³⁴ For the company of the ungodly shall be barren, and fire shall devour the tents of bribery.

³ And his sons did not walk in his ways, but turned aside after ill gain and took bribes and perverted judgment.

³ Behold, here I am. Witness against me before Jehovah and before His anointed. Whose ox have I taken? Or whose ass have I taken? Or whom have I defrauded? Whom have I oppressed? Or from whose hand have I received a bribe, to blind my eyes with it? And I will restore it to you.

¹³ So are the paths of all who forget God; and the hope of the ungodly shall perish.

²² Those who hate you shall be clothed with shame; and the tent of the wicked shall be no more.

¹⁴ if iniquity is in your hand, put it far away, and do not let wickedness dwell in your tents;

⁶ The tents of robbers are at peace, and those who provoke God are secure, in whatever God brings to their hand.

¹ And Zophar the Naamathite answered and said,

⁵ Is not your wickedness great, and your iniquity without measure? ⁶ For you have taken a pledge from your brother for nothing, and stripped the naked of their clothing. ⁷ You have not given water to the weary to drink, and you have held back bread from the hungry. ⁸ But as for the mighty man, he had the earth, and the honored man lived in it. ⁹ You have sent widows away empty, and the arms of the fatherless have been broken.

⁸ For what is the hope of the ungodly when He cuts off, when God takes away his soul?

¹² For I delivered the poor who cried for help, and the fatherless who had none to help him. ¹³ The blessing of the perishing came on me; and I caused the widow's heart to sing. ¹⁴ I put on righteousness, and it clothed me; my judgment was like a robe and a diadem. ¹⁵ I was eyes to the blind and feet to the lame. ¹⁶ I was a father to the poor; and the cause which I did not know, I searched out. ¹⁷ I broke the fangs of the wicked, and plucked the prey out of his teeth.

¹³ But the ungodly in heart heap up wrath; they cry not when He binds them.

¹⁴ The sinners in Zion are afraid; terror has surprised profane ones. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? ¹⁵ He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly; he who despises the gain of oppressions, who shakes his hands free from holding bribes, who stops his ear from hearing of blood, and shuts his eyes from seeing evil;

¹¹ So, because of your trampling on the poor, and you take tribute of grain from him; you have built houses of carved stone, but you shall not dwell in them; you have planted desirable vineyards, but you shall not drink wine from them. ¹² For I know your many transgressions and your many sins. They afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate.

² The pious has perished from the earth, and there is none upright among men. For they all lie in wait for blood; each one hunts his brother with a net.

⁵¹ And He shall cut him apart and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
