4 There were also who said, We have borrowed money for the king's tribute upon our fields and our vineyards. 5 Yet now our flesh is as the flesh of our brothers, our sons as their sons. And behold, we bring into bondage our sons and our daughters to be servants and some of our daughters are brought into bondage already. Neither is it in our power to help it, for other men have our fields and our vineyards.

12 Then they said, We will restore them and will require nothing of them, so will we do, even as you say. Then I called the priests and took an oath from them that they would do according to this promise. 13 Also I shook out my lap and said, So God shake out every man from his house and from his labor, who does not perform this promise, even thus be he shaken out and emptied. 1 Corinthians 12:12-31

12 For just-as the body is one and has many members and all the members of the one body, being many, are one body; so also is the Christ. 13 For also, we were all immersed into one body, in one Spirit, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bondservants or free men, and all were made to drink into one Spirit. 14 For the body is not one member, but many. 15 If the foot says, Because I am not the hand, I am not from the body; contrary to this, is it not from the body? 16 And if the ear says, Because I am not the eye, I am not from the body; contrary to this, is it not from the body? 17 If the whole body were an eye, where is the hearing? If the whole body were hearing, where is the sense of smell? 18 But now God has placed the members in the body, each one of them, just-as he willed. 19 Now if they were all one member, where is the body? 20 But now they are indeed many members, but one body. 21 Now the eye is not able to say to the hand, I have no need of you; or again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. 22 But much rather now, those members of the body that seem to be weaker are necessary; 23 and those things of the body which we think to be more dishonored, we place even-more honor upon these, and our indecent parts have even-more decency; 24 but our decent parts have no need. But God mixed the body together, having given even-more honor to the ones which are lacking; 25 in order that no splits should be in the body, but in order that the members should have the same anxiety on behalf of one another. 26 And if one member is suffering, all the members are suffering together with it. If one member is glorified, all the members are rejoicing together with it. 27 Now you are the body of Christ and members individually. 28 And indeed God placed some in the congregation of believers, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, thereafter miracles, thereafter gifts of healing, helps, those who pilot others, those with varieties of languages. 29 All are not apostles, are they? All are not prophets, are they? All are not teachers, are they? All are not workers of miracles, are they? 30 All do not have gifts of healing, do they? All do not speak with foreign languages, do they? All do not translate, do they? 31 But be zealous for the better gifts. And I will show to you still a surpassingly-better way.

16 Then two women who were prostitutes came to the king and stood before him. 17 And the one woman said, Oh, my lord, I and this woman dwell in one house. And I was delivered of a child with her in the house. 18 And it happened the third day after I was delivered, that this woman was delivered also. And we were together; there was no stranger with us in the house, except we two in the house.
19 And this woman's child died in the night, because she lay upon it. 20 And she arose at midnight and took my son from beside me while your handmaid slept and laid it in her bosom and laid her dead child in my bosom. 21 And when I rose in the morning to give my child suck, behold, it was dead. But when I had looked at it in the morning, behold, it was not my son whom I bore.
22 And the other woman said, No, but the living is my son and the dead is your son. And the other woman said, No, but the dead is your son and the living is my son. Thus they spoke before the king.
23 Then the king said, The one says, This is my son that lives and your son is the dead. And the other says, No, but your son is the dead and my son is the living. 24 And the king said, Fetch me a sword. And they brought a sword before the king. 25 And the king said, Divide the living child in two and give half to the one and half to the other.
26 Then the woman whose the living child was spoke to the king, for her heart yearned over her son and she said, Oh, my lord, give her the living child and by no means kill it. But the other said, It will be neither mine nor your. Divide it. 27 Then the king answered and said, Give her the living child and by no means kill it; she is the mother of it.
28 And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged. And they feared the king, for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do justice.
