowing among you? Let him show his works by his good conduct with meekness of wisdom.
