² How you have helped him who is without power! How you have saved the arm that has no strength!

²⁷ And it happened at noon, that Elijah mocked them and said, Cry aloud, for he is a god. Either he is meditating, or he has gone aside, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he sleeps and must be awakened.

³ Behold, you have instructed many and you have strengthened the weak hands. ⁴ Your words have upheld him who was falling and you have made firm the feeble knees.

¹² Is my strength the strength of stones? Or is my flesh of brass?

²⁵ How forcible are words of uprightness! But your* reproof, what does it reprove?

² No doubt but you* are the people and wisdom will die with you*.

⁴ I also could speak as you* do, if your* soul were in my soul's stead. I could join words together against you* and shake my head at you*.
⁵ But I would strengthen you* with my mouth and the solace of my lips would keep back your * grief.

⁹ Do not cast me off in the time of old age. Forsake me not when my strength fails.

³ Strengthen you* the weak hands and confirm the feeble knees. ⁴ Say to those who are of a fearful heart, Be strong, do not fear. Behold, your* God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you*.

¹⁴ He took counsel with whom. And who instructed him and taught him in the path of justice. And taught him knowledge and showed to him the way of understanding?

⁵ The isles have seen and fear. The ends of the earth tremble, they draw near and come. ⁶ They help every man his neighbor and says to his brother, Be of good courage.
⁷ So the carpenter encourages the goldsmith, he who smooths with the hammer, he who slays the anvil, saying of the soldering, It is good and he fastens it with nails, that it should not be shaken.
